Hearts and Hoovesby DiamondStar4242ChaptersWelcome Home (RariDash)Cupcakes (TwiPie)The Pinic (FlutterMac) Welcome Home (RariDash)Rainbow Dash landed in front of Rarity’s boutique late at night, panting and out of breath. She had to fly to Ponyville all the way from Canterlot after the Wonderbolts latest show. She practically begged Spitfire to let her off for a few days. Spitfire was unconvinced at first but Rainbow wouldn’t let it go. The stubborn mare won out in the end. Rainbow shook the stray rainbow colored hairs out of her eyes and smiled at the site of her second home. Back in the summer, when she and Rarity got together they had spent most of their time in Carousel Boutique and Rainbow had come to love the cute little dress shop. She pushed open the door, trying her best not to make any sound, forgetting about the bell at the door signaling her entrance. It jingled loudly and Rainbow winced. She closed the door quietly and slipped into the darkened shop. Rarity was a deep sleeper so she doubted the fashionista would be awakened. Using the tips of her hooves, Dash sneaked up the stairs and flew toward her beautiful marefriend’s room. Although the room was dark, some moonlight slipped through the curtains and fell on the sleeping white unicorn. A blue mask covered her eyes and her silken purple hair was a little wet, evidence that she had taken a shower before hitting the hay. The white moonlight gave the mare an almost ethereal glow. Rainbow walked up next to the bed and ran a hoof through her hair. The cyan mare leaned in and kissed her lover on the forehead lightly, trying not to wake the sleeping beauty. Despite her effort, Rarity opened her eyes, a little startled. Seeing that it was Rainbow, she put her hooves around the blue Pegasus and kissed her deeply. The intruder was more than happy to return the kiss. Her lips were soft and cold, most likely because of the cold night. Finally, Rarity pulled away and smiled warmly. “I thought you weren’t getting back until Saturday.” She whispered Rainbow Dash licked her lips and responded, “Surprise! I wasn’t going to until I realized that it was our anniversary tomorrow. I couldn’t leave you here alone on such a special day.” She pointed at the clock in the corner that read 12:00. “I guess I was too late.” Rainbow sighed with a disappointed tone in her voice. Rarity giggled. “Don’t worry about that! You’re here now and I certainly won’t be getting anymore sleep any time soon. Would you like to join me for some tea?” Rainbow smirked. “Got anything stronger?” Rarity laughed. It was a beautiful tinkling sound that made Rainbow Dash realize just how much she had missed her while she was away. The unicorn suddenly took Rainbow’s side and pushed her against the bed. While she was down, Rarity hopped on top of her, smiling good-naturedly. Rainbow gasped, her eyes wide. “Damn Rares! Did you gain some weight while I was gone?” Rarity frowned and hit the mare underneath her playfully. Pouting, she leaned down gave Rainbow a trail of kiss that led from her neck to her jaw. The other mare moaned softly. “I thought I could be on top for once.” She winked. Rainbow grinned. “Nope that’s my spot Rares. Now what were we saying about tea?” she asked, using air quotes on the word ‘tea’ Rarity sighed and got off of Rainbow. “I might have some vodka somewhere.” “Yessss” the blue mare hissed. Downstairs, Rarity brewed some coffee for herself and passed a bottle of vodka to her companion. There was no tea involved. Rarity sat down and daintily sipped her coffee. “How was Canterlot? Did you stop by the boutique?” Rainbow shook her head. “I was really busy all week. Fleet broke her hoof so she couldn’t perform. We got a replacement just in time. Somepony named Midnight Strike or something.” She said waving her hoof around. “Besides that, it was the usual. What about you?” Rarity put her cup down. “I missed you quite a lot, but I had lots of work to keep me busy. Since it’s around Grand Galloping Gala time, I have a huge order of dresses to fill. Do you think you can model for me?” The cyan mare glared at her marefriend. “No way! Ask ‘Shy. She’ll help you.” Rarity sighed, disappointed. “I wish it didn’t have to come to this but…” Quickly, the unicorn tackled Rainbow to the ground and started tickling her. “How about now, darling? Change your mind?” Rainbow Dash struggled. “Hee-hee hahaha—stop—he heeee haha-ha- I’ll—ha ha do it- just- hee-stop! Hahaha!” Rarity suddenly stopped and dusted herself off. “That’s better. And who said I couldn’t be playful? Hmpf!” Rainbow chuckled. “Not me, that’s for sure. Now that I’m back I thought we could have some fun.” She winked suggestively. Rarity rolled her eyes. “You’ve only been back an hour and you’re already thinking about sex. What am I going to do with you?” The Wonderbolt pouted. “Does that mean ‘no’?” she sat down, hooves folded. Rarity laughed. “Now I didn’t say anything like that. I’m not cruel, darling.” Rainbow