When she heard that she stood up in surprised. "WHAT!" She screamed "Why are they pardoning her, it's her fault my company building got destroyed!" "Mistress Dash please calm down." Whooves said. "Calm down, how can I calm down when an alien who killed thousands of ponies was just let go!" Dash said. "There nothing you can do about it, so why do you sit down and have a nice cup of tea." Whooves said. "Rainbow Dash may not be able to stop him, but I know somepony who can." she said. Rainbow ran to the statue near the grandfather clock and lifted the statue head up reveling a button she pressed the button and a secret door opened with stairs leading to somewhere. She walked down the stairs with Doctor Whooves following. She entered a large cave with a lot of gizmos and gadgets all around. She then walked pasted a glass case with a suit displayed with graffiti on it that said "Ha-Ha Jokes on you Zapp." She then head to a cylinder looking door placed her hoof on the hoof scanner and the door opened revealing the costume of Zapp on display. "You can't be serious mistress, you gave up that life after you lost Scootaloo to Discord." Whooves Said. "Well maybe this Matter-Horn needs to know that it's not okay to come to our world and get away with murder!" Dash said angrily. "So what are you going to do?" Whooves said. "Teach her a lesson!" Dash said. " You mean you're gonna to go to war?" Whooves asked. "She the one that brought the war to us." Dash said. "Count the dead, thousands of ponies." "She was saving our world!" Whooves said. "What's next?" Dash asked. "Millions?' "Why?" Whooves asked. "Because twenty years in Ponyville how many good ponies are left?" she asked. "How many stayed that way?" As Rainbow Dash walked towards her costume she heard Whooves said. "That's how it starts." "What do you mean?" Dash asked. "The fever, the rage, the feeling of powerlessness that turns good ponies cruel." Whooves finished. "She has the power to wipe out the entire pony race and if we believe there's even a 1% chance that she is our enemy we have to take it as a absolute certainty that we have to destroy her!" Dash angrily said. "She is not our enemy!" Whooves said. "She became our enemy when she came to our world." Dash said. As Rainbow Dash was getting her suit on she heard Whooves say "You know you can't win this, it's suicide." After hearing this she started to think that what if she wasn't strong enough to beat her so she repiled "I know." Matter-Horn thought As she land on top of the AMC apartment building she was greeted by Flash with a kiss. As they separated Flash said "So is it really true that your going to obey everything the government going to tell you." Flash said concerned "I have to, its the only why to earn the ponies trust." Matter-Horn said "No its not doing the right thing doesn't mean obeying every law they have you to follow." he said "Can I tell you something?" she asked "Sure, you know you can always tell me anything." he said "All this time during the campaign Matter-Horn was never real to them." she said Seeing Matter-Horn looking said he reached up and touch her symbol on her chest and said "This means something, it's all some ponies have and it's all that gives them hope." "Mistress Dash are you sure about this, you haven't fought in years." Whooves said though her ear piece "These gangs have been terrorizing Ponyville for months, I think its time to teach them to be feared." Dash said As she was preparing for the battle ahead she felt that she was being watch, but ignored it "It's time." Dash said She jumped from the roof and crashed through the glass on the other building and one of the gang members looked up,but it was to late Zapp landed on him knocking him unconscious immediately, causing the attention of everypony in the warehouse. "Alright we can do this the easy way or the hard way." Dash said through her voice modifier in her cowl The gang members all pointed their weapons at her "Alright the hard way it is." she said Just then she though a smoke bomb on the floor causing the entire place to be covered in smoke "Where she go!" one gang member asked "I can't see anything!" another said as they were both taken out by her "There she is!" the gang leader said They opened fire at her as she was taken them out one by one. "Is that the best you got." Dash said as she threw one of the bad guys against the wall breaking it as he hit it "Retreat!" the gang leader said They all scattered as she ignored them she chased the leader, until he tripped and she tackled him onto the ground. The gang leader said nothing as Zapp got up and before the officers can say anything she flew away as fast as sound "What was that." one officer said "That rookie was a savior." the Pegasus officer said As more police arrived taken the wounded stallions to jail as Zapp watched hidden in the shadows. She stayed their until they have gone and came out of hiding "I'm not young as I used to be." Matter-Horn betrayed the government assassinated Princess Celestia and caused Equestria to have a war with all of the other countries that surrounded it causing in a nuclear Apocalypse. AS she came over the mountain of sand and dust she saw a wired looking symbol carved into the earth: a crescent moon . She thought none of it as she continued onward towards her destination which is unknown. "How could I let this come to it." Zapp said "I should've taken her out all those years ago." Sudden out of nowhere ponies in black suits ambushed her. She fought them as theywere trying to hold her down. Then she notice Matter-Horn logo on their suits. As they continued fighting something caught their attention swarms of insects like creatures started to attack them. Zapp notice this was the chance to escape, but before she could do so she was hit on the head and was knocked out. When she came true she found herself tied up in a strange room were ten other ponies who were also tied up as well "Where am I!" Zapp screamed which one of the solider notice "Quiet!" he said "You are going to be judged!" Just then Matter-Horn came crashing in the room which is when the solders keeled down before her. AS she got close to Zapp she said "Finally after all this time i finally caught you." Matter Horn said Just then Matter-Horn reached for Zapp masked and ripped it right off her which underneath reviled a very angry Rainbow Dash. As she threw the mask on the ground Rainbow said angrily "YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Matter horn smiled at this comment and said calmly "Oh I already have." Rainbow noticed Matter-Horn started to glow and then before she knew it she woke up "NO!" Rainbow screamed as she awoke That when Doctor Whooves opened the door and came in with a worried face "Mistress Dash are you okay." Whooves responded "No I'm not okay I had a nightmare where Matter-Horn caused the destuction of the world." "It was only a dream." Whooves said "Maybe or maybe its a sign that I need to take her down once and for all." Chapter 12 Preperation Chapter 12 Preperation Rainbow Dash was in her cave building her suit she will use against Matter-Horn when Whooves came up to her and asked "What are you doing?" "Building my exo suit I will be using on Matter-Horn." Rainbow said "You're not even fully recovered from your last battle." Whooves said "Well I will just have to improvise...a lot." Rainbow said "Speak of did you get what I ask you to get?" "Yes, I did." Whooves said as he handed Rainbow a container "What are you going to use this for." "Well, when I was at the scene of the battle of Canterlot I saw a tiny purple glow rock affecting her powers making her weak as she battle the invaders, which is what I will use on her when I attack her." "Speaking of which the Daily Peagus published a article on the meteting between you and Matter-Horn." "What!?" Rainbow said as she grabbed the newspaper from Whooves "Article by Twilight Sparkle." "The same reporter who question you on Zapp affect on Ponyville." "Yes that is very curious." "It is Mistress." "Whooves." Rainbow said "Yes, Rainbow." Whooves said "What if Twilight Sparkle is Matter-Horn!" Rainbow said "Well the similarities are some what identical." Whooves said "No...it is not, Twilight Sparkle is definitely Matter-Horn I'm sure of it." Rainbow said "Well, if you are sure of it then you better face her and see if it is true." Whooves said "Maybe, I will." Rainbow said as she walked away Meanwhile at the Daily Pegasus "Twilight I need those financial reports now." one pony said "Yes of course." Whooves said "I know, which is why I installed sort range boosters on my hooves piece." Rainbow said She finished putting her suit on and told Whooves "It's time to test this suit on, Whooves aim that laser gun, which will simulate Matter-Horn blasts." Whooves began to aim the laser at Zapp and fired which Zapp suit's manage to withstand "Whooves did you make the two weapons I asked for." she asked "Yes madame, your sonic disruption gun and grande launcher with one of the containers contains the dust of the purple crystail you found, is ready." he said "Good." she said as she placed them on her back As Zapp was walking to her door to prepare for her battle with Matter-Horn she turned around and told Whooves "Just in case if I don't survive this, I want you to know you were the best butler anypony could ever have and I thank you for your years of service to me." Then she hugged him and walked away towards the door "Goodbye, Misstress Dash." he said with a sad voice Author's Note Next Chapter: THE BATTLE BEGINS Chapter 15 Face Off Part 1It started to rain as Zapp was setting up her beacon and flipped the switch on the beacon which light up the sky with her symobol. As she looked up in the sky and saw Matter-Horn flying in the sky and saw her dive really fast and slammed into the ground. They started to walk tworads each other and starting at each other in the eyes. That's when Matter-Horn broke the silance "Given your background and profile, I expected you to be paranoid enough to try to strike at me first, even if I tried reason first. Still, I had to at least try reason. I don't particularly mind you trying to attack ME, but I would