Sapphire walked into the coffee near Canterlot castle needing a break from work, Sapphire looked at her phone seeing a text from Scootaloo.Twilight Velvet looked up from her book seeing a ranger commander walk in, she stared at Sapphire trying to guess her age.Sapphire got her coffee and walked over to where Twilight Velvet was sitting.

"Mind if I sit here?" Sapphire said putting her phone away.Twilight Velvet looked up from the book she was pretending to read when Sapphire walked over.

"Not all it's good to have company" Twilight Velvet said smiling, Sapphire sat down setting her coffee on the table.Twilight Velvet set her book down and looked at Sapphire's tattoo sleeves on each arm admiring them.

"Mine name is Twilight Velvet," Twilight Velvet said looking at Sapphire.

"Nice to meet you I'm commander Sapphire 157th ranger airborne" Sapphire replied extending her hand, Twilight Velvet reluctantly shook it.

"You're nothing like my husband," Twilight Velvet said smiling.

"Oh?" Sapphire said surprised.

"You're so much more interesting you have tattoos you're a ranger commander and your muscular" Twilight Velvet responded with a smile.

"I was married once till the marriage failed and my wife walked out leaving me with our daughter," Sapphire said before taking a drink of her coffee.

"I'm sorry to hear my marriage is failing," Twilight Velvet said.

"It's cool she was a real bitch and I'm sorry to hear your marriage is failing," Sapphire said looking sincere.

"It is what It is," Twilight Velvet said shrugging, Sapphire laughed.

"So you received the Medal Of Honor and the Purple Heart?" Twilight Velvet asked putting her hand on Sapphire's.

"Ye, I was a combat medic I saved several rangers and marines after I was shot," Sapphire said looking Twilight Velvet in the eyes, she blushed.

"Would you like to go to dinner sometime?" Twilight Velvet asked still blushing, Sapphire smiled.

"Dinner with you sounds amazing," Sapphire said smiling, Twilight Velvet grabbed a napkin and wrote her number then handed the napkin to Sapphire.

"I'll give you a call sometime," Sapphire said, Twilight Velvet smiled.

"Sounds good beautiful" Twilight Velvet said still smiling, Sapphire looked at her watch.

"I need to head back I'll call you later," Sapphire said getting up grabbing her coffee.

"Ok I'll keep an eye on my phone," Twilight Velvet said still smiling, Sapphire walked out drinking her coffee.

Sapphire walked into the meeting room where the princesses were waiting.

"So glad you could join us commander Sapphire," Celestia said looking at Sapphire, she slid Sapphire three invitations to the royal banquet.

"Three?" Sapphire said looking confused.

"Yes one for you and your daughter and if you wish a date," Celestia said smiling.

"Thank you" Sapphire smiled thinking about who she should take to the banquet besides Scootaloo, Sapphire pulled out her phone and texted Scootaloo back.Sapphire got up walked out into the hallway and called Scootaloo knowing it's lunch time at her school.

"Hello," Scootaloo said after answering her phone.

"It's your mom, said leaning against the wall.

"What's up," Scootaloo said happily.

"I've got an extra invitation to the royal banquet I want you to see if one of your friends in Ponyville want to go" Sapphire explained.

"I'm sure Sweetie Bell will want to go" Scootaloo replied.

"Ok the banquet is this weekend," Sapphire said.

"I'll call her tonight anyways I have to go I'm eating lunch," Scootaloo said eating.

"Alright love you bye," Sapphire said before hanging up, she walked back into the meeting.

"Sorry had to make a call," Sapphire said sitting down, the princesses didn't say anything not seeming to notice or quite frankly care.

Sapphire sat through the rest of the meeting which was extremely boring till to her surprise she was dismissed, she walked to the military cemetery which was nestled in a peaceful clearing.Sapphire calmly walked through feeling peaceful, she collapsed on a bench in tears when she saw her best friend's grave.Sapphire slowly stopped crying feeling a familiar presence next to her, she looked up to see the ghostly figure of her friend Snown sitting next to her.

"I'm sorry I failed to save you," Sapphire said looking down.

"Sapphire don't beat you up over that there was nothing you could do," Snown said comforting Sapphire, she let out a long sigh.

"So how's the afterlife?" Sapphire said looking at Snown.

"Fucking boring hahaha" Snown replied laughing.

"The fuck" Sapphire said with a funny look.

"Not enough mares, my afterlife needs more mares" Snown leaning back against the bench.

"Anyways I met the most beautiful mare at the coffee shop today," Sapphire said looking happy as she thought about Twilight Velvet.

"Cool did you get any?" Snown asked curiously.

"What the fuck Snown I just met her" Sapphire said shocked by the question.

"Well is she hot?" Snown said rephrasing the question.

"I can't lie yes she's really hot," Sapphire said with a chuckle.

"How old is she?" Snown asked smiling.

"She's about my age," Sapphire said thinking.

"Damn is she married?" Snown said looking amazed.

"Yeah but her marriage is failing, " Sapphire said shrugging.

"So she's free game?" Snown asked looking at Sapphire.

"To me, she is," Sapphire said smiling.

"Just remember to treat her right if you two get together," Snown said giving Sapphire a serious look.

"You know I will Snown," Sapphire said smiling.

"That's why your the best mare I know" Snown replied looking out over the cemetery, Sapphire leaned back relaxing.
