Vinyl Scratch is tired and wet, here biggest gig of the year hving been cancled. Walking down a street, she meets a unfortunate traveling griffon out in the street without a place to stay. Noticing his situation, she ends up inviting him to stay at her and her roommate Octavia's home for the night.

Thanking them for their generosity, he insists on a payment: to share some tales and song from his travels. Intrigued, they both listen to the griffon. But Vinyl cannot help but be suspicious.
