He stood still for a moment, mused over what he felt needed to be somewhere else. He's eyes slowly turned to the left as he saw an object laying at the shelf next to him. "D'oh, how can i be so stupid!" He said to himself, as he grabbed his new headset he bought a couple days ago. He put the new well cared headset around his neck. With a smile on his face, and a beat in his heart, he walked out on the stage as the huge pony audience greeted him with joyfull screams. He stood on the stage for a moment, admiring the attention. Then he trooped up to his instruments. They were ready for his use. He put on his headphones and turned on the mixer and then played a violent bass track many of his fans has been waiting for a long time. As the bass pounded, the audience bounced with it, all screaming and cheering. Hakke was enjoying the attention and love the audience delivered to him in return for the content he delivered. He put on his party glasses and launched another beat. The audience grew even wilder. There was a real party atmosphere. This beat was very fast paced and motivated everyone to move faster. This was sure one of the most energetic concerts he has ever delivered before. It was a long night, but it was nearing it's end. Hakke thanked his audience many times, before he walked out backstage. A little sweat on his forehead, that was all the hard work he carried out through the night. After such a performance, he needed rest too. Altough it was a bold and brilliant party, there were other things to be cared of once in a while. As he was walking towards his backstage room, he stumbled into two beautifull and attracting mares. "Oh my gosh! It's him!" The first one said while the other one starred in awe. Hakke got a small smile on his face, greeting the two ladies, "G'evening, ladies". One of the mares was a about to faint, while the other one was jumping and squealing. "Oh my gosh! We are huge fans of your music Hakke, c-can you give us an autograph?" One of the mares said. "A personal one," the other mare said, walking closer to Hakke, eye contact, sending him an mysterious look. His facial expression changed into a crumbled and nervous frown. The first mare slapped the flirting one, giving a nice "SMACK" sound from it. "Ow!" the flirting mare said in pain. "Then just a autograph," she said. Hakke's fown slowly turned into a more normal crumbled smile. They found some posters of Hakke from their bags and Hakke signed them as he promised. Shortly after admiring the words written by their idol himself, they told him how much they loved him and quickly disappeared out of the backstage area. Hakke felt like he was in a hurry after the episode with the two mares. He wanted to get home quickly, so he could get some sleep. A beam of sunshine, shined trough the window. Hakke waked up with a grumpy moan in response to this beautifully warm and still frustrating morning sun. He rose slowly from his bed and started to walk towards the bathroom, fresh'd himself up and the continued to the kitchen. The time was 9:50 AM. Above the sink, he fetched his calender from a shelf that was hanging up there, checking it to see if he had any plans for the upcoming day (Or to see if he missed something). He's facial expression changed into a chilled out and relaxing expression, as he discovered that he had absolutely nothing to do today. In addition to that, he decided to celebrate it with a cup of chocolate milk with cream. With the hot chocolate milk steaming from the cup, he leaned down in one of his best chairs and gave off a relaxed moan. He started singing a song: "♫ Today i don't feel like doing anything! I just wanna lay in ma' bed ♫". Just as he was about to sip to the delicious cup of chocolate, when the door was bashed open. "HAKKEEEEEEEEEE!" Hakke was shocked and made a quick protective move, that made him lose grip on the cup, and spilled all the Delicious chocolate milk over his coat. He looked frightened towards the door and saw to his surprise that this day probably wouldn't be so relaxed as he expected. It was Vinyl Scratch. The famous DJ mare from Ponyville. "Hey! What's up Hakke!? What is my favourite bro up to on this glorious sun shiny day?" Vinyl said. Vinyl's smiling face slowly turned into a bewildered frown. "Eh, whats with the hot stuff Hakke?" She asked. Hakke's eyes was wide open, looking at Vinyl. His eye began twitching, as the steam from the hot chocolate began to drift into the air. "You did this, you dumpster," he answered. "What? I did that? No way, i just walked in the front door, that ain't me!" She said roughly. "Walked in the front door? You almost destroyed the door" Hakke said while face-hoofing. "You scared me, i was drinking hot chocolate milk! Can't i just get one day without SOME-pony asking me something to do?" He said letting an angry "hmpf" out of his mouth. "Oh, yea that's right," Vinyl giggled. "Le' me getcha a towel," She said heading for the bathroom. After he cleaned himself up, he gave the floor a quick whisk and it was shining as a diamond. "So, Vinyl. What is up today, since you had to ruin my morning?" Hakke said while mixing some random food together. "Oh yea! I'm going to play at this after-party right after the summer sun celebration. I was thinking if you wanted to come with me to Ponyville today and hang out before the party," Said Vinyl, with a huge grin on her face. "Hang out? Are you thinking of something special?" Hakke replied. "Nah, just the usual. Hang out, walk down the city. Oh yea! I just GOT to show you my new equipment! I got the coolest new mixer!" She said in excitement jumping up and down. Hakke sad down with his breakfast at the glass table in the kitchen, which needed to be cleaned after the last party at his place. "Well, doesn't sound like hard work, I'm in," he said, as he was about to take a bite of a daffodil sandwich. "Cool bro!" She said, giving him a little knock on the shoulder. "So, ready to leave?" She said shortly after. "What? Already? But i haven't even finished my breakfast," Hakke replied. "Then HURRY! I'm getting inpatient," she said with a grumpy facial expression. After he finished the sandwich, he fetched his new headset and was ready to leave with Vinyl. "Now I'm ready!" He said. "Oh awesome!" Vinyl answered loudly. [EDIT: I fixed the grammar issues with the time. I accidently wrote 9:50 PM instead of AM] Heart Beats - Chapter 2: Love At Accident♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 2: Love at accident ♫ Hakke and Vinyl was on their way to Ponyville, strolling down the road. They were talking about the party Vinyl was going to play music at after the summer sun celebration. "So this party, what is it exactly?" Hakke asked. "It's the summer sun celebration after party! They hired the champion, me of course, to play some deadly tracks that sure will make those ponies wanna shake there flank." Vinyl said. "Oh yea, you do show up to the party, right?" Asked Vinyl. "Yes of course! You drop some pretty heavy beats Vinyl, wouldn't miss that for the world!" Hakke said with a smile on his face. "Glad to hear that! That's why you are my favourite bro Hakke, a real friend," she said, smiling to Hakke. As time passed by, they arrived in Ponyville. They decided to sit down at one of the many cafe's in Ponyville. Some ponies at the café recognized them, starting to chit-chat and whisper. "So, how's it going with you and Octavia?" Hakke asked. "She's a bit grumpy at the moment," Vinyl replied. "Well, why?" Hakke asked looking like a big question mark. "Things got a little to wild last time i had a show, it was totally off the fence that evening, got a little too much to drink." Vinyl said. "Arh, she'll forgive you for sure," Hakke said, trying to cheer up the now frowning pony. "Yea, she probably will," Vinyl replied with a small smile on her face. "Ill get some soda for you, just wait here."Hakke said as he left his chair and walked towards the counter. "Two Colas," he said to the pony behind the counter. While he was waiting, he took a look at the area they were in. There were quiet alot of ponies on the street that day. Everyone was happy, and enjoying the sunny weather. Maybe it was going to be a relaxed day after all. The pony behind the counter gave him the drinks, but as he turned around he stumbled into another pony, spilling one of the colas down and his coat was soaking wet again. Hakke closed his eyes in frustration. "This did not just happen again, did it?" He said to himself. Shortly after he said that, he heard another pony's voice. A sweet voice, from the opposite sex. "Ohhh, I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to do that! Gosh I'm so clumsy," the voice said. Hakke opened his eyes wide open again, like when Vinyl scared him, but quickly after opening his eyes, his before frustrated and angry facial expression, changed into a surprised and amazed expression. The mare in front of him had a purple coat, a dark purple mane with a small pink stripe running along down trough her tail. Her tail was dark purple as well, and as himself, she was a unicorn. "Ah, be- eh, I-i... Ehm..." Hakke said, looking intensely on the attractive mare in front of him. He was out of words to say. "Ohhh, what have i done! I'm so so so so sorry! I wish i had a towel or something." the purple mare said panicly. Hakke was still gazing over the astonishing purple mare's appearance. He felt warm inside, as he was watching the mare in front of him panicking, trying to find a solution. "WAIT! I have an idea! Ill quickly find a clean up spell!" She said. The mare opened a book she was carrying around, flipping trough some pages in the book. "AHA! Here it is!" A humming sound appeared as the purple mare's horn started glowing. Quickly after, Hakke's coat made a funny "poof" sound and was as good as if he just took a bath. "Oh, again I'm so sorry, it was a big mistake. OH NO, look at the time! I really gotta go, and sorry again, hope you are okay!" said the purple mare as she ran away. It all happened too fast. Hakke was standing there alone now, not really knowing what happened to him. Who was that mare? What was this wierd feeling he felt inside? And why wasn't he able to say something to that mare right before? "Yo Hakke, you okay?" a voice called. It was Vinyl, who had been spectator trough the whole episode with Hakke and the mare. "Uhh... I'm not really sure," he said slowly and confused. Vinyl giggled. "I think we are done her Hakke, lets move on," she said. They continued away from the café, heading towards the center of Ponyville. "What did just happen there dude? Who was that purple chick?" Asked Vinyl. "I dont know Vinyl, i just bumped into her on my way back to the table," Hakke replied. "I don't know what happened either, i was just unable to talk. There was something bout' that mare that just made me feel... Like... Like sappy cupcakes," he said. "What? Sappy cupcakes? What in the world of Equestria is that supposed to mean?" Vinyl questioned. "Urgh, you know... I was like... It felt a little like... Hmm, how do i say this? Like, warm and soft... Yea, i got all warm and soft inside". Vinyl giggled. "Pffff... Warm and soft inside... Could have been better," she giggled. "What?" Hakke said, again looking like a huge question mark. "Hehe, nothing. Just forget that, BUT! I think i know what was wrong with you... Hehe." she said. Hakke's eyes opened wide. "You do? Tell me then!" He said heatedly. "Haha, isn't it obvious Hakke?" Hakke was completely out of the game right now. He didn't see the obvious in this thing. Vinyl facehoof'd. "Gosh Hakke, YOU ARE IN LOVE, bro!" She said loudly. "In Love?!" "Yes! In LOVE! As in L-O-V-E!" Vinyl yelled straight into the face of Hakke. People was started paying attention to the two musical ponies yelling at each other. "But hows that even possible?! I don't even know her! But