//-------------------------------------------------------// The Discorded Life -by GoldenChaos- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Beginnings //-------------------------------------------------------// Beginnings                            Discord is at the doorstep at Fluttershy's cottage, waiting for her to open the door.  Finally, the door creaks open. "Oh, hello Discord!" exclaims Fluttershy, happily. "Hello to you, dearest," replies Discord, as he walks in and sits down at the table, with the tea kettle full of the warm drink. "Do you have the cucumber sandwiches?" asked Fluttershy, who seemed to be excited about something. Discord wondered what, but then he pushed the thought away. "Indeed I do," says Discord as he whips up the sandwiches with his magic. "OK, so, if you haven't noticed, I am interested to learn what your life was like, before the first time you were turned to stone," said Fluttershy suddenly. "I am sorry I brought the last part up, as I know you are sore with the subject." Fluttershy flinches. Discord sighs. "All right. It is about time I have told you the truth, completely," sighs Discord, patiently. He begins his tale, from the start of five years before he had become what he was when he was turned into stone. Star Swirl was a young sorcerer who was known throughout Equestria as Star Swirl the Bearded. Star was about to go view some alicorns, to see which of them is worthy of being crowned Princess of Equestria. He walked out of his door, hoping today would be the lucky day. All the other alicorns he had met were too shy, mean, rude, classy, racist, and more negative things that would not do for a princess. Star thought out the five requirements to being princess, to not let one alicorn missing a trait. Honesty, generosity, loyalty, laughter, and kindness. Star entered a boarding school for alicorns. He looked through the halls, and suddenly a white alicorn with a pink mane caught his attention. "Lulu, don't worry about them," the alicorn said,"They don't know what they are saying." She's kind, thought Star as he watched intently. But, he was rudely interrupted when some ponies who saw him rushed over to him. "Oh my gosh! It's Star Swirl the Bearded!" "I want to become ruler!" "I am the most loyal and kind! Make me the princess!" More and more shouts came in, and Star was forced to teleport out of the area. "I am not going to be able to find a ruler while I am myself," said Star, thinking of the transformation spell he had made. He chanted the enchanted words and became a dark blue alicorn. He walked back in the school, some ponies gave him weird glances. What are they staring about? Am I still myself? He glanced at a glass wall, and he realized he was the small blue filly that the kind white filly was talking to. Hopefully his voice has changed, as the spell wasn't perfect and sometimes he had his voice. "Lulu? What are you doing here? You were supposed to be in the bathroom," said the white winged mare as she walked up to Star. "Well, I changed my mind," said Star, nervously. "What is your name?" "How do you not know my name, sister?" oh boy, wrong question to ask. "It's me, Celie..." Celie glanced past him. "Come with me outside for a moment so we can talk." Star thought that was reasonable, and he nodded. "So, wha-" he was interrupted when Celie pounced on him. "Who are you and what is your name?" Celie bellowed, dragging the attention of many students. "I-I... Gotta go!" and Star disappeared. She was smart, but she must not be the right princess, but still! Star must watch her. She took the right actions, and Star figured she knew he wasn't this 'Lulu' she was talking about. Star changed to his normal appearance. He turned around, and was shocked to see Celie, standing, with her jaw gaped. "S-Star Swirl th-the Bearded?" Star nodded. "Oh my goodness... I'm so sorry! I knew you were not Lulu, by your eyes. They were glowing a strange amber!" He understood. Eye color doesn't change with the appearance. She was honest. Celie needs to have Laughter, Generosity, and Loyalty to prove herself left. "It was a good reaction, and if you become princess, you will be able to protect your subjects," praised Star. He saw her eyes shine. "But, that is of the future to decide, and I must go now. Return to your school and return to this 'Lulu', who appears to be your sister." "Her real name is Luna, and mine is Celestia," said Celie. Star