The euphoric thump of electronic music resonated throughout the room. The man nodded his head slightly to each kick of the bass. Not really his type of music, but it was something to listen to. He was leaning back onto the surface of the black marble bar with his elbows, holding a glass filled with ice and whiskey mixed with a few drops of apple concentrate in his left hand. His loose red button-up covered most of the middle portion of his muscled body, save for his forearms, due to the sleeves being rolled up neatly just past his elbows, hiding the tattoo that marked his permanent place in the Apple Family tree: a large, green apple. His rough, torn, baggy blue jeans and black motorcycle boots made up the rest of his outfit. His new construction job had sculpted his bronze, tanned body to become more muscular, and his already large natural size ensured he could definitely look intimidating if he wanted to. He had long, straight, dirty blond hair that went down to his shoulders, the crown of his head covered by a black stetson cowboy hat. His eyes held a beautiful green hue, and his strong jawline accentuated a slightly unkempt beard, which held the same golden shade as his hair. Though he seemed a little ignorant and brutish before leaving Sweet Apple Acres, he was actually quite wise, now that he was out in the open world, learning more about people and how to properly communicate, something Granny Smith was never able to teach him. Had Pa still been alive when he was old enough to speak, things may have been different. Then again, the only reason he’d gained this new wisdom was because he found out firsthand how corrupt everything outside the little slice of paradise called Ponyville was. He had been leaning back on the bar, in that exact spot, all night, occasionally sipping his whiskey as he thought the same thing to himself over and over again: ‘Was this really worth leaving the farm?’
A woman was eyeing him from across the room. She was also very attractive. A little on the short side, especially when compared to the man, who stood a little over six and a half feet tall. She was five feet and four inches when she stood up straight. Her face was simply angelic, slim and smooth, her fair skin seemed to glow under the lights of the club. Her rich, purple hair was long and slightly wavy, reaching halfway down her back and curling at the ends. Her deep blue eyes twinkled like the sunlight reflecting in blue waters wherever she went. Her lips were small but full, showing her youth, but also proving her matured womanhood; and her body was definitely that of a woman, of that there was no mistaking. Her frame held a perfect hourglass shape, due to her generously sized breasts and hips that caused the small, tight black dress she was wearing to hug her body, exaggerating her curves even more, and her dainty feet were fashioned by a pair of black flats, exposing the four diamonds tattooed on her ankle, altogether making a simple but functional outfit for dancing, which, before she had spotted this man, had been the only plan for the night of her eighteenth birthday. As soon as she laid her eyes upon this mysterious man, though, she decided her plan of dancing the night away could take a rain check.
She'd had her eyes on him all night, since he arrived at 7:00, just as the sun was setting, and the club was coming to life. Nobody who entered the club ever stayed still for that long. By the end of the night, the room always smelled strongly of alcohol and sweat from people dancing until they had no energy left. But this man was different, and she could tell.
Just by staring at him, the young woman felt as if she was melting; without even noticing she was there, this man had complete control over her. Before she could even register what was happening, she found her body moving towards him involuntarily, her hips swaying as she walked. The man had noticed her enter the vicinity of where he was relaxing, and he smirked at her, tipping his hat politely to acknowledge her. He took a sip from his whiskey, running his tongue over his perfect, white teeth before he spoke. The utter smoothness and deep tone of his voice made her internally shiver with delight, and the thickness of his country accent only added to the effect his voice had over her. "Howdy, miss. What brings you here?" The way these few words rolled off of his tongue nearly drove her insane.
She gave him a look with her ocean blue eyes that seemed to say, "I want you.” She took an uncharacteristically feeble step towards him before stopping, and cast a curious stare into his eyes, almost begging him to know the answer, despite no words having left the young woman’s mouth.
