Previous Chapter

I shifted my body a bit across the couch. Feeling her warm presence leaning against me. My blue eyes opened scanning across my blue fur. Shifting my head to move my maroon brown mane out of my eyes, my face becoming full of warmth. She was laying right next to me. Her white mane in front of her other eye. Sleeping soundly into the side of my shoulder. Fleetfoot.

She’s so peaceful, gentle. I’d never really expect that from all of the behavior I've witnessed. She’s usually so bubbly, flirty and outgoing. How can she….oh right. I mentally noted as surprise came to thought. The mare my friend Swift Justice kept drooling over from time to time. I think he still does to make Shine jealous.

I let out a pleasured sigh and carefully moved her into the grasp of my hooves. I froze as she shifted. Her teal coat…so vibrant. Her hooves moved and wrapped around my big hoof. As much as I wanted to stay, I have to stretch myself out. I started to carefully move her hooves off of my hoof.

Feeling bad that I had to leave I put a note on the table next to her. I walked to my room and opened the small door. The door belonged to my very very close friend, night scribbler. She’s like a little sister to me. So I decided to check up on what was going on.

“Nighty?” I questioned, Poking my head in. She was sleeping...next to her coltfriend. Who was a little too close for my comfort. Well I'm going to have a chat with her later, I mentally noted. I closed her door. Thankfully Fleet was still asleep. I quietly opened the front door and closed it. Feeling guilt tug at my heart, I made my way to the gym in the wonderbolt compound. I froze as I ran into Playbitz. A close friend of mine who was recently married a few weeks ago.

“Hey where have ya’ll been?” he asked quizzingly, moving his black mane out of his eyes. But he hit realization. “Oh, haha, so she finally broke ya shell didn't she?”

My face flushed in a bright red color. I couldn't lie. PB new me all too well. I nodded.

“Yes she did,” I sighed and blushed a bit. My wings a little open. “As much as I wanted to stay I have been lacking on my physical schedule.” I replied to PB who nodded.

“ Ya sure have. Come on. Rivet has been….well...panicking.” I winced. When rivet panics he passes out, turns fluffy, and his wings go stiff.

When I reached his office Rivet was laying splat on the floor, fluffed up and passed out. I touched his wing and tried to fold it down, which it sprang back up again. Lifting him up, I placed him in his room, laying him in his bed and pulling the covers over him.

Seeing something in the corner of my eye, I looked to my left and there was an illustration of all of my friends. The mural covered the whole left wall of rivets workshop. I was in the middle, my wings spread out, covering the rest.

There was Play Bits, the stallion I talked to earlier, who has a peach coat. His flight feathers black. Yellow eyes and two scars on his muzzle. Shine Struck, an undersized mare with a pink coat. Her mane made up of two shades of blue and yellow. Shine’s wings turn a lighter pink as they went to the tips. Swift, A dark blue stallion with a black mane. He is half bat pony. Making his yellow eyes brighter than the rest of them. Then there was Rivet. A little taller than Shine. His coat was a dull yellow. His mane a cinnamon brown. His wings turned a little darker at the tips.

Lastly, me, Calm Wind. I am a dark shade of powder blue with aqua eyes. I am rather oversized. Three times the size of Swift who is a regular sized stallion, mane is a dull color of maroon. My Feathers turn a dark blue.

The mural was so well done, my eyes just couldn't stop staring at it’s beauty. All the colors mixed so perfectly.

I quickly snapped my head to attention across the hall. A pair of glowing eyes caught my attention. It was Nighty. But she looked rather different. Her wings are now...a bit…batty. Her mane and tail the same though. But her horn was missing, and she had...tailfeathers?

“Beautiful...isn’t it?” She spoke and I nodded.

“You did well Nighty.” I whispered and walked over to her. Pulling one of my big hooves over her. I felt her small hooves hug my leg. “Thank you,” I whispered, pulling her up to my chest. She smiled and put her tiny hooves on my chest fur.

