//-------------------------------------------------------// A Scaly, Ageless, Inventor. -by NecromanCREEEEEE- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: You Want me to do What?! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: You Want me to do What?! “THOSE WRETCHES!” I yell. Oh, but you don’t know who I am. Well let me enlighten you. I am progress, spirit of advancement. You might be wondering what I’m doing down here, in a cave, talking to a book, in a mechanical body. Well let’s start with what I was before those bitches basically killed me. I was an enderdragon, a creature of great power. I came to this world in a last ditch effort to not die at the hands of a warrior who came to my realm for a reason I do not know. Right before the creature killed me, I summoned a teleportation circle. But I botched it up so I was sent to another world instead of somewhere else in Diov. I was somehow turned into an egg when I landed so I was completely helpless. Lost most of my memories too so I don’t remember my previous name. From what my “mother” told me, she found my egg and took care of me. Let’s fast forwards a bit to the reign of Discord. Quite the being, Discord. This happened, oh I don’t remember, one-hundred years ago? I was an inventor then, Gen the innovator. I created many a item. Swords, flying machines, even a teleporter. Sure, I relied on magic more than technology but, eh, what can you do about it. I got off track. Discord was a tyrant, pure evil, absolute chaos. But I, was nowhere near him and said chaos so I really didn’t care. Then, two of the strangest ponies knocked on my door and my life was never the same. “You,” I said, pointing towards the unicorn and pegasus in my “house”. “Want me,” I then point to myself. “To make you,” I then point to them again. “magical weapons that will help you defeat this ‘Discord’ fellow.” I finish. “t’was the reason we came to thou in thy mountain home.” The blue pegasus said. I burst out laughing as I try to push out a sentence “And, praytell, what chance do you two, a pegasus and an unicorn, have against such a being? Even with the help of magical weapons?” “Okay, may have gone too far with my laughing…” I think as they look at me in indignation. “Hmmmm… Seems like it’d be fun to take down a god though…” I think outloud. “What doth thou mean by that?” the white unicorn asks me. “I mean, that if I do this, you’re going to be stuck with me.” They both blink in surprise at that. So after that meeting, I went to work on the weapons they wanted. And after a bit of research into the magic needed to defeat Discord. I found out that the spells needed were… questionable at best. For it to work, I needed a central point to focus the power for the five spells as well as a central spell focus to woven into the five spells themselves. The five spells themselves being, a permanent imprisoning spell. A time spell to keep the being and prison from experiencing time. and spells to keep the mind, body, and soul attached to the prison. From my research, I found that my kind have a… disability, if you will. For us, we have five “schools” of magic, space, time, mind, body, and soul. But we can only use one each. I, am a Nexus, or a soul magic user. That is why I needed the central focus to the spells. Where was I? Oh yes, the weapons. “Here we are again.” I think as I lay down in a pile of gems I had collected while searching for the right ones for the weapons. “Hath thou completed the weapons we have requested?” the blue pegasus, whose name I now know is Luna, asked urgently. “Indeed, we need them very soon or it will be too late. Discord has already found out about our meetings.” the white unicorn, whose name is Celestia, stated. “That would explain the dancing flower pot that somehow got into my laboratory. But yes, I have completed the weapons.” I pull out six gems, a ruby, a sapphire, a amethyst, a blue diamond, a pink topaz, and a tanzanite. “Since these will be used against discord, I have decided to call them the Progress Gems. I hope you will use them wisely to compel the world forewords in progress.” I decided to not tell them that they needed my power to use them. “I’ll just remotely give the power needed. After all, that’s why I made that tree” “Excellent! But, How do these… devices, work?” Luna asked. “Crap! Didn’t think about a story for that! Think dargon, think!” “Well, you see. There are five crucial elements to, um, FRIENDSHIP! Ahem, yes, friendship. Loyalty, laughter, honesty, uhhh... kindness, and um… Generosity! yes, generosity…” I feel bad for not telling them what the five spells actually are, but these ponies are a peaceful bunch. They wouldn’t like what these actually do. “When these five elements come together, they literally create magic! With this magic that has been generated, you can use these to restore balance to the world and start advancing once