Rainbow Coloured Balloons
A Rainbow trail sped across the sky, grabbing pieces of clouds and moving them into place. A cyan pegasus mare smiled at her work, light snow beginning to fall.
"Rainbow Dash!" Rarity cried out, causing the pegasus to land on the ground.
"Yeah Rarity?" Rainbow questioned.
"Well it's just that I was going to have this date tonight-" Rarity said, causing Rainbow to laugh.
"Ya need a colt friend for that to happen," Rainbow said before she started laughing again.
"I do have a colt friend, thank you very much," Rarity retorted to the rainbow maned mare.
"Oh yeah? How many times have you and Thunderlane even kissed?" The question that caused Rarity to look away for a few seconds.
"Never, but that's besides the point," Rarity said.
"Leave her alone, Rainbow," a country voice said. Rarity and Rainbow turned to see Applejack walking towards them.
"Applejack darling, what brings you here?" Rarity asks her.
"Ah was just shoppin'. And Rainbow, at least Rarity has a special somepony." Applejack said with a smirk.
Rainbow rolled her eyes at her and said, "Please, I don't do all that lovey dovey stuff."
"Oh you'll find the stallion of your dreams soon dear," Rarity said before a loud voice blasted in her ears.
"Hiya girls!" Pinkie cheered, appearing out of nowhere.
"Pinkie? Where did you come from?" Rainbow asked. The jolly pink mare shrugged.
"I have no idea. But I'm here to invite you all to my party tonight!" Pinkie exclaimed.
"Oh, I can't make it. Terribly sorry, dear," Rarity said.
"Sorry. Ah got chores at home 'n Ah gotta get 'em done before the snow storm takes over." Applejack stated.
"I guess I'll go, Pinkie. Got nothing better to do tonight. Do you mind if I bring Tank over?" Rainbow asked Pinkie.
"Nope. Oh! We could have a sleepover!" Pinkie cheered, jumping up and down.
Rainbow Dash entered the sweet shop to see her pink coat friend rush around the room, coloring the wall with fun looking games. With Pinkie using her normal Party Cannon to cover the full faster with all sorts of joyful items that can bring a smile to anypony’s face.
During this, Pinkie’s pet alligator, Gummy, watched from the sidelines, blinking and trying to eat a piece of colored paper. Pinkie let out a gasp when she saw Gummy blink.
“You’re right Gummy. How could have I forgotten about that!?” Pinkie exclaimed, rushing halfway across the room.
“Umm...Pinkie” Rainbow couldn’t help but say softly. Watching her hyper friend rush around the sweet shop at almost lightning speed. Rainbow smiled watching her friend hard at work, to make the whole place being a welcome to Rainbow and only Rainbow It made her feel like she was the most important pony in the party pony world.
Even to some points the hyper pink party pony looked kind of cute. Rainbow couldn’t place a thought on why she was thinking this way about her best friend. But it seems like thought wouldn’t leave her mind making her cheeks burn with a red blush.
It was strange but it just felt right to her, for some weird reason she just couldn’t put her hoof on it. Just seeing Pinkie rushing around building the inside of Sugar Cube Corner to look like it belong outside so they could feel like they wasn’t trap. It was nice, to see Pinkie just putting all of this work in just for her.
“Pinkie!” Rainbow said, causing the party pony to stop in her tracks.
“Dashie!” She cried out rushing over to hug her friend.
“You made it!” Pinkie cheered, with Rainbow smiling on how warm the hug felt. To just have Pinkie hugging her. It was strange to say the less.
“Well, of course I made it Pinks. I why wouldn’t I not hang out with you?” Rainbow question when Pinkie let go of her.
Rainbow just felt disappoint that Pinkie let go of the hug to get more of a move on. The cyan mare wanted it to just last forever.

For her it just didn’t make any sense. She never felt this way about Pinkie before but now. The more Rainbow looked at Pinkie the more she felt the strange feeling in her heart. The feeling are new but her thoughts got cut off by the loud mouth herself.
“Dinner Dashie!” Pinkie cried out.
Rainbow Dash look at the blue table, with a cardboard background coloured like the night sky with small white spots for stars. The mountains in the background, the ground around the table, green like grass with the meal being Pasta.
The meal itself look delicious. Licking her lips, Rainbow sat down, her seat being close to Pinkie’s. Who had her eyes closed, eating the Pasta with Rainbow doing the same just having a huge red blush on her cheeks.