prefer you didn't use attacks that pose a sizable risk to innocent sentient." "You know me so well." Zapp stated "We don't have to do this." Matterhorn said "Sure we do." Zapp said Then she pulled out her sonic gun and blasted a sonic sound wave at her which pushed Matter-Horn back and gave her a bloody nose. Matter-Horn wiped the blood away and flew up to Zapp grabbed the gun out of her hooves and crushed it and pushed her against the beacon. "Zapp be reasonable, you know what my orders are." Matter-horn said with her hooves out "Your orders?" Zapp said as she detached a piece from her belt and plugged it into the output of the beacon Zapp then stood up and when she reached out to shake her hooves she activated an electric activation on her hooves gauntlet and shocked her hooves which resulted in Matter-Horn screamed in pain and then reached up to grab her face and shocked her entire body. "You say that you answer to some sort of authority, they only want me dead because I'm an embarrassment." Zapp said "Because I do what they can't, what kind of authority is that." Matter-Horn than used her laser spell from her horn to destroy the cable connecting to the outlet and was about to punch her when she stopped it with one of her arms. Matter horn was shocked at this and said "How." "A genius never reveals her secret." Zapp said Zapp then grabbed her arm and swung her into the side of the building across the roof. Matter-Horn quickly recovered and flew to where Zapp was landed behind her and punched her into another building and said to her "It doesn't matter it's their world and they won't stand for you anymore." Matter-Horn said "If isn't me, it'll just be somepony else." "Really?" Zapp asked "Who do they send after you?" Just than Zapp activated her sort ranged boosters and charged at her, which she ducked she stopped behind her and using her strength-enhancing horseshoes she punched her into the beacon which exploded into a fiery blaze., But matter-Horn walked out of it with an angry expression on her face. Matter-horn than grabbed Zapp an flew her into a building and when they came out of the other side she threw her onto another roof. When Matter-Horn landed besides Zapp she said "Zapp, this is idiotic." When Zapp tried to get up she was pushed down again by Matter-Horn who again said "I'm begging you. For your own safety, PLEASE stay down." As Matter-Horn tried to get up Zapp threw a super-super-glue bomb at her which pinned her to the wall and unable to move "You're beginning to get the idea, this is the end for you." Zapp said Just than Matter-Horn broke free of the glue before saying "This has to stop now." Than Matter -Horn punched her with all her might and Zapp landed holding her stomach "That was three ribs." Matter-Horn said As Zapp got up still holding her stomach she heard her say "Don't make me do this." "Still talking." Zapp said "Keep talking, Matter-Horn you've always known just what to say. "Yes" you always say yes to anypony with a badge or a flag." Just than Zapp took out her grande launcher loaded up the container with the purple crystal dust and shot it at her, which she caught, but that activated the automatic release which sprayed the purple dust at her causing her to weakened "What's happening." Matter-Horn asked "What's happening is that your feeling it now aren't you, what the rest of us live with everyday, your own mortality." Zapp said With Matter-Horn laying on the ground beaten and weakened Zapp realized this was the only chance she had to make her know to stay out of her way.She grabbed Matter-Horn by the collar of her suit at that point she opened her eyes to Zapp staring at her which she stared back and then what Zapp said next shocks her "I want you to remember,Twilight in all the years to come in all of your most private moments I want you to remember my hoof at your throat I want you to remember the one mare who beat you." Zapp released her grip on her and took off the chest piece of her armor revealing her wings which she used to fly away. As Matter-Horn entered her office she asked "Why did you want me here." "I heard abut your battle with Zapp and how you lost to her." Matter-Horn said nothing as Starlight continued "You know I was the one who gave Zapp the crystal she needed to weaken you." "What, why!" "Because I dislike you Matter-Horn, oh and one more thing, I've also taken the liberty of kidnapping your coltfriend Flash Sentry." Starlight said "You what!" Matter-Horn said angrily "He will be return to you if you swear your loyalty to me." Starlight said "I don't make deals with criminals." Matter-Horn said "I control everything in Canterlot, Matter-horn, your cooperation is not really necessary." Starlight said "You will never control me Glimmer." Matter-Horn said "Zapp was right." Matter horn said "About?" Starlight asked "That the government only wants to control me to turn me into a weapon, she was trying to warn me, but I didn't listen and now I know the truth."Matter-Horn said "I am only going to say this once join me or die."Starlight said "Your not strongest enough to beat me, now if you excuse me I have somepony I need to apologize to." Matter-Horn said as she walked out the door "I might be able to beat you,but I know someone who can." she said smiling evilly "Apple Bloom It's time to take a ride to my laboratory." "Yes, Miss Glimmer." Apple Bloom said As they arrived at the lab she order her men to bring her the highly dangerous unstable Chemical X and she also asked them to bring her Subject Z As the soldiers brought her the body bag she unzipped it reveling the body of Lord Triek "It's time to make Matter-Horn bow before me." she said As they set the body up on the table Starlight grabbed a syringe and poked it though the bag of the unstable chemical and then she took the syringe and injected into the body and immediately after the body began to move and mutate right in front of them His horns began to grow, he began to grow muscles and get bigger and bigger with in every second he finished growing and he broke out of his restraints and approached Starlight who had a smile on her face "WHO AM I." he said "Your name was originally Lord Tirek,but now that your bigger and stronger than you were once was I think it's time for a new name." Starlight said "OKAY SO WHAT"S MY NAME?" he asked "Your name is....." she stopped trying to think of a name to give him and than finally she got it "Your name is Apocalypse." "APOCALYPSE?" he said thinking for a moment "I LIKE IT." he said "WHO ARE YOU." he asked "I am Starlight Glimmer I created you." she said "WHY DID YOU CREATE ME?" he asked "To destroy a being who wishes harm on me." she said as she pulled out a picture of Matter-Horn "Matter-Horn." "MATTER-HORN." he said taking the picture out of her hooves and looked at it suddenly getting angry Starlight saw what was going on and asked "So do you remember her?" "YES I DO, SHE KILLED ME." he said angrily "So will you destroy her?" she asked "YES, I WILL." he said As Zapp was monitoring crime activity in Ponyville she suddenly heard "So do you normally do this." the voice asked She turned around facing Matter-Horn she quickly got into her battle stance "I not here to fight you, I'm here to apologize." Matter-Horn said "What for?" Zapp asked "You were right they only were using me for my power and no the one I love is in trouble so I'm here to ask you for your help." Matter-Horn said Zapp hesitated at first, but than looked up into her eyes and saw the eyes of somepony who is pure of heart and said "Fine, I'll help you." "Now who took him." Zapp asked "Starlight Glimmer." Matter-Horn Finished Zapp and Matter-Horn set off for Starlight Corps's lab not noticing the hood pony that is following them. Chapter 18 The Final Battle Part 1As Zapp and Matter-Horn made their way to Starlight Corps labs they saw that there was nopony guarding the front door so they walked in and see Flash Sentry tied up with tape on his mouth they manage to untie him and Flash said "You shouldn't have come." "Why?" Matter-Horn asked "BECAUSE OF ME, THAT WHY." a voice spoke from behind them They turned around and saw a 10 foot red centaur blocking their escape root and that's Matter-Horn got a better look at the centaur "Tirek?" Matter-Horn said "NOT ANYMORE NOW I'M APOCALYPSE!" he said "AND YOU TWO ARE GOING KNOW WHERE." Just than Zapp threw a smoke bomb on the floor and them along with flash made their escape outside of the building As they escape Matter-Horn told Flash to run to safety which he did "NOOOOOOOO!" he screamed as he jumped intro the wall of the building crashing out of the building behind the heroes He began to charge up his horn blast at which point Zapp said "Oh Sh-." she didn't have time to complete her senxce and covered her face weith her hooves as he blasted all of the buildings around them with his laser. "MATTER-HORN I'M HERE TO KILL YOU IS THIS A BAD TIME!" he said As he approached the heroes a hooded pony approach him and threw what looked like metal horseshoes at him which knocked him back, but not before he grabbed the hood and pulled it off the pony revealing a mare "Is she with you?" Matter-Horn asked Zapp "I thought she was with you." Zapp said to Matter-Horn "Hello." the mare said "I'm Mistress Mare-velous, nice to meet you." "I'm Zapp." she introduced herself "I'm Matter-Horn." And then the turned to Apocalypse who got back up and said "I'M GOING TO DESTROY YOU ALL!" he said "Lets finish this." Zapp said She used her grenade launcher and fired multiple grenades at him which is she thought is hurting him, but he came right out of the dust with no scratches on him "MY SKIN CAN WITHSTAND A NUCLEAR EXPLOSION." he said He charged up his fiery blast and shot it at Zapp, which she manage to doge. "MY BONES ARE...." He wasn't able to finish his sentence as he was knocked back by Matter-Horn who than used he laser beam from her horn to attack him. "I REMEMBER." he said "THAT HORN." As he stepped forward he was suddenly tied up with a rope by Mistress Mare-velous "Your not going anywhere." she said But that didn't hold him for long he manage to break out of the grip on him and when he did he grabbed the rope and fling