//-------------------------------------------------------// An Assassin's Love -by Y-T-Mellon- //-------------------------------------------------------// //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: A New Position //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 1: A New Position Chapter 1: A New Position I stood outside of the council room where everypony is disgusting over politics, something I do not quite find interesting. I then saw a fancy outfitted guy with blond, groomed hair, and instantly despised him. Blue blood, the steam for brains as Luna called him. He strode over to the door, pausing right beside me. "Oh look, a crook is here," he mocked. I gave him a stare with no emotion. "Luna's in there," I said frankly. "It seems like your unfashionably late again," I said. He rolled his eyes and continued. I sighed as I quickly got bored. There is literally nothing to look at in this hallway. Out of all the hallways, I got this one. I then started hearing hoofsteps of guards. I smiled as I have something to look at now. Celestial strides in, crown and all. "Your highness," I said, slightly bowing. She nods back. She strides into the room, strangely with only three guards. Usually she had four surround her. I heard running hoofsteps coming from the other end of the hallway. I got out my hidden blade just in case. Instead of an enemy, a mare with gold armor and sword ran into the wall. "Stupid armor," she muttered. I cleared my throat, grabbing her attention. "Oh, sorry," she regained a proper posture and stroded into the room. What is it with striding today? I wondered. After five minutes, the mare came back out and leaned against the door, looking down the hallway. I stood in silence, not really bothering to think of a topic. After five minutes I'm wondering why that nopony is gonna attack today. I look over to get a good look at the mare. She had a neon blue coat, and a neon yellow mane. I'm not even going to try to wonder why she is not sneaky. Her eyes though, were forest green. I then looked back forward and remained position. After what seemed like hours, Blueblood walked out of the room, looking furious. He turned to me and then smirked. "I see that my aunt has stooped so low, that she hires criminals to be her guards," he said. I looked at him, a little angry with what he said. "And I see that you have became stupid enough to mess with someone who can kill you," I spoke stoically. Blueblood gasped. "Are you speaking against me peasant!?" He asks. "No, I'm giving you advice," I said. He growled and turned away. With a fancy shmancy huff he walks away. The mare beside me starts laughing once he's gone. I looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "What's so funny?" I asked. She stopped herself and regained her posture. "You're the only one who gave him advice for his own safety," she said still smirking. I slowly smiled. "I'm Spada by the way, what's yours?" She asks. I stand in silence for a moment. "My name's Quickblade," I said. We stood in awkward silence for what seemed like two hours when Luna and Celestial walked out. "I think that will settle it sister," Luna said. Celestia nodded in response. I looked back at the room inside to see a couple of ponies stayed. It is an old trick in the book. "We should go discuss this in private," Luna continued. Celestia nods. Spada walked with the three other guards in formation. I delayed a little, making sure we aren't followed. I put my hood on and look down the hall to see two ponies coming. I quickly tried to see any weapons. I managed to see one of them carrying a dagger in their boot. I hurried off and caught up with the group. "Spada, two ponies are following us," I said. Spada looks at me in disbelief. "Who?" She asks. I looked behind us to see if they're still following. "I don't know, one has a dagger and the other seems to be unarmed. I'll take out Mr pointy, you take out Mr strong once we stop, got it?" I ask. Spada nods. We continued walking in the maze of hallways, and those two ponies have not stopped following us. If they're gonna try to kill them, at least do it correctly, I thought. We stopped when Celestia and Luna entered a chamber, and all five of us guarded the door. Spada nods at me and I walked to the corridor where the attackers had stopped. "Dude, there's five of them, one of them is an Assassin! I am gonna die if I try!" One said. "He's a pegasus, you are a unicorn, do the math," the other said. "Fine, but I'll kill you again if we're in hell," he said. I got out my hidden blades. Never mind about the plan, I can take care of these two. I have two pistols ready to fire. I got out from my hiding place and shot the guy who tried to encourage his friend. "Oh crap," the unicorn said. I got out the other gun and aimed at his leg. I shot, the unicorn falling over. This will be an easy interrogation. I walked towards him and picked him up. I walked over to a window, rope darted his leg, and dangled him from the window."Oh Celestia please no!" He screamed. "What are you