Laying Out the Plan

"You have failed me, yet again." Queen Chrysalis hissed at the changeling before her. "Were my instructions that difficult to follow? Have I not given you a home, food, and respect?" the changeling asked as a taller changeling walked to her side.
"What is the problem here?" King Chrysalis asked, turning his box shaped head to face his wife.
"Our troops seem to have difficulty capturing a mere unicorn." she replied, glaring down at the changeling in question with a stone cold gaze. The king of changelings turned to the guard with a stern expression, his gaze shifting over the armored shape shifter.
"What is your name?" he asked in a deep, booming voice that reverberated of of the walls.
"S-shield Wing." the changeling stammered.
"Yes, you have a right to fear my presence." King Chrysalis assured Shield Wing, nodding his head. "Now, why do you find capturing a mortal unicorn difficult. Surely, I have taught my ranks to have no fear for mere mortals, so why do YOU have fear for the mortal?" he asked.
"If I may, Your Majesty, this is no normal unicorn! He's your height and single hoofedly took down a siren of his size in seconds! There's something about him that is not normal." Shield Wing stated, shaking his head.
"So this newcomer is something special? Is that what you're telling us?" Queen Chrysalis questioned.
"I'm just saying, he's not just some unicorn from outside Canterlot's borders. I think he was transformed into a pony." the changeling stated.
"Go find a messenger and send for the others. We'll see what they have to say of this." King Chrysalis ordered Shield Wing.
"Yes, Your Majesty!" he replied, bowing down.
-Crystal Empire-
The Dark Celestia stood rooted to her spot, admiring One Eye's new outfit with a grin. The tyrant stallion looked into the mirror with a smirk, though he disagreed with her color choice. Purple was not his color, but if he had to admit it, the cape, crown, and gauntlets made him look like a true dark king.
"Sister, a message for you." Princess Luna's evil counterpart said, passing a scroll to the pale alicorn. The dark Celestia's horn illuminated with purple magic as the scroll unfurled itself. The royal pony quickly scanned over the elegant writing, mouthing the words upon the delicate paper to herself. Her ears stood straight up as she finished reading the message.
"It's from the king and queen of the Changeling Kingdom." she stated.
"And?" Luna asked.
"Something about a meeting to discuss a new pony who managed to kill two of their guard and a siren with no problems." she acknowledged, giving her sister the scroll. Luna looked it over and lifted an eyebrow.
"NEW... pony?" One Eye asked, swinging around and lifting his ears to attention.
"Yeah. So?" Princess Celestia said.
"Nothing... Now, where is this Changeling Kingdom you spoke of?"
-Changeling Kingdom-
"This had better be good!" King Sombra growled. "You interrupted my plot to kill that stupid dinosaur who decided it would be okay to see how I TASTE!" he shouted, throwing his hooves into the air with distress.
"Yes, Sombra. We understand." King Chrysalis said, lifting a hole filled hoof to calm the furious tyrant.
It was then that a trio of ponies entered the room, lead by two armored changelings. King Sombra swung around and immediately his face grew bright red. "Y-YOU!" he sputtered, lifting his hoof to point at One Eye.
One Eye's reaction was more or less the same, mistaking the dark Sombra for his good hearted counterpart. Before the two could begin the duel, King Chrysalis stood between the two, his magic telekinetically holding them back. "We are NOT here to fight!" he hollered, releasing his hold. "Celestia, who is this?" he then asked, pointing at One Eye with furrowed eyebrows. Rex's mirror brother lifted his lips to expose his sharp teeth.
"This is One Eye." Celestia said defensively, "KING One Eye to you!" She then softened her tone to a more approachable voice. "He is the reason that we don't have to deal with the GOOD King Sombra anymore.
"You have my gratitude." King Chrysalis said to the now calm tyrannosaur with a nod. "The goody-two-hooves version of OUR King Sombra has been preventing us from launching effective attacks against Canterlot. He always had some way of stopping us, even through the mirror." the king of changelings told One Eye, putting a hoof around his shoulder and pointing up at a large massive cloth drapped from a wall. Embroidered on the red cloth was four different castles, each one a different color than the next. One was separated from the rest by a jagged white line. "This is the Mirror Equestria, though it looks hardly the same from THIS one." King Chrysalis stated, pointing a hoof at the separated castle. "Ours is here." he continued, pointing at a castle enveloped in green fog.
One Eye nodded.
"The others are the Crystal Empire and Canterlot, which I assume you are familiar with, since you've been attacking Canterlot." the king said. The former Tyrannosaurus rolled his eye. "I understand that with each of your attacks, the GOOD Celestia and her subjects are only growing more weary of your presence. We can't be allowing THAT, now can we, One Eye? Oh, and your brother, Rex... We've done some looking into his personality and found out that he has a soft spot for a certain pegasus who goes by the name of Obsidia. Here's my suggestion, take her, and he'll come running to find his girlfriend." King Chrysalis said with a twisted smirk highlighted across his muzzle.