her into Zapp leaving them both unconscious. "It's just you and me Apocalypse." Matter-Horn said "NO IT'S JUST ME MATTER-HORN." he said "At the end of this day." she said "One shall stand, One shall fall." "WHY THROW AWAY YOU LIFE SO RECKLESSLY." he said "Because maybe I have somethings worth dying for." "Like the life of everypony on this planet." She ignored all the protest as she walked inside the senate building and walked towards the doors to the room where her future will be decided. Two ponies opened the doors for her and she walked inside and as she stand before the senate she heard. "Today...is a day for truth." Mayor Mare said. "The world needs to know what happened and to know what she stands for that kind of power is very dangerous." she continued. "Let the record show that this committee holds her responsible." "Mrs. Matter-Horn you may give you argument now." she concluded. "Thank you Mayor." Matter Horn Started. "Ponies of Canterlot I understand your feelings of this after Lord Teirk and his army nearly destroyed the city I urge you to please listen to what I have to say, for too long this world has been affected by evil and corruption I promise with your permission I will protected this world and everypony on it from any harm that may come our way, thank you." she concluded. "Well the lie is that power can be innocent." she said. "I proposed that as long as Matter-Horn is willing to protect us and is also willing to follow our rules that she should be aloud to be our hero we need." Starlight said. "Is that true." Mayor Mare Said "Will you be able to follow our rules?" "Yes, I will." Matter-Horn said. "Then I hereby pardon Matter-Horn from all devastation she had caused during her fight with Tirek, all in favor say I." Mayor Mare Concluded. "I." the rest of the senate said. With that Matter-Horn was pardon of the destruction and is able to help ponies as long as she follows the rules the senate gave her. Chapter 3 Identity Chapter 3 Identity Twilight Sparkle alter ego of Matter-Horn was working for the Daily Pegasus and she was at her desk when she read the headline of yesterday's paper: "Zapp Brand of Justice!" "What this?" Twilight asked the number one reporter Flash Sentry. "A thief was capture last night in Ponyville by what ponies have been describing as a Zapp vigilant." Flash said. Just than the head of the office Fancypants walked into the room. "So I see you are reading our paper it has attracted such a fuss by the ponies of Canterlot while the ponies of Ponyville see her as some sort of hero." "This Zapp vigilante, she's like a one mare reign of terror." Twilight said. "You don't get to decide what the right thing is!" Fancypants said. "Nopony cares about Twilight Sparkle taking on Zapp." Twilight Sparkle may not be able to take her on, but Matter-Horn will Twilight thought. "Well I best be going I have a meeting with Matter-Horn in an hour."Flash said. "Don't you mean date?" Somepony joked Flash blushed at that and then simply said "Yes." As mayor Mare enter the room she saw Starlight Glimmer admiring a painting of some kind and not wanting to be rude said "Excuse me Miss Glimmer, but I heard you wanted to talk to me." Starlight said "Why, you already made your case about her to the senate." Meanwhile Twilight Sparkle and Spike, another reporter from the Daily Pegasus, are there covering the whole thing. "So Twilight are you ready to interview all these celebrities that will be here" Spike said "Yes I'm ready." Twilight said As they were talking a car pulled up and out stepped a Pegasus mare with rainbow colored main attracting the attention of Twilight. "Who that?" Twilight asked "You must be new, that is Rainbow Dash, CEO of Dash Enterprise in Ponyville." Spike said "Ponyville mmm, maybe I should ask her questions about Zapp." Twilight thought to herself As Rainbow Dash entered the party she was suddenly stopped by a unicorn(her wings are hidden under her clothes) with a purple main "Miss Dash, Twilight Sparkle Daily Pegasus, what's your position on the Zapp vigilante in Ponyville?" the mare asked When she heard this all Rainbow could do was smirk at the question "Sure." Rainbow replied "What do you want to know about our little hero in our city." "Hero?" Twilight said "I really wouldn't call her a hero, she a vigilante." "Then what do you think of her." Rainbow asked "I think civil liberties are being trampled on in your city people living in fear, she thinks he's above the law." Twilight said "The Daily Pegasus criticizing those who think they're above the law is a little hypocritical, wouldn't you say?" Rainbow said "Considering every time your hero saves a cat out of a tree, you write a puff piece editorial about an alien that could burn the whole place down." As the two started at each other they where interrupted by another pony "Girls!" A mare with a purple main and blue highlights said "Mmm Rainbow Dash meets Twilight Sparkle, Ha I love it, I love bringing people together how are we?" The mare stepped forward and shook Rainbow Dash hooves which she shook back "Hi, hello." the mare said "Starlight." Rainbow said Then she went over and shook Twilight hooves "Starlight it is a pleasure." As she shook her hooves Starlight notice she was rather strong for a unicorn mare "Ow wow, that is a good grip you should not pick a fight with this pony." she said to the both of them "So how are two enjoying the party." Starilght said "It's gets better and better every year." Rainbow said "This is my first time at a gathering like this." Twilight said "Well I hope you enjoy your first time here." Starlight said as she walked away "Well Miss Dash sorry for taking up your time maybe we might meet again someday." twilight said shaking Rainbow's hooves one more time "Yeah maybe we will" Rainbow said smiling As the two walked off into separate direction they had no idea they will meet again, but not as they expected Chapter 9 Encounter Part 2AS Matter-Horn started to land Zapp started to taunt her "Well,well, well look what we have here the pony who almost destroyed all of Equestria." "I didn't do anything it was all Tirek's." Matter-Horn said Sure, anyway why are you here in my territory don't you already protect Canterlot." Zapp said "I'm here because I want to talk." Matter-Horn said "About what?" asked Zapp "You your scaring to many ponies and I'm here to ask nicely to stop what your doing." Matter-Horn said "I will say this about you at the very least; you ARE punctual." Zapp said "I make it a point to always try VERY hard to NOT be tardy." Matter horn said When she said this Zapp notice that she started shivering with a noticeable eye twitch "I read A LOT about you, Miss Zapp." she said "Normally, I consider that much reading to be a little too eggheadish for my taste, but I still get that going into a fight with a being as powerful as you unprepared would NOT be cool; just stupid." Zapp said "Look, I would rather talk this out first BEFORE it comes down to violence." Matter-Horn said "You think I'm stupid enough to fall for THAT? Somepony like you is WAY too powerful to allow to go unchecked. And this is not the first time I've fought a god. As a matter of fact, my ARCH-ENEMY is a hopelessly insane mass murderer with high level reality warping powers. (beat) That sounds a lot cooler than it actually IS." Zapp said "Fine, you want be like that I guess I hvae no other choice." "What choice?" Zapp asked "That as of this moment the next time they shine your light in the sky, don't go to it." She didn't know what to say so she took off flying into the night sky. As Zapp looked up into the sky she said something that will be not only be a test for her, but for the mare of steel as well "You will!" Starlight said "Ms. Glimmer, Rainbow dash is here to see you." Apple Bloom said "Excellent, send her in." Starlight said Then in walked Rainbow Dash who shook hooves with Starlight "Miss. "Imagine it Black and purple, god vs mare, day vs night!" "The Daughter of BonFaust versus Zapp of Ponyville!" "I don't believe it you're psychotic." Chapter 2 FearLocation: Ponyville. Meanwhile Rainbow Dash owner of Dash Enterprise was coming home after a long meeting with the board of directors. She entered her house (mansion) and turned on the T.V. "Whooves, I'm home." Dash said. "Welcome back Mistress Dash." Whooves said. Dash sat down on the couch and watch the annoucment made about Matter-Horn. "Matter-Horn has been pardon for any damage she caused during her battle with Lord Tirek." the news mare said "And she will now be free to help or save any ponies in danger as long as she follows our rules, in other news..." When she heard that she stood up in surprised. "WHAT!" She screamed "Why are they pardoning her, it's her fault my company building got destroyed!" "Mistress Dash please calm down." Whooves said. "Calm down, how can I calm down when an alien who killed thousands of ponies was just let go!" Dash said. "There nothing you can do about it, so why do you sit down and have a nice cup of tea." Whooves said. "Rainbow Dash may not be able to stop him, but I know somepony who can." she said. Rainbow ran to the statue near the grandfather clock and lifted the statue head up reveling a button she pressed the button and a secret door opened with stairs leading to somewhere. She walked down the stairs with Doctor Whooves following. She entered a large cave with a lot of gizmos and gadgets all around. She then walked pasted a glass case with a suit displayed with graffiti on it that said "Ha-Ha Jokes on you Zapp." She then head to a cylinder looking door placed her hoof on the hoof scanner and the door opened revealing the costume of Zapp on display. "You can't be serious mistress, you gave up that life after you lost Scootaloo to Discord." Whooves Said. "Well maybe this Matter-Horn needs to know that it's not okay to come to our world and get away with murder!" Dash said angrily. "So what are you going to do?" Whooves said. "Teach her a lesson!" Dash said. " You mean you're gonna to go to war?" Whooves asked. "She the one that brought the war to us." Dash said. "Count the dead, thousands of ponies." "She was saving our world!" Whooves said. "What's next?" Dash asked. "Millions?' "Why?" Whooves asked. "Because twenty years in Ponyville how many good ponies are left?" she asked. "How many stayed that way?" As Rainbow Dash walked towards her costume she heard Whooves said. "That's how it starts." "What do you mean?" Dash asked. "The fever, the rage, the feeling of powerlessness that turns good ponies cruel." Whooves finished. "She has the power to wipe out the entire pony race and if we believe there's even a 1% chance that she is our enemy we have to take it as a absolute certainty that we have to destroy her!" Dash angrily said. "She is not our enemy!" Whooves said. "She became our enemy when she came to our world." Dash said. As Rainbow Dash was getting her suit on she heard Whooves say "You know you can't win this, it's suicide." After hearing this she started to think that what if she wasn't strong enough to beat her so she repiled "I know."