doing?" Spada asked as she got a sight of me. "Isn't it obvious? I'm interrogating," I said. She gives me an unamused look. "Pull him in right now," she said. I rolled my eyes. "This'll be quick, give me a second," I said. I leaned out the window. "Hey buddy, who sent you here?" I asked. The unicorn kept babbling on for me to not drop him. "I will drop you if you don't answer my question!" I yelled. "Alright alright I'll answer your questions! Just pull me up dear Celestia please!" He screams. "Thank you crybaby," I said, pulling him in. I took out the rope dart, looking him in the eyes. "Last time, who sent you here?" I ask. "I don't bucking know! I just got this letter today asking me to kill Luna or else I'd die!" He said. I face palmed at this coward. I got out my hidden blade and aimed for the neck. "Quickblade! No!" Spada said before I ended his misery. I groaned. "Why do you think you're the boss of me?" I ask her. "Because I am a Captain, I outrank you," she said. I shook my head. "No, actually you don't, I outrank you," I said simply, pulling the unicorn back with a rope dart. "At least leave him to live because we need to interrogate him too," she said, crossing her arms. I sighed. "Fine, here's your suspect," I said. The unicorn started babbling on how thankful he was of the mercy he's been given. I watched as the unicorn was taken away by three guards. Celestia and Luna opened the chamber doors. "What was all the fuss?" Celestia said. "Before I answer your question do I outrank Quickblade?" Spada asks. "Okay, Luna, be honest and try your best to let miss bright as a sun here down easy since I obviously outrank her," I said. Celestia and Luna started giggling at our fight. "What did I tell you, perfect team," Luna said. Spada and I have our eyes wide open, shocked at the news. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Home Bitter Home //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 3: Home Bitter Home Chapter 3: Home Bitter Home I took off my cloak, finally able to rest. I go to the bathroom to check to see how I look. I look into the mirror to see a grey pony with a dark green mane. His eyes were also grey. I sometimes forget who I look at in the mirror. I changed into some khakis, along with a button up blue shirt. I laid down on the couch and got out the remote. I turned it to the news to see a report about the mission today. "Yes, we are here when a Lunar Assassin and a Celestial Guard had supposedly teamed up and taken an illegal weapons seller in what Celestia described, 'in minutes' what took her guards weeks. Is this a sign that the grudge between the LA and the CG are over? We've asked eye witnesses to give their opinion..." "Um, I think that this isn't an alliance, because really from all the evidence we've had of them being rivals, it's just too much and too good to be true." "No, they're not gonna be all buddy buddies for long if they are now that's for sure, haha!" I sighed and turned it to something else. I then saw a meditation channel. I smiled and turned it to that. I looked around the room to find a yoga mat. I laid it down and sat on it. I breathed in and out slowly. Then the freaking phone starts ringing. I ignored it. After a couple of minutes it rang out again. I reached over and answered with speaker on "Who is this?" I ask with my eyes closed as I conetrated on the music. "Hey Quickblade!" Spada's voice said. I groaned. "So, I've been thinking," she said. "Must've hurt," I replied calmly. I get dead silence before she continues. "I thought maybe we could establish a few ground rules since we both basically have the same bui-" I hung up. I meditated calmly for a good ten minutes until I heard a knock on the door. The door that leads to Spada's house. I groaned. "Nobody's home!" I said. All I wanted to do was meditate today. Is that too much to ask? "Stupid I know you're there. Open the door," she demanded. I grumbled and got up. I walked over and opened the door. I walked back inside and go to the kitchen that's beside the living room. The only thing separating the two is a counter. I love this kitchen. I start pouring some milk into a cup and start drinking. "Wow, you have a really peaceful room," Spada said. "While having a disturbing neighbor," I mumbled under my breathe. I looked at her with a raised eyebrow. "Now what do you want? I just want to meditate today," I said rather rudely. Spada facepalms. "Ground rules! Rules basically!" She exclaimed. "What're rules?" I asked getting out a soda. She looks at me with wide eyes. I couldn't help but smirk. I sighed in content when I sat down with my drink. "Anyway, I'm all ears so go ahead and tell me," I said. A book the size of Manehatten dropped into my lap, more specifically, at a spot you do not want to hit. I groaned in pain as the book basically destroyed the lower half of my body. "Since you won't listen, you are going to read!" She said, crossing her arms. I sighed. I put it on the coffee table, which breaks under the weight. "How many rules are there!?" I