Oak The Shadow Dragon (Rewrite)
Awaken, my child.
"Muh?" I asked dumbly, too tired to sound smart. The voice sounded really nice and sweet and motherly.
Rise and shine.
I said nothing.
Wake up.
"Nah. Don' wanna," I said.
w-what?! WHAT?
"I said I don' wanna," I said. The voice started to get angry.
There is a battle you must fight! A role you must fulfil!
"Nah." I said.
You listen here, you little drake! You wake up RIGHT NOW, OR I WILL BEAT THE PLOP OUT OF YOU!
"Maybe later," I said happily.
DEEEEUUUUUUAAAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHH!!! WHY MUST THE FATE OF THE UNIVERSE ALWAYS REST IN THE HANDS OF AN IDIOT?!
I giggled. I had no idea why. But... annoying people was fun. Especially creepy disembodied voices. And I wasn't really an idiot. Everyone just thought I was, so I let them believe what they want while hurting them for it and having fun. They got even angrier if their hurtful words couldn't change you or make you feel bad. It reminded them how powerless and pathetic they really were.
Something hit my head, and I woke up.
I looked around in confusion, and saw an apple bounce away from my head. It was red and beautiful, and I felt hungry. I was on the ground, and a bunch of trees was around me. This wasn't my home. I felt confused about that.
"Howdy," A happy orange pony with a brown hat and green eyes said with an American voice. "A'm Applejack,"
"And I'm Apple Bloom!" A smaller yellow pony with a red mane said next to her. Her accent was even more American. I decided not to bother with writing down how she sounded. I felt confused as I tried to understand what she said.
"Oh," I said. I looked down, and saw myself. I was black, and had really long purple hair in spikes. I looked at my body, and saw hooves. Like a pony.
"Oh," I said. "That's weird,"
"What is?" She asked.
I laughed. "I'm a pony!" I said happily. "I'm a super adorable cute pony!"
"Uh..," Applejack said. She felt surprised.
"Brush my mane!" I said as I pointed my head to hers.
She stumbled back and tripped, her hoof grabbing my head. We landed on top of each other, and I accidentally kissed her.
"Eeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwww!" Apple Bloom shouted.
Applejack got angry as she looked at me in shock. Nopony had ever kissed her before! She angrily punched me in the face. "YOOOU IDIIOOOOOT!" She yelled, and hit me.
My head and neck flew back like it was gum, and then snapped back, flying to earth and hitting her in the head.
We accidentally kissed face-first, to her surprise.
"Woah! I'm stretchy!" I realized, throwing my arm at a tree and grabbing it, flying over it. "Wahooooooooooo!"
"This is so weird," Applejack said.
I threw my head at a tree and ate an apple, in the air, eating it whole.
"Hey! Stop eating ma apples!" Applejack yelled.
I looked at her in surprise, and then I grinned and ate more. "Shishishishi!" I laughed.
"Stop it!" Applejack yelled, running at him. I laughed and ran away, and she chased me as I jumped down and we ran in circles.
"Hey, if you don't mind my asking, what does that Cutie Mark mean?" Apple Bloom asked, pointing at my butt.
Confused, I looked at my butt, and saw that my pony butt had three Sharingan on it, purple ones.
I stopped and looked at their butts, and Applejack had a picture of three red apples on it, and Apple Bloom had a shield thingy.
Applejack almost caught me, and I yelled in her face. "WHAT ARE THOOOOOOSE?" I yelled.
"A cutie mark. It's what adult ponies have that tells them their destiny, but... I don't know what those swirly things mean," Applejack said, surprised that he shouted.
"Me either," I admitted.
"Wait, what? How can you not know what your Cutie Mark means?" Applejack asked.
"I don't know," I said.
"Alright, what's your name?" Applejack asked. She felt curious.
"I don't know," I said.
"Wait, sis, I've red about this!" Apple Bloom said. "It's called amnesia!"
"It's called a load of Pegasus dung," Applejack said angrily. She felt like she didn't believe him at all.
"Sis, we can't just leave him here! It ain't safe for amnesia ponies to be on their own!" Apple Bloom said.
"Well, whadya suppose we do?" Applejack asked.
"Twilight know fur sure!" Apple Bloom said.
"I don't like Twilight," I said, remembering something.
"You remembered something!" Apple Bloom said happily, spinning.
"Why the hay not?" Applejack asked. She felt angry.
"I don't know... I just don't like it," I said.
"Her," AJ said.
