Outside the library, the rain was pouring down from the now dark sky. The sun was hidden behind the dark stormy clouds, making the before sunny day dark and gloomy. It began to thunder outside. A storm was approaching. Luckily, everypony was inside. Wrapped up in their carpets nice and dry.
Hakke was inside with Twilight. They were lying on a carpet looking trough a photo album owned by Twilight. It was filled with pictures of her and her friends. They had been trough so many things together, so there was plenty of memories to save. Hakke didn't really have any memorial photos of him and his friends, reasonably because he didn't have any. Only Vinyl. His only real friend. And he let her down yesterday. Maybe she'd never talk to him again, he thought so.
"Oh, look at this one! It's some pictures we took at a slumber party at Fluttershy's cottage," Twilight said. She pointed with her hoof on the picture of the 6 ponies dressed up in pyjamas. Hakke chuckled quietly at the sight of Twilight in her purple pyjamas with small white stars printed on.
"What is it? What's so funny?" Twilight asked.
"Its just... You look kinda cute in your pyjamas," Hakke said. Twilight laughed followed by Hakke. She blushed a little, but nothing to mention really. They flipped the page and another picture appeared. It was a picture of the 6 ponies giving each other mud masks. Rarity was pouring mud on Fluttershy's face while Twilight was pouring it at Pinkie's. Rainbow Dash and Applejack was throwing lumps of mud at each other. Hakke laughed again.
"Haha! I see that Rainbow Dash and Applejack aren't the most feminine mares at all!" Hakke said laughing.
"Haha, you are completely right!" She replied now smiling again at Hakke. The storm was getting really bad and intimidating outside. Hakke looked at the window only to see the pouring rain dripping down on the glass. The rain made him in a good mood, but the thought of getting home tired him much. He breathed out in a big sigh. Twilight noticed Hakke's sigh and looked at him in confusion. She looked towards the window right after and quickly figured out what was bothering him.
"If you are having trouble with the storm outside, you are always welcome to stay here the night over Hakke. I got an extra bed," she said and smiled. Hakke looked at Twilight's face and lightened up a bit inside.
"I'd love to Twilight," Hakke said.
"Great! Then we can have our own little slumber party," Twilight said smiling. A weird chill went trough Hakke's body causing him to get a bewildered facial expression. Just for a moment, Hakke thought she meant something else when she said slumber party. He shook his head and wiped the thought out of his mind and to cover up on it he smiled to Twilight and chuckled.
"Yes, yes of course! I feel like drinking some tea," Hakke said.
"Let me go make some then," Twilight said. She closed the photo album and put it on the shelf, back were it was taken from the beginning. Hakke trotted around in the library. He found that same book he read the other day. Rolando and Julietta. He picked up the book and flipped the pages and ended up on a random one again.
"Dear friend! I have never been so happy to see you! Do you have any joyful news to provide me with?"
"Good to see you too, Rolando old friend."
"How is my beautiful love? Is she getting along with her life and her parents? Does she miss me? Oh, what a silly question!"
"...I'm very sorry to tell you this Rolando... But Julietta has past away. I saw her, lying cold and lifeless in a coffin..."
"...No...My dear friend, what are you telling me? This can't be true! What is these lies you tell me?!"
"I ain't telling lies my friend. Its true, and I'm very sorry for you... There is nothing else I can do."
Rolando jumped onto his friend and grabbed his coat and yelled with tear filled eyes.
"NO! This can't be true! Please tell me it's not true! How can i possibly go trough the rest of my miserable life out here with nothing to hold on! No-one to love..."
"I-I'm sorry Rolando... I'm sorry..."
Hakke heard Twilight's voice once again in his ear.
"You can burrow the book if you like it," she said. A chill went trough Hakke again. He closed the book and put it back on the shelf quickly.
"No, it's fine. I'm just... skimming some pages in there. Nothing special," he said, again rubbing his hoof in the back of his head. Twilight laughed and placed the cups on the table. Hakke sat down next to Twilight at the table. Like last time they were together, they talked about alot of things. Hakke didn't feel nervous or shy anymore. When they were having conversation, it all came naturally. They talked. They laughed. They shared. The words he spoke. It felt like they had known each other for years. It felt good. Really good.
Time passed by and it started to get darker outside. Even though the bright sunny day was ruined by the stormy weather, Hakke had a really good time with Twilight. Every minute he spend with her felt like they were drawn closer. Even though it was only about 1 - 2 days ago they met. Though, every time their bodies touched, a chill went trough his spine. That part he haven't got used to.
After they finished up the tea, they went back to look at some pictures. This time it was pictures of Twilight in her foal-hood. She wasn't really sure about the idea, but since Hakke insisted to see them, she gave in. There were also lots of photos in this album of filly Twilight, and how she was tackling the problems that occurred on her path. Hakke giggled in between pictures. He found some of them very entertaining and some of them cute. A picture appeared of Twilight covered under some books that was placed in order to look like a small house. Beneath the picture there was a description.