yell. "Ten," she answered. I looked at her with dumbfounded looks, then stare at the book itself. "Why are there so many pages!?" I yelled. She giggled. "It's Twilight Sparkle Extra Detailed Edition," she answered. I look at the cover to see initials TSEDE. I picked up the book, and placed it beside me. I pat it on the back. "I am not gonna read it," I said. "Too bad," Spada said. Meanwhile, about ten hours later... I awoke with a startle. Luna appeared in my room. "Sister? What's wrong?" Luna asks. I look at her with fear in my eyes. "Canterlot will fall," I said slowly. My visions have never failed before, why start now? "Sis, what happened," she demanded. I look away. "I saw a burning castle, screaming, and hundreds of Lunar Assassin's and Celestial Guards were captured. Then, we were separated, me with my guards and you with were Assassins," I foretold. Luna was shaking. I put a reassuring hand on her shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll be fine," Luna said. I nodded. I tried to return back to sleep, but something kept bugging me. I sighed. I got out a piece of parchment and named everyone I think I saw. I froze when I finished. Spada and Quickblade were nowhere to be found. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: Origin Stories //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 4: Origin Stories Chapter 4: Origin Stories I sighed in content as I had started standing with only eight fingers. I look at all my fingers in use, except my pinkie fingers. I closed my eyes and started standing with only one hand. It has been a few weeks since me and Spada's first mission. We're actually starting to get along better. I had established some ground rules with her as she had to to me. I don't remember the ground rules so I don't really care. I then started to get back down. One thing I realized about Spada, she tends to open doors without permission. I sighed in relief when I got down, and sat on the couch. I turn on the TV to the news. "Hello, we are here in Rarity's Boutique where an arrest had occurred. The pony arrested was an infamous drug-dealer/serial killer. We asked the manager herself on what she saw." "Yes um, I saw an unassuming looking pony come in, he looked harmless until a pony burst through the window and slammed a hammer against the pony's head. Then, I was pinned with the pony, yelling out threats of killing me when the door opened and a spear flew into the room, butt end first, and hits the stallion. The next thing I know, the Lunar Assassin and Celestial Guard were fighting for some reason. I thanked them as hard as I could, but if those two ponies are watching, thank you for saving my life!" I smiled. I turned it to something else. I kept searching channels to watch when Spada opens the door. She walks in front of me. I leaned aside to see the TV. She steps sideways. I sighed. "What is it Spada?" I asked. She hands me a letter from Luna. I open it to read. Dear Quickblade, I know it is hard to deal with a Celestial Guard, but please try to get along with her better. Start off by asking her how she got the job in the first place. Ask her her favorite anything, just get along. You're boss and friend, Luna I sighed. I crumpled it up and threw it away. "What'd it say?" Spada asks. "Well, Luna said we should get along better, starting off with how we got our positions, but I think I know how you got in," I said. She groans. "Really? I do not need a life coach," she said. I sighed again. "We're gonna have to, bosses' orders," I said. She shakes her head. A knock came on the door. The mailmare gave her a letter. Spada looks at it and groans in frustration. She sits in front of me. "I'll go first," she said. Nine years ago... I, Spada, daughter of Ricco, am bored. I have to sit and smile and that's it. I waved as a gentle colt passed by. I sat in the same chair that I think broke my tailbone by now. I sighed after five minutes. My father and I are here in Canterlot to do something about his business. "Papa, when are we going to leave?" I asked. He sighs. "I don't know sweetie, but I hope it's soon. I think you can go now, be back in ten minutes," my father said. I nodded and hurried off. I went off to his break room. With a couple of bits, I put some into the vending machine. I got out some sticky buns, always good in something like this. I started heading back when someone had bumped into me. I looked up to see a Celestial Guard in full armor. I almost dropped my sticky buns. It was the Shining Armor. He's one of the best CG's out there. He's also awesome! I almost went full-on fan filly and smiled. He chuckles. "You look easily impressed, guess you're a fan of mine huh," he says, kneeling eye level. I nod. "Well, you already look tough, I bet that when you grow up, you'll be a great Celestia Guard," he said. I almost dropped my sticky buns again, staring in awe with my jaw dropped. He chuckled. "Well, I've gotta go, my wife is probably wondering where I am, bye," he said, ruffling my hair. This day became the best day ever for