Prolouge: Preparations for the Celebration
Hello, my name is Doctor Vohr T. Tex. I am not what you would call "Normal". In fact, I'm just as far from normal than the earth is from Equis. I'm from a planet called Halcandra. As a Vortex Master, it is my job to search the Multiverse for any Negative Energy that could come from the Negaverse.
So, where to begin.........how about the time of when I discovered the Negative Forces. It was around 990 years ago, though it seems a lot longer when I time traveled to the 995th year of the Monarch Period. I was a simple fellow, one who would always listen and do what he was supposed to. I learned a lot quicker than other Halcandreans. As a result, I ended up with my current job of Archeologist. I study artifacts from many years ago and learned a lot from them. However, this came at a price. The knowledge of the Great Naga.
After some studying, I came to find out more about Naga. A ruthless tyrant who only wanted the land to be covered in darkness. Not just because he wants to, but because he wants to use the overpower the Celestial Star, an infinite source of light, capable of many things. He nearly succeeded, when a mysterious figure appeared. His name was Sol. He challenged Naga to a duel, and unsheathed his sword, LightBender. Naga did the same with his sword, ShadowDeath. The two fought many battles until, one day, during a match, they both collapsed due to exhaustion from fighting for so many years. With his final breath, Sol managed to seal Naga in the infamous mirror of Yami.
Now, you might be asking "What does this have to do with you and MLP?" Well, I am Sol's grandson. And I am also currently standing in Equestria.
Since I was filled to the brim with curiosity, I looked upon an ancient tome filled with predictions. It seems that, on the day that the "Princess of Darkness" was banished to her own domain, Naga would reawaken. Sure enough, when I was studying a planet called Equis, their Moon Princess, Luna, was banished to the moon. Shortly after, Naga came upon Halcandra, complete with his entire army.
The war waged on for 100 years. Many lives were lost to the darkness. However, one day, we succeeded. The citizens rejoiced at the defeat of Naga. Yet, there was still a passage in the prophecy that I read, saying that he will get more power when the Lunar Princess returns to the world of light. Not wasting time, I gathered all of the important things I needed for the trip to Equis, made a ship out of ship parts and coated in Halcandrean gold (which is quite strong, I might add), and set off for Equestria.
I had a couple of adventures with a few friends from different worlds. After those adventures, I finally managed to get some Time crystals, pure time essence crystalized. After being infused with a Halcandrean vessel, it can enable it to travel through time. As such, I entered the fabled Vortex. And traveled to the 995th year of the Monarch Period.
---999 YEARS LATER---
After a rude awakening from my alarm clock, I opened the hatch of my ship. Looking around, I came to notice that Canterlot looks a bit busier than usual. The townsfo-ponies were running around getting stuff ready for what look to be some kind of big event. The train station also looks more crowded, which is odd, considering that I never thought Canterlot's train system could be more crowded than it usually is.
I stepped back into the ship and recollected my thoughts. Wasn't there supposed to be a big event today? Curious, I looked at the computer's databanks for "BIG EVENTS" regarding Equestria. Today was the Summer Sun Celebration, on the 1,000th year of the Monarch Period. Hmm...something seems familiar about that date. Then it struck me. I was here for this one event.
Without hesitation, I put on my suit. It was a bit out of place, but it served well to keep me hidden amongst the ponies. My suit was a red jacket with a black vest, red pants with white shoes, and finally, a white necktie, a gift from an old friend. My form looks homo sapien, but I was not a human. Still, it would look awkward in another world where aliens existed. So to compromise, before I left Halcandra, I built a device called a Metamorphosizer. It can change my shape into whatever the native life form is on the planet I am currently on.
I put on the watch and gave it a tap. The face turned blue and showed me a screen saying "Do you wish to transform into form code 101010?" I pushed yes and it grew brighter. I felt my bones shifting and fusing. The crack of my spine as it reforms into an Equine backside. The spurt of hair coming from said spine to form a nice tail. It was painless, in fact, it kind of tickles. Eventually, I was finished.
Where there once stood a Halcandrean with orange hair, now there was a pony with orange hair. I still had legs (even though there was an extra pair), a face, the suit, and the blue markings on my body. The markings pulsate faintly. Even though they would be hard to miss, only I can see them. And the most Important things are the two appendages on my back. I was a Pegasus, as usual.
After a couple of preparations, I set off with my most important possession, the Halcandria Hystoria. An ancient tome filled with prophecies and secrets of the Multiverse. None knew who authored the book, but those who possessed it were to be cursed, unless you had the power of the Vortex. What does that mean? Don't know, just got the book to find out about Naga.
After I was all set, I reopened the hatch and jumped out. I headed for the train station and looked at the board which explains the places that the train will leave for. It said "4:00 AM-Ponyville." I remember somepony saying that the Summer Sun Celebration taking place at Ponyville. So, it's decided. Off to Ponyville. HERE COMES THE DOC!!!