"The monsters can't get me while I read now!"
Hakke burst into laughter.
"Stop it, I was just filly," she said with a smile on her face. Hakke kept laughing. She grabbed a pillow and threw it at Hakke. The impact caused Hakke to stop laughing making a "ouch" come out of his mouth. He gave Twilight a teasing look and picked up another pillow and threw it at her. She fell to the ground and burst out in laughter too. Both of them was running around, hitting each other with each of their pillows.
They ran around for a while, hitting each other with pillows avoiding to cause any harm. Hakke ran towards Twilight to hit her again, she laughed and dropped her pillow. Just as Hakke was about to hit her, he stumbled over a book and crashed into Twilight. They rolled around on the floor and Hakke ended on top of her. Twilight lay on the ground with closed eyes. Hakke got another chill trough his spine as he held his breath. Twilight opened her eyes and met Hakke's deep brown eyes. Their bodies were pushed up against each other. She blushed uncontrollably as she was unable to move because of Hakke pushing her to the ground with his body. Both of them remained silent and looked at each other. Hakke caught Twilight's eyes and stared for a while. Suddenly Twilight smiled and said something.
"Ehm, excuse me?" She said with a awkward smile. Hakke quickly got the point and moved away from Twilight. She sat up and slided a hoof down her mane to keep the look.
"I-I'm so sorry Twilight! That really wasn't supposed to happen," Hakke said nervously.
"...It's... Ehm, It's okay... Hehe," Twilight said blushing a little again. It became silent in the room again. The two ponies were sitting on the floor next to each other. Hakke rubbed the back of his head again.
"Should I... Ehm, go get some more tea?" Twilight asked in attempt to break the awkward silence. Hakke simply nodded an said: "Yea, sure..."
The two ponies sat down again and drank some tea together. They quickly forgot the awkward moment from before and got into talking again. Twilight looked up at the watch and let out a surprised gasp.
"Wow, look at the time. Its almost 11pm," Twilight said pointing her hoof at the watch on the wall. Hakke looked up at the watch and as she said, it was almost 11pm. 10:56 to be exact.
"I'm actually getting kinda tired," Hakke said rubbing his eyes.
"Well, lets go upstairs then. All this running around has made me tired and exhausted too," She replied. They quickly drank the last of their tea and headed upstairs.
"WHAT?" Twilight suddenly yelled. Hakke looked confused at the even more confused looking purple mare. Twilight looked panicly around the room. Hakke got even more confused.
"Ehm, what's the problem?" Hakke asked quietly. Twilight turned around. Her pupils has gotten huge.
"The spare bed is missing! How can that be?" Twilight yelled.
"What? Your extra bed is missing?"
"Yes, exactly! It was here the other day!"
"How can a bed disappear? I mean, It's a BED!" Hakke said.
"I don't know! It's just... gone...," Twilight replied. She walked over to her own bed. There was a note on the shelf next to her bed. She lowered her head to read the it.
"Dear Twilight. I hope you don't mind, but I borrowed the spare bed since I'm picking up a friend to travel with me to Canterlot. The royal guard is picking me and my friend up here later. I'm sorry about telling you this so late. Hope you aren't gonna need it the next past days!
Sincerely, your number one assistant, Spike"
"...What..." Twilight said. Hakke walked to her and saw the note on the shelf. He read it and looked at Twilight again. Both of them looked at Twilight's bed again. Hakke started rubbing the back of his head. Again.
"Ehm, maybe I should just..."
"No, no, its alright! We can just... you know, share my bed," Twilight said trying to sound like she wasn't feeling uncomfortable about it. Hakke smiled back at Twilight.
"Uhm, sure then."
The two ponies got under the blanket. They looked at each other and smiled as Twilight turned off the lights.
"Goodnight Hakke."
"Goodnight Twilight."
Both the ponies had fallen deeply asleep. Each got half of the bed and shared the blanket. Twilight was rolling around, trying to find a comfortable spot in her sleep. After rolling around for a while she accidentally rolled up on the left side of Hakke, with a hoof around his stomach. She hugged around his body and moaned quietly. She was still asleep. Hakke woke as she moaned and found to his surprise, Twilight Sparkle clinging upon him. A chill went trough his spine again, like every time him and Twilight's bodies collided. He tried to mangle out of her grip but was unsuccessful. If he wiggled to much, she would wake up. There was nothing to do. Hakke tried to relax but couldn't.
He blushed and a drop of sweat slided down his forehead. Twilight was still attached to Hakke. His heart was beating faster and faster and he's breathing became harder. He looked at Twilight as she was laying there sleeping. He smiled. Never before had he met such a beautiful mare. Hakke leaned his head back and relaxed. He wanted to enjoy this moment, even though it felt really wrong.
