Spike & Dio Brando Go Get Milkshakes
Spike walked on a dirt path. He knew not where the path stretched, or even where it ended. But wherever it led, it led him away from home.
Spike looked up to the stars, as if they offered an answer to his internal plight. But they merely a sight, a beautiful one at that. He walked like this, legs moving forward, with his eyes gazing at the stars.
Then he bumped into something. He stepped back and brought eyes down to the object in front of him.
A creature Spike had never seen before. It stood much like him, on two legs with two arms. But it didn’t have claws, but rather, hands. And, instead of scales or fur, it had skin.
“I am Dio Brando! Soon to be ruler of the world!” Dio proclaimed. He casted his right hand to the sky; his left held before his eyes. He struck a pose, with the moon illuminating behind him.
Spike blinked as his mind caught up to the events before him. The creature wore a black shirt that clung to his skin: displaying his six pack. A gold jacket was cut short of meeting his hip, but flashed when any light met its design.
His hair flowed like golden fire in the night. And on his forehead, clung a green heart blacet.
So one of the freaks has made it out of the Hospital, huh? Spike thought. He carried on past the creature, taking a few steps past it.
“THE. WORLD-DA!”
Spike found himself standing before Dio. Now that doesn't make any sense. Dah, why bother? He stepped past Dio once more, aiming to walk into the forest.
“THE. WORLD-DA!”
Before Spike, stood Dio. I don’t, get it! He sprinted past Dio, and then he would be in the forest: away from home; away from Dio.
“THE. WORLD-DA!”
Dio smirked. Spike casted his fist to the sky. “This doesn't make any sense!”
“Silence, inferior being.” Dio placed a finger on his lip, giving it a little lick. “Hmm… inferior to me, yes. But, to other humans, no…” Dio licked his finger like a lollipop. Spike did his best to avoid eye contact.
Then Dio struck the same finger at Spike. “Join me, dragon! We shall rule the world and have whatever we desire.”
Spike exhaled before looking at Dio, placing two claws on his hip. “Not your type again. Look: I’m just tryna’ to leave this place. I don’t want to have to deal with any more work.”
“Ah, Muda then!” Dio retracted his finger. “I’ll just have to take your powers by another means.”
Spike felt a wetness on his neck; his irises shooting past his eyelids. He went to scream, but all that came was a gasp.
“Just what hay do you think you’re doing!?” Spike brought his elbow down on Dio’s neck – Dio’s face meeting the ground. Spike danced back a few steps, keeping one claw up while the other touched his own neck.
Dio rose up like a mummy. He too caressed his own neck, while his eyes punctured past Spike’s head. Though a smirk occupied his lips. “You’re quite the strong one, dragon. My, if you were willing to join me, the things we would accomplish!”
Fangs prodded out whenever Dio spoke. Is this guy some kind of vampire? Well, it was useless anyways; scales for the win!
“Sorry buddy,” Spike replied. “Not interested in any plots. Though”– Spike played with his claws –“I could go for a fight; to get my mind off matters, of course.”
Spike dashed forward, throwing a punch at absolute air. Confused, he kicked a foot back. No groan followed, yet Spike turned around a threw another punch. This one met its mark on Dio’s cheek; his head turned sideways.
Spike smiled, but not for long, for Dio cranked his head from sideways to straight! Dio stared into Spike’s eyes as he delivered a punch to his gut. Spike didn’t so much as groan, that was, until, Dio delivered several more punches there.
Spike’s arms fell back as each punch gained on him internally. His scales gave him advantage over beings, but this fellow here: Spike wouldn’t last long if this went on. So, Spike stretched back his arms, and flung them straight at Dio.
They met their mark, granting Spike a moment's breath. But he didn’t waste it on that, no. He instead repeatedly punched Dio wherever his claws pleased. This wasn’t a fight of floweveity.
This was to see who could stand longer.
Spike had many arms, for his arms shot so fast it gave the illusion he had five. Soon, Dio recovered, and returned to his assault. Hands on scales; claws on skin. Neither retracted a single inch, as they took on the full impact. The strength of each punch was so strong, that the wind of each punch rebounded of each other. Thus, the two were elevated into the air; each punch carrying them higher.
This went on for several minutes. Spike began to pant, while Dio looked uninterested. He kept throwing his punches, but he looked elsewhere. If he would, he’d would retract one hand to yawn— Oh look at that: he did.
Soon, Dio stopped fight back. Taking every punch, not moving a muscles. The air stopped rebounding, so the two were returned to the ground. That’s when Spike realized his punches had no effect on the guy.
Is… was he just playing around with me?
Spike kept punching, there was no alternative that he could seek. Yet, even with his every move being useless, Dio rose a brow. He stared at the drake for a few more seconds, then responded.
“A hatred burns within you,” Dio observed. “An never-ending flame, separate from the ones you breath.”
Spike yelled as he put all that he could into his punches.
“Haha! See? You’re punches are nothing to me; you are nothing, dragon!” He said, the first meeting his face made no impairment to his speech. “Your punches are Muda! You. Are. Muda!”
Spike closed his eyes. Only throwing punches as nothing else in the world mattered.
“MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA MUDA!”
Spike stopped his assault and cocked his head right. “What?”
Dio coughed into his hand. “I’d forgotten that you're linguistics was nothing compared to Earth. So I guess I have to dumb it down for you folk. I, Dio, dumb something down for you?” Dio shook his head. “You should be grateful for such an action to happen.”
Spike didn’t move or say anything. Not a clue on what he was supposed to think.
“Now, MUDA! Translates to: useless. So… MUDA MUDA MUDA, means: USELESS USELESS USELESS!”