me. Present... "... And I was only twelve at the time," Spada finished, looking into the air from the flash back, as if seeing it all over again. I sat on the couch with a face of interest. "So, the only reason you're here is because you were told you're gonna be good? Wow, I wish I had that experience when I was your age at the time," I said. I leaned back. "Well, I told you how I got in, now it's your turn," she said. I nodded. I closed my eyes, remembering how it happened. Ten years ago... My stomachs growled loudly, in need of food. I sighed and looked around. I only have a couple of a scraps. I can't live like this, I just can't. I sighed as I continued to walk home from school. I never thought I'd ever be like this. I got out my pocket knife, flicking it in and out. I've gotten my cutie mark recently, it was a knife halfway out a sheath. Turns out I'm good with knives. I had done some cool stuff from masterfully cut food into dices to some cool carving. I then heard something other than my stomach. I heard a cry. A cry for help. Confused, I walked down an alley way and found someone pointing a knife at someone's throat. I did the first thing that came to my mind. "Hey! Leave her alone!" I yelled. The stallion looks at me, smirking. "Beat it kid, or you're next," he said. He turned back to his victim. I got a rock and threw it at him. It hits his face. He turns to me enraged. "Okay now you're asking for it brat," he said. I rushes up to me as I stood paralyzed by fear. He picks me up and pushes me into the wall. He knocks the wind out of me and throws me onto the ground. "Don't mess with someone who's stronger than you kid," he said, holding his knife. He bends down to my eye level, keeping his foot on my back. "Because you're going to be weak at the end, or in this case, the entire time," he continued. I looked at him with rage in my eyes. "I am not weak!" I yelled. He stomps on me, making me yell out in pain. "Don't you dare talk back to me you stupid kid," he said. I grunted in pain as he forces his foot harder. I slowly started reaching for my knife. "You better remember who is superior to you!" He continued. I grabbed it. "Because in the end..." I got the blade out. "You're just a hopeless kid," he finished. I quickly thruisted the knife into his leg, making fcry out in pain. Out of some instinct, I got up and lashed out again, stabbing him. I looked up to see I stabbed his chest where the heart should be. I backed up, taking the blade. I looked around in fear. I have just killed someone. I looked down to see his body, lying there motionless. I then heard sirens, signaling the police. I ran. Before I exited the alleyway, a cop stood in front of me. It has been three days since my arrest. I've slightly gotten over the kill though. In my jail cell, I heard a buzzing. I look over expected to see my parents for the hundredth time today, but instead see the princess of the night. I backed up, scared. "Quickblade, we need to talk," she said. I nodded. "You have been evicted for the murder of Robanny Kelp, a serial killer. I have a few questions to ask," Luna said. I nodded looking at the ground. "First, how did you do it?" She asks. I explained about my pocket knife. She nods, listening. "Why did you kill him?" She asks. "I know it seems clear, but I want to know what happened," she continued. I explained why I was there in the first place. "Now, for my final question, will you please join me on a walk?" She asks. I shakingly nod. We walked through the halls, me shaking with complete fear. "Quickblade, I am assembling a group. A group of ponies willing to guard me and go out to missions," she said. I looked at her quizzically. "But, isn't that what Celestial Guards are for?" I ask. She nods. "Yes, but this is a group that works for me and in discreet," she continued. I nodded, listening. "This group of ponies are called Assassins, I want you to be a part of it," she continued. I looked at her wide eyed. "Why me? I killed somepony!" I said. "It's okay, that's going to happen, and you only killed that pony for a good cause," she said. I nodded. "So, will you join me?" She asks. I looked at her. I nodded. "Good, for your first assignment, get your weapons," she said. I nodded. I stood in front of the weapons set before me. Ranging from swords to guns. I looked at one pistol in particular. It seemed like a cannon-barrel pistol. I took it and put it in sheath. I look at all the melee weapons to see that I didn't like any of them. "Quickblade, do you want a blade?" She asks. "If you're looking for something discreet, there aren't any sadly," she continued. An idea clicked. "I can make one!" I said. Luna smiles. "Go on then," she said. After planning it out for over eight hours, I came up with a weapon. I'm gonna call them the Hidden Blades. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5: The Fall... //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 5: The Fall... Chapter 5: The Fall... I was snoring in my home made hammock after last night. For the first time, I had a bed time story. At first I kept protesting, saying I was too old. Spada on the other hoof said otherwise. All of a sudden, I heard a banging on the door. I yawned and got up, feeling groggy. Yesterday was tell stories day, until someone came up and told me that there is a mission tomorrow at the castle. I got up completely and heard more banging. "I'm up Spada, no more noises please!" I said. I got out some milk, drank some and considered it breakfast. I put on my cloak, which had a new color upgrade. Now, it had a crimson streak around my hood and chest, making the Assassin's symbol. I loved the new design. I got outside to see a bed headed Spada in her usual golden armor, but with a helmat on. I found it strange because these were only used for defensive situations. We started hearing five bells. These bells mean something is wrong. I climbed up the castle wall while Spada ask around on what's going on. I get to a high point and look everywhere. I then squinted to see an enemy airship. It was an old-school one, one that uses magic and classic flamethrowers. Before I started trying to climb down, it shot six mortars. I fell onto my back and got the wind knocked out of me. I felt I was picked up. I look over to see Spada carrying me with fear in her eyes. "What the Tartarous was that?!" She asks. I shook my head. "Enemy airship, counted only one though," I said. As if Fate decided to have a joke, seven airship anchors dropped down, missing us by an inch. The next thing I see, is smoke and soot everywhere. I got up, trying to look for Spada."Spada!?" I yelled out. "Spada!!!" I tried to scream. Before I screamed again, an explosion erupted at the castle. At the room where Celestia and Luna's thrones are. I look down to see a mare in gold armor rushing to the castle, carrying the same stupid spear like always. "Spada no!" I yelled, trying to run, only to be swept up by two Assassins. "Let me go I have to save Spada!" I yelled. "Keep quiet, there's nothing we can do, if we stay, there's nothing to do!" He yelled back. I kept gasping for breath as I saw my friend dissapear in the smoke. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I felt shattered. Everything went by so quick. I closed my eyes to try and stop the tears on my face from falling. I then, heard silence. I open my eyes to see a ceiling, sound of pouring rain coming down. I look around to see I'm in a handcrafted hut. I sat up, looking around. "Where am I?" I asked out loud. "You're in our chieftain hut as Luna called it," an Assassin said in the corner. I look at him. "Where's Spada?" I asked. He spits into a spit spittoon. "How's your head?" He asks. I look at him with a glare. "Genuinely, how is your head, I don't have a silly grudge on Celestial Guards," he said. I kept frowning. "Where. Is. Spada. You son of a-" Luna cuts me off with her hoof when she comes in. "I'm sorry Mr. Eugene, Quickblade is not too well, I'll take him for you," she said. I turned to her with daggers in my eyes. "Where is Spada, and don't give me some drummed up BS," I said. Luna, wide eyed now, stared at me. "Quickblade, I do not know where she is," she said. I felt anger boiling. I kept my composer, and kept my cool for the most part. "Luna, she is about as bright as the sun, where is she," I ask again. She sighs and starts pinching the bridge of her nose. "Luna, just lay it on me, if she's taken prisoner, I won't go after her," I said, excellently lying. She bights her lower lip. "Quickblade, when I say we don't know where she is, I mean we think she's... Dead," she finished. I stared blankly. "Quickblade, there may be a chance she survived, but they're very slim. If it helps, we know who may or may not have killed her and destroyed Canterlot," she said. "Spit it out," I mumbled, still staring. "They call themselves the Air before Armageddon," she finished. "At first they were rumors, thought to be insane ponies," she said. I kept staring. "Then, well, Canterlot was attacked. We found you and took care of you for five days now. Most Guards and less than half the Assassins were caught," she said. I nodded, understanding. "Then, they took over Canterlot, and are expecting us to attack in one week," she said. I nodded. I know what I must do. "Air before Armageddon huh? The only Armageddon they'll face is me," I said, turning to leave the tent. Meanwhile, "What do you mean you can't find them?" I ask. The Celestial Guard in front of me shakes his head. "Captain Spada, we've looked, but the Assassins appear to be in hiding for now," he said. I groaned and slammed my fist onto the table. "We are gonna need to find them fast since we only have a week!" I said. He shakes his head. "We have to let them find us the way Celestia described them," he said. I sighed and nodded. I was separated from Quickblade during the attack. I thought I heard a cry for help, and told him to stay there. He didn't hear me apparently. Celestia soon gathered all she could find of us and teleported us to a nearby military cave in Canterlot. I was training most