//-------------------------------------------------------// Crossing Over -by speedyracer123- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue //-------------------------------------------------------// Prologue In a Galaxy Far away from Earth was a Planet called Fidem. A planet of beauty and peace. There was one thing that was most astonishing about this Land. Magic, this planet’s people had magic. The gift of flight, strength and levitation. Spells, potions, magic scrolls. The people themselves were not ordinary either. The planet possessed people of five different races. The Earthians, people of the Earth, those who possessed great strength and the green finger. The second, the Unici, people with the ability to shape shift, levitate and use spells, magic scrolls and potions. The third race the Pegasi, people with the gift of flight, athleticism and the ability to heal quickly. The fourth the Crystallum, people whose faces looked like they were made up of crystals, with great beauty and love to share. The last race, the most peculiar of all the Proelia, the warriors and the protectors, with unrelenting loyalty and bravery. The planet itself was divided into three regions; Equestria, the Crystal Kingdom and Aros. They lived in harmony under the rule of the royal Family. The heirs would be given one of the three kingdoms. The Earthians, Unici and Pegasi lived in all three kingdoms, but the people of the Crystal Kingdom, whether Earth, Uni or Pega would be called the Crystallum. Similarly Earthians, Unici and Pegasi living in Aros were called Proelia. The Deceased Queen Uiri and King Umbra had three daughters; Celestia, Luna and Firefly, along with one adopted niece Cadence. After their parent’s death, Luna and Celestia were given Equestria, Cadence, The Crystal Kingdom and Firefly, Aros. On hearing of the King and Queens’s demise, the planets greatest foes attacked. To protect their people the oldest princesses summoned the Elements of harmony. To aid her aunts, Cadence activated the Crystal Heart. On the front lines Firefly led her troops in battle. The fight went on for weeks and proved to be even more lethal to the planet. Tirek was after a sacred Proelian Scroll filled with ancient fighting techniques and moves, only taught to the royal family of Aros. Although all the Proelians were great warriors, only the royal family could master these techniques as they were the only ones to speak Proelian. Even the rulers of Equestria or The Crystal Empire had no idea what was written in that scroll. The language was only taught to the Proelian rulers. But Tirek had long ago drained the mind of a Proelian royal who had not yet seen the scroll. He had the ability to understand and employ every single technique written in the scroll. If he was able to steal it, he could teach every one of his minions and then they would be unstoppable. The princesses fought hard and combining their powers defeated and locked up the villains in a makeshift Prison, Tartarus; its key made up of fragments of Proelian crystals. The key could only be used by the Proelian Royals and if lost would unseal the prison and free all evil. But Tirek had other plans. “I will get you princesses and that scroll.” ________________________________________________________ Several Years Later The three Kingdoms lived in harmony. Celestia had opened a school for gifted Unici, to teach and train them. Luna had gotten married but due to arrogance had been banished to Tenebrous, leaving her family behind.  Cadence had evolved from a Pegasus into an Alicorn. Firefly had formed a team called The Wonderbolts, had married and was now a mother of eight. Our story starts in the Proelian Castle. Where a certain Pegasus was racing. __________________________________________________________ “Bet you can’t catch me!!!” A rainbow blur sped past the door. Behind it seven blurs sped fast trying to catch it. “This is the Captain speaking, targets are in sight. Stay in position, wait for my signal.” “Now!” The rainbow blur along with the seven others were ambushed by several royal guards. The guards grabbed the screaming struggling children only to be knocked out due to a sudden burst of energy emitting from each of the eight royals. The concentration of the waves depending on the age of each child. The largest coming from the oldest and the smallest from the youngest. As the children ran off towards the garden. Two smiling figures watched. “Think maybe we should call them in. It’s time for dinner and I’m starving.” A rainbow haired man said, looking expectantly at the crowned woman beside him. The blue haired woman smiled at her husband, “Let them play.” “But……..” “You can eat later, they just got out of that library.” The woman cut in. She silently flew over to the garden doors, with her husband behind her. This woman was an older Firefly and the man beside her was her husband, Rainbow Blaze. He had been the second in command of the Wonderbolts, now retired was the king of Aros and the father of seven sons and one daughter. The two royals walked across a lush green path, following the sounds of playful laughter. Entering a clearing they saw their oldest son, Riptide wrestling his brother Typhoon. Riptide was a twelve year, blue haired boy with green streaks. He was training in military intelligence and combat, just like his brothers. Their sister had started today, as she