It was never really explained how you came to be and how you ended up on your parents door step as a baby but honestly, you never cared. Ding-a-ling-a-ling-a-ling, your alarm was ringing for 9:00am, you mindlessly smack it until it stops ringing. "Shut the fuck up." you groan to yourself light is seeping through the slightly open curtain, it was like a line of fire burning into your retinas. You sit up on the side of your bed twisting your neck to the left then waiting for a crack to signal you can move your head back into its original position. A strong pain decides to inhabit your head now. "I really need to stop getting shit-faced every Sunday night." you mumble. Rasping knocks on your bedroom door jog you out of your self pity. "Anon!" Dad yells "Just 'cause its summer break doesn't mean you can sleep all day, I didn't get you that part time job so you can fuck around doing jack-shit!" great. Dad's pissed because you came home drunk AND you are late for your summer job, great start to the day! "Anon!" Dad yells again. you were about to yell back a smart remark but you were cut off by the soothing sound of your mothers voice "Thunder, calm down let me talk to him!" "Ok its just he's been, off in the past few weeks." Dad explains "As I said, I'll talk to him." Oh great here comes a motherly lecture, prepare for your ears to bleed out for the next half hour. The mental sarcasm drowns out your headache with a comedic element. "Anon?" "Yes mummy dearest?" you stifle a laugh after speaking but stop after hearing a sigh. "If you act like a foal I'll treat you like one." You smile at this and proceed to get dressed "Look, Chestnut, if I lose this job my Dad will kill me so can you just give me one more chance." You beg your boss "You are possibly the most fucked up individual I have met in my life." The mare replies "I will do anything-" "Chestnut." Mom cuts in. "When did you get here?" You and Chestnut say in unison. "I was just walking by and saw the situation" Mom replied unusually cool towards the scene she must have seen occur very clearly "Please allow me to ask Anon why exactly he was late." Mom added as she then pushed you around the wall and into the ally. "Anon have you seen your father." "No. why." "He's gone." "He has work today so surely he's there-" "No, I went to the station and he wasn't there" Mon cuts in sharply. "Look Mom, your panicking, let's wait until the end of the day and see if he comes home then if not we can get help but for now." you pause. "Just go home and enjoy your day off ok." "Ok, thanks Anon." "Always here to help." You continue with a smile Now for the next problem. After persuading Chestnut not to fire you, you make it up to her by purchasing some flowers, you can't remember what type though, and put it in a vase at the front desk of the shop where she would notice them. After you got home and it turned out Dad was at the local tavern after he moved his day off to Monday rather than Saturday, you proceeded to a hill close to Clouds dale. "Don't be late." you mumble to your self before hearing a windy sound getting closer. "Here she is." you mumble the same way you did before. Thud! she landed. "Hey Anon." "Hi Rainbow." You reply blankly. "Yep. sorry." you say turning away from her and standing on the edge of the hill where it moves from a climbable slope to a steep drop, opening your arms out. "Let's go." Rainbow announced before picking you up, holding you under you arms as if she were holding and enormous cat. The position was awkward and uncomfortable but it was the only way to get to the cloud house since sitting on her back was out of the question. "Oh look Rainbow and the alien!" an unknown voice bellows. "fuck." Rainbow says her eyes darting from left to right "Sorry anon I'm gonna have to put you down here." "Uhh-" you were about to cut in before she drops you on a near by cloud, luckily it will hold, for now. Rainbow seems to be yelling at a bunch of other young pegasi that were taking the piss, when it came to verbal insults Rainbow had a very short temper, but you cant hear anything, they're too far away; then to top off your bad day your cloud gives way.