again.” “By the moon I’m bad at this.” In the end the bought my story. And, well, long story short they ended Discord’s tyranny, saved the day, and became immortals! Well, ageless I guess, but you get the picture. This was also the beginning of my time as an ageless demigod of sorts. Turns out that, since I was also part of the group because of the fact that I powered the spell. I got the same deal as them. This, is where my story begins. Thought you might be asking why I’m telling you my life story. Well it takes a bit of explanation for you to get why I’m in a cave, talking to a book, in-wait, I already told you this. “They seem different… did they somehow change their hair?” I think stupidly as I see not a pegasus and a unicorn before me, but two ponies that look like Celestia and Luna with both horns and wings. “We would’st like to speak with thee.” The Luna lookalike says. “Would you introduce yourselves first? Because you look like some friends of mine but… not.” “way to go buddy, you did a great job with that one.” “That is why we would like to speak with you. We are Celestia and Luna, the ones who you made magical weapons for.” “B-but. Luna and Celestia were not… Not… Whatever you two are! How can you two be them!” I ask rather confusedly. “Those weapons you made had more magic than we thought was possible, surely you must have known what they would do to us.” Luna said. “I have also noticed that you hath changed as well.” “Damn it, I was hoping they wouldn’t notice.” I thought as I shift my new wings a little. “Maybe I can play it off…” “Whatever do you mean?” (Quick note from the future, I regretted saying that right as it left my mouth) They just stare at me with deadpan expressions. “hmm?” They hum at the same time. I started sweating under their gazes, their eye almost literally boring into my soul. “Maybe a little?” I question. They’re still staring. “Fine, yes I have changed, no I don’t know how it happened, and yes I was helpin-” I cover my mouth when I realized what I said. “What were you doing?” Luna asks. “Nothing! Nothing at all.” I deny, though I know it won’t fool them. “You will tell us this instance dragon!” Luna yelled at me while Celestia is simply looking on in what seems to be curiosity. She starts glaring at me. If looks could ki- you know what? That glare is pretty damn close to killing me. “Fine! You wouldn’t have been able to use the weapons without the help of a third being, I made a tree like structure in a ravine near what you call the Everfree Planes. This tree is what allowed me to transmit my energy to you and help power the gems.” I quickly say to hopefully stop the glare. It work ever so slightly. “And why,” Celestia started. “Didn’t you just tell us?” That stopped my thoughts for a minute till I face clawed. “Why didn’t I?” It didn’t cross my mind….” Thus started my journey with the only other ageless I knew of. In the next few years we had built a castle over top the ravine where the transmitter tree is. My inventions have been getting better and better, but as to Celestia’s askance I have not revealed much of it as some of it has rather… militaristic applications. But this is only the start of my tale. Author's Note Ello peoples of the internets, my name is IMayOrMayNotBeADragon and welcome, to A Scaly, Ageless, Inventor! Now this is my first story and I would like to be notified if I missed a typo or made a grammar mistake. Feedback is very much appreciated and I can take a bit of criticism. This was IMayOrMayNotBeADragon signing off to see you in the next (Most likely very delayed) Chapter. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: I Indeed Know What I Did. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: I Indeed Know What I Did. Celestia and Luna, the mighty princesses of Equestria, walked down the hall of their recently built castle. They were heading to a certain room in the castle that was near the center, and underground. As they were walking they were participating in sibling banter. “Sister, have you been enjoying your time in the dining room?” Luna asked Celestia in a joking manner. “You seem to have gain a little bit of pudge since that chef has started to cook for us.” “I might be.” Celestia stated innocently. “But I’m not the only one who has been enjoying our time in this new castel, rather surprising how much the walls echo.” Luna blushed a touch as she tried to think of a rebuttal. Luna huffed. “Very well sister, you have won this one.” “How many is this now?” “Four to two.” Celestia hummed in thought as Luna pouted a little. ↜↞⇮A few minutes and comments latter⇮↠↝ They now stood in front of the door they were looking for. It was a simple wood door that spoke of nothing that was inside. “Should we knock?” Luna asked as they were not yet used to the one behind this door. “Yes, I believe we sh-” She was cut off as the door was flung open by a