A legacy is something of value passed on by one's last will. In this case, a royal legacy is everything handed down from king to king, queen to queen. Yet it isn't always perfect. A prince may decide to marry a common woman. An heir could have never been born. War can tear a royal family to shreds, vanishing an heir to the throne. Corrupt leaders can rise and fall, as so can the great leaders.