"Huh? No, it's a thing I don't like. Is there a girl with the same name?"
"What's a girl?" Applejack asked.
"I don't know," I said.
"Well... Whadya we call you?" Applejack asked.
"I don't know. Can you name me?" I asked.
Applejack looked at the tree closest to me. "Oak," She said, because it was an oak tree.
"That's a nice name," I said. And now that I had a name... "HEEEEYYYYYYYYYYYY! Can I have a hat like yours?" Oak asked.
"No! This was my dad's hat," Applejack said.
"Ok. Can he give me one too?" Oak asked.
"...No," Applejack said sadly. She looked at the floor sadly.
"Why not?" Oak asked.
"Because he's dead!" Applejack yelled.
Oak hugged her tight enough to start choking. "That's so sad!" He yelled, tears pouring from his eyes.
Applejack struggled to get him off, but finally got him off.
"You want a hat so much?" Applejack asked. She went to her barn and got some straw, making it a hat. She put her red ribbon around it, and gave it to him. "Here" she said.
Oak's eyes sparkled and cried, and he hugged her more as he put the hat on.
Applejack struggled to get him off, but finally got him off.
"Are we going to Twilight now?" Oak asked.
"Sure!" Applejack said angrily, and we walked to Twilight's giant castle.
"Woah, it's so big!" I gasped. "That's what she said," I added.
"Who?" Applejack asked. She felt confused.
"Nobody, it's just a dumb joke from back home" Oak said, and he gasped. "HEY, I REMEMBERED SOMETHING! That joke!"
"Yay!" Apple Bloom said. "All we have to do is keep making you look at stuff, and you'll have your memory back in no time!"
"Awesome!" Oak yelled.
We hoofbumped happily. But Applejack rolled her eyes.
Applejack knocked the door, and a beautiful purple pony with giant wings and a horn came down. As soon as Oak saw her, Oak knew he was in love. Big purple love-hearts appeared in his eyes, and he drooled a little.
"Hey, everypony. Who's this?" Twilight asked, trying not to stare.
"Would you please be my girlfriend?" Oak asked confidently, because he wasn't scared or lame at all.
"Um..." Twilight said. She was surprised at how confident he was. "M-maybe later?" She said.
Oak gasped. "YYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"
"That's a good cheer!" Rainbow Dash said. She wasn't there, she was on a cloud in Ponyville. He was just really really loud.
"This is a pony that lost his memory, we're calling him Oak," Applejack said. "We're hopin yall could share some light on the situation,"
"Well, sure. What can you remember?" Twilight asked, going into her house and getting some books with her magic.
"I can't remember anything. Except for a weird joke. And I can... See things," Oak admitted.
"See things?" Twilight asked.
"Yeah, like how far you can move, how strong your magic is, and more, if I apply myself. Like how you did that psychic thing..," Oak said, copying it, a purple glow forming around my eyes because I didn't have a horn.
"What?!" Twilight shouted, confused. "That is not possible! How is that possible?!"
"I don't know. It just is," Oak shrugged. He didn't feel scared at all, he was too cool for that.
"He has a weird Cutie Mark, too!" Apple Bloom said.
"A weird Cutie Mark?" Twilight asked. She felt excited and scientifically curious. "Can I see?"
"Ok," Oak said, showing her his flanks.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!" Twilight yelled when she saw his weird Cutie Mark.
"Come on, it isn't that big," Oak said. He laughed and fell down.
"Twilight?" Applejack asked.
Twilight shot Oak with a purple beam from her horn, pushing him out of the castle and back through a house.
"Twilight, what's gotten into you?" Applejack asked.
"Don't you recognize that symbol?!" Twilight asked.
"No," Applejack said. She didn't recognize it at all! She felt confused. That symbol wasn't something she recognized, not even a little, and it made her mind come up with a blank.
"Ow!" Oak said, getting up. "That hurt!"
"Wait... Why isn't he fighting back? Or on fire?" Twilight asked. She felt confused. This wasn't a thing her books said would happen. This was confusing.
"Why did you shoot me?" Oak shouted.
"I read a book about monsters like that, with that symbol on them! They're not real ponies!" Twilight declared, shouting loudly. "You're monsters, in disguise!"
Her horn glowed, and a big ball of magic charged up on the tip of her horn, and then it became a big laser that shot him.
"Twilight, he's lost his memory!" Applejack said.
"But... But he's evil! He's a monster!" Twilight yelled. She felt angry. And also sad, because she wanted to kill the monster and make Celestia proud.
