Chapter 1 (V2)

Applejack went back to the barn to get some much needed rest after bucking trees for the whole morning. Sure, she took a few breaks but those were five minutes at most. As she was on the way back to the barn, she heard somepony shouting.

"What!? Why!?" That was Rainbow Dash and Applejack was sure of it. She have been hearing that voice for years and since her brother and Rainbow having been dating, she have been hearing that voice even more often.

"Rainbow Dash, I'm sorry." This time, it was Big Mac who spoke. He have been speaking way more since he started dating.

Applejack opened the door and saw the two ponies. "What's wrong, y'all?" She asked.

Rainbow Dash turned her head and saw Applejack. She seemed to be really desperate. "Applejack, just the pony I wanted to see!" She quickly pushed Applejack towards Big Mac. "Your brother said he wants to break up with me!"

"What!?" Applejack couldn't believe it. "Mac, did ya really said that!?"

"Eeyup."

"Why!?"

"I want to move to Fillydelphia." Applejack blinked.

"Ah'm sorry, could you repeat that?"

"Filthy Rich came over today. Said that there's a big piece of land there that's perfect for growing more apples for sale."

Sure, Applejack loved apples, but she would never make her family move away for it. "Horseapples! We already have enough apples here! Heck, sometimes, we can't even finish bucking of 'em!"

"My point exactly." Rainbow Dash agreed.

"My mind have been made." Big Mac said firmly. Rainbow Dash was both angry and sad at the same time.

"Well, if it's a break up, you want, it's a break up you'll get! Why don't you go date your bucking apples!?" She shouted before she flew out of the barn, tears in her eyes.

Applejack wanted to chase her but she had somepony she needed to talk to first. She looked back at her brother, who was walking to his room.

"Wait, Mac, we need to talk!" She didn't get an answer; Big Mac slammed his door shut. Applejack thought that it would be best for her to give his brother some time alone and reflect on what he have done. If he don't seemed to be sad at all, she would give him the lecture of his life.

It have been a few hours since the fight happened and Applejack thought that she have given his brother enough time.

Applejack knocked on the door. "Hey, Mac, we need to talk and you better open the door or I'll buck it open." Soon enough, Big Mac opened his door. Not sure of what to say, he kept quiet and sat on his bed.

Applejack could tell that he had been crying by his bloodshot eyes and the wet part of his bed.

"Hey, Mac." Applejack said, trying to make conversation but Big Mac didn't respond. Since that didn't work, Applejack thought it would just be best to just talk about the elephant in the room. "Why do ya want to move away anyway? Ya never said anything about that." She sat down next to her brother.

He sighed and raised his head to look at his sister. "It's not like I really want to move away and break up with her."

Applejack looked at him weird. "Then what did ya do that!?"

"I-I'm scared that I'm slowing her down. I'm afraid that she will have to give up her dreams of being a Wonderbolt for me. I'm just a normal earth pony who is not worth her giving her dreams up for."

"Ya know that isn't true. Rainbow Dash loves ya, Mac. She's probably cry her heart out right now."

Big Mac knew that was probably true but it's for the greater good. "Applejack, I have made my mind up and that's the end of that."

Before she could do anything, Big Mac pushed his sister out. "I'll be going tomorrow. Filthy already arranged everything."

"But, Ma-" The door was slammed shut. Applejack had no choice but to leave. Since she couldn't get her brother to chabge his mind, maybe she could get another pony to change her.

"Fluttershy, open the door! I know Rainbow's in there with ya!" Applejack shouted as she knocked on the door. She continued to knock for a while before Fluttershy opened the door.

"Oh, um, hi, Applejack."

"Hi, Fluttershy. I know Rainbow Dash's in here, can I talk to her? Fluttershy nodded.

"Oh, um, at least I so. I'll show you the way." Thus, Applejack followed Fluttershy upstairs. Once upstairs, Applejack saw Rainbow Dash on Futtershy's bed, asleep.

"Oh, um, she must have fallen asleep while I was downstairs."

Applejack smiled at her. "It's alright. Come on, let's go back downstairs. We shouldn't interrupt her. Especially after what happened today."

Once downstairs, the pair sat on the couch. "So, um, exactly what happened this afternoon? Rainbow Dash came here a few hours ago, crying. She wouldn't tell me what happened. Um, if you don't mind me asking." Fluttershy asked.

"Not at all, sugarcube. Well, here's what happened..."

"After Big Mac slammed the door, Ah asked around and Ah found out Rainbow's here. Well, that's about it." Applejack explained.

"Oh, my."

"Well, Fluttershy, what do ya think about all this?"

"Oh, um, uh, I can understand why he did it but I don't think he should have done it. I've never seen Rainbow Dash cry so much. Not even when Tank had to hibernate." Fluttershy said.

Applejack sighed. "I agree. What do you think I should do?"

"You should have woke me up and told me that." The two ponies quickly turned their heads to see Rainbow Dash on the stairs.

"Rainbow Dash! How much did ya hear?"

"I heard enough to know what's going on. I'm going to talk to that big doofus now." Rainbow Dash said before she lifted herself into the skies.

"Wait, Rainbow-" Applejack didn't get to finish her sentence as Rainbow Dash zoomed through the door, to the skies.

"Oh, I hope it turns out well for them."

"Me too, Fluttershy. Me too." Applejack agreed.

A few minutes later, Rainbow Dash arrived at Sweet Apple Acres. She immediately flew into the barn, in front of Big Mac's room. "Open up, I know everything!" She resisted the thought of just kicking the door open for a while before her impatience got the better of her. The door came down pretty quickly and Rainbow Dash went in as quick as her could, which was very fast.

In the room, Big Mac, looked at the door in shock as in came crashing down. He looked up to see his former marefriend.

"So, um, sorry about the door." Rainbow Dash gave an sheepish smile. Big Mac looked at her.

"Nevermind about the door. What are you doing here?"

"Applejack told me everything. Or, um, rather, I heard everything." Big Mac made a mental note not to tell Applejack anything next time.

"Then, you know why I have to break up with you."

"Except that it doesn't make any sense." Big Mac gave her a look that seemed to tell her that he was confused and for her to go on. "Well, you see, I'm already in the Wonderbolts!"

Big Mac blinked. "You are? Since when?"

"Yup. I just received a letter this morning to inform that I'm one! The uniform should arrive by the weekend. "

Big Mac had a huge smile on his face. "I'm so happy for you!" He wrapped his hoofs around Rainbow Dash before he remembered they weren't a couple anymore. He quickly removed them.

Rainbow smirked. "Well, how do you feel about staying in Ponyville and taking me on another date?"