of our military forces. Celestia said we are gonna have to wait for the Assassins to plan the attack. The Guards on the other hand just have to carry it out since we still have a bigger group than the Assassins. I sat in my chair, my hand to my chin, trying to think what might happen. All I can think right now is of Quickblade, the stallion who's almost as stubborn as me, except calmer, sneakier, and quicker. I tried to push him out, but the thoughts of him won't budge. I sighed sadly. Bad thing about our disconnection with the Assassins, we dunno who's alive or not. I have a feeling though, that he is. I used that as my courage. For me, it's enough to go on. If he's dead, this Air before Armageddon is going to feel my want for vengeance. //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Unstoppable Team //-------------------------------------------------------// Chapter 2: Unstoppable Team Chapter 2: Unstoppable Team We kept staring at our bosses with wide eyes. "Excuse me Luna, can I have a private word with you?" I asked. She nods. We walk into the chamber and closed the door. "I cannot work with that bright-as-the-sun idiot!" I said. Luna tried her best not to laugh. "Quickblade, she is the best guard in Equestria, you are the best Assassin in Equestria. Celestia and I have felt it best that two of the best are a team," she said. "Well, I for one deny," I said, turning away. "No, this is an order Quickblade, it does not matter whether  you like it or not," she replied. I sighed. "Fine, but she better not get in the way," I said. Luna shakes her head. "We cannot gaurantee that," she said. I nodded sadly. Luna opens the door, letting us both out. I have a defeated face while Luna looks triumphant. Celestia snickers at this, causing me to give less of a crap about this. Spada looks at me, then turns away. I have a real bad feeling about this. It's noon in Canterlot as I got into the field, feeling refreshed to be outside. Spada sighs in content as well, but we soon had game faces on. Our target is a rich looking stallion, bright red coat and brown mane that's highlighted pink. His name is Redcore, a military washout who started selling illegal weapons to a benefactor. I turned to Spada, ready to give out the first command. "Alright, so we need to first find the guy, interrogate him, an- wait, what're those?" I asked, pointing to the stack of papers she's holding. "Wanted posters, he's already known so-" "No no no no, we just have to find him, not rely on pieces of paper!" I said. "Ugh, well how else can we find him?" She asks sarcastically. "We find him ourselves," I said simply. "No, because if he sees me, he'll run," she said. I facepalmed. "Then try to look like you're not trying to find him!" I start yelling. She pinches the bridge of her snout. "No, because he'll recognize my armor," she said. I grab her hand and start walking to Canterlot. "What're you doing?" She asks. "Getting you new clothes," I answer. "You are so not going to pick my clothes," she said. I ignored her and pulled her into a store. All we need to find is a cloack. "Hey look what I found!" She said. I look over and mega facepalmed. She's wearing a saggy Celestia T-shirt and long blue jeans. "I meant to find more discreet clothes," I said disappointingly. I pull off a black hoodie with a Celestial mark on the back. I thought she'd like it since she probably kissed Celestia's butt for her position. "... Okay, look here Quickblade," she said. "I do not want to look like a criminal," she said. I gritted my teeth and turned the hoodie around to show the sign. She smiles. "Oh, okay thanks," she said. She looks at me and frowns. "You need some different clothes too," she said. I rolled my eyes. "I am fine, I do not care what I look like," I said. She laughs. "Too bad," she said, taking out another hoodie that's crimson. My eyes open wide. She turns it around to show a Lunar symbol. I must admit it's pretty cool. I take it and look at what I'm wearing. I'm wearing a light armored cloak with a gold chest plate. I switch clothes and smiled. I was able to see my pants! They were black gym pants. I check my hidden blades, which still work, and then we head out the door. I looked up to see where the best vantage point is. Spada notices me looking everywhere and frowns. "Looking to get some sight seeing?" She asks. I look at her with a glare. "Okay, look here miss, I am gonna go ahead and find the guy who we're looking for, and you can go play dress up with Celestia and let pros handle this," I said. She gasped. "Excuse me?! I can find this guy with my armor on and catch him without you, who would slow me down," she said. I raised an eyebrow. "Really?" I ask. She nods, seeming triumphant. I scoff. "In that case, let's bet on it, winner outranks the other," I said. She smiles. "Deal," she said. We went back, changed our clothes back to the armor and cloak and we were off. I climbed the tower as Spada starts asking other ponies. I look around, copying this entire area like a map. I then spotted a house party