"I'm... a monster?" I asked, surprised, as I got up.
"Don't listen to her!" Applejack yelled. "Twilight, does this pony seem like a monster to you?"
"YES!" Twilight shouted, flying closer to me and punching me in the face. I was thrown back, and she teleported and kicked me in the head, and then her horn glowed and her magic picked me up, and threw me into the floor again, and again, and again, and again.
"Twilight, stop!" Applejack yelled as Oak started to cry.
"No, he's a monster!" Twilight yelled, throwing him into the ground hard enough to crater it. Her horn glowed, and a big ball of magic formed on its tip. "I'm going to finish you off!"
"No! Please stop hurting me!" Oak yelled.
"Monster!" Twilight shouted, throwing her magic ball at me.
Applejack punched her in the face really hard, and her magic stopped. Applejack felt angry, and more angry because she just punched her second best friend. "Twilight, he's lost his memory! He doesn't know who he is or what he is, and if he's a monster, that don't make him a bad pony! Don't you remember the Manticore?"
"This isn't like the Manticore, Applejack! This is SERIOUS!" Twilight yelled.
"So was the Manticore!" Applejack yelled.
"This is EVEN SERIOUSER! That was just a Manticore, the worst that could do is poison us or hurt us. This is a Shadow Dragon! I thought they were just a myth, but Nightmare Moon was supposed to be one, too! And now there's one RIGHT HERE! We have to destroy it NOW, before it destroys all of Equestria!" Twilight yelled. Seriouser wasn't a word. That was how scared she was!
"Shadow Dragon... is that my name?" Oak asked. He felt confused.
"No, it's your species," Twilight said.
"Awesome! So can all of my species do this?" Oak asked, his head and neck stretching out to wrap around a terrified Twilight four times. And then he licked her face, making her angry. She shook him off and he laughed.
"Ugh, you're just too much!" Twilight yelled.
"Maybe you're just too little!" Oak said back.
"OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Apple Bloom said. She pointed a hoof and opened her mouth really wide when she said it.
Applejack hit Apple Bloom, so Oak punched Applejack through a wall. "Wooaaaaah! That was so COOL!" He yelled.
"Applejack!" Apple Bloom yelled, running to her.
"Huh? But she hit you!" Oak said. Twilight used his magic to trap him in hoofcuffs.
"She's still my sister!" Apple Bloom said, hugging her sister. She got up and was ok. But he saw dirt marks on her face and body.
"That's it! You're toast!" Twilight shouted, charging a ball of magic and throwing at him.
"Oh yeah? YOU AND WHAT TOASTER?!" Oak yelled, punching the ball and making it explode.
"I got him!" Twilight said happily.
Oak walked out of the smoke and awesome music went. It was the coolest thing she ever saw or heard. Rainbow felt sad, but she didn't know why.
"THIS FIGHT IS OVEEERRRRR!" Oak yelled, grabbing Twilight's head and RKOing her head.
It didn't do much because the RKO really really sucks. Even if you do it in real life, it only hurts you. But it surprised Twilight, and made her muzzle hit the ground while her back legs tipped up. It was funny.
"Everypony, fighting!" Apple Bloom yelled. "He's lost his memory! He's scared and confused and frightened, and he's only defending himself!"
"She's right!" Oak shouted. "And I'm defending Apple Bloom too. I like her. She's really cute and nice,"
"Hmmmmmmmm..." Twilight said, casting a truth spell on him. "You really have lost your memory, haven't you?"
"Yes, Twilight," Oak said sadly.
"You're not going to hurt anypony or destroy the town?" Twilight asked. She hoped he wouldn't lie to her. She wanted the truth, from him.
"No, Twilight," Oak said sadly.
"Well... You can stay in town. BUT, I'll require CONSTANT CHECKUPS with you, and I'll need to do more experiments," Twilight said. "And you can't stay in the castle, that's too risky,"
"I could sleep with you instead!" Oak said happily.
Twilight hissed at him like a cat, and Oak laughed.
"He can sleep in my barn," Applejack offered angrily.
"Cool! What's a barn?" Oak asked.
"That." Applejack said, pointing at her barn.
"Cool!" Oak said happily. He felt excited, and he would love to live with Applejack
"Well, I guess there's a new pony in town," Apple Bloom said happily.
A pink pony came out of nowhere, and smiled. "Did somepony say there was a new pony in town?!"
Twilight screamed. Oak laughed.