smiled. "That is a nice name. But, I must be going, as there are very important matters to attend to," smiles Star. He teleports back to the school. He chants yet another spell, and he is now invisible. Now nopony can see him, no matter what. Celie returned to the school as well, beaming. "Hello, Cadance!" she called. "Hi BFF!" called a pink alicorn, who was probably Cadence. "I met the one and only Star Swirl the Bearded!" Cadence burst out laughing, most likely thinking it was a joke. "That is the funniest thing I have ever heard," gasped Cadence, who was struggling to catch her breath. "But I'm serious..." said Celestia, but Cadence had fluttered away. Cadence wouldn't make a good princess of Equestria. She is unkind, and that is major. She would become a tyrant, and Equestria won't need that, especially if it is to war with the other countries, as Saddle Arabia is somewhat aggressive at the moment. Celie saw a small pony hiding in the bushes. She trotted over, as why would anypony hide on such a radiant morning? She stopped when she heard faint sobbing. Slowly walking, Celie saw a small pegasus clutching a small doll, which was torn. "What is wrong, small one?" asked Celie, concerned. The pegasus sniffed. "Some bullies came over here and tore up my best friend!" cried the small wretched creature, holding the doll tightly, and suddenly burst into tears, harder. "Don't worry, I will fix it," replied Celie, who took the doll from the pegasus, who watched suspiciously. Celie used her magic to bring out a sewing needle, and she set to work. She sat there for twenty minutes, the pegasus still softly pouting. Celie then was happy with her work. "Here you go, as good as new," cheered Celie, and the pegasus gasped in delight. "My name is Celestia. May you tell me your name?" "I am Hurricane! My father is the captain of the Pegasi Unit, which protect all of Equestria! One day I will lead it, and I will make my family proud of me!" exclaimed Hurricane, acting tough. Funny, as he was sobbing a moment ago. But, he is a young colt and he has much to learn. Celie laughed. "First, you need to learn to fly!" both of them laughed. Back to where Star was watching, he stared in amusement. A thought suddenly hit his mind. Celestia has shown kindness, honesty, generosity, and laughter! All she needs to be is loyal, and she will start her training to be a princess. Star hoped Celie was the right pony. But, will Celie ask for Luna to rule beside her? Star wondered as pondered, not realizing his spell wore off, and ponies were staring. "Oh my gosh!" cried somepony, and Star snapped back to reality. He gasped, and ran off. He muttered the Invisible Spell, and he returned to see Luna. He was surprised as Luna was cornered, surrounded by three male unicorns. "What makes you so special?" shouted one. "You aren't fit to be an alicorn, you are so stupid!" "I wouldn't be surprised if they took your wings, as you can't even use them!" all of a sudden Celie appeared in front of Luna. "HOW DARE THOU DISRESPECT AN ALICORN?" bellowed Celie. "SHE CAN FLY WELL, AND NONE OF THOU CAN GET A SIMPLE SPARK OUT OF THOU MAGICAL HORNS!" "Celie, calm down. Come over here and we can teach stupid Luna that she is a useless disgrace of a pony," said Cadence as she walked forward. "Luna is my SISTER!" screeched Celie. "What?!" "HOW DARE THOU?! THOU CANNOT USE HER MAGIC, WHILE LUNA IS THE BEST IN THE SCHOOL," her royal canterlot voice needed work, but that was for a later time. She was loyal. Celie will become the first Princess of Equestria. "I-I umm..." Cadence shot off, the unicorns trailing after her, in fear. "Well done, Celestia," says Star as he walks toward her. Luna and Celie gasp. "Y-You were standing there the whole time?" questioned Celestia, embarrassed. "Yes, and you proved yourself to be kind, generous, loyal, honest, and you know how to cheer ponies," Star replies. Celie beams. "I have decided to take you as my apprentice, and you will become the Princess of Equestria." Star noticed that many ponies were watching now. "I will, if Luna gets to learn and become princess with me," challenged Celestia. Star smirked. Attitude. "Then it shall be. From this day, before us, are the new Princesses of Equestria, Celestia and Luna!" //-------------------------------------------------------// Going Through Time //-------------------------------------------------------// Going Through Time            A few