i sure wanted to..." Hakke said, suddenly getting a sad facial expression. "Well, you should go do that then! Don't let the lady wait!" Vinyl said giving Hakke a bump on the shoulder. "But Vinyl. I DON'T EVEN KNOW HER! And she doesn't know me, it was just an accident, that's all," Hakke said. "Gosh, you are stupid Hakke. Why don't you just go out there and find out who she was? It's crystal clear that you like her! Maybe you and her could get together and have some fun!". Hakke looked at Vinyl, with a dissaproving face. "Have fun?" He said. Vinyl smiled. "Yea you know, you talk to her, she begins to like you and you already like her. Maybe you can be even more than friends after that and theeeeeen," Vinyl had a huge grin on her face. Hakke was still looking disapproving. "You are disgusting Vinyl," he said. Vinyl bursted into laugther. "Oh god, you are so funny Hakke, and stupid," she said. Hakke got a small smile on his face. "Yea, i guess i am," he replied. "But hey, i gotta go now Hakke, it was fun. I need to prepare for the Party ya know, its gonna be so great!" She said in excitement. Hakke smiled. "Yea, it was fun, and ill see you at the party then!" He replied. The two ponies parted, and Hakke was standing alone in Ponyville now. His thoughts was completely messed up in his head. He sat down for a moment, thinking about the episode today. Hakke thought to himself: "Maybe i should try to find her. I didn't really got to say thanks to her. Besides, maybe we can be friends". Suddenly, Hakke noticed that he was blushing. "Oh my," he said to himself. Heart Beats - Chapter 3: A Crush on The Unknown♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 3: A crush on the unknown ♫ Hakke was walking around in the town of Ponyville, hoping to spot the beautiful mare he met not long ago. As far as he was, he had no luck in his search. "Hmm, i wonder where she has gone. Maybe i should ask somepony," he thought to himself. As he walked a little longer, he arrived at a big decorated building. As what he thought, it was a fashion boutique. "Sigh, doesn't hurt to try," he said, and slowly walked into the boutique. A smell caught his nose as soon as he entered the boutique. It was a very feminine and strong smell, almost hurting the insides of his nose. As he waited in the room, he's urge to sneeze grew. In a quick move and a loud ACHOO, he sneezed on his hoof. A little bit of snot was on the hoof, which he whiped off in some cloth next to him. As he was shaking the last sticky snot of his hoof, a white mare with a large headdress which was decorated with various gemstones stepped into the room. "Hello darling! What can i do for you on this glorious sunny day?" She asked. Hakke raised his hoof as he was about to say something, but was interrupted by the mare in front of him. "Oh, do you like my new design? I made it myself!" She said showing off the headdress proudly. She took of the headdress and put it on a shelf next to her. "So, what where you about to say darling?" The mare asked. "Yea, I was just going to ask about this ma.." As he was about to finish of the sentence, he was interrupted again. "OH!" The white mare suddenly yelled. "Uh, is something wrong miss?" He asked. The white mares face shined as she yelled: "IDEA!" Hakke was looking confused at the white mare, who looked like a shining diamond. "Uh, did i do something wrong?" "NO, my dear! You arrived just in time to try out my newest design in suits for stallions!" She said. Hakke suddenly got a bewildered facial expression. Dressing up wasn't hes greatest tallent. "Uh, miss, i think there have been a mistake. I'm not the stallion you are looking for. I was just gonna ask a question," He said. "Well, come with me now, you can ask me anything WHILE you are dressing," She said smiling. Hakke sighed deeply. "Okay then." Shortly after, Hakke was dressing up in various suits the white fashionista mare had designed. They sure wasn't that bad, but Hakke still didn't like to dress up. "I'm Rarity, by the way. So, what did you want to ask me about my dear?" The mare asked. "Its about this mare i met. Or, more like stumbled into." "Yes, what about it?" "You see, she seemed pretty nice so i wanted to see if i could meet her again. She had a beautifull purple coat and very beautifull purple mane too," Hakke described. He began to feel a slight feeling of awkwardness, as he blushed a little. "Oh, it must be Twilight Sparkle you stumbled into," Rarity said. Hakke suddenly lightened up and turned around as he replied Rarity. "So you know her? How lucky is that!" He said. "Yes i know her. She's one of my best friends. We have a very special bond together, me, her and the other 4," Rarity replied. "Oh that sounds great, i think. I would REALLY like to meet your friend, Twilight was it?" Rarity suddenly gasped. "Whats wrong?" Hakke asked. "DO YOU HAVE A CRUSH ON TWILIGHT?" She said loudly. "Eh, t-thats not what i said." "Oh my gosh! You have a crush on Twilight! Thats so cute!" She said. "I didn't say that!" He yelled back at her, starting to feel even more embarrassed than earlier. "Then tell me my dear friend, why do you want to meet her then?" Rarity asked, looking at Hakke with a disturbing expression in her eyes. Hakke felt like open book. It was like she was reading his thoughts, making him unable to answer her properly. "Uhhh... She just... Uh... Looked like a nice mare?" He said with a nervous smile on his face. Rarity started to laugh. "Haha! You got a crush on her for sure. Your a really bad liar dear.," She said. Hakke started to blush in embarrassment. He haven't been himself since he stumbled into this Twilight Sparkle. He wasn't the shy type, as he was playing concerts on a almost weekly basis. "Urgh, does that even matter? I just want to know where i can find her," Hakke replied grumpy. "Oh, and i will of course help you! You seem to be a nice young stallion... Hihi, you and her would be such a nice couple," Rarity said, as she uttered a sweet laugtther. Hakke smiled for a while, but quickly responded Rarity with a serious appeal. "But the point is, do you know where i can find her?" "Of course i do! We ARE the best of friends, me and her!" Rarity stated. "She lives in the Ponyville library, with her assistant, Spike." "Oh, great! Thank you miss uhm... Rarity! Ill be off then!" He answered. Rarity stretched her hoof and grabbed Hakke's tail as he was about to leave. "Wait just a minute!" She said. Hakke froze only making a low "irck" sound, coming from his mouth. "As i remember, Twilight is not at the library right now," Rarity said. "What? Where is she then?" Hakke asked hysterically. "I'm not sure, but i think she said something about visiting our friend Fluttershy," Rarity replied letting go off Hakke's tail. Hakke turned around facing Rarity. "So, where does this Fluttershy live?" He asked irritated. "Come with me, ill show you," She said to him, and by that they left her boutique together. Hakke and Rarity walked together trough Ponyville and ended up at a small cottage at a short distance out of Ponyville. Small critters and other animals were living around the cottage. "Ah, here it is!" Rarity said pleased. Hakke was looking nervously at the cottage. "Now, I have to leave, have some designs to create. Tell Twilight and Fluttershy that i said "Hi"!" She said to Hakke as she was leaving. Hakke was standing alone in front of Fluttershy's cottage. Nervousness started to grow stronger inside of him. Was it really a good idea, seeking this mare he felt these strong emotions for? "Its now or never," Hakke said to himself. The cottage was placed on the other side of a small river, running trough Ponyville and into the everfree forest. Hakke walked over the small bridge that went over the river. The animals around the cottage was gathering around Hakke, making him even more nervous. As he was standing in front of the door, he lifted his hoof, but stopped as he was about to knock. "What am i going to say to her?" He thought to himself. He looked down, trying to think of something smart to say, but felt like someone erased his mind. After a short time, he got himself together and just as he was about to knock, the door opened, and out of it jumped a kangaroo and knocked him off the ground. "Ouch!" He grunted. A yellow coated mare with pink mane and tail stepped out and gasped but the sight of Hakke, laying on the ground. "Oh my goodness! I'm so sorry!" The yellow mare said with the sweetest voice. "Ergh, I'm getting used to it," Hakke said as he slowly got up on his hoofs again. The yellow mare took a few steps back as Hakke rised again. "Are you sure you are okay? My friend got scared and ran away! I was just going to give him some medicine," She said innocently. "I'm okay, don't mind me. You must be Fluttershy, am i right?" He asked the yellow mare. She took a small step forward. "Y-yes, that's me. Is there anything i can help you with?" She asked quietly "Uhh, not really. Oh wait, of course there is!" He said loudly. Fluttershy took a step back again. Hakke started to feel nervous again. "Ehm, I'm looking for... erh..." Hakke mumbled. "Looking for what?" Fluttershy said. "I'm... Eh, I'm looking for this mare called Twilight Sparkle. Is she here?" Fluttershy raised her head again and walked closer to Hakke. "Uhm, she was before, but she just left some minutes ago," "Oh... I guess i need to look somewhere else then," Hakke said, starting to feel very depressed as his search for this Twilight Sparkle still didn't had any luck. "Well, thanks anyway, ill just leave now," Hakke said, as he turned around and started to walk away. A short moment of silence appeared, but was broken again when Fluttershy started to speak. "Ehm... Who are you?" She asked. "Oh, I'm just your average pony from Equestria," He replied. "But, whats your name?" "I'm Hakke." "You must be new here in Ponyville. I don't think i have seen you before," She said. "Yea, I'm from Canterlot." "Oh, how nice. But, what do you need Twilight for?" She asked. Hakke was silent for a moment. He didn't even know himself why he needed her, so what was he going to say to Fluttershy? "Ehm, its uh... I just need to say thanks to her, since she helped me previously today," Hakke said nervously. "Oh, thats very nice of you!" Fluttershy said with the sweetest smile on her face. Hakke started to blush again. "Uhm, do you know where Twilight Sparkle went? I have been searching for her a while now," Hakke asked. "Well, she probably went home by now. She lives in the Ponyville library," Fluttershy said nicely. "Yea, i already heard that from that other pony in the Fashion Boutique." "Oh, do you mean Rarity? She's such a nice pony! I'm actually supposed to meet her at the spa soon," Fluttershy replied. "That sounds great! And thanks for the help Fluttershy. Perhaps, we may meet again," Hakke said. "Oh, no problem Hakke, it was nice to meet you," She replied to him. "See you another day," He said and started galloping towards Ponyville. Fluttershy returned to her cottage with the animals gathered around her. "He seemed like such a nice pony! I hope we will meet again," She said. Shortly after, Fluttershy gasped as she remembered something she had almost forgot. "Oh no! The kangaroo!" Heart Beats - Chapter 4: The Meeting♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 4: The Meeting ♫ Hakke was making his way trough Ponyville after a visit at the pegasi named Fluttershy, hoping to meet Twilight Sparkle. Unfortunately, his search didn't bear any fruit yet but he continued without giving up. As far as he knew she was able to be found in the Ponyville library. Now, he was heading towards it, strolling trough the town. Hakke reached the center of Ponyville. He decided to take a break and sit down with a cup of hot chocolate milk. A Cafe was located nearby. He sat down and ordered the chocolate milk