"Princess Celestia, your visit to the Great Library of Alexsauntria is today."
"I'm almost ready, Silver Cast," replied the young monarch. Princess Celestia was eager for her first visit to the Great Library, which contained some of the finest spells, written by the wisest mages in ancient Babullon and Sumareia. The writings of the ancient king Samahha intrigued her the most, mainly due to their intricateness and how advanced they were for their time.
"Celestia, should I stay here with your sister before I'm gone?" Silver Cast asked.
Celestia took some time to consider. Although her sister Luna was still young and had been prone to trouble before, she knew that Luna was still a loving and caring sibling, and had wisened up over the years. "No, Silver. Let her go with me, and I think she's old enough to go with me." The young Luna lit up with glee.
As the two princesses entered the library, they were, of course, greeted with great celebration. Celestia and Luna were charmed, but remembered that they were here to read. Celestia began looking for the ancient stone tablets of Babullon, while Luna followed behind her. When Celestia founded what she wanted, she took the tablet and began studying it, writing notes in her papyrus notebook.
"Celly, I'm bored. Why don't you read this fairy tale with me? It's about a dragon, and this young unicorn who - " Luna started.
"Lulu, I love you very much, but right now, I need to study these works. I'd be more than happy to read stories when we get home."
"But--"
"Not now, Luna."
A discouraged Luna decided to wander off, looking for more stories to read. Meanwhile, Celestia continued to read the tablets.
"Well, this is interesting. The first half of this spell is written in late Maremaic, yet the second half is written in Sumareian...Samahha was certainly a very clever mage..." As Celestia continued attempting to decipher the spell, she became more and more intrigued. After a while, she decided to test the spell for herself. After going to the garden in the back of the Library, she began to focus her mind and her magic on this spell. Her horn began to light up as the spell began. As she focused more and more energy, her aura of magic began to grow...and grow...and grow...as soon as the aura began to engulf her head and torso, she began to have second thoughts. However, seeing as she was already being lifted from the ground, and the context of what she could decipher didn't suggest anything about the spell being use to harm anypony, she decided that she might as well go through with it.
As the aura brightened and engulfed her whole body, Luna walked in to see what was going on. "Celly, what's going on? What's with all that light?"
"Luna!" But before Celestia could stop the spell, she had disappeared in a flash. The princess was gone...
