We all deal with it. It's what makes us human.
Pets. Everyone knows what they are. Everyone wants one at some point. But when you have a pet there is the inevitable outcome. They will die before you. Here is a story about that.
"Here Angel!" Said the old mare, Fluttershy. There was no response to her call. Fluttershy thought to herself,"Has his time finally come? His he gone to frolic in the gardens of heaven?" Fluttershy went over to Angel's current position. He was still breathing softly. Just barely but still going. "Oh phew!"
One week later.
"Oh dear! Do we have to put him down? I mean you are the doctor, but I want to stay with him!"
"Miss, there is nothing we can do. The only option is to put him down. It's the only way that he will not suffer. Because as they say, nothing lasts forever. Within a billion years our sun will be gone, even Celestia and Luna dead."Said the Veterinarian.
"But my little Angel! I've spent most of my life caring for him! I've lost nearly all my friends over time! Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, ad Pinkie Pie. All that is left is Twilight. But she is of in Canterlot and has probably forgotten about me."
"Miss I'm sorry this is the most humane way. Do you want him to suffer?"
"No."
"Ok then. Well, I'll give you time to say goodbye."
"Thank you sir!"
"No problem."
"Oh, Angel bunny! I was so worried that I would never see you awake again!"
*Nose twitches*
"Yes Angel you can have a carrot. Now we are just going to put you to sleep. You are going to sleep for a long time, but when you wake up everything will be ok. I just wanted to say goodnight, a-a-a-nd I love you!"
Fluttershy then hugged her pet bunny for the last time, and for once he hugged back.