and for safety reasons, he checked the area for any threats of ruining his refreshment. Nothing was gonna prevent him from drinking now. As he was sitting at the Cafe sipping to his hot chocolate milk, time passed by way faster than he had expected. In the center of Ponyville the Ponyville tower was located. A huge watch was fastened on the side of the the tower. Hakke looked at it and gasped, as he realized how fast the time went by. "8 PM? Wow, how did that happen?" The main event of the summer sun celebration was starting at 11:59 PM. The after party should be right after that. If he was going to find Twilight Sparkle he was going to hurry up. He slurped the rest of the hot chocolate down which resulted a little burn in his throat. "Erch, I need to stop doing that," he said to himself. Hakke payed the bill and continued toward the Ponyville library. He had walked for around half an hour since he left the Cafe and finally arrived at the library. Standing outside the library, Hakke started to practice some phrases to say with no luck. As much as he hoped she was in there, he wanted her to be gone so he could avoid doing this. After minutes of doing nothing but trying to find words to say, he decided to knock on the door. Like when he visited Fluttershy, he raised his hoof from the ground and stopped as it was about to knock. "Oh gosh, this is going to be so bad," Hakke said to himself as he closed his eyes and knocked on the door. He opened them again waiting for the door to open up. 30 seconds without any response. Maybe she wasn't home. Hakke started to feel sad. Just as he was about to turn around and leave, the door opened. Hakke was shocked and made a loud gasp as the door was opening. Hakke's fur began to bristle and he got goosebumps. The door was now fully opened and right in front of him stood Twilight Sparkle. "Hello?" She said. Hakke felt some sweat rolling down his forehead. "Hello," he replied nervously. A moment of silence appeared. Both Twilight and Hakke was looking awkwardly at each other. Twilight started to smile awkwardly. "Is there anything i can help you with?" She asked nicely. "Uh.. Eh, do you remember me? I'm the pony from previously this day." Twilight was looking at Hakke with an confused facial expression. She didn't seem to remember him. "I don't think I've seen you before. When did we meet?" She asked. "Uhm, it was kinda like... Eh... I spilled cola all over my coat," he answered. A small gasp exhaled from Twilight's mouth, as she suddenly remembered the awkward episode that day. "Oh, Its you! The pony I... Oh, are you okay? I mean, I hope i didn't ruin anything last time we met," she replied. Hakke could see that the pony in front of him was feeling terrible because of the accident. "Naw, Its nothing special, don't feel bad about it," Hakke said, winking to Twilight. A small smile appeared on Twilight's face. Hakke smiled back. A short moment of silence happened. "So, do you want to come inside? I can make some tea," Twilight asked as she opened the door. Hakke almost trembled as he heard the words come from the purple mares mouth. He felt a weird joyful feeling inside, but at the same time he was scared of messing something up. He squished his underlip up under his teeth in nervousity. "Uh, are you all right?" She asked. "Oh... Y-yea of course I am." "Then would you like to come in or are you busy doing something else?" "Yea, sure!" Hakke answered. "Great! Come inside," Twilight said as she walked into the library, followed by Hakke. The library was huge. It consisted of two floors. One with books, and one with kitchen and bedroom. The walls was full of bookshelf's, packed with books containing all kinds of various information. A small table with open books spread all around was placed in the middle of the room. "Ill go make some tea, make yourself comfortable," Twilight said as she headed upstairs to the kitchen, preparing the tea. Hakke scouted around the first floor. He found a big variety of different books laying on the shelf's. "Potion brewing, Advanced spells, Practical forms... She must be loving science," Hakke thought to himself as he flipped the pages in different books. He putted the books back and continued to the next shelf. A small sign was displayed on the top of the shelf saying "Novels". He picked a random book from the shelf. It was a romantic novel. "Rolando and Julietta, A Story About Love Lost," Hakke said, reading the title of the book. He flipped´some pages open and read. "Rolando, oh Rolando! What a horrible life without you! Will I ever be able to see your beautiful face again? "I'm afraid not, my precious Julietta! I have to leave for all eternity, and never show myself here again!" "Oh Rolando! I wont be able to finish my life without you by my side! Please, don't leave! I beg you! Stay with me!" "I can't Julietta! Its just impossible! I can't hide forever! One day, they will find me, and i will be imprisoned and sooner be executed! You must understand Julietta!" "Tea is done! What are you reading over there?" Hakke closed the book in shock and dropped it on the floor. Twilight walked up to him and looked at the closed book laying on the ground. "Ah, Rolando and Julietta! Great book, i read it a couple of times. I love the romantic novels," Twilight said with a smile on her face. "Hehe, ehm... Yea sure," Hakke replied. He followed Twilight to the table with books all over it. Twilight sighed as her horn started to glow, whiping all the books away. "I'm so sorry about the mess, i was studying before you arrived." "Oh i see. You like studying much?" "Yea, i use much of my time studying." Hakke and Twilight sat down at the table. Twilight's horn began to glow again, bringing the two cups of tea down to the table. "Here, some nice apple tea! Promise not to spill it all over you this time," Twilight said with a smile one her face. Hakke giggled, grabbed the cup of Tea and simply replied with a "Thanks". They both took a sip from the cup of tea. "So, i never really got your name," Twilight asked. "I'm Hakke. I live in Canterlot," he replied. "Oh really? I'm from Canterlot too! I moved to Ponyville about a year ago, since my teacher told me to go meet some friends," Twilight said. "Oh, I'm Twilight Sparkle by the way," "Yea, i already know that," Hakke replied. "You do? How?" She asked. "I met two other ponies, Rarity and Fluttershy i think?" "Oh yes! Two of my best friends. They are really outstanding!" Twilight replied excited. "Wait, does that mean you were looking for me?" Twilight asked questionably. "Uh, yes. I wanted to say thanks to you, for helping me out today." "Oh gosh, you really shouldn't. I was the one messing up," She said in shame. "You really shouldn't think about it, I'm okay now. It was only an accident," Hakke said to Twilight, which was frowning a bit. Her face shined in a smile as she heard the words of Hakke. Hakke smiled back at Twilight. "Oh thank you Hakke, I'm glad to hear that. You seem like such a nice pony!" Twilight Sparkle replied Hakke. Hakke started blushing a bit. "Hehe, no problem at all, Twilight." Twilight smiled to Hakke again while sipping from the cup of tea again. Both Twilight and Hakke started to feel more comfortable with each other. Even though they haven't met before other than the accident the same day, there was a good connection between the two unicorn ponies. "So, what are you doing when not walking around the city? What is your special talent?" Twilight asked. Hakke showed his cutie mark on his flank. It was a musical note, almost similar to Vinyl's cutie mark. "I make music! I'm one of the top DJ's in Canterlot! Have you ever heard of me before?" "Not really, the only DJ i know is DJ PON-3. She lives here in Ponyville too," Twilight said. "Oh yea Vinyl Scratch! She's my friend. I use to hang out with her, from time to time," "Oh. Do you and her have something together?" Twilight asked. "Oh no, not at all. We are just good friends. Besides, Vinyl is a les... Uh... Never mind," Hakke said sheepishly, rubbing his hoof on the backside of his head while smiling to the purple mare in front of him. Twilight giggled sweetly. "Well that sounds just great!" Twilight said. Hakke started to feel warm and delightful inside. He felt the beat in his heart, like when he was playing music. He recognized it. The same feeling as when he fell in love with the music. Hakke started thinking about his foalhood. - - Flashback - - - Ever since he was a little filly he had loved music. Especially electronic music and Jazz. One day when Hakke was a little filly, he was visiting Phillydelphia with his parents. They didn't visit the Metropolis' that often, or they never really did. In his foalhood, they lived in a small town outside Canterlot, where there was no electronic music at all. Hakke was really excited, since he never had visited a great city before. "Sweetie, come on," his mother called. The little filly was busy looking at some toys that had caught his attention. He turned to answer his mother. "But mom! I want to stay here looking at the toys!" He said saddened. His mother looked at him seriously. "Okay then, promise me you stay here at the toys? Then me and dad will be back in 10 minutes, okay?" She said to her son which was still looking at all the amazing toys. "Yes, of course mom! I Will be waiting right here." "Good. Mom and dad will be back soon," She said as they leaved the area with the toy store and walked across the street. Soon they were out of his sight as they turned around a corner. Shortly after, Hakke got bored of the toys in the store. It wasn't that funny anymore when he wasn't able to get anyone of them down from the wall. He sat down and sighed in boredom. "I should have went with mom and dad," He said to himself. Suddenly, he heard a very quiet sound, like it came from afar. He got on his hoofs again and started to walk towards the direction where the sound came from. The sound became louder as he walked towards it. It slowly started to sound like a melody. A sweet melody played on a piano. Filly Hakke started to run towards the source of the sound. The melody was very clear now but suddenly he's path was blocked. A crowd of ponies was standing in front of him. He managed to get in between the crowding ponies. They were all starring at a huge scene while cheering. Hakke wasn't long about finding out that the music was coming from the scene. A grey pony with glasses and a black spiky mane was playing music the on a big very confused looking instrument. Hakke was glaring in awe, as the grey pony kept on playing the sweet piano melody. Shortly after, a heavy beat was added, kept pounding and pounding. Slowly, there was added more and more to the tune and suddenly it exploded into a multitude of electric sounds. Hakke started to shine as a huge smile appeared on his face. He started to feel warm and delightful inside... He was in love... In love with the music. It was the most fantastic feeling he ever felt in his entire life. His heart was beating as the bass pounded. he was enjoying this moment, more than anything ever. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, but suddenly someone layed a hoof on his shoulder. Hakke gasped in shock and turned around quick and to his surprise, it was his mother. "Hakke! I told you to stay at the toy store!" She yelled. Hakke looked surprised at his mom, then he looked back at the scene, then back to his mother. "But mom, I..." "Come with me now! We are going home," she said to him. "I am very disappointed Hakke." - - Flashback End - - - Hakke recognized the emotion he felt before. It was the same as when he was a kid. He WAS in love with Twilight, even though he just met her. He knew it just had to be those two together, or he hoped at least. Twilight and Hakke talked for quite a long time, and slowly getting to know each other. They talked about everything from hobbies to their pasts. Twilght told Hakke about her being picked by Princess Celestia herself as her student. Even though Hakke didn't like studying, he was very amazed about that. Hakke looked at the watch. The time was 9 PM. Only 3 hours until the summer sun celebration, which gave Hakke an idea. "Hey Twilight. I was thinking of something," he said. "Oh, what is it Hakke?" She asked sweetly. "Ehm, are you going to the summer sun celebration today?" "Of course I am! I do it every year. I have loved it since i was a little filly." "Oh great! Uh, i mean... Eh... Its because there is this after-party i promised Vinyl to show up at. I wanted to ask you if you maybe wanted to go there... With me?" Hakke asked nervously. Twilight laughed and Hakke started to blush. "Well, of course id like that," She replied happily. Hakke lightened up again. "Really! Oh that's just awesome!" He almost yelled. Twilight giggled again and smiled at Hakke. He made a huge smiling grimace on his face. Hakke thought of the time again. He wanted to visit Vinyl before the party started. "I have to go now though, ill see you at... Ehm... 11:40?" He asked Twilight curiously. Twilight smiled and answered him. "Yes, that seems like a good idea. I have to fix my self up a bit," Twilight said. "Oh awesome! Ill see you then!" He yelled as he left the library. Twilight sighed in delight and putted the two empty teacups away. As soon as Hakke closed the door to the library, he started jumping up and down in joy. "Yes, yes, yes, yes! I succeed! And got a date too!" He said to himself. He started to feel warm inside again. It ended up being a good day after all! Heart Beats - Chapter 5: Moving Closer♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 5: Moving Closer ♫ A happy and excited Hakke trotted off the Ponyville library. He finally found the mare he met earlier, and even got an appointment with her. The time was 9:25 PM, around 2 and a half hours until the summer sun celebration. Hakke suddenly thought of Vinyl Scratch. "I should probably go visit her before the party starts," he said to himself now trotting down a street in Ponyville. He headed for Vinyl's house, which was located near the center. Vinyl's housing was very big. She did make alot of money on her music, and she wasn't really the saving type of pony. He walked up to the front door and opened the it. He entered a big room with trophies and pictures hanging on the wall. Vinyl Scratch always loved to show of sometimes. Hakke walked towards the door at the end of the room and opened it when he got there and walked into the next room, looking around for Vinyl. "Hey Scratch! Where are ya at?" He yelled. What seemed to come out of nowhere, Hakke heard a voice in his right ear. "She's not here Hakke, you should have come earlier," the voice said. Hakke turned to the right and saw a grey Pony laying on the couch reading a book. The sight of the pony made him gasp. It was Vinyl's girlfriend, Octavia, the Violinist pony from the Canterlot Orchestra. "O-oh, Octavia, good to see you again," Hakke said nervously. Octavia moved her eyes onto Hakke. "Tsk, spare me for that Hakke. As I told you, Vinyl is not here," Octavia said moving her focus to the book she was reading. "She's not?" Hakke said questionably. "No, I just told you. I thought she was with you Hakke. She told me in the morning that she was going to visit a friend. That's mostly you for some reason," Octavia replied. Hakke remembered what Vinyl told him when they departed later that day, that she would be in the studio. "Oh man, how can i be so stupid?" He said face-hoofing himself. "That's not so unlikely," Octavia replied. Hakke looked down at her with a irritated grimace. She smiled provocative back. "She told me she went down the Studio, so she must be here," Hakke said. "I didn't see her walk in the front door, so I bet she's not here." Suddenly a loud repetetive boom sound appeared from another section of the house. It sounded like a loud and heavy bass from speakers. "Couldn't agree more with you, Octavia!" Hakke replied with a provocative tone back to Octavia. She grumped and continued reading the book and Hakke continued down the room and walked trough one of the other doors. There was a stairway in the next room, going down to the basement. That was where Vinyl kept all her music equipment and played LOUD music, also known as the studio. The boom sound from before was louder now. It was the bass pounding from the speakers. Vinyl didn't spare on any of the volume. Hakke walked down the stairs and entered the studio. Vinyl was standing at the mixer with her headset around the neck, bobbing her head to the beat. Of course she had her party glasses on too. Hakke walked up to her. "Hey Scratch! Whats up?" He said. Vinyl didn't hear a thing. The music was way too loud for her to hear anything. "Scratch!" He yelled now. Still no response. "TURN DOWN THE VOLUME VINYL!" He yelled even louder. Vinyl fell to the ground. "Woah, Hakke. Easy dude!" She said. Hakke face-hoofed again and as usual Vinyl didn't understand a thing. Vinyl got up on her hoofs again and turned off the music. She turned around and started talking to Hakke. "Whats up Hakke?" Did you meet Octavia in the living room?" She asked. "Erh, yea i did. Did you talk to her about your last party?" "Yea i did. She forgive me. I don't know how i ever could doubt that. She's the most awesome and sexy pony in all of Equestria!" Vinyl said smiling to Hakke. "Oh awesome! Is she playing at the party tonight?" Hakke asked. "Yes, we are playing together! Made an awesome new song with her a couple of weeks ago. The crowd is gonna go wild!" She replied. Hakke smiled back to Vinyl. "So, how was your hunt? Did you find that smexy mare from before?" She asked. "Oh yes, i found her! Her name is Twilight Sparkle and she lives in the Ponyville library." "In the library? Is she a nerd?" "What, no? She just likes to study," Hakke said sheepishly. "Thats kinda the same," Vinyl replied. Hakke sighed. "That doesn't really matter. I got a date with her tonight at the summer sun celebration," Hakke said. Hakke started to tell about his meeting with Twilight. How he met Rarity and Fluttershy and then found Twilight at the end in the library. He told about the things they talked about and that she was more than he imagined. Vinyl listened well and got an idea when Hakke finished talking. "Oh, shes comming to the party too then?" Vinyl asked. "Yes, I'm pretty sure she does that," Hakke replied. Vinyl took of the party glasses and headset and put it on the table. "Cool! Ill guarantee you, you two are gonna have a great night! Ill find something special to play for you two," Vinyl said, winking to Hakke. "Hehe, thanks Vinyl, but I just met her, I'm not even sure there's gonna be anything serious between me and her," he said. "I never said that Hakke, but there is a possibility!" Hakke agreed with Vinyl, but didn't tell her. Though it wasn't sure he was gonna get in a relationship with Twilight, he really wanted to. The thought of him and Twilight made him blush again. "Eh, Hakke? You' done dreaming?" She said. Hakke didn't hear her voice until she poked him. He shaked his head and started to scratch the back of his head with his hoof. Vinyl giggled. "Well, time is running out. The party will begin soon. I have to get to the club for preparations, so i am ready to play music for all the party ponies!" Vinyl said as she picked her stuff up again. "Yea, i should fix myself up a bit, probably gonna take a bath after all these "accidents" today. I feel kinda dirty." "Ill just see you at the party then!" Vinyl replied waving off to Hakke. "Yea, sure! It's gonna be great!" Hakke yelled back. Hakke was standing alone in the studio now. He wanted to get back home and take a bath if he just wanted the slightest chance to impress her. His only special talent was his music. As far as dating goes, he didn't have that much experience. He usually gets admired by mares around all of Equestria on his tours, but never really took the time to find one that he felt was special. Twilight haven't even heard of Hakke. That thought made Hakke happy for once. If she eventually fell in love with him, he wanted her to fall in love with HIM and not his popularity. After pondering a while over certain things, Hakke started walking home. The walk to his house wasn't awfully long, so Hakke decided not to rush. Time was 9:40 when he arrived at his house. He took a quick bath and groomed his mane a bit. He's nervousity wasn't as bad as before. After talking to Twilight it helped him loosen up a bit. Hakke's stomach started to rumble, which made him realize that he actually haven't ate all day. He grabbed some food from the fridge and fed himself up until his stomach was full. Hakke was ready for his date with Twilight now. The time was about 10:30 PM now. Still more than an hour till he was going to meet with Twilight. It took around 20 minutes to walk to Ponyville, so he didn't have to hurry. He got plenty of time, but nothing to do. "Okay, so i should probably do something useful while i wait," he said to himself, standing in the middle of the kitchen. He looked around the room and caught the sink in the corner of his eye. He walked up to it. There was no dishes to wash, nothing to clean up. He walked into his living room. Some papers were floating around on the table. It was about a new concert with some papers he had to sign first. All of them were already signed. All he needed was the mail mare to go pick it up, but she didn't deliver the rest of the week. His studio was really messy. He was working on a new song, but never finished. Last time he was working with it was before the party last night. He was gonna finish it tomorrow. Hakke sat down in his favourite chair and started to listen to music. It felt like he haven't done that for ages. Just sit down and relax while the sound of his music entered his ears. After listening to music for some time, Hakke almost fell asleep. He looked at the watch. "11:25. Heh, i got lots of time..." He said sleepy. Quick after closing his eyes, he burst up from the chair and breathed a huge gasp as he stood up. "11:25?! OH NO!" He yelled, bursting out the door heading towards Ponyville. Ponies started gathering around the center of Ponyville. They were all getting ready to see Princess Celestia raise the sun at the summer sun celebration. It was a yearly tradition, and second year In Ponyville straight. It's one of the most popular events of all time and even the most popular ponies from around Equestria showed up. Twilight was standing by herself In the middle of the crowd. She looked at the clock on the Ponyville Tower. The time was 11:43 and Hakke didn't show up yet. She was starting to feel worried. "Oh, what if he can't make it?" She thought to herself. Trough the huge crowd of ponies came Fluttershy and Rarity walking up to Twilight. "Good evening Twilight!" Rarity said. "Oh hey girls," Twilight replied. Rarity was wearing a new purple coloured dress, and Fluttershy wasn't dressed up. They quickly noticed that Twilight was worried about something. "Twilight, Is something bothering you?" Rarity asked. "Yes, you look a little sad Twilight. You shouldn't be since Its the summer sun celebration," Fluttershy commented. "Hmf, Its just about this stallion I meet, Hakke. He was supposed to be here 3 minutes ago," Twilight said with a frown. "Oh Hakke? He came into my boutique today, asking for you Twilight," Rarity said lifting her right hoof from the ground. Fluttershy stepped forward. "Yes, he came to my cottage today too. He seemed so nice," Fluttershy said. "Yes he told me that today. He came to the library and talked for a while and ended up with him inviting me to go with him to the summer sun celebration, but he haven't showed up