Attention Attention The support on this story has been incredible, but sadly starting tomorrow I will be out of town for about two to three weeks and I won't be able to update this story, but I promise when I get Back I Will Publish two 1000 words chapters one on Starlight Glimmer and her Plans to pit Zapp against Matter horn and the other will focus on Zapp and Matter_Horn meeting for the first time. Chapter 5 HopeMatter-Horn was flying across Canterlot to meet with her coltfriend Flash Sentry she though about what all those ponies said at the senate "Am I really that dangerous that ponies are afraid of me." Matter-Horn thought As she land on top of the AMC apartment building she was greeted by Flash with a kiss. As they separated Flash said "So is it really true that your going to obey everything the government going to tell you." Flash said concerned "I have to, its the only why to earn the ponies trust." Matter-Horn said "No its not doing the right thing doesn't mean obeying every law they have you to follow." he said "Can I tell you something?" she asked "Sure, you know you can always tell me anything." he said "All this time during the campaign Matter-Horn was never real to them." she said Seeing Matter-Horn looking said he reached up and touch her symbol on her chest and said "This means something, it's all some ponies have and it's all that gives them hope." Chapter 7 HomeAfter the party Twilight decided to visit her mother figure Princess Celestia(Who the only othe pony beside her mother who knows she's Matter-Horn) for advice about what to do next. "I'm not sure what to do" Twilight asked "Ponies are still afraid of me why is that." "Well, Twilight ponies hate what they don't understand." Celestia said "What I am supposed to do to get these ponies to believe in me again." Twilight said "Well you already know the answer to that." Celestia said "Be their hero,Twilight, be their angel, be their monument, be anything they need you to be or be none of it." "You don't owe this world a thing, you never did." Twilight then sat there thinking about what she said among other things when she heard Celestia ask "Twilight are you okay?" "I'm fine princess." Twilight lied "Twilight, I've known you since early foalhood. I've helped Night Light and Twilight Velvet raise you. I've helped you learn to control your powers when they first started surfacing. I can tell when you have something important on your mind." Celestia said "How did YOU do it, your Highness?" Twilight asked "Excuse me?" Celestia said "How did you earn the trust and respect of most of the general public? I mean, you're literally powerful enough to single-hoofedly move a cosmic mass MUCH larger than a planet on a twice a day basis, and ponies don't fear you." Twilight said "They used to, Twilight. It took several years, but through hard work, determination and frequent displays of compassion, charity and optimism, I was able to turn things around." Celestia said "In other words, you're saying don't give up, no matter how bad the situation might get. If I stick with it, things will eventually change for the better." Twilight said "Indeed. But be forewarned; while most laws ARE generally common sense and intended for the greater good, there ARE certain overly obstructive bureaucrats who won't hesitate to bend the law as much as possible without actually breaking it all in the interest of serving their own egos." Celestia said "So, don't go breaking the law without a very, VERY good reason, but don't get so caught up in the letter of the law that I forget about the spirit of the law. And while I shouldn't let bad laws get in the way of helping good sentiments, I should also only strike against certain beings if I have solid proof they are doing something really bad." Twilight said "Again, correct." Celestia said "Then I know what I must do." Twilight said "And that is?" Celestia asked "I'm going to go to Ponyville and face this Zapp and tell her that what she is doing is wrong." Twilight said "Are you sure?" Celestia asked "Yes." Chapter 8 Encounter Part 1 Chapter 8 Encounter Part 1 Zapp was on a top of a roof spying on a building with reported gang activity going on inside. "Mistress Dash are you sure about this, you haven't fought in years." Whooves said though her ear piece "These gangs have been terrorizing Ponyville for months, I think its time to teach them to be feared." Dash said As she was preparing for the battle ahead she felt that she was being watch, but ignored it "It's time." Dash said She jumped from the roof and crashed through the glass on the other building and one of the gang members looked up,but it was to late Zapp landed on him knocking him unconscious immediately, causing the attention of everypony in the warehouse. "Alright we can do this the easy way or the hard way." Dash said through her voice modifier in her cowl The gang members all pointed their weapons at her "Alright the hard way it is." she said Just then she though a smoke bomb on the floor causing the entire place to be covered in smoke "Where she go!" one gang member asked "I can't see anything!" another said as they were both taken out by her "There she is!" the gang leader said They opened fire at her as she was taken them out one by one. "Is that the best you got." Dash said as she threw one of the bad guys against the wall breaking it as he hit it "Retreat!" the gang leader said They all scattered as she ignored them she chased the leader, until he tripped and she tackled him onto the ground. Just then the police arrived "Come on." one unicorn officer said I'm coming hold your horn." the Pegasus officer said As they came upon the scene they shine their flashlights over to where Zapp has the gang leader pin. They watched helplessly as she used one of her Zapparang and stabbed it into his leg as he screamed in pain. Both of the officers raised their tasers up at her "Hold it right there you just crippled that pony." the unicorn officer said Zapp responded still in her disguised voice "He's young he'll walk again, but you'll stay scared won't you punk." The gang leader said nothing as Zapp got up and before the officers can say anything she flew away as fast as sound "What was that." one officer said "That rookie was a savior." the Pegasus officer said As more police arrived taken the wounded stallions to jail as Zapp watched hidden in the shadows. She stayed their until they have gone and came out of hiding "I'm not young as I used to be." Dash said to herself "That was quite a show." a voice out of know where came "Who there?" dash asked as she looked around as she was in her battle stance "Who aid that?" "I did." the voice said again Dash looked up and saw somepony she was not expected to see........ MATTER-HORN TO BE CONTINUED! Author's Note I'm sorry I'm not that good at writing action scenes, but I promise when they finally face off I will do the best I can in writing an action scene So any adivce on how to do it will be accepted
Chapter 10 Nightmare Chapter 10 Nightmare As Rainbow dash was asleep in her bed she started to dream of what the world would become if Matter-Horn would take over As she was trekking along in the baron wasteland in her suit she thought about ho things got so bad. Matter-Horn betrayed the government assassinated Princess Celestia and caused Equestria to have a war with all of the other countries that surrounded it causing in a nuclear Apocalypse. AS she came over the mountain of sand and dust she saw a wired looking symbol carved into the earth: a crescent moon . She thought none of it as she continued onward towards her destination which is unknown. "How could I let this come to it." Zapp said "I should've taken her out all those years ago." Sudden out of nowhere ponies in black suits ambushed her. She fought them as theywere trying to hold her down. Then she notice Matter-Horn logo on their suits. As they continued fighting something caught their attention swarms of insects like creatures started to attack them. Zapp notice this was the chance to escape, but before she could do so she was hit on the head and was knocked out. When she came true she found herself tied up in a strange room were ten other ponies who were also tied up as well "Where am I!" Zapp screamed which one of the solider notice "Quiet!" he said "You are going to be judged!" Just then Matter-Horn came crashing in the room which is when the solders keeled down before her. AS she got close to Zapp she said "Finally after all this time i finally caught you." Matter Horn said Just then Matter-Horn reached for Zapp masked and ripped it right off her which underneath reviled a very angry Rainbow Dash. As she threw the mask on the ground Rainbow said angrily "YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS!" Matter horn smiled at this comment and said calmly "Oh I already have." Rainbow noticed Matter-Horn started to glow and then before she knew it she woke up "NO!" Rainbow screamed as she awoke That when Doctor Whooves opened the door and came in with a worried face "Mistress Dash are you okay." Whooves responded "No I'm not okay I had a nightmare where Matter-Horn caused the destuction of the world." "It was only a dream." Whooves said "Maybe or maybe its a sign that I need to take her down once and for all."