“I love you,” she quietly whispered. I think my heart exploded into thousands of shards. Every time she said it it was like no other.

“I love you too,” I replied back, hugging her closer. I leaned my head down and kissed the tip of her nose. She smiled and moved her mane out of her eyes.

“Come on, let’s go, you still need to do that workout,” she said and I started to walk out of the room following close behind her.

As we walked down the hallway and to the gym door, I held the door open for her. I watched her walk in before closing the door behind me. She was heading straight for the two-hundred-fifty pound barbell. I watched her lift the big barbell out of the slot. My jaw hung open. B-but she’s so small!

She laid down on her back, grasping each weight with her wings, easily lifting it up and down. I couldn’t believe my eyes, past two-hundred-fifty is a bit of a challenge for me. I shook my head and headed for some of the equipment.

After a bit I can feel the sweat dripping off my face and neck as I lifted a one-fifty barbell off my back.

I could see a green earth pony, Rainboom, staring at Nighty who was sweating herself. She was wiping herself off, putting her towel over her neck and heading to the door. She waved a hoof at me and smirked at Rainy who followed behind her, seeming to be hovering in the air by a foot, his eyes full of hearts.

I chuckled and continued my workout. It was fun to do this. Though I froze as a cyan color zipped into the gym. Oh god she can’t see me like this. I took a towel and flew out of the back gym door. Catching my breath I wiped the sweat off. Some of my veins visible on my skin, I sigh and rubbed the towel into my face. The soft yet rough fabric easily took the oils off.

Looking over the edge of the Wonderbolt Compound, there was a waterfall nearby, I could hear it. Though there was a soft laugh, I looked down and Fleet has used the door before me, she was now in the waterfall, her mane covering some of her face. I tried my best to hold back a blush as she spread her wings, they were damp and sparkling with...bubbles?

I hesitated. Should I go down there? Nighty was always getting me to crack my shell.

Why not? I grabbed the towel, putting it around my neck again. I spread my giant blue wings, diving down, I decided to go through the waterfall. I flew as fast as I could go, shooting through the water and went splat face first into the water. I pulled my head out which is now covered in mud. I turned to Fleet, who bursts into a fit of giggles.

“Oh Calm, your so funny!,” she exclaimed and I went with it, I couldn’t be negative. I laughed myself and fell over into the water. Just now I noticed how shallow it was. I stood up and walked into the waterfall, feeling the water rush through my feathers. The mud washed away.

“This feels good actually,” I said to her and let the pressure of the water massage my neck. I sighed in pleasure as the water caught an itch behind my ear. “Oh yes right there,” I addressed to myself. I walked out of the waterfall and into the pond like area, moving deeper, I decided to lift up my feet, my head above the water, using my wings to keep me afloat.

I feel Fleet getting closer, I swim into the lily pads, where there was a willow tree, I got to shore and shook off the water from my fur like a dog. I looked up and the sun was going down, the sky beautiful shades of orange, purple, and indigo. I laid down in the grass, my head against the willow tree. Watching the sky turn a deep navy blue.

My coat started to fluff up. Signaling that it's drying off. Great. Just great. Right when Fleet is here.

“ Whoa...you have a lotta fur...and its...fluffy!” I blushed as she got closer, her face moving around in my fur. ...It felt...nice. I relaxed. My fur fluffing up more. I tried my best not to release a meep. Feeling her sinking into my fur like a rock. I looked down at her, taking her out of my fluff and into my hooves, her back leaning against my chest. She let out a sigh.

I never knew that it felt so nice. Why was I hiding from the feeling? Well derp. I sighed and laid my head down. My gaze feel upon a wild pink rose. It was the color of Fleets eyes. Plucking it from the ground I placed it behind her ear.

“Thank you” she said in return.

“I love you,” I said to her and enveloped her in my fluff and wings.

For all of eternity.
