Meeting a hot pink alicorn of love, and a spoiled white, unicorn

Previous Chapter

The next day, ten minutes before Celestia was supposed to raise the sun, Matthew woke up and smelled something good coming from the dining room. So he crawled out of bed to find out what it was. Joseph noticed this but however he still snuggled with Celestia to keep warm. While Matthew was crawling down the halls, he encountered a hot pink teenage alicorn with magenta, and white cream hair, and who had a crystal heart Cutiemark. Her name was Cadence.

“Well hello there little fella! Woke up early like I did huh?” said Cadence as she wrapped up Matthew into a bear hug. Matthew started to get a little sleepy from the soft fur, but snapped out of it when he saw that Celestia was coming out of her room with Joseph on her back after raising the sun.

“Well, I see you met one of my sons.” said Celestia while walking towards Cadence with a grin on her face. “If these are your sons… Then that means…” said Cadence before making a gasp. “I’m going to be a cousin!!” said Cadence excitedly and happily while hugging Matthew too tight. “Whoops. Sorry.” said Cadence as she gently placed Matthew back on the ground and blushed a little bit.

Joseph started to smell the same scent Matthew smelled in Celestia’s bedroom, and it smelled delicious. Joseph crawled, and crawled, and crawled to find out where that delicious scent was coming from. As he was crawling he bumped into a white coated unicorn who is a colt with golden hair.

“Sweet Auntie Celestia!! What in auntie’s name is that!? Guards! Guards! Unidentified species in here!” screamed the panicking colt.

“Blueblood! Stop! What are you doing?!” yelled out Princess Celestia. “I found these two odd looking species on my way to the bathroom. Shall the guards dispose of them?” asked Blueblood. “No! They’re humans and they’re my two new sons!” answered Celestia. “You mean I’m going to be a step cousin to those infernal looking species?!” asked Blueblood in a frightening tone. “Yes you are. Why don’t you try introducing yourself again while I tell the guards what you said was a false alarm?” asked Celestia. “Fine.” Said Blueblood with a sigh.

As Princess Celestia went to tell the guards it was a false alarm, Blueblood looked at the two humans with a disgusted face. Joseph giggled at the face thinking it was funny. “Well…Maybe these so called humans aren’t as bad as the books said they were.” said Blueblood as he was patting Matthew’s forehead in a nervous way. Joseph and Matthew started to smell that delicious scent AGAIN so the two toddlers crawled and crawled until they entered the dining room…

Matthew decided to stay put and wait for someone to seat him. Joseph got a little impatient and climbed to the table only to find out that the delicious scent that they smelled was oatmeal. Joseph dunked his head into the oatmeal face first and enjoyed his oatmeal lovingly. Joseph didn’t know what this stuff was since he was only 4 or 5 days old so, eating new things were like an adventure to him.

“Mmm! This stuff is good! I wonder what the name is! Hmm… Well… It looks goopy, it’s brown, and it’s delicious! I know! I’ll call this stuff Yum Yum goop!” thought Joseph in his head since he couldn’t talk. After Joseph ate all the oatmeal, Cadence, Celestia, and Matthew came in and noticed Joseph was a little messy since some oatmeal was covered in him. Celestia couldn’t help but grin, and then she called one of her guards, Shiny Spear.

“Yes Princess? Asked Shiny Spear. “May you clean up this child up for me, Please?” asked Celestia. “Sure thing, Princess” said Shiny Spear as he put the oatmeal covered infant on his back and teleported to the bathroom to wash him up. “So, what are their names, Aunt Celestia?” asked Cadence. “Now that you mention it I haven’t really put it into thought.” answered Celestia.

When Matthew noticed what was going on, he got out a sheet of paper, and a pencil, and started writing on it. Thanks to his excellent intelligence for an infant, he wrote what his and Joseph’s names were and showed it to the two alicorns. They were surprised to see that Matthew was smart enough to write his name on a sheet of paper, let alone have perfect handwriting!

“So I take it, His name is Matthew, the other’s is Joseph?” asked Cadence. “So it seems.” answered Celestia. “I must admit, these humans aren’t very creative with naming their kids.” added Cadence. “Some people just like naming their kids normal names, my dear niece.” said Celestia.

The rest of the day went nice and smooth, Tomorrow was going to be a day the two toddlers are going to get used to.