black dragon wearing a strange white coat. The dragon seem to be running from something as he ran into Celestia. “Celestia? Luna? What are yo- Nevermind that! We need to run, now!” He said as he started running again. Just as Luna was about to ask why, a strange creature made completely out of metal came rushing out of the room. It looked like a diamond dog, but more jakal in shape. And what was the most surprising was that it started to speak. “Get back here you scaly sack of manure!” The creature spoke in what could only be described as a steely voice, if you were to give steel a voice that is. The two celestial sisters just stood there, pondering what had just occurred. “Should… We follow them?” Celestia asked. “I think we should if for nothing else then to find out what that creature was. It looked like a metal diamond dog.” Luna replied. ⥢⥳⇜Gen⇝⥴⥤ I, am running for my life. Why might you ask? Because five months ago I found a soul of a most queer creature, just wondering about. So I did the most responsible thing and asked why it was there. … Don’t look at me like that! Anyways, I found said soul, asked why it was there, it told me why -something about a tree and a shapeshifter-, and for some reason asked me if I could give it a body again. Now that isn’t the strangest part, no, that would be the part where I said yes. Thus started me looking into how to contain a soul in an artificial body. I looked everywhere and I couldn’t find anything that had already been written about it. Which, to my eternal disappointment, meant I had to do this all myself. So I decided to start with the body first then move onto everything else need to sustain a soul. Turns out that Ponies don’t like parting with the dead bodies of their loved ones… which is really morbid now that I think about. So I went with a mechanical one instead. I looked into what the creature looked like before… Whatever the tartarus happened. And designed the body off of that. I started with the torso since I needed to keep a space free for the soul but need all of the mechanics in there too. Then I moved onto the head, where I shaped and molded all the parts and made the head shaped as the head of the soul’s original body. After that I moved onto the arms and legs, once more making them look as they did before. This is where I encountered my first problem. It wouldn’t stay standing. While making the shape and getting the mechanisms working took me less than two weeks, getting the balance right took me three months, and enough sweat to turn a lake into an ocean, I finally got the balance right. Next step took me more than four weeks, getting the right container to keep the soul in while allowing the soul the ability to control the machine I put it in. Then. I found out that, while a soul is what makes a creature a being, I needed some form of mind for the soul. That was the second easiest part honestly. I already had an understanding of how the mind works and figured if a fleshy, blob of cells could carry an electrical signal then why not metal? Took me two weeks of no sleep to get the “Mind” done, but it wouldn’t fit. So to get around that I used a form of communication that was very similar to my fire. Thus, two weeks of labor and tears and I had completed everything I needed for the soul. But, when I put the soul in it… Wasn’t to happy about the fact it wasn’t organic anymore. Not like I could do anything about that mind you but it wouldn’t listen and started chasing me around. When I finally got to the door out into the castle I found myself on top of Celestia… But you already know that. Now, where were we? Ah yes, I’m being chased around the castle by a metal creature that I gave new life to. ⥢⥳⇜3 P.O.V.⇝⥴⥤ Gen was running down halls, corridors, and any other way of saying passageway, being chased by a metal creature that those around him could only assume was one of his portal experiments gone wrong. “OUT OF MY WAY!!” Gen yelled at several servants who were inconveniently standing all the way across the hall he was running down, effectively blocking him. They barely got out of the way before he came barreling through. And as they started to group up again a creature came running through right behind Gen. “Slow down so I can kill you, you lying son of a bitch!” The creature yelled. “Do not talk about my mother like that!” Was Gen’s only reply. As they were nearing the front doors of the castle that would lead them out into the Everfree Plains the creature finally caught Gen as it tackled him to the ground. They started rolling around in a comical fashion as the creature was trying to pummel Gen into the ground but Gen kept dodging the fists that were raining down on him. This went on for about thirty minutes before Celestia and Luna found them wrestling on the ground, rolling back and forth. Both Luna’s and Celestia’s horns started glowing as they pulled the two apart, setting them down on either side of the door frame. As Luna and Celestia looked at each other. “We have many questions for you, Gen. And you would be wise to answer them all truthfully.” Luna said. Gen grumbled out a “Yes ma'am.” As he got a bit more comfortable, as he had a feeling this would be a long day. