Rainbow Dash woke up to the sound of knocking at her front door. She got out of her bed and trudged to her door, wondering who would wake her up at this hour. She opened the door to see a girl dressed in pink, with pink ringlets styled to match her complexion perfectly. She rleconized this as Pinkie pie, and man did she look beautiful today. That beauty could only be matched by Fluttershy.
"Hiya Pinkie, how ya doin'?" Rainbow said sleepily.
"I'M DOING SUPERLY AMAZINGLY AWESOMELY PERFECT!!!" Pinkie shouted. The shriek sent Rainbow flying backward in surprise.
Pinkie's shout had jolted Rainbow half awake, and she started to recollect her thoughts.
She was just about to ask Pinkie how she could stand on the cloud which was her porch without wings, but than decided against it. There was no point. I was Pinkie Pie, no one, not even Twilight, could figure her out.
"Why you, yawn, waking me up this early?" Rainbow asked, her words jumbled up. But Pinkie had known Rainbow long enough to know what she ment.
"Don't be such a silly willy Dashie, it's noon!" Pinkie said with a twirl.
Rainbow blushed. She knew how to tell time based on the position of the sun, but hadn't bothered to check. She checked real quick, and noticed she wouldn't have been able to tell because of all the rain clouds. Rain clouds? It wasn't supposed to rain until-
She did a mental face palm. She was up so long at the Summer Sun Celebration she had slept till noon, and forgot to do her job.
100 % awake she checked the sky again to see how long until th storm hit. She had a good 40 minutes.
"Pinkie, why are you here?" Rainbow rushed her friend, throwing on a pair of shoes.
"Well, since the library is blown up, and Twilights new one has no books in it, I was wondering if I could borrow the second Daring Do book." Pinkie said as Rainbow tied her hair up.
"Sure, it's in the bookshelf in my room." Rainbow said pulling a shirt on over her tank top.
"Thanks!" Pinkie said as Rainbow slammed the door. She shrugged, and skipped over to Rainbows room.
Pinkie Pie looked at Rainbows bookshelf filled to the brim with Daring Do books, posters, trophies, and anything else she could cram into it.
She pulled out a hard covered book that was tattered with rips, doggie folds, and coffee stains. "Wow, Rainbows bookshelf is a mess," Pinkie said.
She grabbed a book titled 'Daring Do 2 the Griffins Goblet.' This one was in worse shape than a the others.
It had seemed as if the cover had been taped onto the book. After a bit of examining, she realized it indeed was. "Whatevsies!"she said. "Beggars can't be choosers!"
She grabbed the book and floated down through the cloud to the ground.
Not fully aware of what she had just done the impossible, she skipped over to the sugar bakers.
Pinkie Pie sat down at the Cake's bakery and sweet shop (The Sugar Bakers), and started talking to Mr. Cake, currently occupying the 4 year old twins, Pumpkin Cake and Pound Cake.
The twins stopped as soon as Pinkie Pie entered. "Hi Pinkie," they said, and wet back to what they were doing.
"Hello Pinkie, how are you doing?" Mr. Cake asked. "I'm doing amazing Mr. Cake. I just went to see Rainbow Dash."
"What for?" Mr. Cake said struggling to get Pound on the ground.
"Oh, I went to borrow the second Daring Do book from Rainbow Dash," she said.
"Rainbow Dash?" Mr. Cake asked. "Yeh, Twilight doesn't have it yet," Pinkie answered. Mr. Cake nodded, then said, "You know, I've been reading it to the twins. What makes you interested in Daring Do?"
"Every thing!" Pinkie yelled. "The traps, the evil schemes, the plot twists, everything! Though the one thing I don't get is why they spend so much time on the villain, Daring Do. Heck, even the tittle is Daring Do."
Mr. Cake was about to tell her that wasn't the the case, but decided against it. Instead, he let Pinkie keep talking.
-Ten minutes later-
"Then she leapt and said, "Better luck next time Ahuizotl!" It was awesome. You really should read it!" Pinkie said.
"I already have Pinkie," Mr. Cake stated. "If you're done telling me about it, could you come help me with these pastries?"
"Okay!" Pinkie said, skipping to her room upstairs to put away the book
*****
Rainbow Dash got home after a couple hours of weather duty. She had a hard time concentrating after the incident with Pinkie Pie earlier in the day. Over the past couple of weeks, she couldn't stop thinking of Pinkie Pie. Like how pretty she was, how her hair was a perfect shade of pink, and how her lips were so...
She shook her head, trying to keep it out of her mind. She laid down to take a nap, but couldn't. She decided to write about it in her journal.
She went to her bookshelf to get her journal. She had pasted the cover of the second Daring Do book on it. After all, it was her favorite one.
She spotted it, and pulled it out from under a trophy. She opened it to see lines of printed words. This was the actual Daring Do book. That meant Pinkie had accidentally taken her journal. She stood up and went to the door. She was flying to the Sugar Bakers as fast as she could, and didn't notice Fluttershy in her pathway.
The next few seconds were a blur. The most clear thing was Fluttershy kissing her. She hit he ground. All she could see was darkness.
