This story takes place in a alternate universe where the mane 6 never existed despite this Celestia was still able to aid her sister into becoming Luna once again. When Discord broke free from his prison he used his powers to turn many of the ponies of equestria into his subjects and led a war against the princesses. Luna in fear retreated to the moon taking along as many ponies as she could including her head guard Emerald Dust. The moon was not like how Luna left it though as it has been discovered by the humans of the far future and they are using it to mine for resources, but this mining operation goes horribly wrong when an ancient evil is awoken.
