Lyra had always been fascinated by mythology. The creatures, the stories; all of it was interesting to her. But, when she finds a book written by a mysterious author, she becomes obsessed with learning of a world quite unlike, but still similar to her own.

Of Unicorns and Magic is greatly inspired by Anthropology by JasonTheHuman. It is, essentially, the reverse idea with some sci-fi spelunking thrown in.
