Pinkie Pie's Internet Obsession
Human Tech It Fascinates Me... (Part 1)
There were a few knocks at the door, small knocks not heard by Pinkie Pie who was in the bathroom washing Gummy, who was rolling around in mud for 'no apparent reason' according to Twilight. Pinkie told her, he was just trying to get smooth skin.
Gummy's an alligator, so Twilight's not gonna buy that.
There were a few more knocks at the door, a little louder than earlier, until the knock was followed by a...
SMASH!
Now Pinkie defiantly heard that but apparently Mr and Mrs.Cake didn't. "Who is ittttt?" she said in a sing song voice.
"Oh come on, Rainbow Dash!" a familiar voice came from downstairs.
"Lyra I swear to Celestia-" said another familiar voice.
It was Lyra and Rainbow Dash. It sounded like they had a fist fight that turned into an argument. It usually goes the other way around. Upstairs, Pinkie took Gummy out of the tub and wiped him down quickly, then wiped her hooves. She trotted downstairs, excited that she got visitors on a nice afternoon like today. Pinkie didn't really do much that day but hang out with Gummy. It wasn't really an interesting episode for her...
... but that was all gonna change.
When she peaked around the stair corner, she saw her two friends, Lyra and Rainbow Dash, arguing with each other. Pinkie didn't like the sight of two ponies fighting, especially if those ponies were her friends.
"Lyra! I told you about five thousand times! I don't want anyone to see it!"
"Why not Rainbow Dash? It's an adorable picture." Lyra said as she held up a small device. It was familiar to Pinkie... it was a camera! "It's the 100 picture I've taken on this camera! That makes it special right? Woah!" Lyra reacted quick when a small toothpick was thrown at her by Rainbow Dash. Lyra accidently ended up taking a picture of her own surprised face while almost being pricked with a toothpick and she tumbled to the floor.
This made Rainbow laugh. Pinkie too, but you shouldn't throw things at your friends. "Guys, what going ooonnnn?" Pinkie said in a sing-song voice as she came all the way down the stairs. She stood between the two and stared at them both. The pure look of anger and fear on Rainbow's face was priceless. Something was probably bothering her... maybe whatever this 'picture' was that Lyra had. Lyra had a sneaky smirk on her face as she had the small camera in her hand. She was still on the floor as she sneakily rubbed the camera and snickered.
Rainbow, being the one who was fully conscious at the moment, turned to Pinkie Pie. She took a deep breath and responded firmly. "Lyra here, thought it was great to take a picture of me."
Pinkie smiled and make a 'pfft' sound. "That's not bad! Ponies take pictures of me all the time! I'm Super Photo- hypoallergenic!"
"You mean... Photogenic." said Lyra while still on the floor.
"Eh, I don't know, Twilight taught me that word."
Rainbow Dash continued. "As I was saying... Lyra took a picture of me while I was sleeping." She inched closer to Pinkie and whispered. "You know how I sleep, Pinkie."
"Awww! That's cute!" said Pinkie as she looked at the picture Lyra took. "Well, she can just delete it! Or hang it up on her wall only!"
"Pinkie, she was planning to upload it to something called the 'internet' where everypony can see it."
"Oooo! The internet sounds fuuuunnn!" Pinkie turned to Lyra. "SHOW MEEEEE!"
Lyra jumped at Pinkie's loud voice. She put the camera down and took a deep breath. "Pinkie... I don't think you're ready for the internet."
"Whhhaatttt!? I'm ready for anything!"
"Pinkie, Fluttershy is more ready for the internet than you."
Rainbow Dash nodded. "You know I saw her fighting a bear not to long ago."
Lyra gasped. "You saw that too! I thought I was the only one. Everyone thought only Twilight saw that, nope, I was there."
Rainbow laughed. "Ha! That was pretty good too."
"I'M READY FOR THE INTERNET!" Pinkie screamed at the top of her lungs.
Rainbow Dash and Lyra both faced Pinkie. They could see the readiness and curiosity within her face, clearly Pinkie really wanted this. They knew that she wasn't going to give this up, they knew she would keep asking. So Rainbow Dash turned to Lyra and nodded. The Lyra faced Pinkie Pie and sighed. "Fine Pinkie... I'll show ya."
"Wait!" said Rainbow Dash. "Only if you don't post that picture."
"Alright." said Lyra and she and Pinkie headed out the door. Lyra snickered. "Sure I won't post that picture, Dash." she whispered. "Sure I won't."

At Lyra's house Pinkie was guided to the computer, after witnessing all of the 'human-ish' (as Lyra would calling it) things in her house. Pinkie was lead upstairs, bouncing with excitement. Lyra sat Pinkie in front of the computer. Pinkie sniffed it.
She hugged it.
She stared at it.
She LICKED it.
Lyra put her hooves down firmly on the table and smiled at Pinkie. "Alright Pinkie what you are about to see can scare you or possibly make you have seizures. Some ponies or some people are insane, crazy, nut jobs who don't give a circling Celestia about who is watching or reading their work! While others can be very nice, sweet and lovable with intresting stories to tell and awesome art skills. This is called the good side and the creepy side of the internet. You probably know which side you should remain on, but you may get unlucky and end up somewhere you SHOULDN'T be. Mmkay... are you ready to face the internet?"
"YEEEEESSSSS!"
"Just click the mouse and let the adventure begin."
Pinkie clicked the mouse and all of a sudden a big black hole, rainbow colored if you may, appeared in front of her face and she felt as if she was being sucked into an endless void about to travel through time and space. She yelled out in happiness and joy as she was about to witness her 5 minute long dream:
The Internet.
"HOLY CELESTIA I'M IN THE INTERNET!" Pinkie screamed at the top of her lungs. All around her were colorful pictures and funny videos and endless stream to click from. She bounced around on the pixelated ground searching through websites, forums, fandoms, videos and memes, hoping to search for what really interested Lyra and everyone she has shown this too. Pinkie felt as if she was ready to take on anything.
I'M READY FOR THE INTERWEBS! Yeeeahhhh!"
"Pinkie Pie? Pinkster? PP? Sweetie Pie? PIE!" Lyra screamed. All she could see in Pinkie's face was pure wonder and excitment but she looked like she was in a happy coma. She wouldn't respond to what Lyra was saying and didn't seem to be paying attention to anything but the screen. "Umm. I guess I'll just let her... do what she needs to do then." With that Lyra walked out and didn't say another world...
...not even realizing what she has done.