Chapter 12 Preperation Chapter 12 Preperation Rainbow Dash was in her cave building her suit she will use against Matter-Horn when Whooves came up to her and asked "What are you doing?" "Building my exo suit I will be using on Matter-Horn." Rainbow said "You're not even fully recovered from your last battle." Whooves said "Well I will just have to improvise...a lot." Rainbow said "Speak of did you get what I ask you to get?" "Yes, I did." Whooves said as he handed Rainbow a container "What are you going to use this for." "Well, when I was at the scene of the battle of Canterlot I saw a tiny purple glow rock affecting her powers making her weak as she battle the invaders, which is what I will use on her when I attack her." "Speaking of which the Daily Peagus published a article on the meteting between you and Matter-Horn." "What!?" Rainbow said as she grabbed the newspaper from Whooves "Article by Twilight Sparkle." "The same reporter who question you on Zapp affect on Ponyville." "Yes that is very curious." "It is Mistress." "Whooves." Rainbow said "Yes, Rainbow." Whooves said "What if Twilight Sparkle is Matter-Horn!" Rainbow said "Well the similarities are some what identical." Whooves said "No...it is not, Twilight Sparkle is definitely Matter-Horn I'm sure of it." Rainbow said "Well, if you are sure of it then you better face her and see if it is true." Whooves said "Maybe, I will." Rainbow said as she walked away Meanwhile at the Daily Pegasus "Twilight I need those financial reports now." one pony said "Yes of course." Twilight said as she fixing her glasses "Twilight." Fancy Pants said "Yes, sir." she said "Rainbow Dash wishes to speak with you." Fancy Pants said "Really?" Twilight said "Yes, but she asked to talk to you in our private soundproof interview room." "Oh,ok." Twilight Said As Twilight walked in the room she faced Rainbow Dash who had a very angry look on her face "Hello, Mistress Dash, why do you have that look on your face." Twilight said "Well Twilight or should I say Matter-Horn!" Rainbow said "How did you know." Twilight said shocked in the fact that she found her out "It took a while,but I compered notes and ta-da identity." Twilight was shocked at first and then just smiled and said "Well if you knew that then you must be be Zapp." Twilight said "Am I wrong." "No, your not." Rainbow said "Why?" Twilight said "Because I am here to tell you that in two days you and me are going to settle this on top of the roof where we meet last time." Rainbow said "And, where was that?" Twilight asked "Crime Ally." Rainbow said "I'll be there." Twilight said "You better!" Rainbow said as h\she walked towards the door "And one more thing..... I know about what you did to Zod, you snapped his neck and if you think just for a second that you can gain power by assassinate the president or other government officials with a snapped of a second with your unstoppable powers." "I would do no such thing." Twilight said "You could!" Rainbow said "I will stop you." Twilight said "Not if I stop you first."Rainbow said Twilight gave her a very dark look as rainbow slammed the door behind her leaving Rainbow in the room alone
Chapter 14 The Calm Before the StormRainbow Das was doing pull ups on her bar when Whooves came in and told her "Mistress Dash, it's time." "I know." Rainbow said as she was drying herself off She begin to put the exo suit on piece by piece "You know when you put the chest piece on you won't be able to fly." Whooves said "I know, which is why I installed sort range boosters on my hooves piece." Rainbow said She finished putting her suit on and told Whooves "It's time to test this suit on, Whooves aim that laser gun, which will simulate Matter-Horn blasts." Whooves began to aim the laser at Zapp and fired which Zapp suit's manage to withstand "Whooves did you make the two weapons I asked for." she asked "Yes madame, your sonic disruption gun and grande launcher with one of the containers contains the dust of the purple crystail you found, is ready." he said "Good." she said as she placed them on her back As Zapp was walking to her door to prepare for her battle with Matter-Horn she turned around and told Whooves "Just in case if I don't survive this, I want you to know you were the best butler anypony could ever have and I thank you for your years of service to me." Then she hugged him and walked away towards the door "Goodbye, Misstress Dash." he said with a sad voice Author's Note Next Chapter: THE BATTLE BEGINS
Chapter 15 Face Off Part 1It started to rain as Zapp was setting up her beacon and flipped the switch on the beacon which light up the sky with her symobol. As she looked up in the sky and saw Matter-Horn flying in the sky and saw her dive really fast and slammed into the ground. They started to walk tworads each other and starting at each other in the eyes. That's when Matter-Horn broke the silance "Given your background and profile, I expected you to be paranoid enough to try to strike at me first, even if I tried reason first. Still, I had to at least try reason. I don't particularly mind you trying to attack ME, but I would prefer you didn't use attacks that pose a sizable risk to innocent sentient." "You know me so well." Zapp stated "We don't have to do this." Matterhorn said "Sure we do." Zapp said Then she pulled out her sonic gun and blasted a sonic sound wave at her which pushed Matter-Horn back and gave her a bloody nose. Matter-Horn wiped the blood away and flew up to Zapp grabbed the gun out of her hooves and crushed it and pushed her against the beacon. "Zapp be reasonable, you know what my orders are." Matter-horn said with her hooves out "Your orders?" Zapp said as she detached a piece from her belt and plugged it into the output of the beacon Zapp then stood up and when she reached out to shake her hooves she activated an electric activation on her hooves gauntlet and shocked her hooves which resulted in Matter-Horn screamed in pain and then reached up to grab her face and shocked her entire body. "You say that you answer to some sort of authority, they only want me dead because I'm an embarrassment." Zapp said "Because I do what they can't, what kind of authority is that." Matter-Horn than used her laser spell from her horn to destroy the cable connecting to the outlet and was about to punch her when she stopped it with one of her arms. Matter horn was shocked at this and said "How." "A genius never reveals her secret." Zapp said Zapp then grabbed her arm and swung her into the side of the building across the roof. Matter-Horn quickly recovered and flew to where Zapp was landed behind her and punched her into