Take my hand... Peter

Mom? No! No! No! No! Mom! No!

Come with me,

No! No!

You've got to stay here. Please.

No!... MOM!!!

The young boy screamed as he woke up. Peter Jason Quill remembered it in a flash: him mom died in front of him, running out of the hospital, and a bright light took him. He looked around him, seeing that he wasn't in his room at home anymore, nor a cloud-looking place, but a very cold and metallic cell with a very dim blue light. Looking at himself, he had all his clothes on, but his walkman and headphones were missing. A low 'Clip-Clop' was heard, matching those of a horse back home, followed by a low 'Eep!', with a thud. Peter panicked, crawling back and had his back on the wall. Though it was dark, he picked up the closest thing next to him: a pair of glasses that were comically large.

"S-Stay back!" he threatened, but unsure what to do with the glasses. "I-I-I will fight!"

"Pl-Please," the voice of a girl replied "I-I-I don't want to be hurt!" A pause went between the two, with the only sound being a low hum and their own heavy breathing. Peter wasn't a bad kid; him mother told him that he had his father in him, despite not knowing what his father actually did nor looked liked. He slowly stood up.

"You... you still there?"

"...Yeah."

"Who are you?"

"I'm... I'm Moondancer."

"Moondancer? That sounds fake."

"Well, what's yours?"

"Peter... Peter Jason Quill."

"... That sounds fake."

"Who are you to judge? That's what my parents named me."

"And Moondancer is the name MY parents gave me." Another pause, followed by a chuckle between both kids. Peter took a few steps forward, followed by Moondancer, who had the clip-clop noise from horses, both headed to the dim blue light in the middle.

"Do... do you remember what happened to you?" Moondancer stopped.

"I... I don't, actually." He stopped

"What do you mean?"

"Well... I remember vaguely, but... everything is... I can't recall."

"Can you try?" A pause came between the two.

"I... I remember a party... I was sad, actually. I ran back home, crying. A bright light came... and I'm here."

"...That was very vague."

"What about you?"

"... My mom... she... she died." A long pause came between the two. Moondancer's clip-clopping was heard, approaching.

"Peter... Um... I... I-"

"Don't. Please, I... I just need-" he began to tear up. "I just... I should've-!" He felt a force around him, lunging him to the blue light to what looked liked an animal in the middle. Instead of hitting the wall, he fell to his knees as he landed at the animal, feeling warm fur on his face, as well as two large cylinders on his back, feeling as if he was being hugged.

"It's okay, Peter. Let it out." Moondancer's near, calm voice spoke, along with her heart thumping. Peter then realized that Moondancer wasn't like him, but something else, but due to warmness of her fur, and the feeling of being hugged, Peter cried hard, burying his face into Moondancer's fur as she hugged him in a warm embrace. After a good time of crying, Peter, though sniffling and rubbing his eyes, stood up.

"Th-thank you."

"It's alright, Peter. Hey, are those my glasses?" Peter finished rubbing his eyes, seeing something that immediately made him groan: Moondancer was, in fact, a light yellow unicorn with a red mane with a light & dark shade of purple stripes, and had a mark on both flanks that was a crescent moon with three stars around it.

"Oh great! I cried with a life size 'My Little Pony'!" Moondancer tilted her head to the right

"...My little Pony?" She looked at herself "Well, I am a pony, a unicorn pony to be exact, but I don't see anything wrong with-"

"Of all the things I could've been with, I got stuck with a real life baby horse girl toy!"

"Hey! I am not a baby! I'm 10 years old."

"Should I be impressed? Because I'm 11." He felt himself levitated from the floor and noticed an almost invisible, white aura around him. "Hey! What the-!?" He was turned upside down, then turned around to see Moondancer was lifting him, her horn glowing with the same aura. "Hey! How are you doing that!?"

"Magic. Now, I'll take that." The glasses came out of Peter's hand. Peter watched as the glasses landed on Moondancer's muzzle, making her look more like a nerd. She was brought closer to her face "Now... what in Equestria are you?" Despite being upside down, Peter crossed his arms.

"I'm a human, pony."

"A human? ... Never heard of your kind."

"What!? Oh, that's strange, because I certainly know what you are!"

"True, but, from what I can tell, I'm a lot more powerful than you."

"I beg to differ."

"Oh yeah? How?" Using a tactic he used on his friends cats & dogs, Peter extended his right finger out and poked Moondancer on her nose. It worked: Moondancer's horn stopped it's aura, dropping Peter, as she made a weird face, placing her front hooves on her muzzle while blushing.

"Ha! It worked!"

"Wha-What did you do? What happened!?"

"And now, my second trick!" Using his left hand, Peter began to scratch behind Moondancer's right ear. Moondancer gasped, but her eyes drooped in relaxation, making her lay down on the floor, moaning to herself.

"Oh... that feels... good~." Peter couldn't help but laugh at this; sure she was a pony straight from a stupid kid's show, but not only was she different, by not only having a brain, but that she acted like more like a dog. Curious, Peter stopped scratching behind Moondancer's ear, and began to rub her belly. She squeed as he did this, followed by a huge load of both her giggling and squirming. Peter laughed with her; he may had the worst day of his life, but inside, he knew, even with the worst of times, they were going to be together. Sure, he may be having fun with something that only a girl would like, and with no one was watching, he didn't mind anymore. Unbeknownst to either of them, they were being watched.

Watching them through a live recording in their cell was Yondu Udonta, the leader of a group of mercenaries called "The Ravagers". He sat in his chair, wearing a red jacket that had the Ravager's logo (a fireball) on it. He looked like a full grown human male, but two things said he wasn't: the first was obviously his blue skin, and the second was his low, red metallic mohawk popping out of his skull. One of the ravagers approached behind him.

"Sir," he spoke in a raspy voice "Shall we drop the two off at their home?"

"Nah," Yondu replied with a wicked smile. "that guy's a jackass."

"Wha-!? But sir-"

"He ain't gonna do anything. 'Sides, I think this boy has potential. And that thing he's with... I think she's going to be a great asset."

"But... what is she?"

"I don't give a damn on what she was, only that she becomes a Ravager like us. Plus, I ain't gonna lie, they're cute... especially her." On Camera, both Peter and Moondancer slept on the floor. "Heh... such cuties."