quickly flew onto her and kissed her greedily. Wrapping her hooves around the other mare’s waist, she picked her up and set her down on the table, with her mouth still on the other mares. After a few seconds of heated kissing, Rarity pulled away with glistening eyes, panting heavily. She kissed her Rainbow on the nose. “That was amazing. You were gone for so long I forgot how good it felt.” Rainbow nodded and grabbed Rarity’s hoof. “Well I’m here now and there’s a lot more where that came from.” Rarity let her lead the way to the bedroom, where they fell on the bed. Rainbow put her hoof against her chest, feeling her racing heart. Then, she put Rarity’s hoof on her chest. “This is yours.” Rarity giggled. “I love it when you get romantic.” Rainbow Dash sighed happily. “I love you Rarity.” Rarity smiled. “I love you, too.” The last thing Dash saw was a blue aura pulling the curtains closed. Cupcakes (TwiPie)Twilight sighed as she watched the raindrops pound at her window. She shuddered as she heard another crack of thunder and the flash of lightning that accompanied it. The castle felt incredibly empty with Spike away in Canterlot and her only company a gray comforter and a book. She shuddered again, wrapping the comforter tightly around her. Why couldn’t she sleep? She closed her eyes and, for a moment, she felt soft pink hooves wrap around her waist and the smell of vanilla frosting. Snapping out of her reverie, she closed her book suddenly and shook her head. What was wrong with her? For the past few months she had been having strange thoughts about her bubbly pink friend. She hadn’t shared her feelings with anyone, not even Spike. Twilight had waved it off as just being tired or needing somepony to cheer her up or even help her relax. Pinkie would’ve thrown her a party just for that. Just for anyone. Suddenly a loud knock echoed through the castle. Twilight stood up suddenly and frowned. “Who could be out in such a storm?” When she opened the door she found a soaked and shivering pink mare. “H-hey T-twilight! W-what’s up-p?” Twilight stared at Pinkie, wide-eyed. “Pinkie!? Come in, it’s pouring out there! Maybe after you take a nice warm bath you can tell me what in Equestria you were doing out in the rain so late at night.” Pinkie stepped into the castle and collapsed in a heap on the floor, unconscious. The alicorn sighed and summoned a towel. “Now how is she going to take a bath? Would it be wrong for me to do it for her? She wouldn’t mind right, since she’s always invading other people's personal space? Well for ME to do it would be even worse since I have feelings for her. The question is should I?” Twilight thought for a while and decided to dry her off and then put her to bed. “When she wakes up I’ll ask her what she was doing outside and if she wants to take a shower” she smiled at her perfect planning. The lavender mare threw the towel to the side and used her magic to dry Pinkie which was faster and far more effective. Getting to work, she levitated the snoring party pony onto her spare bed and tucked her in. Then, she filled the bathtub with boiling water and some of Spike’s bubble bath soap. The water should have cooled off by the time Pinkie woke up. The last thing to do was bake some cupcakes! Pinkie would want some when she woke up, and since this wasn’t Sugarcube Corner, Twilight would have to make do with the supplies she had here. After taking out all the ingredients to start, she heard a moan come from the guest room. Twilight frowned, how had she woken up so quickly? The princess rushed to her friend’s room. “Pinkie Pie! What are you doing out of bed?” Twilight cried. The still groggy pink mare perked up at the site of Twilight. “Oh hey Twi! I just woke up and you were all like ‘I should take a bath’ so I’m going to go do that. ” Pinkie started to move towards the bathroom but Twilight’s purple magic stopped her. “If you remember, I also said you would tell me what you were doing outside in the cold.” She said sternly. Pinkie smiled sheepishly. “Haha about that…..” Twilight tapped her hoof and raised an eyebrow. “Well?” Pinkie smile vanished and her ears drooped. “I was lonely” she confessed. Twilight looked confused. “What about the Cakes?” Pinkie shook her head. “They’re in Fillydelphia preparing for the annual Equestrian Baking Competition! They took the Baby Cakes with them. I got super-duper lonely so I locked up the shop and came here. I thought about going to Sweet Apple Acres but I remembered that Spike was off in Canterlot for dragon-y business so you must be lonely too. I thought we could be lonely together.” She offered a small smile at that last sentence. Twilight smiled back. “Okay. How about you take your bath and then come downstairs and help me make cupcakes?” Pinkie grinned. “Oooh! I love cupcakes.” “I know” the other mare chuckled. ______________________________________________________________________________ In the kitchen…. “Okay, so the first