A beautiful, dark blue alicorn happily flew through a light blue magical mist high in the lavender night sky. The stars above twinkled as hundreds upon thousands of beds floated in mid air above the clouds. Upon each bed was a pony, whom were fast asleep. The wind somehow had not shifted their thick and warm blankets in any way.

The look of horror upon her face was replaced with a look of pure rage, her teeth baring and eyes narrowed to pin pricks There came a flash, followed by a helmet materializing upon her head.
"We shall have the greatest butt in all of Equestria. Celestia’s butt shall fall! All shall love me and despair!” she boomed in a sinister, deep voice. Lost was the sweet angelic voice that once was Luna’s.
Luna opened her eyes, said eyes narrowed angrily upon seeing a poster of the flag of Equestria, showcasing a small dark blue sphere upon the left side, next to a much bigger white sphere to the right.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGHHHH!!!!!!!" she roared in pure rage, destroying the poster by blasting a massive hole in the wall with a bright blue particle beam from her horn.
With that Luna stormed out of bed, trotting through the hole in the wall over the melted stone beneath her. The guards along the hall did do nothing but stay quiet and piss themselves in fear as the enraged alicorn walked past them.
Elsewhere Princess Celestia herself was fast asleep upon her red love heart shaped bed.
"Mmm! Butt fattening cake," she moaned in her sleep."
Suddenly, there came a loud banging sound upon her door. With a groan, Celestia slowly open her eyes.
"Oh, what is it Luna?" Celestia groaned, stumbling out of bed, before she slowly made her way to the door. "This better be important."
When Celestia opened the door with a flick of her magic, she gasped in shock upon seeing how different Luna looked.
"Luna? Is that you?" she said, dumbfounded.
"I am not Luna! I am Nightmare Moon!" she boomed, her voice blasting into Celestia’s face like a galeforce wind, causing her flowing mane to fly wildly about.
"Ow! My ears!" she shouted, before she shouted even louder in her mighty alicorn voice. "There’s no need to be so loud!" she boomed back, causing the dark alicorn’s mane to flow wildly about in return.
"There can only be one princess in Equestria! And that princess will be me!, she roared, stomping her hooves. Her super alicorn strength caused the floor to crack beneath her.
"Luna, what has made you so upset?" she said in a low, soft voice.
"Your butt! Our small, bony thin butt can’t ever hope to compete against thy much bigger and fatter butt!" her horn pulsed with power as she grinded her teeth together. "And that is why I must destroy you!"
With that Luna blasted a powerful beam of magic at her. Fortunately, Celestia quickly managed to summon a golden, sphere shaped shield around her body.
"What has happened to you?! Who said your butt was bony thin? Your beautiful butt is so big and fat!" she shouted in panic.
"LIES!" she boomed. "Did you really expect me to sit idly by while they all basked in your glorious big fat butt?"
"Butt Luna, many ponies love your butt too and--
"Only very few! Most of which worship thy royal fat pony butt! Not mine!" she angrily retorted with a harsh glare.
"Whatever darkness has consumed you, please fight it! I don’t want to fight you! Is there anything I can do to help cheer you up?! Like force Shining Armorer Sparkle to agree to a threesome or something?!" she shouted, looking at her with pleading doggy eyes.
"It is too late for that!" she boomed, blasting another beam of magic at her magic shield, small cracks forming upon it.

With that Celestia’s horn lit up with golden light. There came a flash and magical jewels floated around her body.
"I would cure you of your insanity! But the Elements of Harmony only allow me to banish you to the moon as a single user!" she shouted, her body flashing with rainbow light.
"Noooooooooooooo!" Nightmare Moon screamed, kicking her legs in the air as she was blasted by rainbows.
"See you in a thousand years," she said in a low voice, tears flowing down her cheeks.
‘Note to self. Write in the history books that the event was about her going crazy about the night not being long enough or something. The truth would be too embarrassing for Luna,’ came her thoughts.
And that was the true reason Luna became Nightmare Moon.
