War has started, every pony has raced to help to the cause and to support the armies of there own element. Princess Artic's reaction to this declaration of war, was a shocked and terrified expression. She had never fought in wars or ruled in wars. What was even worse she was fighting two of the strongest leaders of Aletonia. Even so, she did have her friends and allies by her side. I decided to sign up for the army, to help the cause. Oh and my name is Xlaider, i am a baker with my dad and mom. Well use to be a baker, now i am a knight of the Ice Kingdom military. I never really planed to do much, i really wanted to do officer training programs so i could plan out attacks. Sadly that was taken from me as a choice. My Regiment is the 3rd Regiment of the northern area. Today was our first battle, and i was hoping really badly i did not get killed on my first day in the job. I then realized i was called on by our captain and i was standing there like a idiot.

"Xlaider! Get up here this instant or do i have to come down there and buck your sorry plot up here!". I then realized if i did not respond i was about to be worse then dead, i was going to be the frontal joke of the entire army.

"Huh? Oh! Sorry sir i was day dreaming, what is it?". I said while walking up there.

"Xlaider i need you to scout out the area for any intruders, if you do this mission correctly i may treat you alright." . At the sight of being treated respectfully, that would save me from being a complete joke.

"Yes Sir!" i saluted before leaving with my dagger and crossbow. When i got over the covering of trees i spotted a giant line of shadows. Well that is defiantly the entire shadow element army. Thats when i  noticed 7 ponies sneaking up on me with swords and spears.

"Nope!"I said while jumping to the side and taking out my crossbow with my magic and fired. A bolt hit one of them in the head sending them to the ground as a bloody corpse. The rest of them looked shocked for a second then looked at me in anger, and then charged at me with there weapons, this can not be good. One of them then proceeded to hit me on my head, good thing i was wearing a helmet. I stepped back and swung my dagger at the one closest to me. it hit his shoulder with a bloody heap he fell back and ran in screaming pain. I was guessing these were very untrained scouts. That was until he came back with 3 more ponies that looked a lot tougher then everyone i was versing at first combined. One of them swung there giant axes and almost chopped off my leg. Then a light in the sky appeared blinding them, except me somehow.

"YOU WILL LEAVE MY SUBJECTS ALONE!". I realized that was the princess of the Ice kingdom, and dang she was pissed. Lots of ponies thought she was just a weak pretty mare that was princess of the land that we live in. Well next time i see a pony saying that i will tell them what she did here. A blast of ice hit the three stallions that were taller then herself. Heck even the stallion that brought them here was just looking in awe and then running away in fear as forty shards of ice were hurled at him. The rest of them retreated, and i was just sitting there like i was stabbed so many times that i lost control of my body. "Are you ok my little pony?". She was asking me a question, how random can this day get? I almost said i was ok until i fainted.

-Princess Artic-

The wind was moving in the breeze as i walked in the cold morning. The captain said that they made need my help, and it is my duty to help my subjects and my allies. When i arrived he faced me, then bowed.

"Madam, some of our scouts had reported a giant shadow on the horizon. We think it might be the Shadow Element army.". I thought for a second until responding.

"I will distract them, you and your army will flank them. Do you hear me captain?". He nodded with approval.

"And leave no survivors, got it.".I looked at him with one of the most terrifying faces i could pull off.

"If they plead let them live. If they run away, let them live. If they stand there in shock and surrender, let them live.". I said back with a very cold breathe. He nodded very quickly and massed his troops and begin marching to the side line areas. I heard a battle in the distance and flew towards it. I saw a light brown stallion defending himself against 9 other troops. I looked in the stallion's eyes, he was not fearing them. He was Fighting for his family, his friends, his nation, and for I. "YOU WILL LEAVE MY SUBJECTS ALONE!". I charged in, landing on the ground with ice blasting out of the ground. I then rained the rest of the Ice shards in the ground into the 3 nearest stallions as they charged me. I let the rest leave untouched by me or him. "Are you ok my little pony?". He looked as if he was about to say something until he fainted. I was shocked and picked him up with my magic.

I woke to the cold snow and air. When i looked around i did not see the princess anywhere. I then heard a distant fight. When i got a closer look i saw the princess on the ground. To my shock and fear i saw the emperor him self, pointing a black glowing saber at her head. Not today, not ever, not anytime soon! As he was about to stab her i shouted at the top of my lungs. 'LEAVE THE PRINCESS UNHARMED OR I WILL POUND YOU TO THE GROUND!. He looked at me as if i was joking.

He turned to me, locking the her with a spell that kept her to the ground. "Alright then bring it, what is your magic spells?". He then laughed. "Oh whats this? No magic spells that are different from your normal ones? Well then i will make this a quick death.. He charged at me with his blade, i managed just in time to get out of the way. I then felt something on my horn, it was glowing.

"Defeat him, i know you can.". Thats when she passed out. I felt like i had so much power that second, not power in evil, but power in our hearts and element. I charged at him with my horn creating a sword of pure blue and red light. How did i do this? I have no clue. His shoulder was cut by me before he could get out of the way.

"Impressive". He then jumped into the air kicking me in the face then throwing me to a tree with magic. "But not that well to beat me." . I got up and faced him with a face full of rage.

"I may be weak compared to you, but i have one thing you do not have.. He looked around for any attacks but saw nothing. "I have more then you think i do! I have our princess, my friends, and most importantly. The army.". Behind me rose thousands of spears and swords. Beside me stood the princess who had regained her power back. But i was not not the only with a trick up my sleeve. He then smirked and right when that happened he had his army also, it seemed as the two armies fell in over here while fighting. In only a second the battle began. I and Artic as she was called charged at the emperor.

Stars glistened in the distance as I stood on the balcony. "Brother get inside its cold out there. Besides what could be so important. Oh and pa has made dinner.". I looked around to see my brother.

"I will be in soon. Techy?" . He looked back

"Yea? also can you stop calling me that it kinda gets annoying sometimes.". he said with a groan.

"What is war?". When i asked him this he was worried.

"Brother i would tell you but sadly i do not know. Dad does not like us talking about the war down there.". He begun to wave his hoof into a get inside motion.

"Can we at least help? We can send something right?". He hesitated at this question, until finally answering.

"Someday but today. Today is food time ok?". I finally gave up and followed him.
