Changeling Princess in Ponyville
Finally I'm here, that long flight was exhausting! The Changeling Princess slowly descended from the sky, taking care to stay away from curious ponies. She landed in a tree concealed from prying eyes.I can't stay here forever. The Princess needed a disguise, and quick. Everypony could probably see the tree quivering and shaking. It won't be long before somepony finds out. Princess Violetta was truly unusual, half changeling half pony. She was an alicorn almost as black as the midnight. Her crooked violet purple mane slightly swayed in the breeze. Her long, pointy horn and wings were that of a normal alicorn. Her shell, which every changeling had, was dark violet. She also had holes in her legs and a tall, regal body. A small crown rested apon her head. She had no cutie mark. She was always alone.
Somepony was approaching the tree. Somepony no other than the Princess of Friendship. Oh no, the Princess thought. She might banish me to the Everfree forest and... and... maybe alert the Queen because every changeling knows that ponies hate us for the canterlot invasion. The princess especially hated it. If the Queen hadn't taken Cadence's place, Princess Violetta would have never been born. She never wanted to be born anyways. Back at home, she was shunned and mercilessly teased for being 'half pony.' And the Princess didn't want o be the next Queen. She wanted to be with ponies who treated her as an equal. The other alicorn was getting closer. Violetta couldn't just run away. She quickly shed her form and took on the form of a pale lavender unicorn with a darker mane. But what was wrong with this disguise? Oh, right. Violetta needed a cutie mark. She quickly jumped out of the tree and trotted up to the other Princess and made a cutie mark appear on her flank.
"Hello!' The Changeling Princess grinned, trying not to look nervous. I hope she doesn't banish me... Princess Violetta was very insecure.
"Hello! I'm Twilight Sparkle."
Violetta was really surprised. She thought Twilight was a Princess.
"Hey, I thought you were a Princess..."
"Yeah," Twilight Sparkle replied. "Who are you?"
Oh no, I've got to think of something. Princess Violetta's face took on an expression of panic. She forced it of of her and put on a huge, fake smile.
"Yeah, that. I'm Princess V..."
"Princess V?"
Violetta put a hoof over her mouth. Come on, you gotta think! Think, Violetta, think!
"No no no no no no no no... my name is...."
The Changeling Princess racked her brain over many possible names. Twilight would be getting suspicious by now...
"My name is Violet."