another building and said to her "It doesn't matter it's their world and they won't stand for you anymore." Matter-Horn said "If isn't me, it'll just be somepony else." "Really?" Zapp asked "Who do they send after you?" Just than Zapp activated her sort ranged boosters and charged at her, which she ducked she stopped behind her and using her strength-enhancing horseshoes she punched her into the beacon which exploded into a fiery blaze., But matter-Horn walked out of it with an angry expression on her face. Matter-horn than grabbed Zapp an flew her into a building and when they came out of the other side she threw her onto another roof. When Matter-Horn landed besides Zapp she said "Zapp, this is idiotic." When Zapp tried to get up she was pushed down again by Matter-Horn who again said "I'm begging you. Chapter 16 Face Off Part 2With Zapp laying on the top of the roof and with Matter-Horn getting closer she than activated her spin attack(which act like a tornado) and got up and hit her with it which she goes flying into a wall. As Matter-Horn tried to get up Zapp threw a super-super-glue bomb at her which pinned her to the wall and unable to move "You're beginning to get the idea, this is the end for you." Zapp said Just than Matter-Horn broke free of the glue before saying "This has to stop now." Than Matter -Horn punched her with all her might and Zapp landed holding her stomach "That was three ribs." Matter-Horn said As Zapp got up still holding her stomach she heard her say "Don't make me do this." "Still talking." Zapp said "Keep talking, Matter-Horn you've always known just what to say. "Yes" you always say yes to anypony with a badge or a flag." Just than Zapp took out her grande launcher loaded up the container with the purple crystal dust and shot it at her, which she caught, but that activated the automatic release which sprayed the purple dust at her causing her to weakened "What's happening." Matter-Horn asked "What's happening is that your feeling it now aren't you, what the rest of us live with everyday, your own mortality." Zapp said With Matter-Horn laying on the ground beaten and weakened Zapp realized this was the only chance she had to make her know to stay out of her way.She grabbed Matter-Horn by the collar of her suit at that point she opened her eyes to Zapp staring at her which she stared back and then what Zapp said next shocks her "I want you to remember,Twilight in all the years to come in all of your most private moments I want you to remember my hoof at your throat I want you to remember the one mare who beat you." Zapp released her grip on her and took off the chest piece of her armor revealing her wings which she used to fly away. Chapter 17 Secrets Reveal Chapter 17 Secrets Reveal A couples of hours after the battle Matter-Horn was fully recovered and back at full strength, when she got a message to come and see Starlight Glimmer about something big going on. As Matter-Horn entered her office she asked "Why did you want me here." "I heard abut your battle with Zapp and how you lost to her." Matter-Horn said nothing as Starlight continued "You know I was the one who gave Zapp the crystal she needed to weaken you." "What, why!" "Because I dislike you Matter-Horn, oh and one more thing, I've also taken the liberty of kidnapping your coltfriend Flash Sentry." Starlight said "You what!" Matter-Horn said angrily "He will be return to you if you swear your loyalty to me." Starlight said "I don't make deals with criminals." Matter-Horn said "I control everything in Canterlot, Matter-horn, your cooperation is not really necessary." Starlight said "You will never control me Glimmer." Matter-Horn said "Zapp was right." Matter horn said "About?" Starlight asked "That the government only wants to control me to turn me into a weapon, she was trying to warn me, but I didn't listen and now I know the truth."Matter-Horn said "I am only going to say this once join me or die."Starlight said "Your not strongest enough to beat me, now if you excuse me I have somepony I need to apologize to." Matter-Horn said as she walked out the door "I might be able to beat you,but I know someone who can." she said smiling evilly "Apple Bloom It's time to take a ride to my laboratory." "Yes, Miss Glimmer." Apple Bloom said As they arrived at the lab she order her men to bring her the highly dangerous unstable Chemical X and she also asked them to bring her Subject Z As the soldiers brought her the body bag she unzipped it reveling the body of Lord Triek "It's time to make Matter-Horn bow before me." she said As they set the body up on the table Starlight grabbed a syringe and poked it though the bag of the unstable chemical and then she took the syringe and injected into the body and immediately after the body began to move and mutate right in front of them His horns began to grow, he began to grow muscles and get bigger and bigger with in every second he finished growing and he broke out of his restraints and approached Starlight who had a smile on her face "WHO AM I." he said "Your name was originally Lord Tirek,but now that your bigger and stronger than you were once was I think it's time for a new name." Starlight said "OKAY SO WHAT"S MY NAME?" he asked "Your name is....." she stopped trying to think of a name to give him and than finally she got it "Your name is Apocalypse." "APOCALYPSE?" he said thinking for a moment "I LIKE IT." he said "WHO ARE YOU." he asked "I am Starlight Glimmer I created you." she said "WHY DID YOU CREATE ME?" he asked "To destroy a being who wishes harm on me." she said as she pulled out a picture of Matter-Horn "Matter-Horn." "MATTER-HORN." he said taking the picture out of her hooves and looked at it suddenly getting angry Starlight saw what was going on and asked "So do you remember her?" "YES I DO, SHE KILLED ME." he said angrily "So will you destroy her?" she asked "YES, I WILL." he said As Zapp was monitoring crime activity in Ponyville she suddenly heard "So do you normally do this." the voice asked She turned around facing Matter-Horn she quickly got into her battle stance "I not here to fight you, I'm here to apologize." Matter-Horn said "What for?" Zapp asked "You were right they only were using me for my power and no the one I love is in trouble so I'm here to ask you for your help." Matter-Horn said Zapp hesitated at first, but than looked up into her eyes and saw the eyes of somepony who is pure of heart and said "Fine, I'll help you." "Now who took him." Zapp asked "Starlight Glimmer." Matter-Horn Finished Zapp and Matter-Horn set off for Starlight Corps's lab not noticing the hood pony that is following them.