Rainbow looked at Pinkie and how adorable she looked, the noodle the two was eating the same one. Causing Pinkie and Rainbow lips to connect in a heated kiss, Pinkie’s eyes widened in pure shock and surprise Rainbow was also in a state of shock but it the kiss felt wonderful.
Pinkie pull away from her, with a weird look in her eyes. The hyper pony thought her first kiss wouldn’t leave this way.
“Umm...Dashie let’s never tell anypony about this, alright” Pinkie said, which made Rainbow drop.
“Alright Pinks, this never happen.” Rainbow said, forcing the next words out. “And will never happen again” she finished.
The normally joyful Earth pony frown at her friend words, it was an accident but Rainbow looked so down in the dumps. It stumped her, she knows that the cyan pegasus is a stubborn one, but normally Rainbow isn’t this down.
Pinkie mind was running a mile a minute, the inside of her mind is just a hamster running on a wheel. Pinkie giggled to herself, I like hamsters she thought, her thoughts going away from Rainbow.
Wait, Dashie needs my help to be happy again! I know what could work. Pinkie thought, growing a more evil smile.
Rainbow let out a yawn, having been sitting on Pinkie’s cyan green bed with the balloons patterns for the past twenty minutes. The party pony said for her to wait here while Pinkie got Rainbow’s surprise ready.
The idea of getting something from Pinkie isn’t new, but now? Rainbow looked at the clock on the wall it readed, “7:00” at night. Rainbow let out a sigh just when Pinkie run back into the room, wearing safety glasses and a tall white chef hat. "Yeah Pinkie?" Rainbow questioned.
Pinkie smiled at Rainbow, pulling out a bowl of Rock Candy out to sit in front of the pegasus with each rock being a different colour of the rainbow. Rainbow Dash smiled in return, her rose colour eyes looking down at the Candy.
“Umm… Thanks Pinkie, but after last time I don’t really like Rock Candy” Rainbow Dash said, making Pinkie frown at her words.
“What? But, but, it meant to make our friendship stronger” Pinkie said, falling on the ground.
Rainbow bit her lip, getting off the bed to sit next to her friend, wrapping her wing around her.
“I may not like Rock Candy, but I like you” Rainbow said, Idiot, idiot! Oh I like you, why not just say you have a crush?! Rainbow thought
“Really Dashie?” Pinkie question
Rainbow Dash smiled, snuggling Pinkie’s neck making the Earth pony smile once again.
“Of course Pinkie, you’re mine friend” Rainbow forced out, not wanting to tell her about her true feelings.
Pinkie looked at her friend, knowing that something is different with the normal hot headed pegasus. Something about Rainbow just seem different, where it was just hard to see what to do about it? The questions ran through the joyful pink pony mind.
It was hard to say why this was about, Pinkie started thinking about why she was worried about Rainbow’s happiness to this point? Such she like spreading smiles to all her friends in Ponyville.
This just seem different, Rainbow’s smile to Pinkie was the best out of all her friends. That cocky, full of herself, impatient hotheaded cyan pegasus. How her rainbow mane flow in the wind when she flying fast in the bright blue sky, that she clear out the white clouds in the sky in a short time of ten seconds at Pinkie was always amazed that.
Then there was that accidentally kiss the two best friends shared. It was strange, different and Pinkie thought that it wouldn’t go anywhere, with Pinkie being afraid of losing one of her best friends if she dated and lost in a bad fight that caused a break up.
Pinkie looked at Rainbow seeing at her friends face is disappointed, the cyan mare not wanting to show it but Pinkie could see it as clear as day. Pinkie decide to just asked.
"Do you have feeling towards me?" Pinkie asked, causing Rainbow's eyes to widen in shock.
The cyan pegaus let out a sigh, "Yes, since we kissed"
"Why? I'm too hyper, even you can't stay around me most of the time" Pinkie said, looking at the ground.
Rainbow wrap her wing around Pinkie, causing the pink pony to let a small smile on her lips.
"Yes, you can be high strong, hyper but I think that what I like about you. You are just so fun and friendly, well that why I like you, maybe even love" Rainbow said causing Pinkie to kiss her on the cheek.
"Well we could always give this a try" Pinkie said
"I'll love too"
Author's Note
Man, I need to change my ending, going from the two getting together to now dating but not sure what will happen. True that what real life is like, but this is a fanfic. I could make a different ending one day, all well maybe someday, seeing next story is I swear is Sweet and Sour Apples it is finish my editor hand got broken, so I'm all by my self, I say this and I work with someone with this, I really should learn when to shut my mouth I just keep getting more plot holes in my Mister Phoenix name.