yet." "I'm sure he will be here Twilight! Don't get too sad now. Maybe he's just slowed down a little by something," Rarity said, trying to cheer up the frowning Twilight. "Yea, I hope so," Twilight said. Suddenly, Rarity and Fluttershy was pushed away, and Hakke stepped forward panting after he had been running without stopping. "Hah, hah, Twilight! I'm so sorry for being late! I almost fell asleep and then time just slipped away!" Hakke said, still panting. Twilight's face shined in a smile when she heard the voice of Hakke. She almost thought he never would show up. "It's okay Hakke, I'm just glad that you showed up after all!" She said smiling to Hakke. Hakke smiled back at the purple mare. "You look beautiful in the moonlight Twilight," Hakke said to Twilight. She started to blush. "O-oh my, thank you Hakke," she replied. From behind, a pony exhaled a quiet "Ahem". Hakke turned around and noticed that Rarity and Twilight was there too. "Eh, Rarity. Fluttershy... Hi!" Hakke said, again starting to rubbing his hoof against the back of his head. Rarity giggled and Fluttershy started to smile. "We'll leave you two alone for this one," she said as they walked away into the crowd. Hakke and Twilight was standing there alone now, except all the other ponies that also was gathered around. "Thanks for coming with me Twilight. I usually don't go to the summer sun celebration," Hakke said to Twilight. "Oh, why not? It's such a fantastic sight! Princess Celestia raising the sun!" "I don't really know. I just always feel so lonely when I go here," Hakke said. Twilight looked confused at Hakke. "Well, don't you have some friends to go with then? I always watch it with my loyal assistant, Spike. Unfortunately he couldn't make it today since he is doing royal business in Canterlot," Twilight said. Hakke looked down and started to move his hoof around in the grass. "Hmm, friends. I don't really have that many close friends. Only Vinyl, but she's always doing something else these kinda days." "Oh, that sounds pretty sad actually. Well, good that I'm here then. I always love watching Celestia raise the sun," Twilight said looking up at the bright starry sky. Hakke looked at Twilight for moment. She looked back and smiled. "The princess is just such a great pony! She has been a very big inspiration in my life. Since i was a tiny little filly, I have always admired Celestia. The way she rules Equestria with law and order. Nopony is being left behind, and she's also the most generous and care taking pony of all time!" Twilight said. Hakke was impressed by the speech of Twilight. He had never met a pony before that was so close to the princess. "Wow, you and her aren't just teacher and student. She's also a very near friend of you," Hakke said. "Yea, that's actually quite right," she replied. Suddenly, a fanfare started to play. It was the royal guards, signaling that the big event was about to begin. "Oh, Its beginning!" Hakke said surprised. He had never seemed so surprised before about the summer sun celebration. With Twilight, it all seemed so much greater. He was enjoying the thrill. "Yea, you are right!" She said with excitement in her voice too. The fanfare stopped playing as the drums continued from were they stopped. Two big curtains was drawn from each other on top of a big stage, and behind it was Celestia. She stepped forward and everypony started clapping their hooves in the grass. The honoured princess Celestia bowed in front of the crowd. She closed her eyes and the crowd stayed shut. She lifted her head and her big majestic alicorn horn started to glow magically as a beam of shining energy was launched form the horn and up in the sky. As the beam faded out, a huge magical sphere appeared at the end of the beam. The crowd gasped in awe, as the royal alicorn flew into the sky and penetrated the sphere with her horn. The sphere exploded into a huge glowing light, that spread all over Equestria, leaving no trace of itself. Only Celestia was in the sky now with spread wings and hooves. She send the light all over Equestria, causing the sun to rise. It was a slow process, but also very beautiful sight. "Wow! This is... So beautiful," Hakke said in awe. All the ponies on the field sat down and started to watch the sun raise slowly. The rising sun created a very romantic atmosphere, as ponies around the field started enjoying the sight with their close loved ones. Hakke and Twilight sat down too. They where watching the sun for a couple of minutes, when Twilight suddenly leaned her head against Hakke's body. He got goosebumps when his body collided with hers, but it didn't take long for him to get used to it. Now he felt it again. The warmth. The love. It burned inside of him again. This time he was sure. This was love. The same kind of love he felt with the music, but stronger. Much stronger. After looking at the sunrise for a while, Twilight closed her eyes and was about to fell asleep. Hakke noticed her body lean more into his. She was almost dreaming away. Hakke chuckled quietly and tried to wake her up again. "Hey, Twilight. We better go home before you fall asleep in the grass." "Huh? Oh, did i fell asleep? Oh, sorry. It wasn't beca..." "Easy Twilight, Its quite alright. Lets just leave now, Ill follow you home." "But, we will miss the rest of the sunrise if we don't stay," Twilight said. "We already watched alot of it. You are too tired. Look, you almost fell asleep," Hakke said with a smile on his face. "Okay then," Twilight said, getting up on her hooves. The two ponies started walking their way home. They arrived at the Ponyville library at 5:45 AM. Since Celestia was raising the sun, the time was passing by much faster than Its used to. They had been watching the sunrise together for 45 minutes. Hakke opened the door for Twilight and followed her into the library. Hakke stood in the doorway to make sure she got to sleep. "It was a wonderful night Hakke, I really hope we can do more things together," Twilight said sleepy. "My pleasure. It was great to meet you too Twilight. Ill stop by another day!" He said as he was leaving the house. "Great! Goodnight then," Twilight said and went to bed. Hakke walked away home after a great night with Twilight, feeling like they already was getting much closer to each other. He thought about visiting her again tomorrow, but was too tired to take any decisions now. After walking for a while he arrived at his home. He walked in the front door and jumped straight to bed. What he didn't knew was that he had forgotten something. Something he promised not to forget. Something he "woudln't miss for the world". Heart Beats - Chapter 6: Hard To Remember♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 6: Hard To Remember ♫ The time was 1:25 PM. The sun was shining, the birds was singing and everypony was outside spending time with their friends. A glorious new day. Hakke though was still lying in his bed. He was too exhausted to get up after yesterdays trouble. He had been in Ponyville since around 10:00 AM yesterday. As much as he wanted to stay in bed, he knew it was time to get up. He slept way over than he used to. Hakke took a refreshing bath and groomed his mane. It had gotten alot muffled while he was sleeping. Right after that he went to the kitchen to get some breakfast. There wasn't much to choose from in the fridge. It was almost empty since he haven't filled it up for days. He picked some stuff from the almost empty fridge. Some apples and a glass of milk. Nothing else. At the table in the kitchen there was a little radio. After sitting down he turned it on. The radio quality wasn't that great, but he had always loved his old-school radio. He kept in in good condition to make sure it would keep working. There was lots of radio channels to pick from. He turned it over to the Equestria daily radio channel and started eating his breakfast. "Hello everypony out there! Welcome to Equestria Daily! This is your host, Sethisto, co hosted by an old friend, Neon Lights, also know as "DJ W1SH"! We welcome you to the Studio Neon. May I ask you, how have you been the last couple of months?" "Well, thank you Seth! And I have been just fine. Been checking out on some of the up and commig pony musicians." "Can you tell us a little about it Neon?" "Yes of course I can Seth! One of the most recent and popular artists is Hakke from Canterlot. He's new in the electronic music industry and is hitting hard with his overwhelming tracks! He have been performing alot of shows recently in places like Phillydelphia and Manehatten. After all this pony has drawn alot of attention the last couple of months." Hakke smiled by the words spoke from the co-host in the radio. He sat down in his favourite chair and continued listening, while gnawing on an apple. "Wow, he must be enjoying all this fame suddenly flooding in. We should get him on the studio on day." "Indeed! I have heard rumors about him making a new song lately. Lets just hope that its true. I would really like to see some more from this amazing artist." Hakke found it entertaining the way they talked about him on the radio. A mixed emotion of happiness and satisfaction lightened up inside of Hakke. "What else is new in the music industry Neon?" "Well, we got everypony's Vinyl Scratch also know as DJ-PON3", up with a new track yesterday! It was performed live at the summer sun celebration after party." Hakke's eyes widened up. "Vinyl Scratch did a very unusual collaboration track with Octavia from the Canterlot orchestra. Its not often you see such different genres getting mixed together. But I tell you, it was hitting hard!" Said the co-host, Neon Lights. Hakke suddenly remembered something he shouldn't have forgotten. He promised Vinyl to be at the after party yesterday, but didn't show up. He had totally forgotten it. The only thing he was focused about was his date with Twilight. "Oh my, why am i so... NGGHHH!" Hakke said to himself in anger. He stood by the table next to the radio, trying to figure out what to do. The only idea he could think of was to go to Ponyville and say sorry to her. He made a huge mistake and he felt awful about it. Hakke turned off the radio and started walking out the front door and towards Ponyville. After a walk to Ponyville, Hakke arrived at Vinyl's house, grabbed the doorknob and pushed, but the door was locked. After that he tried knocking with his hoof on the door. No response. Hakke assumed that no-one was home, to his bad luck. "I really hope she will forgive me," Hakke thought to himself as he walked frowning away from Vinyl's property. He decided to take a stroll trough Ponyville to get something to drink. The weather was still sunny, and everypony was outside. Foals playing in the park, gardeners in their gardens and other ponies hanging out with each other. Only Hakke seemed to be alone right now. Suddenly he heard a voice form behind. "Oh Hakke, hello!" The voice said. It was Twilight Sparkle, and she was with another pony. A pink pony with a frazzled mane. A little smile appeared on Hakke's face. "Twilight!" He replied to her. The pink pony suddenly interrupted. "OH OH OH, you must be that pony Twilight have been talking about all the time, Hakke right? Oh I have been sooooo excited to meet you!" the pink pony said jumping up and down. Hakke took a step back. "Eh, Hi!" Hakke said nervously. "Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! So nice to meet you Hakke!" She replied. Hakke looked at Twilight. She chuckled. "So Hakke, if you are not doing anything right now, do you want to come with me and Pinkie to Sugarcube Corner? We are going to pick up some cupcakes i ordered for a picnic today," Twilight said. Pinkie Pie interrupted again. "OH YES! Cupcakes, cupcakes, cupcakes! You should tooootally go with us to Sugarcube Corner! It'll be tooootally fun!" Pinkie Pie