Not everything stays in Las Pegasus...
Not everything stays in Las Pegasus
Twilight and Princess Luna tensed up and gave each other nervous glances as they approached Princess Celestia on her throne. The white alicorn gave them an awkward, glassy smile as she sensed their timid manner. It was odd enough that they had asked her to send her guards away so that they would have the privacy normally only reserved for matters of the most dire circumstances. They stopped a few lengths away and slowly sat while barely audible whispering bounced between the two. Celestia's smile fell into confusion as Luna wilted under a particularly stern rebuttal from Twilight.
"If I may," Celestia began "what exactly happened that you two need to speak with me so privately?"
Twilight went very quiet and started staring at her hooves, blushing furiously. Luna nearly did the same before shaking her head and giving a nervous laugh.
"Well, you see sister, it's actually an interesting story... um, well... you see, Twilight and I had just come back from the negotiations, which went very well by the way! The griffons were very..."
"AHEM!" Twilight was still blushing but had turned her head to give a reprimanding stare as Luna went off track.
Celestia gave the pair yet another confused looked as Luna, a goddess, was cowering beneath a withering stare from Celestia's own student.
"I'm well aware of how the treaty went sister, you both told me about it a little over two weeks ago when you got back..."
"...right," Luna gave Twilight another nervous glance before continuing on. "Anyway, we decided to celebrate at one of the newer night clubs in Las Pegasus on our way back. It was unfortunate that we didn't realize that the bar was serving rather... strong... drinks and, well, we decided to, um, take refuge in a hotel for the night as we were... inebriated. The thing is that... when we... I, mean, at the... What I'm trying to... s-say is that we were rather careless with our magic and our ideas weren't at their best and... well we both were... I... and she..."
Luna was visibly shaking and Twilight couldn't possibly have a more embarrassed look on her face. Celestia was deeply worried from their obvious trauma.
"I guess my point is that I... I got..."
"She got me pregnant!" Twilight burst out just as a few tears hinting at her emotional torrents broke free from her tear ducts before she dropped to the floor with her hooves over her eyes and hyperventilated.
Celestia sat in her chair dumb founded. Not a trace of emotion escaped her blank stare as the mares before her cowered in fear.
"Luna... we need to talk. Twilight..." Celestia stared for good long time trying to figure out what to say. With a gentle sigh and shake of her head her gaze softened on the terrified unicorn.
"... welcome to the family I suppose... but I'm not going to be the one explaining this to your parents."
