Lyra and her Plushie
"...And that's how Equestria was made. Maybe next time I'll tell you about how I got my cutie mark! That one's a knee-slapper! Oh, we're here!"
Lyra and Pinkie Pie walked up to Lyra's house. Lyra's house...Not Lyra and Bonbon's... She didn't notice, but her face had that darned upside-down smiley face on it again.
"Hey, Lyra..." She turned to look at Pinkie Pie, who looked sober for the first time since their walk began. "I'm sorry about you and Bonbon. I mean, I don't know what I'd do if I had a serious argument with Rainbow Dash. Or Fluttershy. Or any of my friends! I can't even im-"
Suddenly, Pinkie Pie couldn't talk. Lyra had squeezed all the air out of her with a monster Ursa hug.
"Ug...Lyra...Can't-"
"Oh, sorry..." Lyra released Pinkie from her hug, her face growing just a little red. "It's just...Thanks. For trying cheering me up, I mean."
"Lyra..."
Lyra's hoof found its way to Pinkie's mouth, and Pinkie's sentence was silenced.
"No, let me finish. I know you tried, and I'm thankful. But there's nothing anypony can do to permanently solve this. Best to just let me get through this."
Lyra's hoof lowered to let Pinkie talk, but all she did was nod at first. Pinkie put a hoof on Lyra's shoulder.
"If you ever need to talk to anypony about anything, just tell me, okay?"
She only gave Lyra time to nod before she said 'Okie dokey lokey!' and bounded off in her usual manner. Lyra's face cracked a smile before she managed to slip into her now-lonely abode.
I never thought I'd be getting into this...
Lyra pulled the panel out of the back of her closet, bringing last year's Hearth's Warming gift from Berry Punch into the light. A quite extensive (and probably expensive) arrangement of various beverages of unknown origin, but Berry Punch assured her that they were safe, but 'not for work or children'. Accompanied with a wink...Lyra suppressed a shiver as she banished memories of that particular party to her subconscious. She drug the packages into her living room, muted her receiver, turned on the television, and pulled the cap off the first drink.
Some hours later, and more cases than that gone, she started thinking about the things that happened. Her falling out and subsequent argument with Bonbon...And then, she had a diabolical idea. She smiled without thinking about it, got off the couch, and proclaimed to nopony in particular;
"If she won't love me, then I'll find someone who does! To the Lyracave! Away!"
She started towards her kitchen, and fell over a lamp that had gotten knocked down in one of her earlier rants. She stumbled into her kitchen, opened the fridge, and pulled open the secret panel. The innards and bottom of the fridge slid back to reveal the entrance of the Lyracave; a slide. Lyra jumped in, with cider in hoof, and was in the Lyracave within the minute.
She wasted no time making all the preparations. Assorted colored cloths? Check. Sewing machine? Check. Bags of fluff? Check. More drinks from her stash? Check-a-rooskii. She started stitching together a masterpiece, despite being unable to sew when sober. Maybe Berry Punch's drinks did something more than distort your perception? Maybe Rarity was having an out of body experience as Lyra? Aliens? Whatever it was, it created a masterpiece; the stitching was perfect, and that 'extra feature' was in place as well. She gave herself a drunken grin as she went over the the computer she just had installed.
Pinkie Pie had told her about the internet, and helped her with various beginner stuff such as 'What is an address bar?', 'Why did Napster get shut down?', 'How are trolls born?', et cetera. But the most important thing that Pinkie 'taught' her was how to access the internet of some alternate reality. Supposedly, they were the ones who created the internet, but that was just a newbie's creepypasta. Within the hour, the deed was done, and everything was in place for her revenge. It was about three in the morning when she left the Lyracave, and went up to her room and literally fell asleep. She was smiling.
About a week went by, each day spent down in the Lyracave either monitoring the auction or managing messages after the fourth day. It was now a Saturday, and she was sitting on the couch watching TV. She pulled another bottle out of her seemingly-bottomless stash of drinks, courtesy of Berry Punch. (I told you it was extensive...And probably expensive!) Suddenly, there was a knocking at the door. She got up, went to the door, and outside was...
"Bonbon!? What are you doing here?"
The pale yellow Earth Mare only smiled, nodded to a 30x30x30 box on her back, and said, "Can I come in?
"So let me get this straight; you bought the plushie I made - of me - because you missed me?"
Bonbon nodded, deigning to take a sip of...Whatever it was that Lyra had poured for them. It didn't smell very good, whatever it was, but Lyra assured her that it was safe, and she was pouring herself another glass. She gave Lyra a nervous smile, took a gulp of...And spit it all over Lyra.
"Ohmygosh! I'm so sorry! I'm so- Lyra? Are you okay?"
She was laughing! And she didn't seem like she was going to stop soon. She only responded after she ran out of breath.
"Yeah...ah...I'm f-fine...You don't seem to like this too much, do you?"
Lyra nodded to the bottle of dark liquid on the table, and Bonbon shook her head with a mix of vigor and disgust. Lyra picked it up, examined it a bit, and tossed it into the sink to drain away.
"I'm sick of that taste anyway..."
"Lyra...What was that?"
"A gift from Berry Punch, but I'm getting rid of it now. It made me do some pretty stupid things..."
Bonbon only nodded as they both started pouring the bottles down the sink. She gave a small laugh, and Lyra cocked her head.
"The sewage system...That stuff...I feel sorry for whatever lives down there!"
Lyra only nodded.
The two mares were sitting on the couch, watching TV, when there was a knock at the door. Bonbon got up to get it, but Lyra beat her to the door. Pinkie Pie & Co. was outside, party hats and streamers aboud.
"Surprise! So, I heard about Bonbon. Hi Bonbon!"
Bonbon waved at Pinkie Pie from where she returned to sit.
"Anyway, I heard, and knew that this calls for a party! So I got everypony together, prepped the party cannon, and got everything ready in the park. You coming?"
Lyra looked at Bonbon, who gave a small shrug, and nodded.
"Sure, we'll be there."
Pinkie nearly jumped over Lyra over the four and a half words.
"Great! No, not great. Supertastic! Did you know that's a word? Anyway, I made a cake too! Strawberry frosting, your favorite, Bonbon! And I invited Vinyl Scratch, too, for music. Don't you know her, Lyra? No? Well, what's a party without new friends? Anyway, I..."

Yeah, I know it's short. Yes, I know I didn't cover the party. I might at some other time, but that depends on the response this gets, and whether or not people want to read it. It's short because I threw it together in about an hour or so. I probably spent more time composing this note than putting thought into the plot of this, and I just kinda let it direct itself. If I write more, should I write more things like this? In comparison, of course. I do plan on writing an epic at some point, but the going may be slow.
