It has been many years since the failed Invasion of Canterlot, and the conquest of the Equine Kingdoms; the Changelings having retreated southward to their native lands beyond the rolling peaks of the Macintosh Hills.

Looking down from her ancestral throne the opulence and dignified majesty of the Changelings sits: Chrysalis, the Twelfth of Her Name. At her side sits her dearest nephew and first in line for the throne, Prince Penumbra, that is until her majesty bares a daughter to an unknown stallion. A nymph with skin color of a bleached skull; and flowing hair of rosy-locks. From her tapering, beautiful head stare two credulous eyes, crimson and star-filled. She is Lacewing, Princess of the Changelings.
