Have you ever wondered how Pinkie Diane Pie gets her randomness? You have Well, I'm awfully sorry, but this is another story entirely. Sort of. While it won't answer your question, it may enlighten you, dear reader of the matter of which it implies.
Maybe. The matter of how Pinkie Pie finds all her brilliant costumes.  It doesn't involve much fourth wall breaking, but if you don't believe me, I guess you can always ask Rarity...

Wandering aimlessly throughout manehattan was one thing, but wandering aimlessly in manehattan on a wild goose chase was another. Rarity was beginning to seriously regret asking Pinkie about her costumes supplier. When she said she'd like to meet with them, this was not what she had in mind. It was too late to turn back now.
