"Hee-hee what an interesting world!" A lone hooded figure stood over the ledge of a nearby building looking down over the moonlit city before them. "So bright and colorful, it would be a shame if someone...took it all away." "Now calm yourself my dear Mithra..." another much deeper voice spoke, "It won't be long before everything goes according to plan. I do wonder what our lord is planning though." The voice paused for a moment, as if to think, "This world is so much unlike our own, just like the world that Moon Witch is from." "Oh don't your worry about that wench Master, I'll be sure to deal with her all in due time." Mithra added with a malicious grin. "She may have been a thorn in our side in the past, but even she can't stop our plans for this world." "Very well...now go forth my vassal do what must be done!" The voice commanded in a thunderous boom. In a flash of lightning the two figures disappeared unnoticed into the night. A few days later - "Just what the hell is going around here lately?" One youth asked his friend, "Everything has been going haywire lately, not to mention people have been getting attacked by all these hard light monsters." "Yeah wasn't there a big incident at the stadium the other day?" The other person commented, "Didn't they like fall into a coma or something." "Dunno man, it looks like they had the souls sucked out of them." the youth said shuddering at the thought, "Just thinking about it gives me the chills." Unbeknownst to them a hooded woman in her twenties was listening in on their conversation. The woman's features were hidden under her blueish-slivery bangs, she quickly left in search of something. As the woman walked through the crowds wondering to herself what had been causing these attacks, "Why has the Shadow Realm returned after so long? Was it the Monarch's doing, or was it something else. This world is so strange and it feels like it's getting weaker by the day. From the looks of it people haven't noticed it yet, but everything isn't as full as life and color as it should be." In another part of the city - "Dammit, just what the hell is up with this thing!" A young man cursed as he ran, chased by a huge mintour trying to cleave his head off with a sword-like axe. It took another swing, only crashing into the ground as the man it was chasing jumped out of the way. It glared at the man with crimson eyes that glowed with it's bloodlust, it stood up pulling it's blade up from the ground leaving only a massive gash in the ground. The crimson armored beast-warrior easily towered over the man as another two emerged from the shadows. They let out a loud bellow as one took another swing at the man. "Trap activate, Radiant Mirror Force!" The beast's swing collided with the barrier and they were all blown back with the force of it's own attack. "Why aren't you fighting them back?" A hooded woman asked as she kept down, "You have monsters like these at your beck and call don't you?" "What?" the man just looked confused as to what was going on. "That strange gauntlet I've seen others use to summon those monsters...why aren't you using it?" She asked again. "What this is just for a game!" He explained, "A sport, how the hell can these things be real? They're supposed to be nothing but hard light!" "A game...?" the woman thought to herself, "Well then fight these monsters of shadow with your monsters of light!" She commanded, "Because soon we're going to be overwhelmed." "Fine then!" He replied activating the gauntlet on his arm, "I'll humor you." More and more of the creatures rose from the shadows and began to crowd them both. "Draw!" He cried, "Come forth Summoner Monk!" "What are you doing that monster has hardly any attack strength!" She scolded, but she was ignored. "Summoner Monk effect!" He continued, "I discard one spell card to summon a level 4 monster from my deck to the field! Come forth Evocator Chevalier!" "What?" She cried, "You can control more than one monster?" "Overlay!" He continued, "I construct the overlay nexus!" "Just what are you doing!?" No sooner as she said those words a galaxy like portal opened up into the sky, as the two monsters transformed into balls of energy and flew up into the portal, which then exploded blinding everyone present. "Wayward guardian of souls, descend from the sea of stars and grace us with your ships glory! Xyz summon - Number 101: Silent Honor ARK!" A large u-shaped ship descended from the portal until it hovered above the buildings around them. A shadow cloaked in crimson glared down from the center of the ship. "What...What did you just do!" The woman asked, "What never seen an Xyz summon before?" The man asked looking at her with a raised brow, "Pretty common place around here...but back to the matter at hand!" "ARK open fire!" the man commanded, the ship began to rain down upon the Minotaurs with barrage after barrage of laser fire. Loud howls and bellows rang out through out the entire area as they were gunned down leaving no more than four left. Soon enough another portal was opened as two of the Minotaurs became balls of light and flew into the portal, the portal exploded with a thunderous boom and all that remained was a large silver wolf emerged from the smoke. It growled and snarled at both of them, before it consumed one of it's remaining allies and shot a blast towards the ARK. "Silent Honor ARK effect!" The man declared, "I detach one overlay unit to prevent my monster from being destroyed!" No sooner as he said those words a barrier formed around them negating the wolf's blast. "This world...is this why they're interested?" the hooded woman thought to herself. "Was this why my sister sent me here?" her thoughts were cut off as she noticed the moon in the sky. "T-the moon?" She warned him. "I see..." He noted it, it was way too early for the moon to be out so to him that only meant one thing. "Well lets wrap this up then!" "...?" The woman just looked at him. "I activate from my hand! Rank-Up-Magic: Quick Chaos!" He cried, "Silent Honor ARK, CHAOS XYZ CHANGE!!!" The ship transformed itself into a ball of light, as it flew into the darkening skies. The woman just stood there shaking as if she was seeing a nightmare. "Immortal guardian of souls, rise up from the seas of despair and once again become the knight that guards all I hold dear! Chaos Number 101: Silent Honor DARK!" A shadow flew down from the sky leaving a trail of crimson light, it landed on the ground leaving only a cloud of smoke. Once the smoke faded all that remained was a black armored spear-man glaring down upon the wolf before it. "Don't tell me Chaos has already gotten here?" The woman asked fearfully. "I haven't got a clue of what you're on about lady." He told her, "I told you this is a game here...and I'm about to end it." She just looked at him as confused as ever, but decided to continue watching. "Silent Honor DARK, Seal that wolf away!" He commanded and the spear-man encased the wolf in a crystal that floated beside it. "Now attack!" The spear-man turned towards the remaining Minotaur and in an instant impaled it and then faded away leaving nothing behind but two smoking card. The man walked up to where the cards fell and picked them up. "Battle Ox and Diamond Dire Wolf?" He wondered aloud, "Just what the hell happened to these cards?" But before he could question the woman she had already vanished. "I think Solaire might like to see these...speaking of which...oh shit I'm gonna be late for my date at this rate!" The man just ran off to who knows where, unaware that he was being watched by the woman from afar.
