Born of Rage: Silent Night

The Hügelland Campaign has been waged for nearly two years. So much blood has been spilt, and so much hatred has been sown. It is deepest, darkest winter; for the second year in a row soldiers on both sides of the conflict will spend Christmas at the front line, away from their loved ones. On a lonely stretch of land, covered with snow and whipped by battering winds, shivering masses of soldiers huddle together around fires as they contemplate yet another coming year of war. Christmas is a time of celebration, a time of remembrance; a time of peace. But in the middle of a bloody, hate filled war, can there truly be peace?

Inspired by true events, this story is an experimental piece meant to covey the joy and meaning of Christmas.

This story takes place in the same universe as Born of Rage.
