"Girls, we did it!" exclaimed Twilight Sparkle, a purple unicorn. "I knew our friendship couldn't be broken!" The ponies cheered, but then they looked away awkwardly. Discord brought out the worst of them, and they all felt guilty of what they had done because of the spell.
"So, where is Discord?" questioned Pinkie, turning her head upside down.
"Pinkie, he is right there," replied Rainbow Dash, clearly annoyed by the question. Everypony gasped when they looked over to the empty, cold ground before them.
"W-Where's D-Discord?" stammered Fluttershy, fearing they would have to go through the pain of Discord's spell. Rarity moans and faints.
"We must inform Princess Celestia immediately!" exclaimed Twilight.
"Ah agree with Twilight," says Applejack. They rush to Twilight's library, and start writing a note to Celestia, of the current situation.
"Ha! They really thought they could turn me back to stone!" laughed Discord to himself. "I am clever, splitting their friendship so the spell wouldn't work. But, I really wish I had thought of turning Twilight over so it would be permanent." Discord realized something. "I really need to stop talking to myself." Discord looked around in the night, and sought for shelter. After all, he can be found if he is in the open, and then he can be really turned to stone, and spend another one thousand years before he is released again! He found a cave, and he took shelter in a corner.
"Twilight, thank you for informing me of this. I will alert the guards, and I will make sure everypony is on watch. Keep your elements near, as Discord can appear at any time," ordered Celestia, who came to Ponyville for this incident.
"Will do, Princess. I will make sure he is found and dealt with," replied Twilight.
"I hope Discord doesn't attack again," murmurs Fluttershy, worried he will use the spell again to turn them into enemies.
"I hope I can see Discord to I can give him a beat down he won't forget!" exlaimed Rainbow, punching the air, wishing it was Discord.
"Remember he has chaos magic that he can use against you," reminded Twilight.
"You're right, Twilight," Rainbow sighed.
"Ah reckon y'all have a plan Twilight," mentioned Applejack.
"Not exactly. Until I do, hold onto your elements, girls," ordered Twilight. Applejack yawns.
"Well, ah am gonna hit the hay. I don't know about y'all, but I'm tired," said Applejack, walking out the library.
"I hope Discord doesn't come back," whispered Fluttershy as everypony walks out.
Discord prowls through the Everfree Forest, loving being free again. He leaps to the top of a tree, and views the land that will soon be his. It was a great plan to destroy Twilight's friendships. The spell couldn't work right, and Discord was able to escape easily. But, he heard hoof steps, and he hid in the leaves, and saw... Twilight?
Twilight was taking a late night stroll to get her mind off of Discord's escape. She was upset that the spell wasn't able to keep him in the prison. She looked around, alert for an attack. Suddenly, she heard a rustling in a tree nearby.
"Show yourself!" shouted Twilight as she zapped the tree, and Discord fell out.
"Well, that was rude!" yelled Discord, unable to comprehend what just happened.
"Discord! Now that I have found you, you will be in your prison where you are supposed to be!" growled Twilight. Discord laughed.
"I don't see the other Elements of Harmony! So, what can YOU do?" cackled Discord.
"I don't need the elements to teach you a lesson!" yelled Twilight, as she remembered an attack spell. She used her magic, and lifted Discord, who was shocked. She threw him against a tree, causing him to yelp in pain.
"How DARE you?!" screeched Discord as he used his magic to get over to Twilight and claw at her. Twilight threw him off and used the most dangerous spell that existed, without realizing. She used the spell, and Discord yelled out in agony. She realized what she was doing and stopped.
"What the hay is going on here?" yelled Applejack, who was followed by Rarity, Pinkie, Rainbow, and Fluttershy. They gasped when they saw Discord, who was motionless, and mangled. "Twi, what did you do?"
"Twilight, I said I would give him a beat down, but I never imagined THIS!" growled Rainbow, glaring.
"Dear, are you alright?" questioned Rarity, inspecting Twilight. Pinkie didn't say anything.
"Oh dear, we can't send him to stone in this condition! He will die!" cried out Fluttershy suddenly, and everypony stared.
"I must agree," said Twilight, guiltily. "I could have... killed him." Everypony stared, then dipped their heads in agreement.
"Lets get him to my cottage!" ordered Fluttershy.
The next morning, Discord woke up with a sharp pain in his head and leg. Then, he realized he was in a small cottage.
"Wha-What?! Where am I?!" yelled Discord, confused. How did he get here? What happened last night? Fluttershy walked in.
"Oh, you are awake! Would you like some tea?" offered Fluttershy.
"First tell me how I got here!" snarled Discord. Fluttershy sighed and told him what happened.
"I thought Twilight believed in harmony. I never thought she was a cruel, heartless murderer!" seethed Discord. Fluttershy gasped.
"Twilight isn't a murderer! She did that on accident, and it is much your fault as it was hers!" reminded Fluttershy.
"I suppose so," replied Discord. Fluttershy sat down and watched him, suspiciously. Why did she take him in after what Discord had done? Discord was puzzled on why. "So, why did you take me in after I nearly ruined your friendship?"
"I don't just leave a creature out to die! I bet you would do the same, even if you are evil," that got Discord there. He supposed he would. After all, why would anypony want somepony to die? Discord was evil, but not that evil.
