May the sun rise... FOREVER

I guess I should start at the beginning. My name's  Max. I'm a human. I went to high school like every teenager ever. I had a sister called Lily. That was until I got Teleported away.

~~~
''Lily... I need something of you.'' I say as we walk home from school.
''Yeah?'' she questioned.
''D-do you think you could walk ahead for a bit?'' I said stuttering.
''Um... Sure I guess...''
As she walks out of sight, I quickly hide behind a building looking around making sure no one saw me.
As I felt safer, I hastily pulled out a scroll my aunt gave me. Saying it was important to the lives of many, she encased it in a touch sensitive case that opens only to my fingerprint and eye.
Even for its high security, I worried what would happen if someone were to open it.
Inside the case was a quickly scribbled note. It read:
___
Dear whoever finds this,
I, princess of the sun, must allow passage for the bearer of the mark to quest on a reconnaissance mission to our world. However, when they enter, their body won't be the same, but the thoughts will remain intact. Also, beware that upon reading this, the reader will be transferred almost immediately.
Princess of the Sun
___
As I read the last sentence, my mind began to shut down.
I noticed a figure of a pony, or a horse, in my mind attempt to speak to me, but I could only hear mumbling, as I blacked out.
~~~

''Uhh... My head... Feels like I've been drinking 12 pints of whisky...'' I slurred.

Looking around, I noticed I was on a dirt path, entities blurred due to my... Teleportation?

Many were walking around me, trying to get past.

Trees were everywhere and so was the grass.

"This is not like Earth..." I groaned from the pressure in my head.

"HEY!!! YOU'RE AWAKE!!!" A sudden pink... thing appeared.

"AHH!" My voice seemed a little too feminine for my liking. But no time to dwell on that.

"Hey! I can do that too!" She said before screaming, "AHH!"

Thoughts started appearing in my head about before I suddenly appeared here. 'Wait... I must have fallen asleep. Hmm...' Thoughts began to run through my head. 'Lily... Lily!'

"Where am I?" I quizzically asked.

As soon as I spoke, the energetic pink ball of fluff quickly responded, "Why in Ponyville, silly!"

Ponyville? Where is that on the global map?

"Excuse me for the inconvenience, but where is Ponyville on the map exactly?"

"On the what now?" It said in a very high pitched voice.

"The um... Map. You have that, right?"

"I dunno, I'll ask the mayor about it later maybe. But you're new! I haven't seen you around before! Do you know what that means?" It said, squealing.

"A..." I thought for only a second before it said an answer.

"A... PARTYY!!" It said bouncing along the dirt path.

This place... I remember this place, but I can't memorize what it is...

"Meet me at Sugarcube Corner at seven in the afternoooo-ooooooon!" It said pouncing off into the distance.

"I..." I never even got their name... By the looks of it, they must be a horse. But they don't seem like it... Wait... What am I?

I examine my body as I started thinking what I looked like.

Instead of hands or feet, they decided to switch themselves for hooves.

As for my face, it seemed to morph into a sort of muzzle. I stare awkwardly at it, while the pony folk just trotted along, staring at me weirdly. I must have had my eyes crossed or something. I decided to look around and I seemed to have a sort of unusual tattoo on my flank. My voice seemed a bit feminine. I wonder if I still have...

As I thought about this, I started to look further down.

And then straight back up.

I was definitely a female...

Damn it...

Not only am I a pony, but I seemed to have a change in genders.

I guess I can't do much about it. Now what time is it...?

I looked up to see the sun dip low to the west.

It must be around six o'clock.

Might want to go to where the pink pony asked me to.

Sugarcube Corner... Now where is that?

I decided to walk around and ask everypony where Sugarcube Corner is.

As I walked around, I found the 'Golden Oak Library'. Inside, there was a bunch of books that assorted from farming to casting spells. You can do that? Magic... Could you do that anyway, but you didn't realise it? A lot of questions that I would like to have answered.

"Hello! How may I help you?" I turn around to see a lavender pony with a horn on them. A unicorn perhaps?

"Are you alright?" They asked quizzically.

"hmm?" I wondered, not realising I was staring. "sorry, who are you?"

"*ahem* I am Twilight Sparkle. Personal student to Princess Celestia, and learning about the values of friendship."

I giggled as I tried to ignore that last part, though not questioning it.

~~~
"Transferred all the way from Canterlot to Ponyville to teach others the hopefulness of friendship of course. But you should already know that. I have been here for a few months now, so I should be fully acquainted with everypony here in Ponyville. That reminds me... I don't know you. May you introduce yourself?"
"I-I-I um..." I stutter. "I'm Max Cook."
"Hmm? Max Cook? What do you cook then?" She asked.
"I don't really cook... it's just my name."
"You don't cook and yet your name is Max Cook?" She arched an eyebrow at me.
"Anyway, I was here to try and find out where Sugarcube Corner was. If you don't mind me asking."
Her eyes lit up as I said the place I was looking for.
"Oh! The ponies that run the place are friends of my friend, Pinkie Pie! You have to have met her. She has pink fur and always has an exciting demeanour. Since you're new here, she must have already met you."
"Ok... But that still didn't answer my question. Where is it?" I asked impatiently.
"Oh, it's down the road. Turn left and turn left at the second exit, and you should be there."
"Ok. Thank you!" I waved her goodbye as I left the establishment.
"The other left!"
I changed my course.
Well, on to the party then...
Chapter 2
~~~

As I rounded a corner, I seemed to bump into somepony.