Chapter 18 The Final Battle Part 1As Zapp and Matter-Horn made their way to Starlight Corps labs they saw that there was nopony guarding the front door so they walked in and see Flash Sentry tied up with tape on his mouth they manage to untie him and Flash said "You shouldn't have come." "Why?" Matter-Horn asked "BECAUSE OF ME, THAT WHY." a voice spoke from behind them They turned around and saw a 10 foot red centaur blocking their escape root and that's Matter-Horn got a better look at the centaur "Tirek?" Matter-Horn said "NOT ANYMORE NOW I'M APOCALYPSE!" he said "AND YOU TWO ARE GOING KNOW WHERE." Just than Zapp threw a smoke bomb on the floor and them along with flash made their escape outside of the building As they escape Matter-Horn told Flash to run to safety which he did "NOOOOOOOO!" he screamed as he jumped intro the wall of the building crashing out of the building behind the heroes He began to charge up his horn blast at which point Zapp said "Oh Sh-." she didn't have time to complete her senxce and covered her face weith her hooves as he blasted all of the buildings around them with his laser. "MATTER-HORN I'M HERE TO KILL YOU IS THIS A BAD TIME!" he said As he approached the heroes a hooded pony approach him and threw what looked like metal horseshoes at him which knocked him back, but not before he grabbed the hood and pulled it off the pony revealing a mare "Is she with you?" Matter-Horn asked Zapp "I thought she was with you." Zapp said to Matter-Horn "Hello." the mare said "I'm Mistress Mare-velous, nice to meet you." "I'm Zapp." she introduced herself "I'm Matter-Horn." And then the turned to Apocalypse who got back up and said "I'M GOING TO DESTROY YOU ALL!" he said "Lets finish this." Matter-Horn started "Together." Zapp finished "Toegther." Mistress Mare-velous joined in Author's Note Tomorrow: Final Battle Part 2 and Credits
Chapter 19 The Final Battle Part 2"HA HA." Apocalypse laughed "HOW COULD YOU THREE POSSIBLE STOP ME." "As a team." Matter Horn said Matter-Horn than flew into him and started to punch him over and over again until he garbed one of her punches and threw her into a building. "YOU THINK THAT COULD HURT ME." he said "No, but I think this can." Zapp said She used her grenade launcher and fired multiple grenades at him which is she thought is hurting him, but he came right out of the dust with no scratches on him "MY SKIN CAN WITHSTAND A NUCLEAR EXPLOSION." he said He charged up his fiery blast and shot it at Zapp, which she manage to doge. "MY BONES ARE...." He wasn't able to finish his sentence as he was knocked back by Matter-Horn who than used he laser beam from her horn to attack him. "I REMEMBER." he said "THAT HORN." As he stepped forward he was suddenly tied up with a rope by Mistress Mare-velous "Your not going anywhere." she said But that didn't hold him for long he manage to break out of the grip on him and when he did he grabbed the rope and fling her into Zapp leaving them both unconscious. "It's just you and me Apocalypse." Matter-Horn said "NO IT'S JUST ME MATTER-HORN." he said "At the end of this day." she said "One shall stand, One shall fall." "WHY THROW AWAY YOU LIFE SO RECKLESSLY." he said "Because maybe I have somethings worth dying for." "Like the life of everypony on this planet." "I'LL CRUSH YOU WITH MY BARE HANDS." he said HE charged at her with a punch that knocked her backwards, but she recovered quickly and charged at him with her laser beam from her horn. After a long and exhausting battle which they manage to mach blow for blow at each other attack. Unfouenatly for Matter-Horn she was grabbed by the throat and held in the air like a trophy "YOU THINK YOU HONESTY COULD STOP ME." he said Matter-Horn than came up with an idea a very deadly idea "I'm sorry." she said "FOR WHAT?" "This." she said Matter-Horn than fired her lasers beam in to his eyes and hitting his brain cutting off his powers and rendering him powerless "WHAT DID YOU DO TO ME." he said as he grew weaker and weaker with every breath he took "I lobotomized you, your powers and strength are gone forever." she said walking away Two Hours Later "So Apocalypse has been taken into a maximum secure prison so he won't be getting out anytime soon." Zapp Said "Starlight Glimmer and her assistance got away." Matter-Horn said "In speak of which why did you help us." Zapp asked Mistress Mare-velous "Because I need you help." she said "That so-and-so Glimmer brainwashed my younger foster sister into helping her." "So what are you going to do?" Matter-Horn asked "I want to save my sister, but I admit I'm going to need help." Mistress Mare-velous said "Well are you up for it." Matter-Horn asked Zapp "Sure with the three of us working together nothing can stop us." "Alright well help you." Matter-Horn said Meanwhile deep beneath the Atlantic Ocean a stallion and mare were talking "Those surface dwellers are dangerous we need to put and end to them at once." the stallion said "No, as long as I'm am Queen you will do nothing, do you understand." the mare said "Yes, Night Gilder, queen of the sea." the stallion said Author's Note FINALLY IT"S FINISHED Sorry for the lack of action it's so hard to write a good action scene One more thing I have switch the dates for Disharmony Squad and Aquamare, so Aquamare will be the next story I will be writing. Chapter 1 SenateLocation: Canterlot. A meeting was being held to discuss the aftermath of the battle of Canterlot and the senates will decide the future of the city. Matter-Horn landed in front of Canterlot court surrounded by protesters. "Go back where you belong!" a protester said. "This is our planet!” another said. She ignored all the protest as she walked inside the senate building and walked towards the doors to the room where her future will be decided. Two ponies opened the doors for her and she walked inside and as she stand before the senate she heard. "Today...is a day for truth." Mayor Mare said. "The world needs to know what happened and to know what she stands for that kind of power is very dangerous." she continued. "Let the record show that this committee holds her responsible." "Mrs. Matter-Horn you may give you argument now." she concluded. "Thank you Mayor." Matter Horn Started. "Ponies of Canterlot I understand your feelings of this after Lord Teirk and his army nearly destroyed the city I urge you to please listen to what I have to say, for too long this world has been affected by evil and corruption I promise with your permission I will protected this world and everypony on it from any harm that may come our way, thank you." she concluded. After she was finished the senate turned into a war zone with ponies arguing left and right about what to do. “Is it really surprising that the most powerful pony in the world should be a figure of controversy?” one Senator said. “We as a population on this planet have been looking for a savior!” another said. “We’re talking’ about a being whose very existence challenges our own sense of priority in the universe.” another argued. "We have a horrible track record of following ponies of great power.” another said. And they kept arguing and arguing. "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely!” "Absolute chaos!” "Maybe she's just a mare trying to do the right thing.” "We know better now, don’t we?” "She’s out of control!” "The world has been so caught up with what she could do, that no one has asked what she should do!" Then the argument stopped as the door in the senate opened and in walked a unicorn mare. "Hello, sorry I'm late I was stuck in a meeting." the mare said. As she approached Matter-Horn she started to shake her hooves. "This is truly an honor to meet the pony that saved the world from destruction!" she said. "Who are you?" Matter-Horn asked. "Oh were are my manners, I'm Starlight Glimmer CEO of Glimmer Corps, nice to finally meet you." Starlight said. "Mrs. Glimmer may I ask what in all of Equestria are you doing here." Mayor Mare asked. "Pardon me for one moment Matter-Horn." Starlight Said. "Do you know the oldest lie in Equestria senators." she continued. "No?" they all said at once. "Well the lie is that power can be innocent." she said. "I proposed that as long as Matter-Horn is willing to protect us and is also willing to follow our rules that she should be aloud to be our hero we need." Starlight said. "Is that true." Mayor Mare Said "Will you be able to follow our rules?" "Yes, I will." Matter-Horn said. "Then I hereby pardon Matter-Horn from all devastation she had caused during her fight with Tirek, all in favor say I." Mayor Mare Concluded. "I." the rest of the senate said. With that Matter-Horn was pardon of the destruction and is able to help ponies as long as she follows the rules the senate gave her.
Chapter 3 Identity Chapter 3 Identity Twilight Sparkle alter ego of Matter-Horn was working for the Daily Pegasus and she was at her desk when she read the headline of yesterday's paper: "Zapp Brand of Justice!" "What this?" Twilight asked the number one reporter Flash Sentry. "A thief was capture last night in Ponyville by what ponies have been describing as a Zapp vigilant." Flash said. Just than the head of the office Fancypants walked into the room. "So I see you are reading our paper it has attracted such a fuss by the ponies of Canterlot while the ponies of Ponyville see her as some sort of hero." "This Zapp vigilante, she's like a one mare reign of terror." Twilight said. "You don't get to decide what the right thing is!" Fancypants said. "Nopony cares about Twilight Sparkle taking on Zapp." Twilight Sparkle may not be able to take her on, but Matter-Horn will Twilight thought. "Well I best be going I have a meeting with Matter-Horn in an hour."Flash said. "Don't you mean date?" Somepony joked Flash blushed at that and then simply said "Yes." "I better get going to I have a report to do." Twilight said "Alright, but both of you be back here in three hours." Fancypants said. "Yes sir." both of them said.