He chuckled a bit, letting her know he understood. This had happened to him several times since he moved into the club’s backroom after leaving the family farm. Ever since he left the confines of those miles of wooden fence surrounding his family’s twelve generation legacy, and made a new life for himself, he’d found himself to be a magnet for this type of women. These troubled 18 year-old women who are drifting around in a pointless loop, living each day the same as the last, until they come here, and the club’s unexplainable magic begins to run its course on their youthful minds and bodies. They learn, though. Every single one always finds out the hard way, but they learn nonetheless. He knew this would be no different, and he knew better than to attempt to defy fate’s cruel jurisdictions. He took his weight off of the bar, standing up straight, swirling the whiskey around with a gentle roll of his wrist, the ice clinking against the glass. He motioned for her to follow him with a gentle wave of his free hand. He led her out of the main floor of the club, and into a somewhat small room which held only a large, comfortable looking bed, and a small wooden nightstand beside it. The room was illuminated by a dim light hanging from the ceiling, giving it a romantic, albeit somewhat empty atmosphere.
As the man closed the door behind him, muffling the music, he chuckled in a low, smooth tone, and the woman had to stop her legs from turning to jelly as she heard his sexy southern voice. Little did she know, it was not for the reasons she thought, no; he was chuckling at the irony of the situation. The strange, unfortunate, invisible force that daunts everyone, preying on their innocence. He set his drink down on the nightstand, and walked back over to her, gently placing his strong hands on her waist. She felt her breath hitch slightly in her throat as she found her eyes slowly closing as she felt the man’s lips on hers. The girl instantly felt a huge surge of excitement run through her. In a fraction of a second, she had all but thrown her slim arms around his neck and started kissing him with passion, which he returned with just as much gusto, yet still somehow retaining a calm demeanor, despite his undeniable instinctual lust.
Their tongues wrestled for dominance as they explored every inch of each others mouths. While they were doing this, they were also starting to strip each other. The man had unbuttoned and removed his shirt, revealing to the woman his chiseled abs and chest, and she quickly found her hands roaming over them delicately, as if they were memorizing every curve and bump of muscle on him. While she was doing this, the man was removing her dress. It was a rather easy task, being that a simple pull of the zipper on the back made it fall to the ground and pool around her feet. As she stepped out of it, she also abandoned her flats. This left her only in her black bustier and panties, enabling the man to see almost all of her natural beauty, and judging by the hungry look in his chocolate-colored eyes, she knew he liked what he saw.
Suddenly, the woman held herself in her own fragile arms, seemingly attempting to make herself smaller. She looked up at the mysterious, half naked stranger with an almost guilty expression as she began to speak, her voice barely above a whisper, her New English accent giving her voice an almost fairy-like lightness. “I-I’m sorry, sir, but I don’t even know your name, and this is my first time… It’s strange, I don’t even know how this really happened, all I know is that… I feel like I need you, and to be frank, I’m scared as to why I feel that way… My name’s Rarity, by the by.”
The man gave her a warm, almost reassuring smile as he ran one of his large hands through her soft hair, letting the silky strands fall away from his fingers one by one as his hand worked its way down the side of her face, finally coming to a rest barely above her supple breasts. His eyes then suddenly changed, and intense wisdom and passion simultaneously erupted in his pupils before he spoke. “Nice to meet you, Miss Rarity. Now as fer why this is happenin’... Ah can’t really say m’self, but if’n Ah had to guess, Ah’d say it’s this strange little thang in life called destiny. The thang ‘bout destiny is that y’can’t make heads or tails of it. It ain’t for or against nobody, it just does what it wants; it’s a cruel blessing, and it jus’ don’t make sense to try an’ explain somethin’ like that.