had turned five yesterday. And they had just been excused. The boy in his grasp was his younger brother, a red haired boy with magenta eyes Typhoon. Their sibling cheered and applauded as the two brothers suddenly fell with exhaustion, smiling and laughing. “Alright that’s enough. I can’t fight anymore.” Riptide panted. Typhoon nodded and let out a small gasp. “Oh come on, it was getting so good.” Two voices said in unison and two orange heads popped up above the boys heads. One was green eyed while the other had yellow. Apart from that they were identical. The green eyed one was Cumulus while the yellow Stratus. “They’re right, come on, one last time.” A green haired boy name Clear Forest said. “Yeah! Please.” Thunderstorm: A blonde with purple streaks pleaded. “Pretty please.” The second youngest a purple haired boy named Lightning Crash added. “Please, please, please.” The rainbow haired girl, pleaded, pouting and making her eyes go larger than what is physically possible. Riptide sighed and got up, ruffling his sisters hair,” Sorry Dashie, but I’m beat.” “Oh,” The rainbow haired girl, whose name was Rainbow Dash, said and then looked at the sky, with a thoughtful expression. Her brothers watched her with interest. She turned her head back to her brother, mustered the biggest smile she could and said,” Please.” The brothers burst out laughing. Rainbow smile cheekily. “Okay you rascals, your daddy’s hungry and if he doesn’t get dinner soon, he’ll be really angry.” Rainbow Blaze said as he scooped up his three youngest sons. The boys struggled, laughing. Blaze smiled, tickling all three. While this was going on, four boys were crouched on the floor. They silently crept up to their father, their movements silent and dark. A safe distance away from their father, they crouched lower, like cubs preparing for the kill, and pounced. They tackled their father tickling him. Blaze yelled and begged for mercy. The boys continued their attack. On the side Rainbow watched her father and brothers with a smile, giggling she readied herself for attack. She pounced only to be caught in midair and find herself being hugged tightly by her mother. “Mommy, let go, I have to attack.” She cried, laughing and pouting. Firefly chuckled,” I don’t think so, you’re daddy’s already in big trouble.” She looked towards her husband, who was still being attacked and tickled by his sons. “Anyway, how was you’re first lesson?” Firefly said, looking back at the girl in her arms. To the Queen’s amusement her daughter went into a full explanation of reading the scroll and summoning the magic inside her body to create powerful and deadly attacks. How she was able to create a little aura around her but when trying to blast it had accidentally tripped and crashed into a wall. Firefly winced,” Well that must have been interesting.” “Very, but now its dinner time and then bed.” Blaze said, picking her up and throwing her into the air, having escaped from his son’s . “But Daddy I’m not sleepy!” Dash whined. “We’ll see, now come on you lot, Dinner.” Blaze said as he and Firefly led their kids to the castle. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ That night after all the children had been tucked in, Blaze and Firefly were heading to their own room when they saw a light coming from their daughter’s room. Smiling, both Pegasi silently opened the door to find their daughter sitting on her bed, staring at the wall. “Why aren’t you asleep, sweetie?” Firefly asked, walking over and sitting on the bed. Blaze nodded and looked at his daughter. “I can’t sleep, too excited.” She replied. Blaze chuckled,” Being a warrior is great Dashie, but you need your sleep.” Dash yawned,” But I’m not sleepy.” Firefly said,” Doesn’t look like it.” Blaze smiled and got up, jogging out of the room. A few seconds later he came back with his hands behind his back. “I was saving this for later, but………” Blaze brought his hands out front and in his hands lay a Black Panther cub. Rainbow gasped and looked at her father with delight. The panther jumped out of Blaze’s hands and bounded over to the young girl. He silently climbed onto the Bed and purred. Firefly smiled,” This is a little present for your first class. This is Kala, he’s going to protect you. He’ll stay on the balcony while you sleep, okay?” Rainbow smiled, her head nodding of as she yawned and fell asleep. Blaze and Firefly smiled at their daughter and kissed her on the forehead. Blaze picked up Kala and took him to the balcony while Firefly tucked Rainbow in. They silently left the room, turning the lights off. As soon as the door clicked, Rainbow jumped out of her bed and ran to the balcony, threw its doors open and picked up the cub in her arms. She turned her head to go back in, when she caught sight of the Wonderbolts Base, a few miles away. Rainbow smiled, walking forward to the edge of the balcony and stood there watching. The cub was gnawing at her hair. “There it is Kala, my future. One day I’m going to be the greatest flyer ever known……” She turned her head a few centimeters left to see the training base. “And a great warrior, just like my mom.” Kala yawned and nodded, playing with her hair. Rainbow smiled stroking his soft fur and took him inside, closing the balcony door behind her. __________________________________________________________ Unbeknownst to Rainbow, two hooded shadows watched from a