Chapter 4 TruthAs Mare Mayor walked out of the senate building to walk home she was suddenly stopped by a mare next to a limo "Miss Mayor Miss Glimmer wishes to speak with you, so please hop in and I will take you to her." the mare said Mayor Mare cooperated and got into the limo. "What's your name miss?" Mayor Mare asked "Name's Apple Bloom personal assistance to Miss Glimmer." the mare said After a two hour drive they finally arrived at Starlight Corps (Starlight Glimmer business) She got out of the car and followed the mare into the building until they came upon Starlight's penthouse and the secretary at the front desk said "Miss Glimmer will see you now." As mayor Mare enter the room she saw Starlight Glimmer admiring a painting of some kind and not wanting to be rude said "Excuse me Miss Glimmer, but I heard you wanted to talk to me." Starlight turned around smiling "Miss Mayor I am so happy you were able to see me." "Well I'm here what do you want?" Mayor Mare asked "I asked you here because I want to talk about Matter-Horn." Starlight said "Why, you already made your case about her to the senate." Mayor Mare said "T hat was a clever cover story the really reason I defend her is because she to dangerous to be let go freely she has to be put on a leash and obey her masters." Starlight said "Who will be the ones controlling her?" Mayor Mare asked "Why the government of course and I will be overseeing it all." Starlight said "Why do you want to oversee it." Mayor Mare asked "Because, do you remember back at the senate when I asked you what was the oldest lie in Equestria was and I said that power can be innocent." Starlight said "Yes?" Mayor mare said confused "Well that was a lie, the truth is that the oldest lie in Equestria is that devils don't come from hell beneath us, they come from the sky." Starlight said proudly "Why?' Mayor Mare asked "Why what?" Starlight responded "Why go through all this trouble defend Matter-Horn when your just going to use her?" Mayor Mare asked "In order for me to tell you that I must answer your question with another question." Starlight said "Go on." Mayor Mare said "Look around you what do you see, I see a world that is corrupted from the inside, but when the Mare of Steel showed up they saw her as some kind of god sent down from the heavens to help us and save us , but here the something to think about which one is really corrupt the government or the alien that can make the whole world summit to her in a snap of a second." Mayor mare was speechless "Apple Bloom please escort Miss Mayor back to the limo." Starlight said "Yes, ma'am." "Please think about what I said senator." Starlight said as the doors closed
Chapter 6 Meeting"Hello everypony I am here reporting live at the Great Galloping Gala where many celeprites are here cwelibatring, more on this later." Meanwhile Twilight Sparkle and Spike, another reporter from the Daily Pegasus, are there covering the whole thing. "So Twilight are you ready to interview all these celebrities that will be here" Spike said "Yes I'm ready." Twilight said As they were talking a car pulled up and out stepped a Pegasus mare with rainbow colored main attracting the attention of Twilight. "Who that?" Twilight asked "You must be new, that is Rainbow Dash, CEO of Dash Enterprise in Ponyville." Spike said "Ponyville mmm, maybe I should ask her questions about Zapp." Twilight thought to herself As Rainbow Dash entered the party she was suddenly stopped by a unicorn(her wings are hidden under her clothes) with a purple main "Miss Dash, Twilight Sparkle Daily Pegasus, what's your position on the Zapp vigilante in Ponyville?" the mare asked When she heard this all Rainbow could do was smirk at the question "Sure." Rainbow replied "What do you want to know about our little hero in our city." "Hero?" Twilight said "I really wouldn't call her a hero, she a vigilante." "Then what do you think of her." Rainbow asked "I think civil liberties are being trampled on in your city people living in fear, she thinks he's above the law." Twilight said "The Daily Pegasus criticizing those who think they're above the law is a little hypocritical, wouldn't you say?" Rainbow said "Considering every time your hero saves a cat out of a tree, you write a puff piece editorial about an alien that could burn the whole place down." "Most of the world doesn't share your opinion, Miss. Dash." Twilight replied "Maybe it's that Ponyvile and me, we just have a bad history with freaks dressed like draconequus." As the two started at each other they where interrupted by another pony "Girls!" A mare with a purple main and blue highlights said "Mmm Rainbow Dash meets Twilight Sparkle, Ha I love it, I love bringing people together how are we?" The mare stepped forward and shook Rainbow Dash hooves which she shook back "Hi, hello." the mare said "Starlight." Rainbow said Then she went over and shook Twilight hooves "Starlight it is a pleasure." As she shook her hooves Starlight notice she was rather strong for a unicorn mare "Ow wow, that is a good grip you should not pick a fight with this pony." she said to the both of them "So how are two enjoying the party." Starilght said "It's gets better and better every year." Rainbow said "This is my first time at a gathering like this." Twilight said "Well I hope you enjoy your first time here." Starlight said as she walked away "Well Miss Dash sorry for taking up your time maybe we might meet again someday." twilight said shaking Rainbow's hooves one more time "Yeah maybe we will" Rainbow said smiling As the two walked off into separate direction they had no idea they will meet again, but not as they expected
Chapter 9 Encounter Part 2AS Matter-Horn started to land Zapp started to taunt her "Well,well, well look what we have here the pony who almost destroyed all of Equestria." "I didn't do anything it was all Tirek's." Matter-Horn said Sure, anyway why are you here in my territory don't you already protect Canterlot." Zapp said "I'm here because I want to talk." Matter-Horn said "About what?" asked Zapp "You your scaring to many ponies and I'm here to ask nicely to stop what your doing." Matter-Horn said "I will say this about you at the very least; you ARE punctual." Zapp said "I make it a point to always try VERY hard to NOT be tardy." Matter horn said When she said this Zapp notice that she started shivering with a noticeable eye twitch "I read A LOT about you, Miss Zapp." she said "Normally, I consider that much reading to be a little too eggheadish for my taste, but I still get that going into a fight with a being as powerful as you unprepared would NOT be cool; just stupid." Zapp said "Look, I would rather talk this out first BEFORE it comes down to violence." Matter-Horn said "You think I'm stupid enough to fall for THAT? Somepony like you is WAY too powerful to allow to go unchecked. And this is not the first time I've fought a god. As a matter of fact, my ARCH-ENEMY is a hopelessly insane mass murderer with high level reality warping powers. (beat) That sounds a lot cooler than it actually IS." Zapp said "Fine, you want be like that I guess I hvae no other choice." "What choice?" Zapp asked "That as of this moment the next time they shine your light in the sky, don't go to it." Matter-Horn said Zapp is dead, buried, consider this mercy." When Zapp heard this she became noting but rage at this point. As Matter-horn was getting ready to fly away she heard Zapp say "Tell me." When she heard this she turns around to face her "Do you bleed?" Zapp said "Do I bleed?" Matter horn thought "What's that supposed to mean?" She didn't know what to say so she took off flying into the night sky. As Zapp looked up into the sky she said something that will be not only be a test for her, but for the mare of steel as well "You will!" Chapter 11 PlotingAs Starlight Glimmer sat in her office one of her men came into the room explaining what he saw last night on the roof "So you saw Matter-Horn and Zapp talking with each other last night." Starlight said "Yes, I even saw Zapp threatening Mater-Horn." the stallion said "Interesting, leave me." Starlight said "Yes,ma'am." the stallion said She picked up her phone and dialed the number of the Daily Pegasus "Hello this is Starlight Glimmer I wish to do an interview with your top reporter Flash Sentry I may have something that is worth your time." AS she hung up the phone she began to think "If I get ZApp to fight Matter-Horn than she wqill be distracted enough for me to complete my secert plan" Just then there was a knock at the door "Come in." Starlight said "Ms. Glimmer, Rainbow dash is here to see you." Apple Bloom said "Excellent, send her in." Starlight said Then in walked Rainbow Dash who shook hooves with Starlight "Miss. Dash what can I do for you today." "I am interesting in buying some of your technology for how do you say......an investment." Rainbow Dash said "What kind of an investment?" Starlight asked "An investment that could save the world." Rainbow said Starlight smiled at this "A deal's a deal." Starliught poured some wine into two glasses and handed one over to Rainbow dash "To partners." Rainbow Dash smiled and said "Partners." Chapter 13 PlansAs Flash Sentry arrived at Starlight Crops he was escorted to the roof where he meet Starlight Glimmer. "Flash Sentry I am so happy you were able to come here tonight." Starlight said "Well, I had nothing else to do." Flash said "Anyway do you know why I asked you here tonight." she said "No?" he asked "I ask you here to discuss the heroes." she said "You ask me here to talk about Matter-Horn?" he said "Not only Matter-Horn, but Zapp as well." she said "Why?" he asked "Because as you know it was I who convinced the senate to let Matter-Horn be a weapon of the government to take down Zapp ." she said "She is not a weapon." he said "I'm not finish I also helped Zapp acquire information she needs to also take down Matter-Horn." she said "Wait, you manipulated both Matter-Horn and Zapp to declare war with each other." he said "Yes." she said Why?" he said "Why, what?" she said "Why are you doing this?" he said Because what I'm doing is setting up the greatest gladiator match in the history of the world." "Imagine it Black and purple, god vs mare, day vs night!" "The Daughter of BonFaust versus Zapp of Ponyville!" "I don't believe it you're psychotic." "That is a three syllable word for any thought too big for little minds." she said "I've got to warn Matter-Horn." he said As he turned around he was suddenly surround by several armed guards. "Oh your not going anywhere Mr. Sentry." she said "You can't keep me here forever!" he said "Oh I'm not, I will release you when one of the heroes comes out victorious from their battle." she said "You won't get away with this!" he said "Oh I already have." she said smiling as she walked away
