It was 10:00 in the morning when I got up. I opened the blinds to let sunlight into my cottage. My horn glowed a faint yellow to grab my brush and I brushed my messy brown mane. "It's always in the mornings I get bed-head." I sighed as I made myself a vanilla cappuccino. The caffeine woke me up. I smiled. "I needed that." I said as I walked out my door to find Crimson Ink, my best friend and Galaxy Nebula's little sister. Crimson was at Ponyville Park with her brother. Galaxy noticed me and waved. Crimson gasped and flew over.
"Hey B.G.F.F!" Crimson hugged me. Galaxy was confused.
"B.G.F.F?" He asked. I laughed.
"Best Girl Friend Forever, duh." I giggled. Galaxy chuckled.
"Whatever, hey Crim, I'll catch ya later, K?" He asked. Crimson nodded and hugged her brother. He then flew off to his marefriend's place. Me and Crimson gave each other wide smiles.
"GIRLS DAY OUT BEGINS NOW!!!!" We whooped in unison as we raced downtown. We ran into all the shops and laughed. I think we even ran into the Doctor who got startled by us. Crimson giggled at that. Later we were at my place and I was showing Crimson the spells I had learned.
"Ooh! Do an anti-gravity spell!" She said. I sighed.
"Crimson, only Princess Twilight can do advanced magic like that. I can only do basic unicorn magic." I giggled. Crimson giggled and smiled.
"Aw, fine. Any other spells you can do?" She asked. I pondered for a moment before my horn turned a faint yellow color. Crimson stared in awe. Then, just as I was about to do the spell I had in mind, my horn turned a deep red color. I gasped and panicked before the spell caused everything to go black. When I finally came to, it was nighttime. I glanced around. I saw my best friend on the floor, out cold, that's when I realized......she was a foal. I noticed I was too.
"Crim?" I asked. My voice sounded at least 3 years younger. Crimson's eyes opened, and she gasped when she saw me.
"Mocha?!" She asked. I nodded. "We're....foals! Holy crap, we're foals again!" She said. Her voice was also 3 years younger. Crimson fluttered her wings, but she couldn't even get off the ground. "Ugh, and I'm too small to even fly!" She groaned. My horn sparked and fizzed.
"And I'm too young to even preform a magic spell." I said. "We need some help." I told my best friend. She nodded and followed me to find Twilight. She was studying with Spike when she heard the door.
"I got it." Spike said. Twilight smiled as she continued to read her book. As Spike opened the door, me and Crimson charged through almost running him over. "OK, that was close." He said as he shut the door. Me and Crimson ran up to Twilight's bedroom, who gasped.
"Mocha? Crimson?" She asked. I nodded. "What did you girls do?" Twilight asked me.
"Well, I was about to show this new spell you taught me, but something went wrong and it turned us into foals again." I told her. Twilight pondered and had an idea.
"I know just who we can call for assistance." She said. Me and Crimson looked at each other.
"Well now, I must admit, this does require my assistance." Doctor Whooves said a few hours later. "Time spell, was it?" He asked me. I nodded.
"Doc, can ya fix them?" Twilight asked. Galaxy was there too. He literally rushed here when he got the news. The Doctor thought for a moment.
"Well, maybe if we can find a magic spell that can make them older again, that might work. However the only time spells ever recorded in history were in 'Starswirl the Bearded's Book of Spells.' Getting it would be difficult." He said. "This does pose quite the conundrum." The Doctor said as he put a hoof to his face.
"Well, what happens if we don't fix them?" Galaxy asked. The Doctor looked at him.
"Well, theoretically they could start ageing backwards for each few hours they stay foals. They could possibly age themselves out of existence if we don't fix this." He told Galaxy. My eyes widened.
"Age ourselves out of existence?!!!" Me and Crimson yelled in unison. Spike almost laughed. Twilight shot him a look.
"What? It's funny when you think about it." He said. Twilight rolled her eyes.
"I'll get the book, just keep them busy. I know foals, and they can be a handful when they're little." Galaxy said. Twilight and the Doctor nodded. He took off to Canterlot Library.
"Great, now all we need to do is...." Spike said before he gasped. "Uh, guys? Where'd Crimson and Mocha go?" He asked. That's when he heard laughing and giggling in the next room. Me and Crimson had aged backwards back to 9 years old. Spike face=palmed. "Oh great." Crimson and I were running around giggling.
"Let's hope Galaxy gets that book in time." Twilight said. Spike and the Doctor nodded. Almost an hour later, Galaxy came back, and he noticed us.
"What the hay happened? I'm gone for almost an hour and they're....9 years old now!" Galaxy sighed. "Let's just get this spell done and over with, please." He said. Twilight nodded.
"Spike, get Mocha and Crimson to stay still." She said. Spike tried grabbing us, but we took off in different direction, giggling.
"We're gonna have to catch them. Spike, you get Mocha, I'll get Crimson." Galaxy said. Spike nodded and darted after me.
"Come on, Spike! Catch me!" I laughed as Spike chased after me. Meanwhile, Crimson was hiding. She heard hooves and gasped. Galaxy peeked his head under the bed.
"Hey there, sis." He said. "Come on outta there. I'm not mad at ya, just worried." He told her. Crimson slowly crawled out.
"You're...you're not?" She asked. Galaxy shook his head and hugged his little sister. Then, after the hug, Crimson was 16 again.
"Crim, you're you again!" Galaxy whooped. Crimson spun in the air and hugged her big brother. "Come on, we gotta catch Mocha." He said. Crimson's wings spread out and she took off after me.
"Mocha! Come.....here!" Crimson said as I ran down a hallway. Twilight and the Doctor managed to grab me and put me in a chair.
"OK Twilight, do the spell." Galaxy said. Twilight's horn glowed a faint purple and her magic surrounded me. After a few seconds, I was my normal age again. I gasped and hugged Crimson. We both smiled.
"You know, this moment is precious and all, but how did you manage to turn yourselves into foals, anyway?" Twilight asked. I pondered for a moment, and shrugged. That's when Spike came in with a book.
"I think this might have something to do with that." Spike said as he placed it on the table. "Found it at Mocha's place just before Galaxy got back." He told us. Twilight read the title.
"Hmm, '1,000,000 ways to cause Chaos....'" Twilight scowled. "DISCORD!!!!!!" Twilight yelled so loud all of Equestria heard her, and Discord in his dimension. He yelped as his hammock flung him out.
"Uh oh." Discord gulped and smiled nervously.