distance. “Shall we strike? Master” “No! Not yet, I have to regain my full power, only then can we attack.” The two shadows walked back into the darkness, while Aros slept not knowing what was coming. //-------------------------------------------------------// It's Begun //-------------------------------------------------------// It's Begun Miles away from the sleeping kingdom of Aros, the Princess of Equestria was preparing herself for sleep. Princess Celestia lay awake in her bed, trying to sleep. Her day had been filled with paperwork and meetings. The only light to her day, her student, Twilight Sparkle. She was a clever filly and the only thing that could get the Princess’ mind off of her heartache. Losing Luna still held a great burden on Celestia’s heart. After hours of tossing and turning, she finally crept into a state of deep slumber. That is not to say that she would sleep for long……….. On the other side of the castle, two hooded figures crept up the walls on a rope. Dodging the patrolling Pegasi guards that flew around, they expertly jumped in through an open window. The room was filled with pictures of old Royals, underneath them their crowns, laid on plush cushions were covered with glass cases. All around lay precious jewels that had belonged to the royals of old, each King and Queen of Equestria that had passed, was honored by placing there portraits and jewels in the Jewel Room. A Spectacular spectacle for visitors, the two uninvited intruders did not pay heed to any of the precious gems and stared at the door, listening in silence. The longer figure crept up to the door, putting its head against the wooden keyhole. After a few minutes, five boned fingers emerged from the cloak and turned the knob. The door creaked and silently swung out into a deserted hallway. There was not a guard in sight. The two figures sped through the shadows, peering at corners and slinking into the shadows. Both were travelling at great speeds but were interrupted as a guard turned a corner. The longer shadow yanked the smaller one as it clinged to the ceiling. The guard looked around, his face scrunched and eyes wide. Shaking his head he went on patrolling the halls. As soon as he turned a corner, both shadows landed neatly on the floor. Running forward, they turned left and stopped in front of a door. The door was covered with shiny metal, its surface sharp and rugged. In the middle lay the cross sword lightning emblem of the Proelian royal family. Locked and sealed the door was illuminated by two large troches at its sides, which held blue flames. The figures moved forward and with a swish of its hand, the longer shadow broke the lock, pushing the door open and stepping inside. The smaller figure followed, stumbling over the vines that encased the old room. Dust lay all over the floor, spider webs decorated the walls and there was an eerie silence, as if they were the first to enter in many years. There was a soft blue glow in one corner, while a yellow one incased its opposite wall. The larger shadow stepped towards the blue light, gingerly, making sure not to tread on any vines. His partner; climbed over the larger ones. Both figures slinked towards the light. The yellow light growing further and further away from them as they did. Entranced by the blue spectrum of crystals that had begun to spring on the vines, the smaller figure stooped down , only to be grabbed by the hem and pulled towards the heart of the glow. Silently they turned and ducked underneath an outstretched piece of vine and stopped. The small figure fell on his bottom as his partner dropped him, the only part of his face; his eyes staring at the object that lay before him. In a glass case laid a beautiful bejeweled key. Its body covered in four different types of jewels, each representing the four noble families of Aros. The first gem being in the shape of a snake, a green emerald. The second in the shape of a fox, was orange, a garnet. The third was shaped as a wolf, a blue sapphire. The last one represented the royal family, a ruby in the shape of a dragon. This key floated in its glass case. The long hooded figure stepped forward, silently reaching for the glass case. His fingers were about to pry open the case, only to hear the door creak. With one bound, the figure grabbed his partner and leaped into the shadows. Celestia sprung upwards, her body drenched in sweat, her tricolored mane frizzled and her irises bloodshot. Springing out of her covers, the princess of Equestria tied the belt of her nightgown and threw open the door, shouting for the guards. The castle was filled with her hoarse and commanding voice, as guards raced the halls, opening doors and checking corners. Celestia flew, her wings spread open and her hands shooting a magic aura as she telepathically communicated her orders to each one of the royal guards. “Check every room, every corner, every nook and cranny of this castle. Someone is here, someone who does not have clearance. Find them and bring them to me.” The princess soon landed in front of the door that our two shadows had opened. The royal’s eyes scanned it for anything unusual and stopped at the lock; Broken and hanging open, the result of dark magic. Clapping her hands, two guards appeared beside her. Celestia nodded her head and both Earthians drew their masons and swords. Silently she opened the door and stepped forward.