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: I Did Not Call Her Fat! //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: I Did Not Call Her Fat! “And that’s the long and short of it.” Gen finished his tale and took a sip of the tea. Considering how long the story of how the newly dubbed ‘Aura’ came into being, about a quarter of the way through they had moved into the Ageless Recreation Room, or the ARR. The ARR consisted of a few chairs, one couch and loveseat in front of a somewhat boxy device, a kitchen, and a game table. Next to the boxy device was a few prototype entertainment devices that Gen called Electronic Game Systems, or EGS. But enough of the room, back to the story! Celestia and Luna stared, slightly slack jawed, at Aura. Now that they knew of his origin they had a newfound respect for him. “So why were you a wandering soul Aura? Surely something unorthodox must have happened in order for you to become that.” Aura was about to answer when Gen cut him off. “It’s something about a tree I think, maybe a shapeshifter as well. But what I want to know is what you think of him? Considering he will need a place to stay as well as a job.” “Why can’t he stay in the castle?” Luna asked, “Surely it would be better to keep him close by incase some rather… Unsavory, circumstances come about. It would be a good idea to keep him under surveillance as well.” “Do I not get a say in this?” Aura asked. “Sure you do.” Gen replied. “Just not right now.” This got him a glare from Celestia the likes that could put the sun to shame, but he didn’t notice it. “I can tell we’ll be the best of friends, you and I.” “Really? That’s good as I will need to check up on you every now-and-then. You may have the latest of my self repair enchantments. But as a wise creature once said, ‘Anything can fail, the only way to make sure it won’t fail when you need it the most is to keep a good eye on it.’” Gen said, completely oblivious to the sarchasm in Aura’s synthesized voice. “Joyous.” “Now that we have that settled, we still have the problem of the ponies who saw him chasing me through the castle.” “That won’t be much of a problem.” Luna replied. “Tomorrow you will be going for a public address to the castle staff.” Gen’s mouth fell open at that. “Ima do what now when?” “An excellent idea Luna, I shall announce it now.” Celestia said. Gen had recovered by then and said, “I hope you don’t plan to go in a dress Tia.” Celestia was confused by this statement and it clearly shown on her face. “And why is that Gen?” “Oh, you seemed to have gained some girth since I last saw you. And as everyone knows, dresses makes it more noticeable.” It said, to this day, you could have heard a smacking sound echo throughout the known universe that day. many strange creatures on another planet with no magic and seemingly the lowest predators on the food chain heard it and wondered, are we alone in this realm we call the 3rd dimension? And now back to the comatose dragon and a fuming mare walking away. “Will he be okay?” “I do not know Aura, I do not know.” A few hours later. I woke up feeling dizzy and that I was hit by a train, whatever a train is. I knew I was in the medical wing of the castle by the strange lack of noise. It was always like that. At this point in time I decided that I should open my eyes, but one of them decided not to obey me and stayed closed. I also found out later that I had a concussion, which made these random thoughts a bit less so. “Huh, might I ask you eye why you are disobeying your master? I told you to open and yet here you are staying closed, would you like to tell me why?” I asked sweetly. But my eye didn’t answer. “Pretty please tell me why you’re ignoring me eye?” I asked again and yet still no answer came from my eye. At this point the physician had come in but I hadn’t noticed. “Please my eye! Tell me what I have done to upset you!?!” I nearly screamed. My eye ignored me. I had noticed the physician was looking strangely at me as he slowly made his way back out of the room. “Wait! Don’t leave! My eye isn’t answering my questions and is giving me the silent treatment, maybe it will talk to you!” I yelled for the physician to come back a little while longer before giving up. “I wonder how many bricks there are in this room.” I wonder, somehow knowing it would be a while till the physician came back even in my less than sane mind. Insert amount of time to do the calculations for how many bricks are in Gen’s room. “23322… Give or take depending on the door and window.” I had just finished the math in my head, I wish I had a piece of paper. “And he’s still not back even after the… forty minutes counting the bricks, trying to do all the calculations, and losing my place. I should fire him.” ‘How many times can I count to ten before I lose my place in the confusion of keeping to different counts in my head?’ Insert time to type filler so I meet the 1200 words mark. ‘9, 10, 26, 1, 2, 3, 4- I’m done with this.’ I think as I hop off the bed. ‘I don’t think I have a concussion anymore anyways.’ I walk to the door and prepared to open it when the door open in my face and sent me sprawling. “Ow-weeee.” I groan. as I try to get up, I look to see the physician standing in the doorway. “Oh, so NOW you come back eh? After at least an hour and me getting over my concussion, with no help from you mind you, you slam a door in my face! What do you have to say for yourself!” I yell the traitorous traitor of a physician…. That was rather redundant. “I- um- Eep!” The stallion squeaked. “Hmmmmm? Nothing to say for yourself? I had to wait in here for an hour, an hour. I calculated the amount of bricks made up the room. Then I went on to see how many times I could count to ten in my head before I lost count! It was twenty-six by the way. And the amount of bricks is twenty-three thousand, three hundred, twenty-two! Give or take.” I ranted at the physician, I need to find another thing to call those of his profession. “Now, I leave thee to thy work, good day to you quack.” I said as I leave the room. After all, I needed to see how Aura was doing. Author's Note Anyone who can find out the size of the room gets their O.C. cameod!!! And this will last till the story is finished! Also, 1181 words? Close enough. I want a buffer so that I'll always be on time for updates. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: The Would Be Thief Wakes Up //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: The Would Be Thief Wakes Up “Hmmm.” I think as a stare at the frame of my current contraption, admittingly. Thinking about what material should be put in the frame. “I could go with gems, though metal seems more conducive to this type of magic.” I say to myself as I gaze on the arch. Oh, I should tell you what I’m trying to make shouldn’t I? Well, I am making a transuniversal portal, inspired by my completion of Aura’s body. “I can enchant gems with neutral magic so that they naturally conduct Geth energies. But tungsten is naturally conductive to Geth energies, plus I can alloy it with titanium so that it’ll conduct both Geth and Teg energies. But once again, I can use enchanted blue diamonds and pink topazes which, while weaker, will be easier to use in this design.” Have I ever mentioned that I talk out loud when I’m alone? People say that’s the first step to insanity, but the first step is expecting something to answer, but I digress. “Hmmm, maybe something completely neutral to all Ender energies, but endstone can only be found in arid climates and are very rare even in the perfect environment.” Ooooh, filler to get to the one-thousand, five-hundred word goal! And yes, I’m aware that there used to be a wall there. And don’t worry, there’s should be three others. Anywho, Ender energies consist of five types; Geth or Space energies, Teg or Time energies, Hex or body energies, Xah(Z-ah for those who need it) or Mind energies, and Nexus or Soul energies. Now, different matter has different amounts of conductivity and different compatibilities with different energy types. While it’s true that I, a Nexus user, Can only command Nexus energies, I can direct other energies via enchanting. There’s also Draconic Spellcircles but… Those are weird even by pony magic standards. Though I’ll admit, they are logical. So back on topic plus a summery, different matter has different compatibilities and may have more or less in ratio to the amount of the other energies it can hold. I think the formula is A=(4×(100÷a)). A equaling the resistance against the other four energies with a equaling the amount of resistance for the most compatible energy though this is for crystals. Metals don’t have a formula. Unless you somehow turn into a gas without burning down everything around you that is. Then their compatibility with everything is 20-20-20-20-20. Where was I? Oh yeah, figuring out what type of matter to use. “I should definitely use some form o-... Wait.” I cut myself off when I thought of something. “I wonder if I could use a mirror?” I would’ve delved deeper into that but Aura slammed the door open and I jumped in surprise. “Why do you not have any guards?” This left me confused as we were in the Everfree plains, Though they could be hardly called that. Completely covered in random pitfalls and huge revines somehow hidden till you were right on top of it, why would we need guards when no one wanted to even step into the place? “Why do you ask Aura?” He