Idea dump

It was a few weeks after Clair gave birth to a unicorn. He looked so much like Illusion. Heck if she didn't know ant better she'd think he was! Just then Illusion walked in. "So how did it go?" She asked him her voice shaking.

"I'm sorry Clair. We have to give him up. I tried to stop them but-" He was cut off by Clair wrapping her legs around his neck, crying into his shoulder.

Just then two guards walk in and see the situation. They wait for the couple to calm down. "Prince Illusion Princess Clairity! Are you ready?"

Clair picked up the unicorn that would have been her son, and gave him to the guards. The guards walk away.

Clair looks to Illusion and begins to tear up. "Why can't we keep him?" Clair asked as she burst into tears.

"Royal orders. We're gonna live forever no heir is needed, so none are allowed." Illusion said as he hugged his wife crying.

The two shared an embrace as they fell onto the bed and passed out.
