I was told that when the bell tolls that it will awaken the Lords of Cinders from their graves and that they will take their thrones and relight the fire to save our sorry souls from eternal damnation in the darkness that was coming. I was told that I can light the fire and prevent humanity from dying out when the flames fade out. I was told that I will be a champion of ash and save the world from its destined destruction.

I wasn't told that death would be my only companion throughout my journey. They never told me that those that were once my friends would turn against me as their minds gave into the abyss. She never told me that I would be sacrificed to the fire to keep it alight.

And I was never told that one Lord of Cinder has left this world altogether and is the sole reason why this all started in the first place.