then dumps a pony in front of me, a unicorn pony. “Found him in the castle, thought he was a guard but seems that’s not the case.” Now this is worrying. I took a good look at him, A light blue stallion with pure white hair. I couldn’t see his cutiemark as he was wearing armor, from what I see it’s mage armor. That would explain where Aura got the chakrams. “I’ll contact Celestia and Luna, keep an eye on him while I send for them.” I then walk off in search for some paper, one of my more useful if not time consuming to make inventions. I find the paper and a pointed charcoal stick and wrote them a message and sent it to the via my fire. My fire is different then most dragons, as it send messages to whoever I want as long as I know their magic signature. I wonder if it’s hereditary? Two teleport flashs later and two alicorns are now in the room with me, Aura, and the unicorn. “Did you bring the rope I wanted?” I ask the two and Celestia nods and telekinetically hands me the rope. I then tie the rope hog style on the unicorn so that he’s on his back. “Now,” I say, patting the unicorn’s legs. “To wai-” I started, but was interrupted when the unicorn stirred. “Never mind.” I deadpan. I lightly slap the unicorn to get him to wake up. “Wakey-wakey little pony.” He stirs again, this time opening his eyes… And promptly faints. “Damn it, this is going to take longer than I thought.” “Why not just put him in a cell?” “I never put any in the plans for the castle.” “Why would you not put a dungeon in the castle?” “I guess you haven’t seen outside yet?” “No….” “Well, the Everfree plains aren’t really plains. They are really a collection of deep revines cleverly disguised as plains. If you’re not careful you’ll fall into such a revine without seeing it until you’re already falling. In fact, this unicorn probably had more ponies in his group but he’s the only one who was careful enough to keep from falling.” I state. Somewhat annoyed that even one got through. “What should we do with him?” Luna asked “We cannot keep him tied up like this, it’s inequin!” I cringe for some reason when she said that, I don’t know why though. “Well, some rooms in the castle lock from the outside and have no unlock mechanism installed on the inside of the door, we could use one of those.” Celestia suggests and I think for a moment. “I’ll need to make some kind of enchantment on the lock or rather the room itself to make it so that, if he knows how, he cannot teleport or lockpick the door using magic.” I think outloud. “I will go find such a room now.” Luna announces as she leaves my lab. I hear a groan and look over to the unicorn. “Seems as though he’s waking up.” “Indeed he is.” Celestia agrees as we both prepare our questions. “Ow, my head. How long have I been out?” the unicorn groggily says. “About one hour, give or take a few minute depending on if you want to add the time you fainted or not.” I reply and it looks almost as if he wishes to faint again. “And if you faint I will bite you-” “GEN!” Celestia exclaims. “What!?” I ask back. “I don’t want to be waiting in here for hours on end just to question a would be assassin and or thief!” I say, exasperated. “I hate being in my lab while doing nothing…” I sulkily add. “Yes but we-” “Where am I! What are you going to do to me!” the unicorn interrupts. “Well at least he didn’t faint again.” I mumble. “You are in the Everfree castle. As for what we-” Celestia starts but is interrupted again. “I know I’m in the damn castle you wench! I meant where in the castle!” At this point I’m right in his face and he blanches back at my sudden appearance. “Interrupt, one more time, and I will bite you. Understand?” I threaten him and he nods and affirmative. Satisfied I step back again, waiting for celestia to start again. Celestia glares at me, to which I shrug, and continues “We are going to lock you in a room until you cooperate with us and tell us what you were doing in our castle. While we won’t treat you like you unicorns treat your captives, you won’t be getting royal treatment either.” “I won’t tell you anything.” The unicorn says. “My name is Gen, and this is Celestia. What’s your name?” I ask. “Starswirl Sparkle.” He then realizes what he said and shuts his mouth with a click. “Okay Starswirl, We just need to wait for Luna to get back and we’ll show you to your place of residence for the foreseeable future. Please, be courteous to the staff and don’t try and snub your food. If I hear you are, I will personally go there and force feed you it. We don’t need another corpse in the ravines.” After I see this Celestia hoofs me on the back of the head again. “Stop that.” “Stop what?” “Stop threatening him, I know you just want us out of your lab so you can continue…” She looks over to my newest contraption “That…” “Where’s Aura?” Celestia asks, to which I look around the lab to see that he’s gone. “When did he leave…” I