"First, Rex isn't my brother, and second, I know for a fact that he has a daughter now." One Eye stated.
Queen Chrysalis then pulled the changeling king aside. "How do we know that we can even trust One Eye? Seriously, you're putting your trust into a DINOSAUR. Didn't you hear? Dinosaurs had a brain the size of a pea!" Queen Chrysalis whispered to her husband.
"His goal is on the same track as ours. He wants Canterlot under his power and I, for one, will do anything I can to see that the Dark Celestia's mirror self is dethroned." he replied, gazing over at the striped stallion. "Oh, and, I thought you knew that certain species of dinosaurs had brains comparable in size to OURS." King Chrysalis finished, stepping away and turning to One Eye. "So! You hungry for revenge, King One Eye?" he asked the stallion.
"More like a fresh kill, but yes." he replied, trying his best to ignore the grumbling from his stomach.
"Then, to the dining hall!" the royal changeling declared.
No sooner had the group of ponies begun to leave when a massive black shape and a slimmer, more serpentine shape entered the room. Discord and Pitch argued amongst themselves when Pitch accidentally squashed Discord between himself and the large door frame. "Would you move, you fat, winged LIZARD?!" the Draconequus grumbled, pushing the black dragon away from him.
"WHO ARE YOU CALLING A LIZARD?!" Pitch bellowed, grabbing the Element of Disharmony around the throat and slamming him against the granite walls. Discord gasped for breath, his eyes practically popping out of his sockets with the surprise caused by the quadruped's immense strength.
"Boys! That will be enough." King Chrysalis said, trotting up to meet the two saurians.
"My condolences." Discord choked, straining to escape Pitch's vice like grasp. Then, he cracked a devious grin before teleporting from the black dragon, laughing at Pitch's foolishness.
Pitch growled to himself before turning to the group of ponies approaching him. "Ah! King Chrysalis, good to see you." he stated joyfully, nudging the changeling with his spiked elbow. The king of changeling's almost fell, and would've had Queen Chrysalis not stopped his fall.
"Thank you." King Chrysalis told his wife before turning to Discord and Pitch.
"Sorry we're late." the Dragon King said flatly, digging dirt from underneath his claws.
"That's fine, but we're here to discuss the unicorn that had killed two of my changelings and a siren without so much as a scratch. Have you seen him?" the tall changeling stallion said, looking up at the two reptilian giants.
"HA!" Pitch bursted, halting his claw cleaning. "That thing obviously wasn't so strong if it was subdued by a gryphon and a few taser toting police ponies!" he mocked, spraying bloody saliva from his jaws as he laughed.
"So, in other words, yes, you HAVE seen him." King Chrysalis said, rephrasing what the demonic drake said.
"Yep." Pitch said, resuming his claw cleaning activities.
"What could you make of the pony?" the changeling questioned Pitch quizzicly.
"He reminded me of that either very brave, or very STUPID, Rex fellow. Quite the fighter, for a wingless, fireless dragon with tiny arms anyway." the black dragon replied, scratching his chin in thought.
"Speaking of Rex, he is one of our biggest obstacles if we hope to take Equestria's capitol as our own." the dark Celestia explained, noticing Discord's sudden attention toward the situation.
"We need not worry about him... He is going to be our biggest help in achieving our goal. I told him that I could bring back the most recently killed of the dinosaurs if he took down the Elements of Harmony." the Draconequus said with a mischievous smirk. "When he comes back to tell me of their defeat, we can kill him."
"I like the way you think." King Sombra declared, a demented chuckle leaking from his throat.
King One Eye was not feeling the same toward the idea. "You're going to lead him right to us!" he snarled, lunging toward Discord and slamming his jaws shut, mere inches from his face. "You will NOT risk our loss. I know how Rex thinks. He won't come alone. It is likely that he will bring the Dimetrodon and T Rex hybrid!" he explained.
"How do you know this?" Queen Chrysalis asked the former Tyrannosaurus turned predatory unicorn.
"Because I AM Rex... Well, not exactly Rex." One Eye said, his voice going from serious to a more reassuring voice. "But, I AM the mirror Rex." he finished, his voice growing serious again. The dark Celestia chuckled to herself as she imagined serious music when he said that he was Rex, and then going flat when his tone grew less stern, and then the music returning.
"He has a point. If anypony knows Rex, it's Rex's dark counterpart. Just like I know the good King Sombra like I know myself." the tyrannical Sombra agreed. "I think that we should be following what King One Eye says, even if it means being lead by One Eye." he said, taking in the fact that the dinosaur he fought in Canterlot still had two eyes.
"Then what do we do... Your Majesty?" King Chrysalis asked, lowering his head and touching his twisted horn to the granite floor.
All but Queen Chrysalis, who disagreed with her husband's decision to be lead by a primeval lizard, followed his example.
"And besides..." One Eye started, "I have an idea... We are going to create an unstoppable killing machine unlike anything you ponies have EVER seen before." he said, a devious smirk sketched across his muzzle at his plan.
