For a long time, Calm Crescent was the wielder of the cursed sword Soul Edge, going by the name of "Nightmare." After being freed from its influence, he adopted a quiet life in Ponyville in order to both escape his past and to try and attone for his sins. One day in his second month of life in Ponyville, he decides to go thank the pony that saved him.
