Spike walked along in the cool winter weather, his feet crunching down on the icy dirt path. The cold helped to soften up his parts. Twilight gets these ideas some mornings and her note-taking can actually last until lunch-time. The dragonling sighed. These embarrassing moments were becoming more and more frequent, even if he was helping Twilight with a more mundane assignment. His mind wandered when he didn’t need to concentrate.
Once, when they were sitting by the fire chatting about the day and all the work they had done, his little dragon just sprung up! Spike wasn’t all that reassured by her comment, and neither was Twilight. They dropped the subject, anyway, and they both went to bed.
Spike’s legs carried him to the front of the boutique, unsurprisingly. The dragon boy rang the door chime and waited for his angelic Rarity. She was no doubt working on dress orders and she might be delighted to see him for his aid. Spike had confessed that he was in it for the jewels, but just being around the seamstress was pay enough for him. The young mare soon greeted him pleasantly.
“My my, if it isn’t Spike! Good morning, dear, I was just about to have a tea break.”
Spike and Rarity sat on royal cushions at a bright, round coffee table with a china tea set. Spike sipped his black tea, staring into the cup.
“Now my Spikey-wikey, something is on your mind,” Rarity stated.
Spike blushed, “I don’t know. I don’t know how- if I can tell you. It’s a bit of a boy problem.”
Rarity watched him fidget cutely on his cushion, momentarily taken aback at this, “My my my, now don’t we all have problems, though? Boy problems, girl problems. Why don’t you tell me anyway, perhaps I can help,” She watched him perceptively as he took care to position his cup and dish farther down than necessary.

Spike stared, having forgotten that he was speaking with a clothes-making master, and all this embarrassment could have been avoided. His thoughts had been too occupied. He blushed as he was petted, gazing into Rarity’s eyes, hoping his privates were covered. Suddenly, he felt his whole body enveloped and snatched into the air, dishes and all.
“Let’s get you measured first. Actually, I’m surprised I haven’t measured you before!” Rarity said in excitement, snatching the fancy china from the air.

LUNCHTIME?! His eyes snapped open. What time was it? His body protested his mind’s train of thought. No! Let me stay here a little longer. It’s okay! Twilight can eat by herself. She can wait. She can wait, Spike thought. He imagined the look on her face when he walked in late.
Rarity broke the silence, whispering suggestively, “You know my dear, I heard that Princess Celestia hears every invocation of her name.”
“Huh? What?” Spike asked, shock in his voice.
“It’s only a rumor, though,” Rarity giggled, “But I think it’s time we got up.”
Spike groaned and Rarity tut-tutted him.
“I still have work to do today, darling, and these commissions don’t finish themselves.”
The pair rose to their legs, Spike looking down to make sure he wasn’t sticking out anymore. Rarity stroked his chin and brought it up so she could look at him.
“I wouldn’t mind if you visited more often, my handsome dragon,” She leaned down and kissed him again. Spike was floundering around in the stew of attention. He was goofy and floaty and giggly.
“I’ll be sure to return to your castle, m’lady,” Spike made a dramatic bow, “And I’ll use my lance however you see fit, m’lady,” he m’lady’d again.
At this Rarity giggled, “Do so again, and your lady will have many jewels for that hungry dragon belly. Many kinds of jewels,” she joked.
Spike ran home, a mess of smiles and giggles. Later, a box was delivered to the library labeled for him. He had completely forgotten about the pants.