ingredient is one cup of flour.” Twilight read aloud from her cookbook. Pinkie was hopping around the kitchen humming pleasantly. “Okey dokey lokey!” she said. The bouncing baker opened the crystal cabinet for a measuring cup. “You forgot the measuring cup, silly!” she sang. After all the ingredients were in, Pinkie waved her hoof around frantically. “TwilightTwilightTwilight! Can I mix? Please??” A purple hoof handed her the electric mixer, which Pinkie slapped away. “You gotta use a spoon, missy! The old-fashioned way is the best way.” Twilight rolled her eyes at her friend’s antics, but on the inside she thought those antics were adorable. Pinkie rummaged through another crystal drawer and found a big wooden spoon. “Found it! Now we mix!” she quickly and furiously mixed the ingredients together, splattering the batter everywhere. By the time she was done, Twilight had batter on her face and hooves while Pinkie remained spotless. “Okay! It’s all done.” The pink mare looked at the pony standing next to her and giggled. “You have batter everywhere. Even on your muzzle! Here let me get that for you.” Pinkie leaned in and licked the batter off. “There all clean.” Twilight blushed. “Pinkie!” Pinkie Pie turned red as well. “Sorry, sorry, sorry! I need to work on personal space and stuff. Mrs. Cake says I can’t go around hugging random ponies but you just looked so cute with the batter on you and the batter looked so good on you I mean—” Pinkie’s incessant blabbering was cut by a lavender hoof on her mouth. Twilight looked straight into Pinkies eyes. They were baby blue like the sky and glittered like diamonds in the sun. Then she kissed Pinkie. Twilight's lips pressed against Pinkie’s soft, cake batter- tasting lips. For the first time since Twilight had known her, Pinkie was completely still. Twilight stepped back, ready to apologize and come up with some excuse. Pinkie simply stepped forward and kissed her in return. Now it was her turn to be shocked. She liked her back! Pulling away, Pinkie grinned. “You silly filly. You should’ve told me sooner! Now how will I have enough time to get all the stuff for the ‘Me and Twilight Finally Got Together ’party tomorrow?” Twilight rolled her eyes. “I think you’ll manage.” Author's Note If you dislike please tell me why so I can work on it The Pinic (FlutterMac) Author's Note Hey! I'm not dead, guys So... yeah it took me forever to get this done Sorry **Also: I'm looking for an editor! I'm sure everyone is rushing to get the job (actually probably not) but still... pweez? The Pinic (FlutterMac) Fluttershy hummed softly, carrying a small picnic basket. She was going to the nearby park to meet up with her friends. They had been so busy all week, she thought it was a great idea to see them. Surprisingly, it was all Rainbow Dash’s idea. A few days ago….. “Come on, Twilight! It’s sooo obvious. I swear every single time she sees him she blushes! They hardly speak to each other but they are definitely in love.” Rainbow said. Twilight brought a hoof to her face. “You don’t have nearly enough evidence to prove this theory! Fluttershy and Mac don’t love each other. She might blush when she sees him because he is an attractive stallion, but she doesn’t love him.” Just as Twilight said this, the shy yellow mare walked in. “Hello Twilight! Hi Rainbow. What were you guys talking about?” Rainbow looked nervous. “Nothing! Just…. about….. a… um picnic! Yeah, a picnic. We should totally have one on, uh, Friday! With all of our friends, you should come!” Fluttershy smiled. “I think that’s a wonderful idea! Is that all you needed me for Twilight?” Twilight frowned. “No—” Dash hit her hoof. “I mean yes!” The mare in front of them looked confused. “Okaaayyy… I’ll just go now. Bye guys!” Rainbow and Twilight waved. The purple alicorn quickly put her hoof down and glared at Rainbow Dash. “Just what are you planning?” Rainbow smiled evilly. “I just had the best idea! So, you know the picnic? We’re going to be there, but not with her. Big Mac will be there too. They will end up there together in a romantic picnic setting and instantly fall in love with each other. We’ll be there to make sure everything goes smoothly!” Twilight thought for a moment. “You know this is going to blow up in your face, right? What has gotten into you? You’ve been spending way too much time around Rarity.” Rainbow Dash scowled. “Are you going to help me or not?” Twilight smirked. “Yeah, I’ll show you how right I am.” Rainbow laughed. “Bring it on!” The butter-colored Pegasus quickened her pace as she trotted through the market. She was late for the picnic by almost five minutes! She desperately hoped her friends weren’t mad. Arriving at the usual picnic spot, she sat down panting. The sky was a brilliant fiery orange and the sun was starting to dip past the horizon. “Oh my, that is quite beautiful” Fluttershy said quietly. A deep voice behind her responded with a hearty “Eeyup.” The shy mare blushed