in one building. Luna had said to me and Spada he's more of party animal. I look down to see a stack of hay in a cart going by and jumped. I landed into the stack, almost soft as a cloud and ran towards the party. I put my hood on, and stopped a couple feet from the door. I looked at the bouncer. "VIP?" One asks, I nodded. He looks at the list in his hands. I grabbed a sleeping dart from my pouch and stuck it on his neck, then took it away, leaving no evidence. He falls down and sleeps like a filly. I opened the door quickly and hurried in. Loud music blaring, I used my senses and instincts to try and find this guy. I look around and spotted a stallion that fits the description. I start walking to him, when suddenly the doors slam open. I look to see a mare in gold armor. "Luna dammit," I cursed. "I am here looking for a stallion named Redcore," she said. I ran at him my hidden blade out. He sees me and pulls out a gun, and shot it as soon as he aimed it at me. I side stepped the first shot, which made it hit a waiter's leg behind me. I jumped up with my wings flared, and blade out. I retract it quickly and punched his jaw. He stumbles back and fires his gun again. The bullet's end met my arm and I yelled out in pain as it penetrated my flesh. Thankfully, he shot the wrong arm. Before I got out my hidden blade, a gold spear hits his legs, making him fall down. I got out my hidden blade, keeping one inch from his throat. "Redcore, you are under arrest for illegal weapons sales," Spada and I said in unison. "Got him first," Spada said. "No, I got him first," I countered, keeping my blade where it is. "Ugh, you know what, we'll tell this to Celestia and Luna and they'll decide," she said. "Deal, but first let's interrogate him my way," I said. She shakes her head. "Oh come on, you interrogated the last guy, I only made him talk!" I said. She sighs and gestures for me to do it. I retract my hidden blade and pull him up. I then slammed him n a nearby table. "Who's your benefactor?" I ask. He spits on my arm. I punched his nose. "I asked a question, who. Is. Your. Benefactor," I commanded. He shakes his head. "I'll never tell you you filthy Assassin!" He yells. I rolled my eyes. "Fine," I said. "Spada, hold him down," I said. She does so as I search him. I pull out a note to see something interesting. "Well well well," I said. "Looks like you had a special date tomorrow, a date with weapons, money, and your 'special' buyer," I said. He sighs in defeat. "Next time, don't write your plans. Oh wait, there isn't a next time," I said. Spada pulls him up and starts taking him to the castle. "Oh by the way Spada, I won," I said. She grunts and shoots me a glare. We continue on the road to the castle. As we walked in silence, it was broken when Spada spoke. "Nice job finding him," she said. I look at her and nod. "Yeah, I guess so, thanks for helping me detain him," I said. She nods back. I think I actually respect this mare. I then realized I might have sounded sexist back there with the clothes store. "Oh um, by the way, I uh, didn't mean to sound sexist when we fought," I said. She smiles big. "It's okay, I thought you had a problem with me since we do things differently," she said. I nodded. "Yeah, that's honestly the reason. By the way, how did you know where Redcore was?" I ask. She keeps smiling. "Let's just say I relied on pieces of paper and saw it on a poster after you left," she said. I look at her stunned. "Did you just-" "Yes, yes I did," she answered smirking. I look forward and smiled. I definitely respect this mare! We entered the throne room and got Redcore detained. We both looked at Celestia and Luna. We explained what happened and then we waited for their answer on who outranked who. "Me and my sister agree that it seems neither of you outranked the other," Celestia said. "What!?" We both asked in unison. Celestia and Luna chuckle. "Well, both of you have arrested this person, technically at the same time," Luna said. We both stared with open jaws. "But, we congratulate you two for a job exceedingly well done," she continued. I sighed. "Now, you both must rest, and Quickblade, go to the infirmary to fix up your arm," Celestia said. I nod and start walking off. "Wait, I almost forgot, you both now live in provided homes now as our gift of not quitting," Celestia says smirking. She levitates two pieces of paper to us, giving an address. Spada and I nod. I walk off while Spada goes to the armory. As I sat on a seat without a bullet in my arm, I'm waiting for the doctor to give me an okay. As soon as he does, I exited this room and start walking to the exit of the castle. As I pass by a corridor, Spada walks out from that corridor and joins me. We walked in silence. We have been walking together for the past ten minutes, going in the same direction. I look at my piece of paper to see that I'm about to ditch this mare. I turn to my new home and smiled. Spada walks past me and into the next house. So she's my neighbor. I walk into my house, relieved today is finally over.