months later, Star was coming up with a new spell, but of what? Star thought and thought of what kind of spell he could make. Star gave up and decided to check on Celestia, who was talking with Luna. "Celestia, Luna, can you two talk for a moment?" Luna and Celestia walked over. "What is it?" asked Luna. She has become more confident ever since she was named a Princess of Equestria. "I need help thinking of a type of spell to make next, as I had already used my ideas," replied Star. "That's easy. Make a time spell to go forward or backward in time!" exclaimed Luna, not thinking much of it. Star thought to himself, how did I not think of that? "OK, will do, so I will be busy for quite awhile," declared Star, as he was walking out of the room. He came up with theories with how he can make a spell as complicated as this. He drew tired as the hours pushed on, but he didn't think much of it. Then, there was a knock on the door. "Star Swirl, I think you might want to rest. You have worked for fourteen hours straight!" said Celestia, opening the door. "I cannot stop, because I need to see if this spell will work. I believe it is finished. Let me try," before Celestia could do anything, Star disappeared. "I hope he knows what he is doing," said Celestia, who was worried of Star's well being. Star opened his eyes, and found himself in the future. He saw himself, laying on the ground, looking drained. He realized it was night time. Star then remembered the duties of raising the sun and moon, and Star figured he must have drained himself of his energy. Star turned around and saw Celestia, and she rose the sun, while Luna lowered the moon. He watched in awe as their cutie marks appeared. This must be their destiny! "Celie, look! You have your cutie mark!" exclaimed Luna, as Celestia screamed in glee. "You have yours too, Lulu!" Luna looked and hopped. Star grinned. Soon, he will actually witness this! "Star Swirl, this might hurt a bit," announced Celestia. She couldn't possibly saw him, could she have? Then Star realized she was talking to his future self, not him. He looked over, as Luna and Celestia used their magic to revive his own. Star smiled, and decided to go more into the future. He again used the spell, and everything passed in a blur. Star then found himself by a tree, with the same cutie marks as Luna and Celestia! There was a star above them, and Star Swirl decided he will check what it is when he is done viewing this current situation. "Celie, what is this place?" asked Luna. Celestia hung her head a little. "This is the tree we need to defeat Discord," replied Celestia, looking as if she was going to cry. Who is Discord? Star suddenly noticed how shockingly beautiful Celestia was now. "This tree? What does it contain?" Luna questioned. "It contains the Elements of Harmony, which we need to make Discord stop his rein on Equestria," replied Celestia, a tear rolling down her cheek. "Oh... we know this is hard, as he was a close friend before. But now, we must do what is best for our subjects," reminded Luna, hoping Celestia will agree with her. "Of course," said Celestia. Star forwarded time, and saw Celestia and Luna against... What is that?! Star was shocked to see such a horrifying creature. Was this Discord? He was the definition of chaos. The world around Star was all chaotic, checkered grounds, strange animals, fearful ponies, and more. Where did this tyrant come from? Star decided he didn't want to know. Then, Celestia and Luna stepped forward. "Discord, this is your last chance. Back down now, and consequences with be less," said Celestia. Discord laughed, sounding much like Star, to his confusion. "Celie and Lulu, you believe you can stop me?" Star was even more confused, as Discord sounded exactly like him. "Well, you leave us with no choice," sighed Celestia, as she brought out the gems, which were the Elements, most likely. Then, Star was sent back in time, and Star saw Celestia in front of him. "Back from your travels?" Celestia asked. "It was amazing, I wish I could tell you what happened, but I think not as it will alter the future," Star said, knowing what disastrous effects can take place. "Alright," said Celestia, and she walked out of the room. What a great princess she will become! Star thought of this as he went to rest with some coffee. Time will tell. Star stops thinking as he falls asleep. It HAS been a long day, and this is his reward.