said. Hakke thought of Vinyl for a spell. Where could she be? There was no trace of her here, so he decided to go with Pinkie and Twilight. "Uhm, yea sure! Who doesn't like cupcakes?" He said with a smile on his face. Twilight and Pinkie smiled back. "Great! You can come with us to the picnic too. Then you can meet the rest of my beloved friends!" "Yea, sure! I would love to," Hakke replied. And then the three ponies walked off to Sugarcube Corner. The walk to Sugar Cube Corner wasn't long. As they entered, a sweet smell of cake frosting filled Hakke's nose. He took a deep sniff and exhaled in delight afterwards. There was sweets everywhere. On the shelves, behind the counter and on the tables. Hakke was drooling, looking around the room at the delicious sweets. Behind the corner was Mrs. Cup Cake. The co-owner of Sugarcube Corner, also owned by her husband, Mr. Carrot Cake. "Oh, hello Pinkie! Hello Twilight! Is there anything I can help you with?" Mrs. Cake said. Hakke was standing behind Pinkie and Twilight, still spellbound by all the sweets. Mrs. Cake tried to see if she could recognize him, but she couldn't. "Oh, Hello Mrs. Cake. We were just here to pick up some cupcakes I ordered." "Oh yes my dear, I have them just right here," Mrs. Cake replied and grabbed a box from under the counter. There was a small rag of paper with the name "Twilight" on it. "Here you go Twilight! And try not to mess up the frosting like last time," Mrs. Cake said, smiling to Twilight. "Oh, yea. Haha, I wont mess it up, i swear," she replied followed up by a small giggle. Mrs. Cake was still wondering who Hakke was. "Twilight, may I ask you about who your friend is back there? I don't think I've seen him before," Mrs. Cake said. Hakke shake his head and snapped out of his dreamland with cakes and pies everywhere and started looking confused at Mrs. Cake. "This is Hakke, a friend of mine," Twilight said, introducing Hakke to Mrs. Cake. Hakke still looked confused at Mrs. Cake and suddenly figured out what was going on. "Oh, hello Mrs. Cake. Nice to meet you Hakke said, stepping forward and started to smile. "Nice to meet you too Hakke. Are you new here in Ponyville?" He asked. "Ehm, not really. I have been here before but I'm settled in Canterlot." "Canterlot? Impressive. Feel free to come by and buy some sweets if you want to," Mrs Cake said to Hakke. "Of course Mrs. Cake!" He said as the 3 ponies left Mrs. Cake in Sugarcube Corner. After getting the cupcakes, Hakke, Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle started walking towards the Ponyville park. "So, who else is gonna show up there Twilight?" Hakke asked. "All of my best friends," Twilight said. "And who's your best friends?" Hakke asked. "Oh, yea. Hehe. You already met Rarity and Fluttershy, and Pinkie too. So, it must be Rainbow Dash and Applejack you haven't met yet," Twilight said as they walked. "Yes, they are the best friends a pony EVER could have!" Pinkie Pie said, jumping into the air. Hakke smiled back at Pinkie and Twilight. "Hehe, I'm very excited to meet them. If they are as sweet as you girls, It sure can't be bad," Hakke said, smiling back at Pinkie and Twilight. Twilight chuckled by the words of Hakke. She also blushed a little. "Oh, that was so nice of you Hakke! You are a sweet pony too!" Pinkie Pie said, clapping Hakke on his head with her hoof. Hakke laughed. They arrived at the park. Many other ponies was gathered there with friends to enjoy the sunny weather in each other's company. The peach trees started to show up in horizon. Near two trees, there was a spotted blanket placed on the ground. 4 ponies was near the blanket, packing out plates and various kinds of food. Hakke recognized Fluttershy and Rarity at the blanket. The two other ponies was unknown to him. One of them was orange with a yellow mane and tail. She was also wearing a hat. The other one was laying on the blanket wearing sunglasses. She had a rainbow coloured mane and tail and her coat was cyan. "Ah, there they are!" Pinkie Pie said. She started jumping towards the 4 other ponies. "Hi girls! We are here with the cupcakes!" Pinkie yelled. They started noticing her jumping up and down. "Hello Pinkie Pie, good to see you," Fluttershy said flapping her wings in joy. "Well, hello Pinkie Pie. Might good to see ya ther'!" The mare with the hat said. The cyan coloured pony lifted her sunglasses. "Sup Pinkie," she said letting her sunglasses slide down in front of her eyes again. Hakke and Twilight was near the blanket now. The 4 other ponies started looking at Hakke. "Well, isn't that Hakke and Twilight? Good to see you both here!" Rarity said walking up to Hakke and Twilight. "Oh Hakke! Good to see you here. And you too Twilight of course," Fluttershy said lifting her hoof and flapping her wings again. Pinkie Pie started jumping up and down again, giggling. The two other ponies just stared in confusion on Hakke and the other gathered around him. "Oh, Applejack! Rainbow Dash! You haven't met my new friends here, Hakke! He's from canterlot," Twilight said stepped to the side to show Hakke to Applejack and Rainbow Dash. "Hello," Hakke said nervously. All those encounters made him confused. Applejack stepped forward to greet Hakke. "Hello Hakke, I'm Applejack. Nice to meet ya," Applejack said crossing her legs. "Nice to meet you too, Applejack. Nice to meet all of you!" Hakke said. Rainbow Dash got up on her hoofs and flew up in the air, did a backflip, and landed smoothly in front of Hakke. "I'm Rainbow Dash! The coolest pony in ponyville!" She said proudly strutting her chest forward. "Nice one Rainbow Dash. But I'm sure bout' the fact that there is nopony in equestria cooler than me!" Hakke said teasing. Rainbow Dash laughed. "Haha, like so! Ill show you one day." Twilight Sparkle giggled. When it came to it, Hakke was pretty good at socializing, even though he easily got overwhelmed and nervous. The ponies sat down on the blanket and started talking and eating all the Delicious food they all had brought with them. "So, Hakke. What's a pony like you doing here in Ponyville? Dontchu have other important stuff to do in Canterlot?" Rainbow Dash asked Hakke. "Hmm, not really. Me and my friend Vinyl just wanted to hang a little out in Ponyville for a day, since she was gonna play at the summer sun celebration after party." Hakke thought of Vinyl again, and how he forgot her last night. He felt really bad about it, but didn't know where to look for her. "Wait, wait, wait. Did you just say Vinyl? As in Vinyl Scratch also known as DJ-PON3?" Rainbow Dash asked suprised. "Yea, she's a close friend of mine. She helped me grow in the music community. That i'm very grateful for," Hakke said, taking a bite of a cupcake. Rainbow Dash's eyes widened. "Wow, I don't believe it! You know Vinyl Scratch? Awesome! I just gotta meet her one day. She makes some LEGENDARY tracks!" Rainbow said. "Haha, sure, why not," Hakke said laughing. Rainbow Dash was over excited about the opportunity and did a very quiet squeal which made Hakke laugh again. "You said Vinyl helped you grow in the music community? That must mean that you make music too," Rarity said, sipping to a cup of tea. "Yep, that's quite right! You probably never heard of me since I'm not that popular in Ponyville yet." "Ah, I see. Well, I hope you'll get far with what you like then Hakke," Rarity said and smiled. "Thank you Rarity," He said smiling back at her. The 7 ponies continued on talking about different things in their lives. Hakke was having a really good time. He never really had that many close friends. They talked, laughed and had fun for hours, until the weather started to change. Fluttershy sensed a small raindrop landing on her forehead. "Oh no, I think its about rain!" She said to the other ponies. They started to pack their things together and head towards home. Hakke was standing with no options. Twilight looked back at him. "Hakke, come with me if you don't want to get all wet," she said. Hakke ran towards Twilight and they ran together, heading for the Ponyville library. When they arrived it was already too late. They were both soaking wet. "Oh shoot. I'm gonna get some towels," she said and ran off to the bathroom. She returned with two towels, one for each of them. They rubbed and rubbed all of their coats to get some of the water off. They suceeded, but both of them ended up with puffy coat and manes. They looked at each other and started to laugh uncontrollably. "Haha, you look redicoulous Hakke!" Twilight said. "Not to mention yourself miss! Haha!" --Continues in Chapter 7-- Heart Beats - Chapter 7: A Table For Two♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 7: A Table For Two ♫ Outside the library, the rain was pouring down from the now dark sky. The sun was hidden behind the dark stormy clouds, making the before sunny day dark and gloomy. It began to thunder outside. A storm was approaching. Luckily, everypony was inside. Wrapped up in their carpets nice and dry. Hakke was inside with Twilight. They were lying on a carpet looking trough a photo album owned by Twilight. It was filled with pictures of her and her friends. They had been trough so many things together, so there was plenty of memories to save. Hakke didn't really have any memorial photos of him and his friends, reasonably because he didn't have any. Only Vinyl. His only real friend. And he let her down yesterday. Maybe she'd never talk to him again, he thought so. "Oh, look at this one! It's some pictures we took at a slumber party at Fluttershy's cottage," Twilight said. She pointed with her hoof on the picture of the 6 ponies dressed up in pyjamas. Hakke chuckled quietly at the sight of Twilight in her purple pyjamas with small white stars printed on. "What is it? What's so funny?" Twilight asked. "Its just... You look kinda cute in your pyjamas," Hakke said. Twilight laughed followed by Hakke. She blushed a little, but nothing to mention really. They flipped the page and another picture appeared. It was a picture of the 6 ponies giving each other mud masks. Rarity was pouring mud on Fluttershy's face while Twilight was pouring it at Pinkie's. Rainbow Dash and Applejack was throwing lumps of mud at each other. Hakke laughed again. "Haha! I see that Rainbow Dash and Applejack aren't the most feminine mares at all!" Hakke said laughing. "Haha, you are completely right!" She replied now smiling again at Hakke. The storm was getting really bad and intimidating outside. Hakke looked at the window only to see the pouring rain dripping down on the glass. The rain made him in a good mood, but the thought of getting home tired him much. He breathed out in a big sigh. Twilight noticed Hakke's sigh and looked at him in confusion. She looked towards the window right after and quickly figured out what was bothering him. "If you are having trouble with the storm outside, you are always welcome to stay here the night over Hakke. I got an extra bed," she said and smiled. Hakke looked at Twilight's face and lightened up a bit inside. "I'd love to Twilight," Hakke said. "Great! Then we can have our own little slumber party," Twilight said smiling. A weird chill went trough Hakke's body causing him to get a bewildered facial expression. Just for a moment, Hakke thought she meant something else when she said slumber party. He shook his head and wiped the thought out of his mind and to cover up on it he smiled to Twilight and chuckled. "Yes, yes of course! I feel like drinking some tea," Hakke said. "Let me go make some then," Twilight said. She closed the photo album and put it on the shelf, back were it was taken from the beginning. Hakke trotted around in the library. He found that same book he read the other day. Rolando and Julietta. He picked up the book and flipped the pages and ended up on a random one again. "Dear friend! I have never