“What Ah can say is this: make sure you want to do this. Ah don’t know why, but this seems to happen to a lot of women jus’ like you, and it don’t always turn out well afterwards. Ah don’t condone thangs like this, and Ah’m not gonna change th’way I feel about one night stands just to sleep with you. The choice is yours, Miss Rarity”
The girl didn’t fully understand everything he had said, but she found herself nodding anyway, feeling compelled to embrace his sagely words. “I understand the dangers, darling, but I’m ready. I can’t deny this feeling anymore; I need you.” Rarity felt a weight be lifted from her shoulders, the unexpectancy of it almost knocking her off her feet, and she fell into his arms before kissing him again, beginning to undo his belt, fumbling with the leather strip before finally freeing it from the buckle, allowing his jeans to slip from his muscled legs. He stepped out of the pants after taking his boots and socks off, leaving him in only his underwear, which clung to his large manhood. He swept Rarity into his arms before taking her under the covers of his bed and beginning to make love to her, despite the voice in his head that protested, knowing that she would regret this decision in the morning, and he’d feel no more satisfaction than he did with the last girl to fall prey to this same circumstance. The two slowly ridded each other of their last walls of cloth separating them from the freedom that two lovers share in such a situation. As their undergarments slipped off of them and became lost in the blind passion of slightly drunken sex, they took in each other’s natural beauty, worshipping their flesh as they made love. The man slowly slipped inside the young woman beneath him, who moaned in ecstasy as she felt the forbidden pleasure of her virginity exiting existence forever. The two lustful beings continued indulging in the euphoria of sexuality as time drifted into the backs of their minds. Each moan, grunt, and scream of fiery, unregulated passion blended into the next as their consciousnesses slowly faded into the atmosphere, just like their inhibitions had when their clothes fell away from their bodies, and the night’s warmth soon become nothing more than a lullaby of regrettable memory.
Rarity awoke alone the next morning, the enigmatic man having already gone to work. She began to panic as all of last night’s memories came back to her. She remembered it all. The unstoppable attraction she felt for the mysterious stranger across the bar, the undeniable lust that pulsed through her youthful body when he kissed her, the heavenly agonizing screams of passion that raced through her body as she was rocked with an uncountable amount of orgasms that lasted late into the night. She looked around for her clothes, which she eventually found in a neatly folded pile on the wardrobe at the other side of the room. She pulled her garments onto her naked body as she became lost in thought. As she walked towards the door, she noticed a note taped to it. She peeled it off the door and read it to herself.
Miss Rarity,
I hope last night was worth it. I suppose after the night we shared, you deserve to know a little more about me. Though you may not have recognized me, I remember you from my days back in my family’s hometown. I used to be much more stoic than I am now, and I noticed you and your friends around town often, my silence keeping me safe from detection or any unwarranted attention. You would often visit our ranch to talk with one of your best friends at the time, who also happens to be my sister; you know her as Applejack. I know I probably should have told you this last night, and I have no excuses to give you, only an apology. I’m assuming that by this point you’re probably wondering what I’m doing, living here at this club, hundreds of miles away from home.
Though it’s too late now, I’m sorry to say that you, just as I, and many women before you, have fallen victim to the cruel thing known as destiny. I can’t tell you what will happen when you get home, but I can tell you this: one day, whether it’s tomorrow or the day you leave this world, it’ll find you again. Attached below you will find forty three dollars, which should be enough for a drink before you leave and the cab fare for wherever you want to go next. I hope you find your way to a happy and fruitful life.
Destiny awaits,
-Big Macintosh
The girl pursed her lips, emotions not hitting her yet, as she was still in a state of shock from the new information she had just acquired, thinking about what she should do next. She decided to get a cup of tea from the bartender and call for a taxi on her way out.
After fifteen minutes of waiting in the club’s parking lot, her cab arrived and, as promised, the forty dollars she had left brought her to her home, where she took a long shower before sitting on the sofa in her living room as she picked up her half-knitted scarf and continued to work on it. She hummed a tune to herself as her nimble fingers worked away, and she absentmindedly looked out of the window of her apartment, where she saw the rising sun’s light reflecting off of the blue bay waters, and she could only smile as confused tears rolled down her cheeks. She understood now, and she knew that it was too late to take it back. She had, just as everyone else, fallen victim to the only thing more certain than death or taxes, and she slowly relaxed her tired body as she laid herself into destiny’s unloving embrace.
