The EveryManHYBRID Crew In Equestria
Enter The Hybrids
Load Full StoryIt was just another fine day in the magical land of Equestria. A peaceful tranquillity hovered across the land like a warm blanket. Birds chirped cheerily. Small animals frolicked about at the edge of forests. And three figures lay unconscious on a dirt road than ran through a small section of woods. They each appeared to be around twenty years of age, perhaps just out of college.
One wore a blue checkered shirt and glasses. He also had a beard and thick black hair. This was Vincent Caffarello, or Vinny Everyman as he was known to his friends and many thousands of YouTube viewers. He was the leader of the trio that had somehow magically appeared in this magical land.
To his right was a young-looking male wearing a black shirt with a white skull image on it, and violently torn jeans. He had no beard or glasses but his hair was dark brown and smooth, like Justin Bieber before he tried to be cool (and failed miserably). He was Evan Jennings, an unpredictable, knife-obsessed (yet charming) horror-movie fan who sometimes got possessed by a demonic entity known only as HABIT.
And on the left was the final figure was that of a man who was aged somewhere between Vincent and Evan, or so it would appear. He wore a grey striped hoodie and a murky swamp green beanie to cover his dark curly hair. This was Jeffrey Koval, or Jeff, who had been brutally tortured and murdered by an inHABITed Evan. And for some reason, he was back from the dead.
Together these three males were the YouTube fitness/supernatural survivalist group EveryManHYBRID! Together, no wall could stop them! No entities could scare them! No s-
"OH HOLY SHIT!" Evan exclaimed loudly, jumping up from the ground. The other two also suddenly woke up, startled by Evan's outburst.
"Vinny?" Jeff said, shocked.
"Jeff?" Vinny said, even more shocked. "Is that you?"
"Yeah, I gue-" Jeff was cut off by Evan violently hugging him.
"Jeff, I am so sorry," Evan sobbed. "For everything."
"Evan, it wasn't your fault," Vinny said, walking up to the hugging bros. "Anyway, where are we?"
Evan and Jeff stopped hugging and shrugged. Finding themselves in weird unfamiliar places was a normality for them. But this place had a strange feel to it. It was dream-like, bright and colourful. It was as if the sugar-coated metaphor had magically come to life.
"This place is really strange," Jeff said.
"How so?" Vinny asked.
"It just feels unnaturally... friendly." Jeff explained. "Like if I went up to Baldpate Mountain and lit a blunt."
"And the birds are smiling," Evan added, almost laughing.
"Come on man, that's..." Vincent's voice trailed off as he caught sight of several neon birds smiling warmly at them. Jeff let out a small chuckle. "Wow. That's something you don't see every day."
Evan let out a small laugh as he walked round the small clearing they were in, kicking at rocks. "So now what?"
"Follow the path?" Vincent suggested. He was usually the most logical and calm of the group, so his choice wasn't exactly unexpected.
"But which way?" Jeff asked.
Vincent looked down the path in both directions. "That way. I can see a town. Maybe they can tell us where we are."
"What if they're French or some shit?" Evan asked with a slight tone of mockery in his voice.
"Then we'll find some tourists?" Jeff suggested.
Vinny looked at Jeff with mild surprise. Jeff wasn't usually one to come up with good ideas, but when he did, they were worth listening to. This one wasn't.
"Jeff?"
"Yeah?"
"That's a terrible idea."
Evan burst out laughing.
Meanwhile, Twilight Sparkle was having tea with Fluttershy at her cottage. They talked casually and exchanged pleasantries. Nothing much happened, but just as Twilight left, Fluttershy burst out of the door in such a flurry that Twilight whirled round almost instantly.
"Fluttershy, what's wrong?" she asked, worried.
"ANGELS BUNNY'S MISSING!" she screamed, piercing the ears of every living thing within several hundred metres.
Twilight let out a gasp.
"Hey," said Jeff, suddenly stopping. "Did you hear that?"
"Yeah, I think so," answered Vincent. "What about you, Ev-"
"Holy shit guys!" Evan said, waving his arms around the protect the group. He had been leading the way, cautiously brandishing his machete which had been attached to his pants as it usually was.
"Jesus Evan," Jeff complained, his arm almost having been sliced off by Evan's careless machete swinging.
"What is it?" Vincent asked.
Evan pointed ahead, using his blade as a pointer. A large colourful village was less than one hundred feet away from them. All the houses were mostly made out of straw, wooden planks, clay and stones. But instead of people walking around the town, there were many small multi-coloured horses, all of them different colours of the rainbow, and some in-between.
"Isn't that, like, that cartoon show?" Jeff asked, rubbing his eyes to make sure he wasn't seeing things. "That one that keeps popping up online?"
"Looks like it," Vincent agreed.
Although not familiar with the show itself, the crew were extremely well-versed in internet culture.
"But that's impossible!" argued Jeff.
"Yeah, well you being alive you be impossible," Evan pointed out, using his machete as a pointer again and causing Jeff to back away slightly. "And so is Slenderman. But both of those things happened."
"So, what? Do we just walk up to them?" Jeff turned to Vinny.
"Sure," he shrugged.
"Dude," Evan said. "Are you fucking serious?"