It appeared that the pony sort of fell on their flanks.

I stared at her thinking about the cute girls I used to see at home, and how they kind of reminded me of one of them.

"How uncouth... The thought of being knocked over for the third time today..." The mare sighed quietly. "How dare yo"' She stared at me for quite a bit of time before a little pony came up behind her and nudged her left forehoof.

"I-I umm..." She stammered.

The pony looked down and saw a little filly she must of recognised.

"Umm... Why hello, Sweetie Belle." Obviously trying to keep her composure.

"Hay Rarity! I thought I might help you when I saw you fall." The filly I assumed was Sweetie Belle said, in a weirdly squeaky voice.

"How kind of you dearest. I'm fine. Now run along. I have a bit of business to attend to." Rarity said calmly.

"You don't look fine to me... Are you sure you're okay? You seem a bit flustered." Sweetie Belle said innocently.

Rarity's face basically turned into a tomato right there and then.

"I'm... No. I'm fine Sweetie. Go run along with your friends wherever they are."

"Okie!"

Sweetie belle practically skipped off to what looks like a school.

"So..." I said, trying to not make things awkward. "Are you okay, Rarity?"

Rarity stopped moving when I said her name.

~~~
"Hello? Earth to Rarity?"
The mare started to break free from her apparent sleepwalk.
"What's going on?" She said as she frantically looked around as if there was trouble coming.
"Well... we bumped into each other, you stopped talking, a filly called Sweetie Belle came up to you asking if you were alright. You told her that you were fine and I started talking, and you sort of fell into a coma. Standing up." I said, worried.
"Oh! I um... Wanted to get some groceries before the par-"
Suddenly the pink mare from before, appeared in a bush.
"FOREVER!!!!!" She said cryptically.
Rarity just blushed as the pony, I believed was Pinkie Pie, bounced away to Sugarcube Corner, where his destination was.
"I... Umm... Got to go..." Rarity said, before she ran, or more like, trotted away towards a sort of shop with dresses centred proudly in the windows, for all to see.
'Well that was weird.' I thought before I turned to the place I had in mind. 'Sugarcube Corner, here I am.' I look at the sun setting in the distance. 'And not a moment too soon.'
~~~

As I entered the strange Hansel-and-Gretel themed house, I noticed that there were no lights. The blinds were closed, and worse, the door behind me was closed and locked as soon as I walked in.

I started to fear the worst.

As I wandered closer to what I thought was the centre of the room, the lights suddenly flicked on.

"SURPRISE!!!!!" An ensemble of voices came from everywhere as I started to faint for the second time of the day.

~~~
When I woke up, Darkness was gone, but the buzz was still in my eyes and I felt something touching my lips.
I was being given mouth-to-mouth resuscitation by a certain pony I didn't recognise.
They looked like one of those pegasi that the history teacher wanted to tell us about, but blue. Not white. ''Eww... Why God, why?'' I asked, spitting out saliva.
"Who is God?" The pony asked, perplexed. "I know everyone in Ponyville and I'm pretty sure there is no 'God'. Well, at least you're awake."
"Awake for what?" I asked, still groggy from the surprise. "Have I done something wrong?"
"What? No. You just scared all of us half to death."
"I did? And what about you guys scaring me REALLY CLOSE to death, huh?" I said, clearly annoyed by the irony of that sentence.
"I... Well..."
"But I guess I should have seen it coming, you know, with Pinkie Pie saying about a party and whatnot." I stated.
The mares' eyes seemed to gleam at what I said. "Thank Celestia. Glad you're not mad."
"Where am I? I'm not in a jail again am I?" I questioned, frightened.
"What? N-no! I just..." The mare shied away for a bit, and then found their courage again. "I'm Rainbow Dash. Best flyer in Equestria!" She puffed out her chest. "Nice to meet ya!" The ironically named Rainbow Dash said.
"N-nice t-to meet you t-too Rainbow Dash..." I stuttered.
"What's wrong? Timberwolf got your tongue?" Rainbow snickered.
"What's a t-t-timberwolf?" I shivered.
"YOU DON'T KNOW?!?" She asked rather loudly.
"I... No. No I don't."
"SWEET LUNA!" Rainbow said, still quite loud. "You have soo much to learn!"
'Yes, I do. I do.' I thought.
I wondered what I should say next to this cyan pony whom seems quite enthusiastic about teaching me about everything in this crazy world where I've been teleported.
"MAX COOK!!" A shrill scream echoed throughout the room.
"I-I guess you should go. That was Twilight shouting for you. Literally." Rainbow Dash sighed. "Oh, ok." I dejectedly wander out of the room from which I woke up in.
How'd she know me?
~~~

I walk down the gravel path towards... I realised that I never knew where Twilight was when she called for me.