when she realized she had said it out loud. Slowly, she turned around to find Big Macintosh sitting silently near a large oak tree gazing at the sunset. “Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t see you there.” Gasping Fluttershy covered her mouth with a hoof. She had never said anything directly to stranger unless they had spoken to her first or it was “I’m sorry”. Big Mac chuckled. He vaguely remembered this adorable mare from her incident with the Ponytones. The large red stallion sighed and rubbed his eyes. Rainbow Dash had told him that somepony special was going to meet him here and he should really, really go. At the time, he had shrugged and went along with it simply because he had nothing better to do. Now, he was glad he did come. Suddenly his stomach growled loudly. Mac coughed, blushing lightly. He hadn’t had anything since his small lunch hours ago. Fluttershy coughed softly at him and pointed at her picnic basket, hiding her face behind her mane. “W-would you like s-some?” she whispered. Big Mac smiled warmly and nodded. “Thank ya kindly, miss” She felt a little flutter in her stomach. She pushed her mane out of her eyes a little and pushed the basket towards Big Macintosh. By now, she had forgotten all about her friends and their so-called “picnic” Meanwhile, Rainbow and Twilight were hiding on top of the tree, spying on the two ponies underneath. Dash twitched a little, moving the position of her tail. Twilight stifled a scream as Rainbow’s tail was shoved straight into her mouth. Spitting it out, she coughed. “Rainbow! Keep your tail to yourself, it was in my mouth a few seconds ago!” The cyan mare smirked. “Then I’m guessing you had a nice view of my butt?” Twilight blushed, inching away from Rainbow slightly. “No, I was polite enough to NOT look at your ass” Twilight whispered harshly. Rainbow just stuck out her tongue and looked at Big Mac and Fluttershy again. Dash pointed at them and said, “See! They’re head over hooves in love with each other!” The purple alicorn grunted. “Not for long. It’ll fall apart soon enough.” Rainbow smiled cockily, “You wish! I’m always right. Always.” Suddenly Pinkie popped up behind Twilight. “You know what I think? I think you guys should kiss and get it over with.” Rainbow almost fell out of the tree and Twilight muffled a scream. “Pinkie, what the are you doing here?” the pegasus cried after composing herself as much as she could inside the tree. “I’m couple-watching! You guys really helped me hit two birds with one stone. You and Twilight and Fluttershy and Big Mac at the same time! Can you think of anything more exciting?” Pinkie squealed. “Or creepy?” Twilight muttered. Rainbow slapped Pinkie’s head. “We are NOT a couple. Try Rarity and Applejack instead.” Pinkie shook her head. “Nopey! I’m wouldn’t miss an opportunity like this for a million cupcakes” Dash and Twilight groaned, as Big Mac bit carefully into one of Fluttershy’s mozzarella and tomato sandwiches below. “Gee, these are real good Miss.” Mac said smiling. Fluttershy nodded shyly blushing. “Thank you Big Mac. Umm you have a little something…” she pointed at the corner of her mouth. Mac wiped near it but missed. Fluttershy took out a small handkerchief and wiped it away, leaning in a little. After a moment she realized what she was doing and started blushing furiously, backing away quickly. “Oh my goodness! I’m sosososososososo sorry! I’m usually not this forward… I just I just” she blurted, tears gathering in the corner of her eyes. Big Macintosh looked around nervously. What was he supposed to do? He didn’t know how to comfort crying mares! “No it’s alright Miss Fluttershy! There ain’t no reason to get worked up ‘bout it. I don’t mind at’ll” he spoke up. The small yellow mare looked up at him with her huge teal eyes and sniffled. “Really?” Mac chuckled. She was so cute! He resisted the urge to pull her into a hug. Above the two, Rainbow smirked. She motioned for Twilight to pay up. “They totally have the hots for each other. I was right! Was there ever any doubt?” Twilight glared at her, then at Pinkie, handing Rainbow a bag of golden bits. Pinkie stared. “Jeez Twi! You’re loaded…” The purple alicorn closed her eyes, took a deep breath in, and punched Pinkie Pie in the stomach. The pink mare fell out of the tree and landed heavily on Fluttershy’s picnic basket. Rainbow Dash was sprawled out on the tree branch trying to stifle her laughter and Twilight had a troubled, but angry look on her face. Mac and Fluttershy both turned around to see an unconscious pink blob. Rainbow and Twilight both flew down to inspect the damage. Rainbow was gasping, trying to catch her breath after laughing so hard. The princess practically had steam coming out of her eyes. Fluttershy raised her eyebrow, asking for an explanation. The cyan Pegasus smiled sheepishly. “Hey Flutters… I got 50 bits?” she said weakly Twilight zapped her with a blue laser beam. “MOTHERF—”

“MOTHERF—”
