Chapter 4- Heh, Nope.

Previous Chapter

As sudden consciousness returned to him, Jack loosed a groan of pain and cracked open his eyes. He then immediately realized a few things in quick succession. For starters, He was laying on his stomach on dirt, not stone. He also realized he couldn't see, but all of sudden he correct his own thinking as he realized it was simply very, VERY dark. He couldn't see very much except the lines of the roof of where he was, which seemed to be a cylindrical chamber of some sort. Suddenly, he pushed himself to a upright position with a yelp of surprise. He looked around and said, “Where the hell am I?! I was in the warehouse just a moment ago...!” He slowly shook his head and said, “Jesus...what kind of trip did I go on...?” As he spoke he noticed there was a slight glow just below his vision. Jack looked down and saw that the glow was coming from the gem of the necklace. But somehow it had attached itself  to his neck. He stayed completely still for a moment before he raised a single hand, pushed up a sleeve of his shirt, and pinched his arm as hard as he could. He expected to be woken up, but he only felt a flash of extreme pain. He winced in pain and said, “Okay...this is definitely not a dream...” Jack stood with a sigh and looked around, bending down slightly to avoid bonking his head on the roof over-head. He tried to pull off the necklace, but as his hand touched it the entire chamber lit up like there was no darkness whatsoever. He raised his other hand, about to comment, but lowered it again shaking his head, unable to find words to say in his sheer bewilderment. He  shrugged mentally and said, "Well....I can't stay in here trying to figure things out..." He then scanned the chamber he was in until he noticed a small passageway at the edge of the room. He then quickly walked over to the corridor and immediately he tripped over a stone. As he pushed himself up he let off a string of curses that echoed around the chamber. He then pushed himself up, still muttering curses as he dusted himself off. He walked up to the passageway and stepped past the threshold into the tunnel, and kept on going.
