Resonance

Fire fell from the skies of Equestria, burning holes in a large, bowl shaped, transparent shield that a white alicorn and her purple protege alicorn were creating with their magic. The white Alicorn flew back as a blast of magic erupted from her horn. The purple, smaller alicorn looked at her in shock, but stayed in her place, if she stopped the shield, they would all die. The white alicorn slowly got up and tries to cast her shield again, but only sparks came from the tip of her long, white, horn.

In the air, far above the shield, a rainbow shot from one end of the any to the other, but was stopped by a fireball and spiraled down, hitting the large castle over which the shield originated. A loud boom drew the attention of a royal blue alicorn with a sky blue mane. She began to fly towards the boom when a white light shone and a large explosion blasted her backwards, into a nearby forest. When she awoke, she noticed a silence and worry grew in her blue eyes.

She stood up and brushed the leaves off her as she shot her wings up and began flying quickly towards the castle, only to find nothing but fire and rubble everywhere. She searched for days for the others, but found only smoke and ash. She was alone. Her sister, her friends, her beloved, they had all perished. They were gone forever. As impossible as it seemed, and though most of her subjects were still alive, Princess Luna, was indeed, alone.