Dio took a stance, readying his fist. The dragon wouldn’t survive this oncoming attack, no matter how hard he would block. “HAHAHAH!” Dio laughed. “MUDA! You are Muda. This is over.”
“MUDA! MUDA! MU-da?” Dio halted his fist before it could meet the drake. “Dragon, why is that you have stopped blocking?”
“Do you think that?”
Dio cocked his head left. “What?”
“Useless, do you really think I’m… useless?” Spike looked up at the creature. Eyes watery, all hope drained from his body. Dio had defeated his foe, but not with fists, but with words.
“Everyone thinks I’m useless. Heck, who am I kidding? I am useless. You’ve proven that to me Dio, so what point is there in fighting back? I might as well end it here; my death won’t make a difference to anyone. If anything, the world will be more free.”
Dio took a step back and reflected in his thoughts. This dragon… has fears of being useless. That’s ridiculous; he’s a dragon cable of ruling the world on it’s own. Even I, Dio, hasn’t cared for another soul since the day of his mother’s death can feel slight sympathy for this dragon. Who’d dare call this dragon other than a god? Fools they must be!
Dio sighed and took a step towards the dragon. “Drake, take gratitude in my asking of your name – I only do so if that soul I’m conversing with is of great interest.”
“My name is Spike,” Spike said, head hung low with eyes looking up. “Spike the Dragon. Not like my name matters to anyone. If anything, when I die, I want to die without a name. To truly be useless as I am.”
“Spike the Dragon,” Dio said, “I am about to tell you something which I’ve never given thought to. But I do so for you, so pay attention with all that your ears can manage.”
Spike rose his head but didn’t say a word.
“Before I kill… before my father passed away, he was a drunk who showed only superficial care. The day mother died, he was more concern on securing the coin to purchase his drink!” Dio’s hair flew up, a wind blasting off his body.
Spike had to take a few steps back. Dio caught his anger and placed it back where it belonged; his hair returning.
“But I felt something when I was in that household. The same thing I felt when I would play chess with adults, and, even when I won, I was still made a fool of!” Dio paced on the spot, before shooting to Spike. “I felt so USELESS! USELESS at my Father’s foot! USELESS at the face of those who thought they were better than me. I felt so useless. USELESS USELESS USELESS!”
Dio sighed. “You and I share the same fear,” Dio stated. “But there is a difference between you and I; a realization that has not occurred to you.”
Spike dared to take a step forward, his claw stretching slightly out to reach the answer. “What? What is it that I’ve missed.”
“That that fear is useless!” Dio stated. “A second shouldn’t be spared on worrying about what others think! No one is better than you than you! Become strong, my dragon. Become smart, my dragon! You’ve already got the looks, so you must learn to pose!” Dio struck a pose at midnight, the light illuminating his figure. Even his shadow had a spark to it.
“Think not what others think of you, but think of what you think of you! Those are the only standards to hold to. By taking this vow, you become a God in your own right!”
Spike didn’t move an inch. His mouth hung open, his mind working double speed. “Can I… become something above Muda?”
Dio chuckled. “You can become a dragon who can stand next to a God.”
“And… and there would be no one better than I? I. I could prove it Twilight– to everyone that I AM A DRAGON. That’s I’m smarter than Twilight and Rarity; more strong than Applejack and Rainbow; better looking than Pinkie and Fluttershy. I will be a dragon, while they are MUDA.”
“Yes!” Dio shouted. “Now, stand next to me, TATSU!” The dragon did as he was bidded. He stood next to Dio, spread his feet apart, and swung his claws into the air until he found the right place.
Spike and Dio then struck a pose. “Tatsu! That shall be your new name, dragon! My dragon, we shall rule the world together!”
“And not only your world,” Spike stated, his eyes following upon Ponyville. “But this world as well!”
Dio casted his gaze over Tatsu. “Why bother with this world? All I see is Muda after Muda; the only interest was you, dragon.”
“Yes, my God,” Spike said, adding a smirk. “But this land has something your world may not have: magic. We could suck this world dry of it and thus much easier rule your world.” Spike paused for a second, as he presented his own right claw before his eyes.
This path I’m walking down – there’s no going back. Twi, the others, I’ll have to– Spike shook his head. They’re the ones who made me feel Muda! They’re the ones who cast me out because I’m a dragon. Who needs Rarity, when I can have a world filled with mares for my taking.
“Dio, I propose that we not only rule your world, but rule every world known!” He turned to Dio and bent a knee. “I even have the tool to traverse any world or realm of our choosing; places where we can achieve even more power! I can show you my gratitude for making me a Tatsu, and also destroy this Muda world when we’re done. All I ask is that I get to be the one to destroy this world.”
“Then it is yours for the taking, so long as you help me defeat Jojo! Other stand users have been proven Muda, but you were carrying a different fate I foresee.”
The two brofist. Then, Spike carried down the path with Dio at his side. “Now, my God, before we take over this world, I am famished. We must stop by this shop, Pony Joe, who I plan to spare, for his donuts and milkshakes make this world worth keeping alive.”
Dio had waited a moment before he spoke. “Very well. Whatever my Tatsu seeks, he shall have by whatever means.”
Things died, and items set on fire when the duo stepped past them, leading to the Everfree Forest being lit aflame. The steps to Canterlot crumbled after they stepped on them; buildings fell when they so much gazed at them.
Spike didn’t know he was capable of so much power! How could have ever thought himself weak, if he could do all of this? Dio was a blessing in disguise.
The two reached Pony Joe’s and ate the entire menu. Joe himself was tended to kindly, and he and his establishment would go on for many more years.
The Princesses. The Elements of Harmony. The world stood no chance against Spike and Dio. For their stand was the World!