been so happy to see you! Do you have any joyful news to provide me with?" "Good to see you too, Rolando old friend." "How is my beautiful love? Is she getting along with her life and her parents? Does she miss me? Oh, what a silly question!" "...I'm very sorry to tell you this Rolando... But Julietta has past away. I saw her, lying cold and lifeless in a coffin..." "...No...My dear friend, what are you telling me? This can't be true! What is these lies you tell me?!" "I ain't telling lies my friend. Its true, and I'm very sorry for you... There is nothing else I can do." Rolando jumped onto his friend and grabbed his coat and yelled with tear filled eyes. "NO! This can't be true! Please tell me it's not true! How can i possibly go trough the rest of my miserable life out here with nothing to hold on! No-one to love..." "I-I'm sorry Rolando... I'm sorry..." Hakke heard Twilight's voice once again in his ear. "You can burrow the book if you like it," she said. A chill went trough Hakke again. He closed the book and put it back on the shelf quickly. "No, it's fine. I'm just... skimming some pages in there. Nothing special," he said, again rubbing his hoof in the back of his head. Twilight laughed and placed the cups on the table. Hakke sat down next to Twilight at the table. Like last time they were together, they talked about alot of things. Hakke didn't feel nervous or shy anymore. When they were having conversation, it all came naturally. They talked. They laughed. They shared. The words he spoke. It felt like they had known each other for years. It felt good. Really good. Time passed by and it started to get darker outside. Even though the bright sunny day was ruined by the stormy weather, Hakke had a really good time with Twilight. Every minute he spend with her felt like they were drawn closer. Even though it was only about 1 - 2 days ago they met. Though, every time their bodies touched, a chill went trough his spine. That part he haven't got used to. After they finished up the tea, they went back to look at some pictures. This time it was pictures of Twilight in her foal-hood. She wasn't really sure about the idea, but since Hakke insisted to see them, she gave in. There were also lots of photos in this album of filly Twilight, and how she was tackling the problems that occurred on her path. Hakke giggled in between pictures. He found some of them very entertaining and some of them cute. A picture appeared of Twilight covered under some books that was placed in order to look like a small house. Beneath the picture there was a description. "The monsters can't get me while I read now!" Hakke burst into laughter. "Stop it, I was just filly," she said with a smile on her face. Hakke kept laughing. She grabbed a pillow and threw it at Hakke. The impact caused Hakke to stop laughing making a "ouch" come out of his mouth. He gave Twilight a teasing look and picked up another pillow and threw it at her. She fell to the ground and burst out in laughter too. Both of them was running around, hitting each other with each of their pillows. They ran around for a while, hitting each other with pillows avoiding to cause any harm. Hakke ran towards Twilight to hit her again, she laughed and dropped her pillow. Just as Hakke was about to hit her, he stumbled over a book and crashed into Twilight. They rolled around on the floor and Hakke ended on top of her. Twilight lay on the ground with closed eyes. Hakke got another chill trough his spine as he held his breath. Twilight opened her eyes and met Hakke's deep brown eyes. Their bodies were pushed up against each other. She blushed uncontrollably as she was unable to move because of Hakke pushing her to the ground with his body. Both of them remained silent and looked at each other. Hakke caught Twilight's eyes and stared for a while. Suddenly Twilight smiled and said something. "Ehm, excuse me?" She said with a awkward smile. Hakke quickly got the point and moved away from Twilight. She sat up and slided a hoof down her mane to keep the look. "I-I'm so sorry Twilight! That really wasn't supposed to happen," Hakke said nervously. "...It's... Ehm, It's okay... Hehe," Twilight said blushing a little again. It became silent in the room again. The two ponies were sitting on the floor next to each other. Hakke rubbed the back of his head again. "Should I... Ehm, go get some more tea?" Twilight asked in attempt to break the awkward silence. Hakke simply nodded an said: "Yea, sure..." The two ponies sat down again and drank some tea together. They quickly forgot the awkward moment from before and got into talking again. Twilight looked up at the watch and let out a surprised gasp. "Wow, look at the time. Its almost 11pm," Twilight said pointing her hoof at the watch on the wall. Hakke looked up at the watch and as she said, it was almost 11pm. 10:56 to be exact. "I'm actually getting kinda tired," Hakke said rubbing his eyes. "Well, lets go upstairs then. All this running around has made me tired and exhausted too," She replied. They quickly drank the last of their tea and headed upstairs. "WHAT?" Twilight suddenly yelled. Hakke looked confused at the even more confused looking purple mare. Twilight looked panicly around the room. Hakke got even more confused. "Ehm, what's the problem?" Hakke asked quietly. Twilight turned around. Her pupils has gotten huge. "The spare bed is missing! How can that be?" Twilight yelled. "What? Your extra bed is missing?" "Yes, exactly! It was here the other day!" "How can a bed disappear? I mean, It's a BED!" Hakke said. "I don't know! It's just... gone...," Twilight replied. She walked over to her own bed. There was a note on the shelf next to her bed. She lowered her head to read the it. "Dear Twilight. I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed the spare bed since I'm picking up a friend to travel with me to Canterlot. The royal guard is picking me and my friend up here later. I'm sorry about telling you this so late. Hope you aren't gonna need it the next past days! Sincerely, your number one assistant, Spike" "...What..." Twilight said. Hakke walked to her and saw the note on the shelf. He read it and looked at Twilight again. Both of them looked at Twilight's bed again. Hakke started rubbing the back of his head. Again. "Ehm, maybe I should just..." "No, no, its alright! We can just... you know, share my bed," Twilight said trying to sound like she wasn't feeling uncomfortable about it. Hakke smiled back at Twilight. "Uhm, sure then." The two ponies got under the blanket. They looked at each other and smiled as Twilight turned off the lights. "Goodnight Hakke." "Goodnight Twilight." Both the ponies had fallen deeply asleep. Each got half of the bed and shared the blanket. Twilight was rolling around, trying to find a comfortable spot in her sleep. After rolling around for a while she accidentally rolled up on the left side of Hakke, with a hoof around his stomach. She hugged around his body and moaned quietly. She was still asleep. Hakke woke as she moaned and found to his surprise, Twilight Sparkle clinging upon him. A chill went trough his spine again, like every time him and Twilight's bodies collided. He tried to mangle out of her grip but was unsuccessful. If he wiggled to much, she would wake up. There was nothing to do. Hakke tried to relax but couldn't. He blushed and a drop of sweat slided down his forehead. Twilight was still attached to Hakke. His heart was beating faster and faster and he's breathing became harder. He looked at Twilight as she was laying there sleeping. He smiled. Never before had he met such a beautiful mare. Hakke leaned his head back and relaxed. He wanted to enjoy this moment, even though it felt really wrong. --Continues in Chapter 8-- Heart Beats - Chapter 8: Festive Nights♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 8: ♫ Hakke slightly opened his eyes. He smiled. The bedsheets were soft and warm. A good night sleep. He looked around and quickly remembered the night before. No-one else was lying in the bed. He remembered Twilight laying next to him. Where was she? Was she mad at him because of last night? Some noise was coming from the room next to him. The door opened and Twilight stepped out. "Goodmoooorning! Have you been sleeping well Hakke?" She said smiling. Her horn was glowing. "Ehm, good-morning. Uh, yes I have slept great," he replied. His mane was all frazzled and messy. "Haha, someone needs some proper mane care," Twilight said giggling. Hakke slided a hoof trough his mane and realized how messy it was. Twilight giggled again. "I cooked some breakfast for you! Let's go downstairs and eat," she said. Hakke grabbed a brush and groomed his mane quickly. It wasn't perfect, but it didn't really matter. The two ponies went downstairs with the breakfast Twilight had made for them. After they finished eating breakfast, Hakke decided to return home. They said farewell and gave each other a hug. Hakke was now trotting trough Ponyville. On his way home, he passed by Vinyl's house. He stopped and looked at the entrance, considering to walk up to the door and knock. He still haven't talked to her since the time they were together right before the summer sun celebration. He walked up to the door and lifted his hoof in order to knock. He held the hoof still "Maybe I should... No, not now. I'll come by later," he said to himself and headed straight home. He arrived at his front door and unlocked it. Felt like he haven't been home for days. He stepped inside and got himself a glass of apple juice and settled down in his favourite chair once again. The radio was still standing on the table. Reaching his hoof out for the radio, he turned it on. It started playing music. He recognized the song. It was one of Vinyl's. She played it at his birthday last year as a special birthday present. That was the best birthday in his entire life. The song ended after a couple of minutes and the hosts started to talk again. It was still Seth and Neon Lights from yesterday on the Equestria Daily radio. "And that was another single from DJ-PON3. Now, back to Neon Lights aka DJ-W1SH with some news in the world of musicians here in equestria!" "Thank you, Seth. Now that we already are talking about PON3, I got some news concerning this lovely musician. She's currently touring around in Equestria with her new EP "Beats n' Strings" featuring Octavia from the Canterlot Orchestra." Hakke let his ears flop down and frowned as he realized the current situation. "Well, that explains why she isn't home," he said, followed up by a deep sigh. He sipped from the apple juice and laid back in the chair. Another song from Vinyl started playing in the radio. Didn't really improve his current mood. After some time in the chair listening to Equestria Radio, he decided to continue working on the song he left incomplete some days ago. It was quite a mess in his studio. Notes lying everywhere. He picked them up and started to skim trough them. It was quite a mess and it was hard for him to organize them and put them in the right order. He thought of Vinyl again and about the gift she gave him. He shouldn't have let her down the other day. After all, she was his best friend. Hakke threw all the notes in the trash can and started writing new ones. He wanted to make up for his mistake by doing the same thing she did for him last year. Write her a song. Hakke spend hours working in the studio. The production of the new song was going pretty well. He was done with the lyrics and already started experimenting with a melody. As he was sitting in his studio tapping on his keyboard, he heard a noise coming from outside the door. He walked out of the studio and opened the front door. All he saw was the mail mare flying away. He looked at his mailbox. It was open and a letter was sticking out of it. He grabbed the letter