ask myself. I mean, it’s not like he, a being made of metal, can just get up and not make a sound. At this point, Luna comes back and announces that she has found the room he will be staying in and says to follow her. “Finally, I thought we’d never leave.” I gumble as we leave the room. “Shush Gen.” Celestia ‘scolds’ me. A few minutes later. “So, all the enchantments are in place. I have my ‘perfect shields’ in place on every wall so he can’t get out without disrupting the circles. And-” I lock the door “-The door’s locked.” “Isn’t that a bit overkill?” Aura asks from right behind me, making me jump and almost drop the key. “GAH! Damn it Aura, don’t sneak up on me like that. How do you even do that anyways?” “You’re absent minded.” Aura simply states. “Gah, whatever. I need to get back to if I want to use glass or metal for my IUTD.” “IUTD?” “InterUniversal Travel Device.” Author's Note I am SOOOOOOO sorry that this is so late. I pushed the release time to Saturday night since I finished it. Like always, I can take a bit of criticism and constructive advice is always appreciated. Also, I am looking for a proof reader. If you're interested you can PM me and I'll send you a link to a Chatroom. To qualify you need to be at least fluent in English if it's not you first language. This has been IMayOrMayNotBeADragon, and I'll see yall, next time. //-------------------------------------------------------// Interlude: Why Is This Place So Big? (Oh, and a random pony attacked me) //-------------------------------------------------------// Interlude: Why Is This Place So Big? (Oh, and a random pony attacked me) ‘Now where am I?’ I ask myself as I walk down a long corridor. ‘Just perfect’ Now there’s a wall in front of me. ‘How in Sol’s name did I get myself lost? I’m sure this place isn’t that big’ I think as I continue walking, trying to find the room where I was ‘activated’. As I continue walking I see a guard, which is strange as I haven’t seen a single guard in this place since I got here. “Excuse me sir” I ask the guard who seemed to be looking for something before he jumped in surprise. “Might I ask what you’re looking for?” “It’s none of your business, now leave metal creature before I slay you.” As he was talking I noticed something strange about him, he had a horn on his head. Strange… “Sir, what are you? You have a horn yet you do not have wings, and how come you are the first guard I’ve seen in this place?” I ask the now fidgeting guard. The guard growled. “Errr screw it.” Than he pounced. I quickly dodged to the left, drawing on my training from my original life. The guard recovered quickly and pulled a three strange disk like weapons in his telekinetic field and charged again, spinning the blades around his head. I brought up a shield and the blades clashed against it and he tried to stab his horn into the shield. “Sir, what are you doing?” I ask the strange pony I had found. Instead of answering, he just disengaged and jumped a few paces back. His blades now spinning like a wheel instead of orbiting around his head. He swung his head around and the blades flew away from him and came at me. Instead of dodging or bringing my shield up, I simply caught all of the blades out of the air as the sought my center. As I held them, two in between my ‘pads’ on my right paw, and one in my left paw. “Sir, I ask you to please stop before I call our guards.” I tell the pony. The pony simply pulled out one more of the blades and threw it at me, truly he is insane to think it would work this time. I once again grab the blade out of the air and I now have four blades help in my two paws. “Very well sir, you have given me no other choice.” I than run up to him and toss the blades at him, and as he’s distracted by the blades I run right up to him right after he had dodged all of the blades and try to hit him in the temple but he moved his head but was not quick enough for me to miss completely and I hit his horn. He crumbled and passed out of seemingly pain. I looked around looking for a guard to take custody of the pony and take him to the dungeons. Not seeing any I picked up the unconscious pony and started off again. I needed to find the princesses. Though seeing the blades scattered close by I picked them up and took the pony's special scabbards them, they were positioned on his flanks and seemed to hold two in a single scabbard. I put the blades in their scabbard and fastened them onto my hips rather awkwardly but they would work for now, I'll just have somepony refit them for me. After everything was fastened I continued on. Still completely lost. "Shit." Author's Note An interlude to keep ya interested. Also, the next chapter may be delayed because I scraped the last draft. //-------------------------------------------------------// Notice //-------------------------------------------------------// Notice *Claps hands* SO!
