A Nightingale's Song
Nightingale Shade has always sought an answer to a simple question. Despite the hardship and adversity of his life, was it, in the end, preferable to hold onto his memories that were so core to his life as a whole, or to let go of his past and his history, and begin anew? Now, he returns to Equestria, his mind set on finding those who may have the ability to determine the answer to his question.
Finding himself dropped, metaphorically, into the picturesque, idyllic town of Ponyville, where those of all backgrounds and origins gather, Nightingale is greeted by a cast of unnervingly friendly faces. He has been given another chance, another opportunity, to reforge his life and begin anew among those that might welcome him. Through them, however, Nightingale finds himself dragged unwillingly into their outlandish adventures and bizarre journeys, tumbling unwittingly into uncertainty.
Despite the unusual circumstances of his new home, however, Nightingale continues his drive to uncover his past and search for the motives and stimuli that gave him his entire life in the first place. In the process, he slowly, yet steadily, discovers a truth close to heart, a concealed secret that may shake the foundation of Equestria to the core. When conspiracies arise, of tales relating to the hidden, broken, and ultimately, veiled past of Equestria itself and its rulers, where will Nightingale Shade and his new-found friends find themselves, amongst a variety of cloaks and daggers?