and looked at the front of it. To: Hakke From: Twilight Sparkle Hakke brought the letter inside the house and laid it on the table in the living room. He went out in the kitchen to grab some more apple juice and settled down in the chair again with the letter. After he opened it he read it thoroughly. My dear friend Hakke. Since last time you, I and my friends were together went a little off the edge, I want to invite you to another slumber party at Rarity's house. All the others are gonna be there. I was hoping that you also could show up, so you can get to know them better. I hope that I'm not asking to soon. If you want to come and got the time, come at 8 pm. Your friend, Twilight Sparkle. Hakke smiled in happiness as he read the letter. He loved all the time he had spend with Twilight so far and could only say yes to such an opportunity. After all, he was curious to know more about Twilight's friends. He looked at the watch. The time was 4:54 pm by now. Still got some time to work on the song he was making for Vinyl whenever she got home. He went back into the studio and continued tapping on the keyboard. The time was 6:30 pm. Twilight Sparkle was helping Rarity with the preparations for the slumber party later that day. Twilight was the first one to show up. Fluttershy should be there soon too. Twilight was preparing the food when Rarity walked up to her and started talking. "Soooooo Twilight. Are you getting along with this handsome stallion you have been talking to lately?" She asked curiously. Twilight stammered nervously as she was about to answer Rarity. "U-uhm... What do you mean Rarity?" She said. Rarity laughed. "Hahaha, Twilight. Don't make me laugh, its obvious that you got something on Hakke," she said smiling to Twilight. She blushed a little and put an awkward smile on her face. "Hehe, ehm. We're really just friends... Nothing more than that," Twilight said still blushing. She wasn't really sure about what Rarity meant in what she was saying. "Hm, just friends?" Rarity said teasing. "Y-yea, just friends..." "Well, do you like him?" "Uhm... Yes, yes of course I like him... As a friend. I-I don't think there's more than that..." "You don't think so? Well, I think he likes you," Rarity said as she turned around to continue with her own decoration. Twilight's eyes widened up. She teleported in front of Rarity and held her back. "How do you know that?" Twilight said curiously. Rarity simply walked around Twilight as she continued talking. "Hm, I heard a little bee buzz about it the other day," she said teasing again. "Tell me, who said that?" "I can't. It's a secret!" "Aww, please Rarity! Tell me!" "I wont," she said smiling. Twilight grunted and continued the with food preparations. Rarity giggled and did the same. Later that evening, Fluttershy came in trough the front door. She was holding a basket in her mouth filled with tools needed to play a few party games, like pin the tail on the pony. She put the basket on the table and slided a hoof over her forehead, whiping some sweat off. "Oh girls, I'm so sorry! I wanted to come earlier but got caught up in helping a patient. I hope that I didn't miss anything," she said exhausted after been rushing to Rarity's. "Oh, It's quite alright Fluttershy! You didn't miss a thing. The others will be here in about half an hour I think," Rarity said. She grabbed the basket with party stuff and walked away with it. "Oh wonderful! Who else is going to be here?" Fluttershy asked smiling. "Uhm, just the girls actually. Hakke might show up. I sent him an invitation too," Twilight said. Fluttershy smile widened. "Oh, wonderful! He's such a nice stallion. I hope he's not going to feel uncomfortable," Fluttershy said as her smile suddenly turned into a frown. "What do you mean Fluttershy?" Twilight asked worried. "I mean... Like... There's no other stallions here... He's gonna be the only one with us 6 girls," Fluttershy said, rubbing her hoof in the floor. Twilight eyes widened a bit. She haven't really thought of that. He didn't seem to feel uncomfortable at the picnic. "Haha! Fluttershy! Don't think about it that way. I'm sure we're all going to have lots of fun tonight!" She said uplifting. A small smile appeared on Fluttershy's face. "O-okay Twilight. If you say it, I believe you," she said. Twilight smiled at Fluttershy and she automatically smiled back. They continued with the last of the preparations as the time was getting closer to 8. Hakke was In Ponyville by now. He looked at the watch. The time was 7:52 pm. He had to hurry up if he was going to make it in time. Luckily he remembered the road to Rarity's house. As he was trotting away he stumbled into one of the ponies from yesterday's picnic. The one with cyan coat and a rainbow coloured mane. She flew over his head and stopped by to say hi. "Oh, you are that guy from yesterday, aren't you?" She said hovering above him. "Yes, It's me, Hakke! You must be Rainbow Dash, right?" He said. Rainbow Dash landed elegantly in front of him. "Yea, that's me! Where are you going?" She asked. "Ehm, to Rarity's. She's having a slumber party tonight." "Oh, are you invited too? Wow, that's pretty cool. It's usually just us 6 girls... Might spice things up a bit with some change," she said, winking to Hakke. He chuckled.. Rainbow Dash was okay. She was cool and not too shy. Still, Twilight was the one he had in mind. "Slumber parties are cool. We do them once in a while. Usually at Twilight's, because she's the one diggin' it the most," Rainbow said. "Haha! I think it's pretty cool. Slumber parties. Just chillin' in some relaxing clothing with friends. Have only been at one though, with Twilight the other day." "Hehe, yea. They are awesome indeed. It's gonna be great tonight!" "Indeed." They walked together the rest of the road to Rarity's house. They knocked on the door and Rarity opened, greeting the two ponies. "Hakke! Rainbow! Lovely to see both of you!" She said to both of them. Twilight heard Rarity and ran to the door. "Hakke! Hi!" She said. They walked inside and Hakke stepped up in front of Twilight. "Hello again, Twilight. Long time no see, hehe," he said with a sarcastic tone. They gave each other a hug and continued inside the house. Rarity giggled quietly as the two ponies hugged. She looked around in the room. Everypony was here. Twilight, Hakke, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, Pinkie Pie and of course herself. Everything was ready. Hakke was talking with all the other poinies. Rarity walked into the middle of all the other ponies. Her horn started to glow and the other ponies directed their attention at her. "Okay everypony! You know the drill. Everyone has to put on their pyjamas!" She said as she brought up 6 pyjamas with her unicorn magic. Everyone got their pyjamas, except Hakke. Standing in between the other ponies with nothing but his shudder shades resting on his ears. "Ohoho, I haven't forgot you Hakke!" Rarity said. Hakke looked confused at Rarity. Her horn started to glow again. She brought up a black pyjamas with white musical notes printed on it. "Weeell, do you like it?" she asked. "Eeeeeh..." "Come on! Put it on!" Rarity said and threw the pyjamas at Hakke. He picked it up and looked closer at it. All the other ponies was almost already in their pyjamas. He quickly stuffed his hoofs down the fine black pyjamas and zipped it. Twilight walked up to Hakke in his new clothing. "Aww, you look cute in your new pyjamas, haha!" "Oh you say that? Try look at yourself for once!" Hakke replied. Both of them laughed. The 7 ponies were having a great time during the night. They ate lots of sweets, played games, and generally had fun. Hakke started to realize that he might have spend too much time in his work, and too little on being with other ponies. As the evening passed by, the 7 ponies was preparing to go to sleep. They packed out their sleeping bags and placed them in a circle next to each other. Hakke was of course next to Twilight, and Rarity on the other side. She liked to sneak up on them and spy, even though Twilight knew of it. They spend alot of time telling each other stories, mostly the scary ones. Some were better than others, and some wasn't really that good. Everypony said goodnight to each other after the ghost stories and laid down to finally get some sleep. 30 minutes after the lights were turned off, somepony suddenly started to talk again. "Psst! Pinkie Pie! Are you sleeping?" Rainbow Dash whispered. "No. Not yet. I don't really feel like sleeping." "Me neither. What about you Fluttershy?" "Uhm... No. I keep thinking about that scary ghost story Pinkie told," Fluttershy said. "Are you serious? That story was lame! I could make one ten times better!" "Hey! Stop nagging on my story like that! It was way better than ANYTHING you guys could make up!" Pinkie said. "So the ghost story wasn't real? Oh my goodness, I'm so relieved," Fluttershy said as she sighed deeply and sunk into her sleeping bag. Another voice appeared out of the dark. "Hmf! Why is it that every time I'm with you girls, I'm never able to get some sleep," Rarity said grumpy. "Well, anyway. Now that I'm awake, what are we talking about?" Rarity asked as she turned around to talk to the others. "Not much. Just don't feel like sleeping right now. Is Applejack awake?" Rainbow Dash said as she looked over at Applejack's bag. Rainbow stretched her hoof to reach Applejack and poked her in the side. "Hey Applejack! Are you awake?" Rainbow said poking Applejack multiple times. "Yes, now I am, since ya' can't stop pokin' me," she said grumpy. Rainbow Dash returned her hoof and chuckled. "Hehe, sorry about that." "Ya don't say..." "What's going on over here? I thought everypony was asleep?" Twilight suddenly said. "Twilight! You're awake too?" Rainbow said surprised. "Yes, I am. And Hakke too." "What? It doesn't look like he's awake." "He is. I can clearly hear the music from his headphones," Twilight said pointing her hoof at Hakke. All the girls starred at Hakke. Twilight poked him in the side and he woke up and yelled. "WHOA, IT WASN'T ME!" He yelled as he covered his face with his hooves. He peeled trough a small hole. The other ponies were still starring at Hakke. "Eh, didn't do what?" Twilight said confused. Hakke let his guard down again and smiled awkwardly. "Hehe, sorry. I was having some trouble sleeping, so I decided to put on my headphones," Hakke said rubbing his hoof in the back of his head. The other ponies started to laugh. "Well, now that everyone is awake, shouldn't we play a game?" Pinkie Pie said and jumped inside of her sleeping bag. "Yea, sure! Let's do that!" Twilight said. They all crawled out of their sleeping bags still wearing their pyjamas and started to play some of the leftover party games. The slumber party continued far into the night. --- Continued In chapter 9 ---
Heart Beats - Chapter 1: Prologue♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 1: Prologue ♫ As he walked towards the entrance to the stage, he felt something was missing. I accidently wrote 9:50 PM instead of AM]
Heart Beats - Chapter 2: Love At Accident♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 2: Love at accident ♫ Hakke and Vinyl was on their way to Ponyville, strolling down the road.
"Oh no! The kangaroo!"
Heart Beats - Chapter 4: The Meeting♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 4: The Meeting ♫ Hakke was making his way trough Ponyville after a visit at the pegasi named Fluttershy, hoping to meet Twilight Sparkle.
Haha!" --Continues in Chapter 7--
Heart Beats - Chapter 7: A Table For Two♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 7: A Table For Two ♫ Outside the library, the rain was pouring down from the now dark sky. --Continues in Chapter 8--
Heart Beats - Chapter 8: Festive Nights♫ Heart Beats - Chapter 8: ♫ Hakke slightly opened his eyes.
