Defeated and imprisoned in the moon for 1,000 years. Celestia finally escapes her prison after the star aided her.

When she comes back Equestria is much different. Under the rule of her corrupted sister(who imprisoned her in the moon in the first place). All must serve her sister or else. Also her sister having a daughter with her old lover. The ponies of Equestria do not remember her or anything before her sister's rebellion. They have been brainwashed and mind controlled by Nightmare Moon.

With Celestia only representing half of the elements. Which is not powerful enough to bring back her sister. The elements(being held by Nightmare Moon)needs to have new element barriers. The element barriers(which destiny has named as the new barriers of the elements)all serve the very pony she is trying to defeat.

Magic being the student of Nightmare Moon.

Laughter being the head cook of her sister's castle.

Loyalty being a member of an elite military team called the ShadowBolts.

Generosity being the royal decorater for Nightmare Moon.

Honesty being a guard of Nightmare Moon.

And Kindness being the castle gardener.

All of the six mares are what destiny is calling them the new heroes of Equestria.

"AHHH!",Celestia shrieked in agony as her own sister blasted her dark magic at her. Celestia's wings stopped keeping her in the air. Gravity took effect she then fell in the large hole in the ceiling of the throne room. Then with a large thud she made contact with the cold floor. Celestia coughed up blood and her left wing was broken. She was insanely wounded from the fall. She could hear her sister cruel laughs and the screams of terrified ponies.

Celestia struggled to get up"I'm sorry sister,but you given me no choice to use THESE!",with a glow of her horn she tried the secret place where elements of harmony were kept. Without warning Celestia was hit again with the blast of magic in her back from her sister again before she could take out the elements. Celestia screamed in agony as it was more painful and did more damage than the first hit.

"Oh how predictable of you sister", Nightmare Moon slowly flew down onto the throne room with a grin showing off her sharp white fangs. The running of soliders were near and they were surrounding Nightmare Moon."STOP THERE GUARDS!"Celestia watched as the guards eyes had became like Nightmare Moon's and they followed her orders

"Lu...Luna please, don't do this,you can still stop!".

"Stop?,I will never stop Celestia,I am the thing that keeps you up at night. The shadow which haunts every corner of your mind. I will never rest and neither will you! Oh,the tables have turned I am no longer in your shadow. I am no longer the lesser and weaker sister. Oh that's you,it's time for a change." Nightmare Moon flew right over to her sister and lifted her up the ground in her brilliant cyan auroa.

"Luna",brokenly said Celestia struggling againist her sister's strong magical grip.

"THERE IS NO LUNA! I know what you were trying to do,since Luna is gone and represented half of the elements. You couldn't defeat me with only half of the elements power. So you were going to banish me to the moon. Well you were so weak and predictable that I stopped you!". Nightmare Moon laughed maniacally. "C'MON EVERYPONY LAUGH AT THIS PATHETIC THING OF A PRINCESS!". Just like that all of the guards that were being controlled by Nightmare Moon were laughing maniacally with her.

"LUNA IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS!",Celestia struggled to get out of her corrupted sister's grip.

"Oh yes,yes it does,I'll be twice the ruler you and mother and father were. Since you were going to imprison me in the moon for me to watch you from above, I'll give you a taste of your own medicine!"Nightmare Moon grinned and with all of her magic her horn's glow intensified she then aimed the spell at Celestia.

"NO LUNA NOOOOOO!",Celestia shrieked and struggled the magic that came over her body,the pain was intense. Then everything went black Celestia's senses were gone. As well as herself and the magic blast settled down.

"HA-HA YES I DID IT!",Nightmare Moon continued hysterically laugh due to accomplishment. She glanced at her moon,grinning she saw the image of Celestia in the moon. To think that would of been her.

Nightmare Moon could hear panicked subjects wondering about what happened."Oh what a mess of this place!". With a magic blast through the castle it had gotten to it's former glory,but it rid of anything that wasn't with the moon.

The captain of the guard Sir Blueblood approached Nightmare Moon"What shall we do your majesty?"

"Oh I know exactly what to do Sir Blueblood!", Nightmare Moon flew up high in the sky. Ponies shrieked in fear as they saw the pony who was responsible for the moon covering the sun and Princess Celestia in the moon.

Nightmare Moon's horn glowed and a electric brilliant cyan wave of magic flowed quick as a flash. All the ponies of Equestrian stopped whatever they were doing. The ponies of Equestria were going to mind controlled by Nightmare Moon.

"CITZENS OF EQUESTRIA!",said Nightmare Moon using the royal Canterlot voice."WE ARE NOW IN POWER EQUESTRIA IS NOW IN GRAND ERA CALLED THE NEW LUNAR REPUBLIC! NOW TO RID THOSE TERRIBLE MEMOIRIES MY SISTER THAT PITIFUL PRINCESS BEVER EXISTED! SHE IS THE MARE IN THE MOON A PONY WHO IS A THREAT TO EQUESTRTIA HOLDING US BACK! I HAVE ALWAYS RULED AND EVERYTHING BEFORE THOU IS TO RID THOSE MEMOIRIES! THE SUN HAS NEVER EXISTED EVER!"

Nightmare Moon's horn stopped glowing as the spell was already in effect. She wanted Equestrians to believe in what she wanted."GUARDS!",Nightmare Moon still using the Canterlot voice said"COLLECT EVERYTHING THAT THREATENS THOU RULE!"

"YES PRINCESS!"said the guards in unison. The guards then ran to to do their mission given to from their new leader.

Nightmare Moon felt the warmth of the fire that was burning everything that had a connection to anything that had a connection to to before her rule. Her armor off and only wearing a dark purple robe. She could see why Celestia had fallen in love with Sir Blueblood. Same with every mare in Equestria after that little passionate love making with him.

Nightmare Moon had kept some things before her rule like some of Starswirl's scrolls. He had also fallen under her mind control spell she had stolen the scrolls that had anything to do before her rule with him not even knowing.

His research could be helpful to her,but it did have a lot of remnants of Equestria before her. So she had to keep the research mentioning anything before her rule hidden. Maybe she'll take a page from Celestia's book and have an apprentice to do her work.

"Oh my sister,how could I be so stupid,it should of been you YOU MONSTER!"

"Me?,you mean us,remember I am you Luna.You aren't stupid if it weren't for you we would of never rose in power and overthrow Celestia. You let me into your mind you're weak,pathetic and you need me and I will make Equestria better."

"HOW DARE YOU!You LITTLE!-"

"Quit your whining you know I'm right don't you forget I am a part of you,your envy and I'm in control now.Celestia took everything from us, so now I'll take everything from Celestia! As for you begone!"

Luna,what ever was left of her was silenced and stored in the the very back of her mind unable to get out.
