Insanity: My Immortal Enemy
Demon
Previous ChapterNext ChapterMy next target out of the list would be Twilight Sparkle.
I had no choice. She was the most threatening being currently alive besides the other Princesses.
My biggest chance of killing her was the Ponyville Fire of 1,008 Memorial. She would be presenting a speech with the survivors of the fire, also known as her friend, Applejack, and the citizens. Applejack was slightly worrying, but a new addition to my body would help with killing her. Indeed the farm-pony had a strong buck, and could easily snap my neck if I wasn't careful. I had a feeling of deja vu thinking about her bucking me in the chest.
But nonetheless, I prepared. My first priority on my agenda was to prepare a bomb to deal with both of them, and get into position to take them out should they survive. My only goal was to kill them, and I would kill them indeed. The stage was set up among a small shelter for the homeless and the victims of the fire. It appeared that Celestia could not spare any guards to go to Ponyville. A few Canterlot workers were moving around, searching the remnants of the burnt homes and attempting to move rubble, so the construction crew could begin work.
The bomb was easy to craft and prepare, as I had stole some books from the castle on bombs. Not only this, but most of guards in the castle were out and about, helping with the repair effort. This gave me more of a chance to do this. The stage had been set up during the day, but I was able to plant the bomb that night. I knew the newly crowned Princess Twilight Sparkle could not possibly know of my devious scheme, that would surely kill her and her friend, Applejack. I made a psychotic grin as I thought of their mutilated bodies.
I was falling deeper into my insanity.
It was only an hour later that I noticed something. The injured ponies in the tents and on the gurneys were waiting for the Princess to make her speech. She appeared to be late.
Other than that, I only saw more repair-ponies trying to help with the cleanup. I didn't question how they managed to make the stone tablet with the golden plaque on it in the middle of town so quickly, which was the Memorial itself.
But then I noticed a glint in the shadows.
It was the fangs of a Lunar Guard in the shadows of an alleyway. Or was it something else? I crept closer, and frowned upon seeing the fact that it was a guard, whom I dispatched with a singular shot. I disposed of the body in a dumpster. I couldn't have any interference with my plans.
And then I wondered what that sound was....
Oh fuck! It was the speech!
I hurried back to my position, seeing that the speech had only recently began. Twilight had taken her place on the stage, Applejack providing herself as a bodyguard. The purple pony's mane and fur were frizzed, and her eyes were bloodshot, from crying and not getting much sleep likely. Applejack looked the same, except bits of her fur were burnt slightly. She had probably helped in the rescue of some civilians from the fire, and in that course of action got herself injured.
As Twilight spoke, I lined up my shot with the bomb under the stage, slowly squeezing the trigger.
A bullet flew, and time seemed to slow down. The bullet sailed through the air, hitting the bomb and causing it to explode.
Blood and guts flew, the upper body of a dead Twilight landed in the rubble of the stage. The blast had completely reduced Applejack to bits. A few ponies too near to the stage were caught as well, killing them.
I had completed my contract, and I had killed two high priority targets with one shot.
Panic ensued, as well as me taking potshots at fleeing ponies with both of my weapons. Some were reduced to goo or their heads were blown off. Some were bleeding out on the floor. And some were burning with magical fire.
I ran into the crowds, slashing them with my knife and claws, which I had gained mysteriously over the course of the night.
A stray pony ran up to me, bucking me in the head. It hurt, but then I muttered something.
"Ain't that a kick in the head."
And soon, the pony's neck was cut open, blood spraying all over the pavement and on me.
I began a cleanup, slashing and eviscerating, shooting, kicking, and punching my way through the crowds, causing a massacre. Ponies were lying dead on the floor, blood pooling under them, and some of them with their guts hanging out. The gore and blood was everywhere, and some ponies attempted to fight back, only resulting in them being cut open. This massacre was so large, that I was sure that there were no survivors.
Soon, three guardsponies arrived, leveling their spears.
One of them spoke out, "Creature! You will yield to the Equestrian military or be executed now!"
I was having none of that bullshit.
"Oh, you think you can take on me?" I strode forward, blood covering almost every inch of my body. A guard appeared green in the face, and vomited as I approached.
"I have single-handedly taken on a Princess, and killed her with no effort, and you believe that you can kill me? I have slaughtered a hundred of your kind, and I would gladly do it over and over again."
"At first, I believed that ponies were beings that deserved to live peacefully, without my interference. But then, something snapped inside of me. And now, I realize you are nothing but cannon fodder. So, take your death like a man."
I rushed forward, killing two guards in an instant, and then turned to face the one who yelled at me.
"P-please don't kill me!"
I slashed him across the neck, blood spraying like a fountain. He was choking, falling to ground. I grabbed his spear, and forced it through him.
He was dead before I even impaled him.
I chuckled darkly, which slowly turned into insane laughter, which then turned into a haunting sound that almost all of the survivors of the Ponyville Massacre could hear.
Soon, I had set the town ablaze once more, burning whatever was left of the town.
When the flames died down, much time later, the charred and burnt corpses of ponies could be seen, as well as the castle of Twilight still standing.
But soon, this was not the case.
A huge explosion engulfed the castle, throwing shards of crystal and fiery books into the air.
I grinned as I saw this from the forest.
Discord teleported to me, appearing above me.
"Well done. You have completed my task. And now, I give you these things."
A short-sword appeared in front of me, as well as more ammo for both of my projectile weapons.
"And now, I shall leave you to continue your massacres. This world was great and all, but I feel like I have overstayed my welcome. By- Wait, what is that look on your face?"
A white powdery substance covered the amalgamation, and then a flame lit up all over him, burning him severely.
Discord panicked, not thinking to put out the fire. I used this moment to load my weapon, and shot him in the head.
He fell to the ground, headless and burning.
And I smiled the widest, most inhumane, smile I could.
It stretched from ear to ear.
